LTBG and Need Help? I'm Listening
General | Posted 7 years agoAfter the President's latest attempt to deep throat his own wingtip,
I am officially opening my door to anyone LTBG who is lost, uncertain
and really needs a sympathetic ear. Because I'm struggling with my
own anxiety and depression problems, I might not be able to reply
right away, but this is one of those times when I can't just sit here and
do nothing.
Gun X Sword is Really Good
General | Posted 7 years agoI just finished watching episodes of the 2005 anime Gun X Sword of of
Funimation's Youtube channel. Fair warning, they only provide dubs for
the first three or so episodes, so it's easier to watch the subtitled version
from the start. That said, it's one heck of an Anime. Taking place almost
completely on the planet Endless Illusion, it's the story of Von, a
lazy, indifferent anti-hero, on a quest to track down The Claw Handed Man.
Oh, and Von just happens to be in possession of a kick-ass, space-based
transforming mecha named Dan.
The series has a definite Western theme, borderline steam-punk, if it weren't
for obvious signs that a much higher state of technology once existed, Von's
sword and Dan being the most obvious examples. Along the journey, Von
gains friends and allies, but part of what makes this show so much fun is that
none of them are really what you'd expect in traditional adventure-quest roles.
It also features one of the scariest villains I've seen, not because of the
amount of mayhem and death he creates, but because you can never be sure
if the face he presents to the world is a facade for a brutal and cunning mind,
or if he really is completely and utterly insane.
Finally, the instrumental opening is quite catchy, and the ending theme for
most of the series has a rather beautiful harmony to it, but don't try to
figure out the lyrics on your own. Trust me, the lead singer has the worst
English accent I've ever heard, making it very easy to wildly mishear what
he's singing.
Our Empress has Died
General | Posted 7 years agoThe Dowager Empress, Lady Elanor Razamataz, Queen Foosler,
Duchess Roobear, Taz to her servants, was put to sleep this morning.
She was 18. The vet and my family were 90% certain she had
esophageal cancer. Rather than spend huge amounts of money to
confirm it, we decided to it would be far more ethical to simply end
her life. Mom and my sister took it especially hard, as they were
very close to her. So much so, that my sister drove down from
Syracuse to be there at the end. She will be buried up on the hill,
next to Shawnee, Mittens, and Misty.
Neko Needs Help, and Hugs
General | Posted 7 years agoI found out about this via

:NekoTheInsaneCat: could use some serious help, because she's
in the kind of situation you wouldn't wish on anyone. The details
are here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8881733/
In a nutshell, her parents are getting divorced, and she can't cover
the expense of her monther's medical issues, all by herself. Most
of her money's used just to make ends meet.
No Political Ads On FA, Please!
General | Posted 7 years agoAn Open Journal To The FA Admins
I was really unhappy, when I visited FurAffinity this morning.
The ad banner that runs across the top of the screen was
displaying a Pro-Claudia Tenny political ad. My personal
political views aside, I'm already sick of that particular
Congressional race, and it's only August. It's the constant
negative tone I can't stand, as each side tries to accuse
the other of some kind of Faustian deal with the devil,
represented by the other party's political leader. I swear
if I have to put up with ads for it on Furaffinity too,
I'm gonna end up putting my fist through something,
sooner rather that later.
Signal Boost: SexyWolfie's Kitty Needs Help
General | Posted 7 years agoHi Everyone,
who lives in Venezuela, needs a lot of help. He's got a $3000 vet bill to pay, thanks to his beloved kitty
developing a near fatal urinary blockage. And since he's living
on that country's equivalent of minimum wage, there's no
way he can pay off that kind of debt in a reasonable time.
The original journal is here:

