Posted 12 years agoSo, I am currently in Pittsburgh, PA, not for what many other furs are there for, and I am here to make a big change to my life. My mate and I are planning on moving to Pittsburgh and we just applied to an apartment that we like, the Whitehall Place Apartments. A little backwards, getting the apartment before the job, but we are going through a temp agency that said we need to live here before they can find us anything good.
It's a big, big change for me. I've always been a close to home person, and now I'm hours away. It's gonna be really hard to get used to the fact that I can't just drive to see my family. We need it though, my mate and I. We need to spread our wings and start our own life.
The apartment we chose might not be the best, but it's enough to get out here and get started. I'm not 100% sure I'm gonna get used to the traffic (I like my backroads).
Definitely a lot to get used too. Gonna try to get to AC and the PA furs meet and great.
P.S I know I shouldn't count my chickens before they hatch, but there is very little in our application that would make them deny us.

Posted 13 years agoI am 23 years old. And it's the last day of the year. Gonna spend the day hanging with my momma. Then I'm spending tonight with my bunny ;)
I've been wanting to write a journal reflecting on this year and how things have changed. I kept forgetting, but to sum it up, if someone told me last year that this is where I'd be this year, I'd laugh.
Things for me have changed SO much in just one year that it was hard to handle. (I don't handle big changes well). Small things like me visiting my parents and the kitchen is a different color I can handle, but visiting them and being greeted with a for sale sign was really difficult.
All I can say is, my life has changed, I've changed, and it's all for the better. I'm looking forward to bigger and better things in 2013 with my fluffy bunny butt at my side.

Posted 13 years agoI'm getting really excited for FF! It's only my second convention and my first time in Connecticut! This time I'm gonna do better at meeting and talking to other Furs.
The only sucky part is that my mate could only get a hotel 5 miles away... so not too sure how (or if) we will find parking at the convention.
But it will be fun non-the-less!

Posted 13 years agoSo I go home today and my mom stops me outside a just hugs me. Then she tells me that they put our dog down last week. It hurts so bad. Especially since she was more my dog than anyone else's until I moved. I was the last one to know. ... I didn't even get to say goodbye. T-T I went inside and all of her stuff was gone. I kept expecting her to run up to me any minute with her tail wagging like crazy. When I went up stairs I kept to one side because she always would push past me to the top and block my path. It was so weird to go an entire day without hearing her collar jingling or claws clicking on the floor when she walked from one room to the other to find the best spot.
She was just shy of 12 years old. We got her on Thanksgiving 2000 from family. My stepfather brought her home in his shirt pocket. she was a tiny thing, but not the runt, the mother had stopped feeding them earlier than normal. I gave her my stuffed animals and we had a ticking clock for her in a tote for her to sleep with.
She had it good, she was the baby. Free reign of the furniture, a pillow in every room, a huge yard to play in, and a family that loved her dearly.
RIP Chloe, my fuzzball. I love you.

Posted 13 years agoWow! Just found out that this old GBC game I used to own is going from $120 to over $1000 on both Amazon and Ebay.
It's called Shantae. I got it as a gift when I was young, loved it, then I grew up and traded it in. Few months ago I was feeling nostalgic so my mate got the iPad sequel for it. Tried to find the original in stores that have older games with no luck.
Man I am SO pissed. Wish so bad now that I kept it. :'(

Posted 13 years agoSo this has been bothering me for a while now. Several weeks ago I was in a group and one person was telling someone else everyone's sexuality. Don't know why. But it was said that I am straight. I'm not. It bothers me that without even knowing me someone would just assume that.
First off: I really don't like labels. I don't think it's right.
Second: I've only been dating for the last 5 years of my life and I've only been with two people, so what if they both happened to be guys. It doesn't mean I only like guys. It just means I never had the courage to ask a girl out or no girl ever asked me.
I guess if I had to label myself, I'd say I'm pansexual because gender really doesn't matter to me as long as I like the person. And right now I'm with a guy that I love so I guess it really doesn't matter I just had to get that off my chest.

Posted 13 years agoSo my boyfriend got me one of those large Monster energy drinks. Haven't had one in a long time. I am SO bored and extremely hyper. Last time I had one of these I laughed uncontrollably for 10 minutes and literally bounced all over my room. AAAAAAAaahhhahahaha!!! I shouldn't have this much caffeine and sugar, my brain is all over the place. Just wanted to say that my bf is a jerk for giving me this knowing full well what it does to me.

Posted 13 years agoSo I've been part of the fandom for about 5 months now and I love everything about it! The art, the fursuits, and especially the people. I've met some awesome furs.
I won't say I wasn't nervous at first. When my boyfriend first told me he was a furry, I was scared. I knew nothing about it except all the negatives. Then he showed me the art, videos, the suits and I just fell in love.
I will say though that I wasn't sure about the fursona thing. I am an extremely indecisive person. I chose a cat because my boyfriend had always called me his little kitty cat and all the cat girls I saw were cute. It never really felt right though, I didn't think it through and this is something that should be thought about.
So after thinking, a lot, and buying an adorable, fluffy tail at AC, I've decided that my fursona should be a Red Panda.
And to anyone that actually read this, I'll give you a cookie.
