Hey guys, been a while since I posted an update because, well, there’s not been much to update y’all on. Writing progress has improved some, since I started getting up earlier to write before work, but it’s still slow going, since I just don’t have a ton of time to write (and this novel is going to be pretty big at this rate...). Even though there won’t be any new writing for a while (though I do have some older stuff I might be able to polish up and post if there was interest), I’ll still be regularly posting my commissions to here. I am bound and determined to get (nearly) all of my commissions put up here someday! I still have tens, if not hundreds of commissions I’ve not posted, and it doesn’t help that I keep getting more in the interim, lol. Also, nearly to 200 watchers, which is quite surprising to me. I wasn’t expecting anyone to be interested enough in my writing/commissions to want to follow me, since I pretty much only have non-gay content on here, lol. I probably won’t do anything special for 200 watchers, but maybe when I reach 500 I might do some kind of writing giveaway (not sure just what yet, it’s still a long ways from there, lol).

I think that about sums it up. Not much to say about things going on in the real world, as things are pretty good for me despite everything going on in the world, so I’ll end it there. Thanks to everyone who watches and faves, and I’ll keep the new content coming.

Just posted the last chapter of 'I Dreamt of Wasps' today, marking the first time I've ever uploaded a completed novel to this site. I want to thank everyone who's taken the time to read my story and comment on it, it's always nice to know someone besides me enjoys my stories.

This, of course, means that new stories will be scarce for a while on this account. I am in the process of writing the first draft of the sequel to 'I Dreamt of Wasps', but the going is slow, and I can't see it being ready for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, I will still be continuing to post art I've gotten of Max and the menagerie of OCs I have every other day. I have a massive backlog of stuff I've not posted, so new art pieces will continue coming out for quite a while, even if I'm not posting any new stories.

Also, I just noticed that I broke 100 watchers on here, so thank you to all my new watchers, and I hope you continue to enjoy all the new content I post on this account!

Hey everyone, just posted a new story, first one in three months. It's hard to believe that much time has passed, but there it is. The reason I've been so quiet is because I'm still working on a far longer piece than anything I've posted to date (as of writing it's ~35k words, and likely to keep growing from there). I'm hoping that this incarnation of the draft will stick, and should that happen I'll finally be able to whip it into posting shape. I think when I do finish it, I might post it a chapter at a time, just so I don't seem so inactive here. What do you guys think?

Hey y'all, I hate to say this, but I'm not going to be uploading the last Max & Norah story. I've spent a lot of time thinking about this, and I feel that the whole Max & Norah stuff has been a gigantic failure. This last piece, to me at least, painfully shows how bad the other ones were. It deals with themes that I'm not prepared to tackle in the form of these stories, and I think the form itself has let me down. Their story was always an experimentation to begin with; I wanted to try and tell a story in a more serial short story format as opposed to a more cohesive long-form story. But I feel it's time to call this experiment a failure and move on.

Now with that said, I want to at some point in the future give them a better story. There was so many cool ideas that I never got to explore with them because of my poor choices in telling their story. However, I can't say when any story might take form. I've got another project on my plate that is significantly larger than anything I've posted here so far, and it's going to take me a while to get it into shape. Though there might be a few small things between Max and Norah before then... =)

Either way, I haven't deleted the old Max & Norah stories, but I have moved them into scraps. Thank you all for hanging around while I try to find my way in writing. =)

Hello again, I'm pretty happy to report that I finally got the first draft done of the last Max & Norah story. I left it for a while because I felt so angry that it had turned out so poorly, but tonight I was able to sit down and pump out the last bits needed to complete it. It still isn't good in my opinion, but I am determined to at least finish it. Hopefully I can give it some minimal editing and have the final version out this week (though that depends on how industrious I end up being). Maybe with this cleared off, I can start really digging in to my next project, which I've already started drafting. Progress is slow on anything that's "new", so I have little to report there.

Otherwise, life's been pretty quiet for me. I've been plowing through some Asimov and Pratchett novels, and both are brilliant writers (even if they're both flawed in some way). Maybe that's a comfort to know even the 'best' have problems.

