So my twitter got hacked. Twitter in its infinite power has a scorched earth policy when it comes to these things so basically my account was erased by them. There's an appeal process but their response to my mails have so far been, "huh well thats just too bad"

So first hand experience with an entity so large that it simply doesn't have to deal with individual complaints, at all. Fuck that.

Oh well im debating starting a new account or not. Frankly If i dont have to deal with twitter again ill likely be better off. Especially when they have become so big that when things go bad they can just shrug and leave ppl hanging.

AM i pissed? of course i am. Im now without a major communication method ive used for years to talk to friends.

Eh what should i do? just forget twitter or start over does anyone really give a shit?

Just saying had an awesome 2 days at quickie con Califur. Awesome job on all the folks there! Anyone see me? grab me? I was in the pudgy fem hyena with Jingle bells on her ears. If so. YOU SAW ME! CHEEVOS!!!! DING!

ANyway yeah good con, surprised how young it skewed this year. Didn't see a ton of asshattery so it was all cool!

That con is a whole different world tho! Seriously it has a wacko vibe that just strikes me as awesome. Sanity turns off, weird shit everywhere and before you know it, your being pounced by a giant rabbit. WTF!? Hell yes!

Fc was overall a great success! I had some odd depression anxiety issues the first couple days but after some suiting I felt awesome.

To the point.

I got to meet at least a couple AWESOME new furs while there. It would have been even better to meet even more. Just saying I wish folks (including myself) weren't so bashful at these events. Loosen up let it hang out and who knows, you may meet an awesome furry (or feathery in my case) friend!

Meat and Rio were both met with great happiness by all that chose to interact with them. If ANY of you see them con wise, other wise, please please stop and say hello, give a hug!

Im hoping in future cons too that folks may actually take an interest in the person behind the suits. The couple of folks I met, and those that knew me from FA, You guys are awesome! Those I haven't met, those I may meet in the future, you are awesome too only just slightly less because I haven't met you yet. Lets remedy this!

Am I the only one that's bothered by this? I mean great if you like to stream but why must my commission be, ONLY taken as part of a stream? Are people becoming a bit too "watch me grow my ego" or am I just being a fwoopididoopity wagabanger?

There has to be other folks like me that simply don't have the time to sit and watch a stream. Now I do like watching them, even have a friend I love watching draw but when it's stream or noting by artists I would have commissioned otherwise, it just kinda bothers me.

So been on a duke of owls kick. So at the con, wandering the halls, I saw these Dr. Moreau posters. Party or gathering or something. Being huge TF fan, I was understandably curious. The posters were cryptic at best and I really never got a chance to persue it. What was it? What did I miss? I'm horribly curious!

Rio just strolling and dancing about enjoying his time over the past weekend amongst the human types. He left his scepter at home. Lucky people, none ended up gaining feathers over the course of his outing.

The wearer of the suit was becca Bunny. An amazing friend of mine who until now had zero experience in suit. I think she did amazingly well :)

So there's this thing going around about commission commandments. That's all good but what about buyers rights? Those seem to be glazed right over in the process. I take great pride in making sure that when I commission pieces, I'm as friendly and reasonable and fun to work with as possible.

What happens tho when the artist doesn't uphold their end of the deal? It's no secret that I've had very bad luck lately getting commissions to work out. So where's the commissioners rights? How about some suggestions?

I'll start:

1. The work is paid. That means the artist is contractually obligated to complete work within a REASONABLE amount of time. If that is not possible don't put yourself up as AVAILABLE. If there's to he a delay, even an unforeseen one, be courteous and communicate with the buyer! Offer refund if necessary!

2. Agree upon payment. Use a half down, half paid system in which art is delivered in steps. Dirty sketch first then completed work upon second half, payment.

3. Being paid up front doesn't mean work can be completed "when I get around to it." stick to an agreed time table. Aim for a completion date.

4. If the content of the commission isint fun or interesting for you to draw, then don't take the money. Do not give false hope in the buyer that they will get this commission even tho you don't like it!

5. Communicate communication communicate! Talk talk talk! There's nothing worse than sitting in the dark worried that asking for a progress report on an art piece will make me sound like a pushy ass hole. Do not be mad when someone asks for a progress report. It is a business transaction after all.


Please add more if you can think of them. I have nothing but respect for artists but it's only fair both sides get their own "commandments"

That said I hope to have better luck in the future commissioning mower wondeful pieces for my characters/suits.

So I put out feelers for another commission. Here's hoping this one actually works out. I've had some seriously fucked luck with commissions as of late. Well honestly for years now. I hope these work out. There's an awful lot of artists out there that just take money an run. I wOnt name names. I'm not like that. Just let it be known I've about a 25% success rate with commissioned art. Yeah I'm tired of it but what can I do? Furry artists... Can't live with them, can't fap without 'em! ;)

So I've found myself exceedingly bored lately and decided that I may, for fun, set up the occasional stream in which I suit up and prance around on cam. Take requests even, ala subservient (insert critter name here). Is there any interest in such things? I'll likely do it regardless of interest. I'm just bored and lOokin for reasons to suit up.

Dont normally post Journals but figured i would now. Jut got home from CALIFUR and it was fuggin awesome! What i wanted to do is say just incase anyone knows this guy or hes watching me, This hyena guy spotted all over hyena tattoos and even RL mane and awesome tail. I totally didnt get your name or anything but just wanted to shout out and tell you/him that his contribution to hyenadom and the fandom as a whole is duly noted and greatly appreciated! HE/you rocked hard! so remote hyena hugs n hi fives and sharing of carcass dinner! You were awesome :)

The whole con was awesome i met so many FAers too which rocked my world! Glad to hav egotten to show off my own hyena!

Met some truly memorable people felt like i belonged in the fandom for a change, all was well.

I only saw one instance of someone that needed a punch to the face but then thats between me and him. So eh theres always bad apples. but hey fuggin eh' it was an awesome con!!!
