For some reason there is now lacking a gender category both in the browse options and on submissions themselves. I would assume it's a bug, as there was a thing that happened before where they swapped out herms for intersex and folks didn't like that so they included both, but if it's a bug it's a specific one to happen.

I've also been reposting stuff to e621 and FurryNetwork for archival purposes, though at least in the case of the former not everything's stuck given their strict quality standards (ex: If something's too small or the original traditional pic was scanned poorly, or even if it was just "drawn bad", it gets the axe. Have had a few sequences get only parts of themselves on there due to some being fine and others not. Quite dumb. Also on the topic, don't trust an artist's stuff will just be saved there should they poof. Not only for the reasons I described, but also because folks only bother to post a fraction of the stuff artists do. So either do it yourself, or save things locally, 'cause you never know.)

I didn't know much about the guy beyond his title. Heard remarks from time to time, typically in a negative light. Still, you can't say he did a bad job, seeing how long this place has been going and how much good it's brought the fandom. Heck knows where I would be or who I'd have met without it. Even folks I didn't meet directly here, where I was linked to a Skype group which led to a Discord group where I ended up meeting them, they wouldn't be there themselves without this place to find their footing about all those furry feelings.

Itaku is probably the best art site I've seen as far as features goes.

Want a feed to scroll through? It's got that. Want a gallery? It's got that too.

Want reblogs to help discover other stuff? It's even got that.

Plus a blacklist, as well as a more unified tag system a-la e621 and similar so you don't have to worry about putting in "rabbit bunny lapine" to catch whatever someone might be typing. It even has tag sets for easier posting a-la PostyBirb so if you draw similar subjects it's just a few clicks rather than typing out the same stuff every time.

It's not a perfect site of course, but as far as what's on the market and what's gotten a little traction, I'd rank it well above Twitter or Bluesky.

It's really weird that they'd decide to do that. Downscaling, sure, but upscaling?

But it sucks 'cause it means that artists' works end up at a lower quality than they otherwise would be because of it.

And everyone's jumping there off of Twitter. Not that I blame folks for leaving Twitter, not one bit, but it sucks that now their stuff is only going to be available at a worse quality. More Patreon incentive I suppose.

Also on the topic, it sucks Twitter's algorithm makes folks link their blusky account via image 'cause it makes such notices impossible to search for.

A unique number and one I thought I'd never reach! I'm thankful for each one of you. Though I know most of the art isn't mine, I'm glad folks are interested in seeing what I colour next! As well as to see more of Rosa of course~

After someone made a tweet about replacing Rouge with Amy for a Sonic Adventure 2 cutscene, the official Sonic twitter retweeted it and led to a recent trend of drawing Amy in Rouge's outfit.

I'm personally personally enjoying it. More Sonic gal art is always nice to see, and the outfit coaxes people to draw her more filled out, well, sometimes. Besides, Rouge's spy suit is inherently sexy!

But!

A number of people seem annoyed at this trend for some reason. I know for a fact that over-saturation of things you're not that into can make you dislike a thing, even come to hate it*, but this thing's not even the most prevalent trend there's been. Remember Bowsette? Or all those virgin-killer sweater pics? There were like a million of those. But Amy Rouge pics are only really drawn by artists that already do Sonic stuff on occasion, and even then they'll just do the one. Yet people feel the need to take some kind of stand and insist on drawing a different gal in the suit. Which is fine, more Sonic gal art! But it still feels hipstery.


So what are your feelings on the recent trend? If you're annoyed by it, why is that?


*(Like can we draw Rouge fucking someone other than Tails? Or other Sonic guys getting action in general? At least have him fucking Wave! It's canon!)

It's for the phone game Sonic Forces: Speed Battle. It's not the best game ever, but I for one am excited to see her getting attention, and a sexy new outfit to boot!

Not that I've run into any issues yet, just that, unless it's a surprise birthday gift or something, I'd rather Rosa, or any of my other characters, not be drawn without letting me know first, since I'd prefer her to be presented in something I approve of. Namely, at least at the moment, I'd like her not to be shown being impregnated until I have a drawing of my fursona being the first to do the honors.

I'm pretty open in terms of kinks though, so don't worry about me being eager to shoot down your idea. Just, y'know, I wouldn't want her to not be properly fat or busty or drawn without her curl etc.

Assuming anyone ever considered getting a pic with her, which is a pretty bold assumption. Still, just wanted to make sure this was known.