Hey there, been a few weeks since I've last posted here. If you're not aware, I just posted another piece in Max & Norah's ongoing series (you can read it here). Now that we're approaching the conclusion of this particular storyline, I'm beginning to feel a general sense that I'm not happy at all with how it's turned out. It originally started out as an experiment in telling the story over a series of interconnected stories, but this far into it I've come to the realization that despite my efforts, these 'entries' in the overall story are closer to chapters in a book than independent stories set in the same universe with the same characters.

And that's not so good.

The problem is, I've, in essence, posted work that I feel is incomplete, work that is not my best. Work that can't be the best because I can't really go back and fix stuff. I don't want to retroactively reupload with news versions of the same story, but since it's already posted I don't know that I want to take the time to make a revised compilation of all of them. I've got other stories that I want to tell, both with Max and Norah and with new characters in a new world. Maybe y'all haven't been bothered too much by it, maybe you have. I'd be curious to hear y'all's input, but at this point I'm seriously leaning towards leaving these stories as they are and just chalking up my (perceived, at least) failure up to an amateur writer still finding his way.

With all that said, I will be finishing their initial story, even if I'm not happy with how it's turning out. There's one more to go, and then I've exhausted everything I have outlined for the two of them. Even then though, I doubt that will be the last story y'all will see of them. I've got a couple other properly standalone ideas to use them for. I've yet to give pseudo-dimensions a proper exploration. =)

On a separate note, how do y'all feel about me uploading images alongside my writing? I've commissioned scenes from some of my stories (especially the more cough saucy cough pieces). Would y'all be interested in seeing that? Or do you really just want to see my writing only?

Hey everyone, how's life treating y'all? I'm sure that you might've noticed, but I actually got a continuation on Norah's story done! Hurray! For the first time, I'm beginning to think that I can actually finish this line of stories. I only have two more entries outlined in this line of stories before I'll get to start work on something else. Of course, even when I get this 'origin' story done, that won't be the last y'all will see of Max and Norah. I've got some other one-off stories knocking around in my head for them. ;)

On a different note, do y'all have any recommendations for a good fantasy book/series? Been a while since I've read a good one and I gotta keep my fantasy skills sharp. =D

Hello? Is anyone still around after my apparent hiatus? I suppose after a few months of complete silence I ought to say at least something here. Writing has been incredibly difficult for me for quite some time (which I suppose is evident from the lack of published work). Part of my problem is I've gotten out of the habit of writing daily thanks to an apparent lack of time in the evenings. I know that statement is ultimately foolish, that I could (and rightly should) carve out time to write, and if I did I might actually be able to get a piece written. The other part is just me getting over my complete and utter fear of failure to put words down on the page, even if I know that they aren't the right ones and will need to be rewritten later. I gotta find a spot in the corner of my closet to lock away that little detail devil, at least until I need him again for editing. ^^

I'll get through this. I have in the past and I can do it again. If you've read this far, let me know about any good books you've read recently!

Hey everyone, just posting an update on where I'm at. I have not forgotten Max & Norah's story, as much as my silence might seem like it. I've been grappling with the alluring idea that I don't have to outline to write a good story. I've always done all my schoolwork writing without one, why should I need one for my creative writing?

Turns out I'm full of crap.

The last couple months have been defined by me writing a piece, thinking it's amazing, then going to the starting on the next one and getting lost. There's just too much that I have to have to have in my head to make any kind of meaningful story. Yesterday I caved, and started an outline. Nothing too detailed, nothing crazy, just the barest bones of a story. Suddenly the path to the next story is clearer, the problems to surmount smaller. It seems so much more manageable now. It's like I can just write, and not worry about the impact of plot elements on future stories, because I already know what needs to happen next. The outline's not done yet, but I'm hoping that it won't take long to get something workable to start really writing again. I can't promise any timeframe, but I want to get it out for you all as soon as I can.