along with a way to donate to him. Thank you

for bringing this to my attention.
My Fursona's Evolving Sexuality
General | Posted 7 years agoHi Everyone,
Something my soulmate
suggested on Telegram, hasme examining my fursona Chris Mouse's sexuality again. If I run with
his idea, it means Chris was active far earlier than I thought. And this
would be the second time I've had to do that.
*Chuckles* When I first started writing stories involving my Chris and
's Jimmy Lee, Chris was pretty much an uninformed, college-age virgin. That was until Jimmy had to pull him out of Live
Drawing Class for an emergency blowjob. Then, a few years ago,
Kissu came to me, revealing that Chris and Jimmy had been making
out and pawing off together for at least a month before that.
Now, if Uniprae is right, Chris and Jimmy have been playing with each
other for most of the semester they took Life Drawing together. While
a lot of Jimmy's fans would agree that sounds far more like the lusty
mouserat, I still have to keep a delicate balance going, or the
heartwarming tale I've been working on for over ten years, will
degenerate into pure porn. And that's the last thing I want. Really, it's
too bad Roochak's basically disappeared from FA. Being Jimmy's
creator, he might have further insight on the whole thing.
Not Eager to Do That Again
General | Posted 7 years agoI had to be downtown in the urban core for a couple of hours
yesterday, during the hottest day of the year, with the heat
index over 100 F. Even though I brought an entire bottle of
Gatorade to drink, I'm pretty convinced now that I came
down with a mild case of heat stroke, anyway.
Needless to say, It's not an experience I'd ever like to
repeat. I actually had to call off talking to

over Telegram because I really did not feel good. In fact
I didn't start feeling within the same zip-code as normal
until several hours later, after supper.
Good Bye Lower Puna, Hawaii
General | Posted 7 years agoHi Everyone,
It's with a sad and heavy heart that I announce the Civil Beat
Lava Cam has gone off-line for good. As of aproximately 8:15,
the reporter and the family he was staying with, had to evacuate,
because part of the flow from the Geothermal Plant was headed
right for them. I actually heard one guy burst into tears as he
went out the door for the last time. And there's no shame in that.
So my thanks goes out to everyone involved, for staying as long
as you could, to give the world a local eye's view of paradise now
lost forever. I'll even miss Rusty, the Lava Rooster.
Good bye and good luck.
Not Good for Lower Puna, Hawaii
General | Posted 7 years agoHi Everyone,
Thanks to
I've been watching a live lava cam, broadcasting from Lower Puna, Hawaii for the past couple
of weeks. It was offline yesterday, and now I think I know why.
This morning, it's back up, and in the middle of the night, but
I can see a speckling of steady, orange-red glow, where there
shouldn't be at all. I'm afraid that when dawn breaks, it'll show
the lava's gotten a lot closer to the house they were using,
than the two-thousand yards or so, they started out with.

MiLayna1018 Critical Emergency
General | Posted 7 years agoHi Everyone,
My friend MiLayna just ran completely out of food, and she can't
afford anything till Friday. This is pretty much what I consider a
Class One Emergency. I can't do anything right now, I don't have
a job and most of the things on her list are just too expensive.
I don't often beg, but if there is any way you can possibly help
her, please do. Her journal, along with a link to her Amazon list,
is here:
https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8723513/
There's also been horrible news from
ex-wifeand fellow FA member
was just found dead. Needlessto say, they're both pretty shattered right now.
Signal Boost: Another Near Homless Furry Artist.

Signal Boost: These Furs are Loosing Their Houses!
General | Posted 7 years agoHi Everyone,
Normally, I try to avoid signal boosting people in dire straits, unless
I totally trust the person posting it. That's why when

put up a journal about a set of furs literally in danger of being thrown
out on the street, I felt I had to do something. Since I can't send money
myself, because I'm unemployed, but I can spread the word for them.

See You Out There, Mr. Hawking.
General | Posted 8 years agoIt is with real sorrow that I learned today of the passing
of world-famous Astrophysicist Steven Hawking. For a
funny, little man in a wheelchair with a mechanical voice,
he has left behind a legacy that will ensure he will
never be forgotten. Hope you're out there, playing
among the stars you loved, so much.
What's in a Memory?
General | Posted 8 years agoHi Everyone,
I just finished all five books in James Dashner's Maze Runner Series;
the original trilogy and both prequels. Overall, I prefer them much
better than the Hunger Games. Maze Runner at least pays lip service
to a higher ideal, and the sense that the near constant manipulation
the protagonist and the supporting characters ultimately did serve
some grand purpose. Even when that purpose was hijacked by
personal ambition.
But what the Maze Runner stories really brought back for me, is the
concept of memory, and how a person is shaped by them. Its been
an established part of Chris Mouse's backstory for years that much
like Thomas, Chris Mouse woke up one day, with no idea who he
was. The difference being my fursona was in intensive care in a
hospital at the time, after having been turned into a mouse-morph.
The thing I've never known, is if Chris' lack of memory was
accidental or deliberate. Memory loss, including partial or total
amnesia is a rare but known side-effect of the Human-to-Furry
Transition Retrovirus. On the other hand, Dave has hinted from
time to time that something went very wrong, in the days leading
up to Chris' Transition. In many ways, its the most fascinating
question in my entire character collection. Who was Chris, before
he was a mouse; and like Thomas feared, if he got his original
memories back, would it fundamentally change who Chris is, at
his very core?
Comming Soon to Cats & Cameras
General | Posted 8 years ago Hi everyone,
Well, I finally have some positive news to share with
you folks, and I really needed the boost. Months ago
paid for me to cameo in the on-line
comic, Cats & Cameras, since they fell in love with
His Retriver fursona Goldie. Well my name was finally
mentioned in this week's strip. While I would have died
to see myself done in their original art style, I won't
complain in the slightest to see me reunited with
with the one furry I can't live without.

