'Aight so,
I moved back to Alberta and I'm planning on staying here until October.
I had my old job lined up (FT woohoo!) and my goal is to pay off my visa and get a new vehicle. When I left I wasn't certain if I'd be getting a dog this summer or next- but with my old job back I'd be able to bring her to work with me which would be an awesome way to get her really socialized with people of all ages. And it's working out quite well. An' work is decent pretty much all around- I feel really appreciated/needed, and I got to just come in among all the new staff and BE IN CHARGE OF ALL OF THEM muhahaha. I'm sure they didn't like me much at first but we're all friends now. :>

Other than that I just miss home like a normal person. Miss the wolves/dobermans/dragons- all you island furs.


It's too bad how good some people are at lying, though...

I bought a boa constrictor yesterday.
From the pet store I used to work at... I'd wanted her since February and eventually I just decided that if she was still there in October I'd buy her. WELL I got fired from there in the beginning of last month (long story hahah) but all the staff members (minus the owner of the store) knew I'd wanted her. So for the past month the volunteers have been sneaking her extra meals, making her all nice an' fat for me. And yesterday I went in and I bought her for staff price! HELL yes $260 snake I got you for $45. B)

She's so sick, just super super chill.

I might call her Nico, but I'm cool with hearing any suggestions too.

I was planning to find a new construction job soon anyway....
But it was my OTHER job that I was planning to lose. I wanted to keep this one.

Even though my boss was a huge pain in the ass and my supervisor was a little scary....

So, I, uh.....
Broke my tablet pen yesterday.
At least I HOPE it's just the pen. The mouse had gone all wonky too but after I re-installed the software, the mouse now works fine but the pen still does not respond at all. The little light doesn't even come on anymore. >_>
And I can't find another pen to buy.

It's a Wacom Graphire Wireless, so if anyone has an extra/old pen or knows where I can buy a second one, please let me know! 8)

This tablet had a few bad reviews and they stopped making it a while ago- but I LOVE IT and I don't want to get a different one.

This is a little late, but I just got back from Island FurBQ a few days ago!

This was the first furry event that I'd attended... I was a little nervous to go at first, but once I was there, the fun wouldn't stop! I got to meet so many new people, and after this amazing experience, there is no way that I'll be missing Rainfurrest!

A small few of you know what has been going on with this.
For those who don't, here it is.

I commissioned a fursuit head from Rarakie or FurGen Studios on October 3, 2011.
I was told she would start working on it after February 3rd.
Then- completely out of the blue on October 27th- My head was completely finished & posted to FA. I only received one WIP shot which I did not even get a chance to see or respond to. How I found out that she had even STARTED my head? - People were noting me here on FA saying congratulations. I didn't have a chance to give head measurements (the head is a a bit too big for me) or anything.

I had just moved so I held off my last payments until I found a job- I was hired on November 22nd and sent the rest of the money that day.

She shipped it and it arrived quickly.

However there were issues when I opened the box.
First- the box was too small and the ears were bent at such an angle that the glued seams had come loose. you could even see the canvas that the fur was put onto. Yes- there were holes in the back of the ears. She left out the vertical white stripes on her ears which were clearly pointed out in the reference I gave her. (http://i652.photobucket.com/albums/.....ntifaceref.png) The muzzle was not symmetrical- one side was larger and went down further than the other side. The jaw was crooked. Hot glue had been dripped on the face and wiped off- but it was still visible. She shaved the fur down too close on the bridge of the muzzle and you could see the canvas. The nose had fallen off and was rolling around in the box- it was not even completely painted.
Her photos made the head look beautiful. That was... not the case.
She played her angles very well in her photos to hide the symmetry issues- and she edited the nose to make it look like it had been completely painted.

I emailed her about it.
She apologized and told me to send it back to her- saying she would pay for shipping both ways and make me a tail to match her as compensation. (When she first reimbursed me for shipping she sent me NZD instead of CAD which left me out $50- I denied the payment and emailed her and she sent it again , this time in CAD. I don''t know if this was a genuine mistake, but she seems to do everything in USD so to me it sounds fishy, but I can't be sure.)

Months past. she continued to work on newer commissions instead of working on mine. In fact- I only just got her back today!
I had to pay an additional $172 for customs to pick it up and I have not yet gotten a reply from Rarakie about it. I emailed her yesterday and she's posted on FA since then, but has not replied to me.

I'm not happy at all.
This time, the ears were completely redone wonderfully. They look great and I'm very happy with them. However the jaw is still crooked (something she said was an easy fix) It looks like she pretty much fixed the muzzle symmetry.
So why am I so upset right now?

The right eye is completely ruined. the end of it has been torn off and crinkled and the colour has been rubbed off.

The nose looks like it has been repeatedly hit with something.

And on top of that? No tail in the box! She told me a few weeks in advance that she would ship it with the head.
Of course!


This has been such an ordeal. :( I paid $870 USD for this, plus shipping AND I tipped her. I'm in over a grand on this head... I feel I definitely got the short end of the stick.