Wooo! So happy that I finally managed to complete a piece that I thought was worth uploading. I'm so excited to show you guys where Max and Norah's road travels. I'm still drafting the next parts of their story, so it may be a few weeks before the next piece is completed. I also will probably be uploading their refs at some point in the future, though I'm trying to figure out how to best watermark them without having a massive (and ugly) watermark. If any of y'all have any ideas on how to best approach that, please let me know! I just don't want people to steal my characters, because any that I use in my story are near and dear to me (especially Max, my sona).

Hey there, been a while since I've said anything on here. I've realized it's been even longer since I've actually posted anything, though I've been hard at work writing, scrapping, writing again. I ended up falling out of love with the story I'd last promised to post, and thus threw away what I had written for them. Maybe someday I'll post what I had to scraps. In the meantime, I'm working on what I hope to be a series of stories like the last one, except that I'm striving to be much looser with this line of stories, not feeling like I have to know the entire plot in advance. I'm hoping that it will keep me from getting discouraged without hugely impacting writing quality. We'll just have to wait and see. I've got the first piece written and am now editing it, which I suspect will take some time given how much editing will be required to get it up to my standards for posting.

All that to say, I know I haven't put anything up in a long time, but I am making progress. I started a goal of writing 500 words every day a couple weeks ago and have been largely successful. Rest assured, I have not given up writing and am just in a spot where I'm trying to find my way again.

I've been putting a lot of thought into these first pieces, because they will be the starting point for what I hope to be a long running series of stories. Just so y'all know where I'm at, I've got the first story drafted and the second one nearly drafted. I can't say now how much longer it'll be before I post the first piece, simply because I still have a few details I've gotta sort out before I can commit to posting the piece and declaring it 'cannon'. I'd rather not have to retroactively change pieces if I can avoid it (and I think I can).

Hey all, I know I've been kinda quiet around here for a bit. I've been taking my time to make sure that Maxwell's story gets off to a good start. I'm currently working on an introduction piece that will set up the beginnings of a series of stories all related to an important time period in Maxwell's life. I have several stories in this series in mind, and once I get the introduction out we'll see what happens from there. I'm still set on bringing Shiori into cannon, though she will be an entirely different character than she was in Just Blowing Off Steam

In other news, I've got a job! Unfortunately, that means I'll have less time to work on stories, though if I'm frank there probably won't be much difference in story output. It'll be easier for me to discipline myself into writing once I have the structure a job provides and I'll probably get more writing done overall (though that remains to be seen!)

Anyways, I hope to get Maxwell's introductory piece uploaded before too much longer, so be on the lookout for that!

I've been doing some thinking about Max as a character. Up until now, I've been super loose with him, just throwing him in to whatever story hits my fancy since I consider him a sona. But I'm beginning to think that it would be better to begin to establish a 'cannon' with Max, putting all the stories I write with him in a single universe. That way I can give him a consistent background, and hopefully more consistent and interesting character. I have a very interesting background for Max in mind which would still allow him to participate in my flights of fancy (read: NSFW stuff).

With that in mind, I'm probably going to revise 'Just Blowing Off Steam' to make it the first story in this new cannon, mainly because it's the first in a series of stories. I don't intend to delete the old one, and the rewrite will mainly be changing the setting. Other stories with him will probably just remain non-canonical.

Be on the lookout for the revised version, and for sequels. I have at least three sequel stories in mind and I keep finding more stories to tell somehow =3.

Hey folks, just wanted to pause for a moment and give you an idea about what's going on with me. At this point, I'm currently looking for a job. Don't worry, I'm not in any danger of being homeless right now, thanks to my wonderful parents. What it does mean is that I have a lot more time on my hands than I have in the past, so there's a good chance that I'll upload faster than my usual 1 story per month rate for the forseeable future. I plan to put another saucy story up here in a little bit, so be on the lookout for that!

Ok all, I uploaded a new piece today. Been a while since my last one, I'm hoping this is the beginning of more regular uploads. It's also the first NSFW piece I've ever uploaded, so we'll see how it fares.