Fun While It Lasted
General | Posted 8 years agoHi Everyone,
I did end up loosing my theater job, ironically,
part of the reason was because I didn't ask for
help when I should have, most of the time. The
good news is that while I will dearly miss the friends
I made, The Big Boss Lady was nice enough to let
me down gently, instead of handing me my ass.
So I've been feeling down, but otherwise, I'm okay.
If I Go Down in Flames...
General | Posted 8 years agoHi Everyone,
Just wanted to let my friends know that if I disappear
completely in the next couple of days, there's a
sad reason. Ironically, I find myself in the position
of fighting to keep the job I thought I'd never leave.
If the worst actually happens, the blow to my
self-esteem will be Death Star sized. I'll try and keep
a line open to
but otherwise I'll needsome time to curl up in a ball and cry for a while.
Happy Naked, Wet & Screaming Day
General | Posted 8 years agoHi Everyone,
No, not the weekend I spend at
*Laughter*Today is actually my birthday. It's hard to believe that when
I was born, music came on cassette tapes, computer games
were measured in megabytes, and the only way to talk to
someone in another country was by writing them a letter. True
we don't have flying cars, or colonies on the Moon, but we did
get the Internet, which no one ever predicted. Me, I think
it was a pretty fair trade, since it brought me

my on-line mate, and a lot of other friends I've treasured
over the years.
Picarto Problem, Can't View Stream
General | Posted 8 years agoHi Everyone,
A month ago or so, when Picarto did their last software
update, I started being unable to view the stream itself.
Oh, the chat window works just fine, but I keep getting
the actual drawing pane is blocked off with the following
error message:
"Media not supported: Either this browser is not supported
or additional software to play this stream is required."
I know my dad and I haven't installed any radical new
software, and
isn't having the problem.I did contact Picarto's support team, but I've been unable
to hop on Discord to chat with them, owing to having
vertigo for a week, and then a nasty virus I'm still
fighting. Anyone else run into this?
Merry Christmas Everyone!
General | Posted 8 years agoI just wanted to wish a Merry Christmas, to all my
friends and fellow artists on FurAffinity. May the joy
of the season bring warmth to your heart, and
peace to your spirit. And make sure to give the
special people in your life an extra hug. And the
best part is, you don't have to believe in Christ
to experience Christmas Magic for yourself.
So have a good one, everyone, and I'll see you
in 2018.
FA Member Hit in California Fire!
General | Posted 8 years ago I was hoping to leave my previous, thank you journal,
up for a few days, but I've just come across something
far more important, and deeply tragic. Fellow FA member
lived in Ventura County, and had to watch
as his home and most of his neighborhood burned to the
ground. You can find details here:

Right now, he's just glad everyone at his house, made it
out alive. The shock and the tears, will come later.

Thank You, All of You!
General | Posted 8 years agoHi Everyone,
Well, ever since I started uploading some old comms
that seriously deserved recognition, faves of my gallery
have exploded. While I've tried to thank as many of
you individually, as I can, don't take it personally if I
missed you. Between the growing list of people charged
with sexual misconduct, the President's continuing soap
opera, and the usual holiday demands to buy till you're
broke, my energy levels have been lackluster lately. But
trust me, every single fave has brightened my day
enormously.
Gallery Reconstruction
General | Posted 8 years agoHi Everyone,
I'm going to be expanding my gallery both uploading
new fan art of my characters, and changing the
descriptions on a few of the older ones.

and I have commissioned a ton of art over the years,
it's time some really great artists got their due. Plus,
I owe some of my chars, their chance in the limelight.
