so, to explain a little bit about my recent art dump to those who are curious of the characters,

ever since i was a little girl one of my dream jobs was to become a comic book creator. well...about 20 years ago i attempted to start one with a friend of mine. now, we're talking waaaaayyyy back when i was 15 years old....hormonal teenager with fantasies and lack of "experience" if you know what i mean... >_> anyway, the comic i made back then, featured the same characters but between then and now they have undergone a HUGE change. with the exception of their looks... lol

this story was called Queens of the Roost. now, when i first started this project, i was going to work with a friend on it, we were both budding artists and we were gonna take turns doing sections of the art and story, but one thing led to another, we got bored and busy and ultimately ended up going our separate ways. it happens. but i'm happy to still have her around to chat with off and on.

Originally, the character "Sue" was her creation. then gave me full access to use Sue as i saw fit while she moved on to other projects and discovering her self and her own talents.

Fast Forward about 20 years from that, and i was going through some old art and stumbled across these two characters, Liebea and Sue. and thought to myself.... "Why dont i give this another go..." now that I am an adult, matured and became more experienced with life, my plans originally were um...OBVIOUSLY not the direction i wanted to be remembered by... so i switched things up a bit, and played around with other characters to make the project hopefully more interesting. as well as appealing to several different audiences.

i messaged my friend and gave her a brief idea what i wanted to do with these characters, and she gave me her blessing to move forward with it. (she didnt really need to, as she gave me Sue to use however i wanted anyway, but i wanted to honor that and ask out of respect.)

My plan for this project is currently planned to be a monthly web comic release (do they even do web comics anymore?) but to do that i need to have at LEAST a year's worth of content to start it, but because i'm going solo on this project, i am learning just how HARD it is to do something like this by yourself. especially with being an adult with a LOT of responsibilities and priorities, not much freetime because of current commission projects and work in itself. so its going to take a little more time than i wanted it to... i dont have a designated release date yet, because i dont work well under deadline pressures. this way i can take my time to plan out the story, write it out, work on storyboards and then finally the comic it self to give it my best attempt.

If i could choose, maybe i can have some of it done by maybe fall of 2020... but thats only if i can get the time to work on all of it from now til then. i DO however can happily say i already have at least the first 12 chapters written out, side stories and a special inevitable story to insert into the series when i can get to it. and i have already started the story boarding for the first two chapters... so at least i have something to offer. in the mean time, i hope you enjoy the concept art and just fun pictures of these characters who will be featuring in my comic once i publically release it for everyone to see!

.....But i can't help but wonder if part of my lack of motivation to draw or do anything is not just because of my new job.....but that no one gives a fuck about my artwork anymore.......even the one person i look to the most about my art doesn't really seem to care for it anymore...

for example....every time i show a piece of new art, it's like they immediately look for and points out imperfections.... i can tell they are trying to give me constructive criticism..... but they don't really do it very well to me....and its just getting to the point where i don't like showing them or anyone my work anymore.....even things i put my heart into to draw just for them...

I'm starting to feel ashamed of my own artwork.... and my ability....

they don't even really tell me how good it looks.... they just kind of just say "...nice...." in a nonchalant way......


i don't think they truly realize just how much of an impact they have on my life or what i do...

I know they mean well...and they are just trying to help....I gueso I just haven't been taking criticism as well as I thought or used to......so I am not angry nor do I really blame them for the way I have been feeling...even though it sounds like it.....maybe I am just feeling extra sensitive...

I mean....its nice to have constructive criticism sometimes...but there are times i just want them and everyone else to see the piece i do as a whole....not the imperfections or just pointing to a few things on the picture.... as a whole...it feels like they and everyone else just Don't care about my art anymore....aside from them, however .. i don't get comments anymore.... rarely do i get any favs......or views for that matter.....

and it kinda hurts....because my art is a huge part of my soul.... i don't care if its imperfect or not.....i put what i feel in my work...

i dunno.... *sighs* maybe i should just hang up my pencil for good after these commissions are done..... not like anyone gives a damn anymore....

part of what kept me going on my art was not just something i liked to do but it used to be something very special and exciting for everyone to see..... i used to create such beautiful things... people loved to see....and wanted to see more of...but.....lately.... not just people online...or my commissioners.... but the people closest to my heart show absolutely no interest or care in my work or what i do anymore....it breaks my heart.

My artwork used to make me happy.....but now all it does it make me miserable....and more of a chore than a favorite past time....

I may have a late start with streaming tonight....reason why is because my work space is over loaded with furlandia stuff, i havent had a chance to put things away yet, but i still plan to stream!

so i think i have decided to give this stream committing thing a try, starting monday i shall start streaming around 8pm PST and try to keep on it as a M/W/F thing and see how it works out

i have been told by several people that if i actually set aside a scheduled Stream time and commit to it, that i might get more people to watch and follow me, so if i were to do this i am thinking 2-3 times a week, what days do you think would be best to do this?

no one ever comments on my stuff anymore...kinda sad and lonely.. o.o i like comments.....

YAY i have a new wireless adapter!!!!! hopefully that'll take care of all the drops i kept getting in my streams! only way to find out...is to do a stream....i might do one tomorrow and work on the digital pieces again, almost done with 2 of the 3!

it would be nice to get a couple commissions so that i may be able to do some christmas shopping for my son this year.

so, a couple weeks ago, my favorite drawing pencil of 18 years, finally broke and died on me...my dad gave me its Twin, and then i ended up loaning it out to someone and then never got it back...so i am without a pencil right now (ironic that there are no pencils in this house...) which means i can't finish my commissions til i find a new one...i hope i will find a replacement for it soon....