I will post pictures up of what I have later. I'll definitely be making an AB post with emails included but right now I am so frustrated and upset that I just need to go do something else to cool off and have a breather.

She responded to my email- and says that the suit was fine before she shipped it and that the damage occurred during shipping... :/
I don't know if there is a 'proper' way to ship a suit head by itself- but it was just in the box with no protection... If that should count for anything.

ANYWAY

I found out that my building was being demolished at the end of April and my roommates decided that it wasn't important enough to tell me about it until the first of the month, even though they've known about it since before I moved in. Jerks. :P So I basically said "fuck dis" and stayed up all night packing up my things and left. My stuff is all in storage and I've been staying with my friend for a month.

Uuuuuuhm...

But I've finally found a place! I feel it's pretty amazing and I'm really excited to be moving in. $900 a month is scary for me... but I think it should be okay. Regarding money, I totally bought gas yesterday and forgot that I was actually supposed to leave that cash in there for my car insurance. e_e so today I go to check my account aaaaaaaand I got charged an extra $45, on top of the $80-something I still owe. My fault... But it sucks!! And now I don't have enough to pay it so I have to break my mom's joint account to pay for that and for a uhaul truck to move all my stuff.

I think I'm moving in on Friday.... hopefully... D: I got the keys a few days ago and it absolutely sucks that I've still over here. /complain complain whine cry bitch wah

so stressed. x_x Can't wait to move into my own home. caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaant waaaaaaaaait.

We had a pure bred black lab puppy dropped on us the other day and apparently it was either us or the highway, pretty much. ): We never take big dogs in because the owner of our store takes the puppies home so they can run around, and big dogs grow too fast for her to handle. So me and my co-worker decided we'd take him home on alternating days until we found him a home. The pup went for his shots and has already found a new home- he'll be going tokmorrow! We taught him how to sit in the meantime. Super smart boy for only 8 weeks. We're both going to miss him a ton. You sure can get attached to something in only a few days.

To top that off, my mom's boyfriend adopted a Bull Mastiff Rottie cross. She's 10 weeks, and I'm on training duty for the wrinkly mess of muscles. Puppies, ferrets, work, and halloween planning has had me really booked up lately... I've missed me free time.

And I've got a new reference sheet of my 'yote on the way! Which I've needed big time :C There's only a small change, but <3 I'll be relieved when I'm done.

No sign of Lucy yet, by the way. ):
But animal control says they're found no dead cats so I'm still hopeful someone decided they'd let her inside and then decided hey wanted to keep her. And if that's true, it's only a matter of time before she ninja's out on the new people too. Then no more outside time for my baby :C

My one friend is moving away.

Me and him could talk about anything. From childhood things to what STD's we've had/were close to getting.

He haaaated working where we did, and was only there to get some money so he could move back out of Alberta and back to his friends.

I've got a few acquaintances here... But that's it. And I'm sure I've gone on about my friends before, but they're also... back in BC. Now I've got nobody- back to square one.

.... He even lived in Sooke for a year, which is where I grew up and moved here from.
And maybe it was because of that similarity that I actually decided to share any opinions with him, let him into my life at all. Bit in the ass again though. He moves away, just like every other friend I'd ever loved.
I don't blame him though, Alberta just happens to be my cage and he viewed it the exact same way.

Visited old friends, not to mention my dad and that half of the family. I have no idea if I'll be going back to live there... :C I don't mind kids usually, but they've got a seven year old girl who literally is the face of satan whenever she gets any sugar.

Apart from that, my room would be... the shack in my dad's backyard- and, I would lose a job that seems to be beginning to offer more than it had in the first place. Little downs aside I'm sure I would be a much happier person there, but I'm still unable to make up my mind.

ALSO I did draw a bunch. I'll post some when I decide to go back into my room. There's a funny smell in there and I don't want to deal with it. LOL I probably left a bowl of cheerios in there or something. IDK but I've totally been using this as an excuse to sleep in the comfy chair. ;)

I can remember sitting in a circle on the carpet in preschool with my class.

When I was asked this, I answered, "I wanna be a cat".
I took the phrase, 'you can be anything when you grow up', literally.

I don't know, I thought you could just... switch once you became an adult.

Before I was told that was impossible, I had spent 2 months or so crawling around my house on hands and knees, having my dad yell at me to shut up and stop 'meowing', and eating my food on the floor, practicing.


It's so easy for young minds to pretend, imagine, and have fun with nearly anything.


I hate feeling like I've lost those abilities.

It was so waaarm today.
I took Brandy and Brooke, went and got a slushie and then went to the park and layed in the sun/ran around/fell asleep on a picknick table.
When I got home I goofed around in my driveway and then layed in the sun some more with my cat Lucy.

I haven't really... just gone outside for the hell of it since I lived in Sooke. I realized I've missed it. :c

Also Junkie lost a tooth the other day. :B
