After seeing the Bad Guys Maraschino short, it gave me more clarity on why I don't like Diane (aside from her being a symbol of perfection).
In the short, the gang's chemistry was excellent. So, how can Diane fit into it? She can't go around causing mischief out in the open with them because she's the mayor. Plus, with her being the whole gang as The Crimson Paw, and having no flaws, her only options are to be the voice of reason, and backup character for dire situations.

Other than being a love interest for Mr. Wolf, she's a very limited and situational character in my opinion.

This animation I have been working on for well over a month is almost complete. I am expecting to get it ready to upload by February 27. To get a better understanding on what I am putting in the animation, I am adding music, background, and coloring to it. The animation isn't very long, nor professional, as this was my true first attempt at using the software called DigiCell FlipBook. Plus, I only got the basic that only allows 300 frames, which under 24fps (frames per second) is about 12.5 seconds long. Also, just a little info regarding the software, it is constructed to imitate animation that was traditionally done in the past.

I also want to point out that the theme is dark and a bit risky (I am using one of my characters in it), as opposed to the backgrounds that I displayed in my Tumblr account.

I finally graduated from college in December (major in Interactive Media). With that, I now have time to work on some art. I went through my collection, and their are about 8 pieces that I will be uploading and or color. In addition, I will also be working on an animation project to further test my abilities with animation and the software. I am not sure when it will be ready since I am taking time to put effort in the coloring and shading of the backgrounds I want to use in addition to the animation.

I think it is time for me to do more female drawing. My reason for having a block on females is that I prefer the male body, and I am just going to have to get over that.
I did struggle today to make a "decent" rough sketch pose for a female. I did buy a female model sculpture today, and while it didn't help completely, it did help me with the breasts as I struggle with them to the point where they end up either too inflated or oddly shaped. XP

I actually was able to write down plot for my characters which is very rare. Probably because my mind is constantly changing from one subject to the next, though it's a safe bet that I need to be in a quiet environment for my mind to concentrate, as that is how I was able to write a good amount of stuff down last night.

Also, I have been thinking of opening a Tumblr account, but I am still debating on it...

Hey, I am still here. Classes have been taking up a lot of my time, and I don't get enough time to do sketching for myself. It also didn't help that the last two weeks were a major kill for my mentality. Feeling better, though.

I've been working on sketches, trying to find a comfort in how I want to draw my characters. Been experimenting on how to do the heads mostly. Also, I want to apologize for not being very active for the past couple of months. All I have been doing here recently is lurking about in addition to a lack of motivation...

Hey, I want to let you know that I have taken a hiatus on drawing. The reason being is that I am focusing on writing the bios for my main characters. I've got two of them finished, and the third one is about a quarter of the way done. This is difficult, as I've been trying to clear my mind while writing them. Also, there have been several points that I end up hitting a brick wall, and need to stop and think about how to go about a specific route for my characters. Basically, it's been a stop and go process.

The number of main characters is five. The one I am most concerned about is my central character. The two bios I finished are about two to three pages, but based upon the ideas I have for my central character, the amount of pages is unknown as it hasn't even been started yet. :/

Once these are done, I'll be back to drawing. Hopefully, these bios will help inspire me to draw more of my characters.
