I'm so tired of living in households where people are abusive to each other.

So a couple days ago, some of you might remember, Khana got outside. She came back and everything seemed normal till the next morning when her face was swollen up like a chipmunk's. I rushed her to the vet and she's fine now, just taking amoxicillin to reduce swelling cuz she apparently got hurt in the face somehow.

Grandfather got taken out by ambulance today. I don't wanna say there might be an onset of the "A" disease, but I... I dunno. :C

I think I forgot my cough syrup in the grandmother's van and she's off to visit Pepe in the hospital. Idk how long she'll be gone, but I'm guaranteed no sleep till she gets back and I get those meds. I thought I was doing better. I had stopped coughing so hard I threw up, but then it started again tonight, and I'm just not feeling good.

I tried to cook dinner and it came out completely inedible. I just... it wasn't possible for any reasonable human to stomach the taste. I ended up throwing it all out. Which wouldn't usually bother me, but... ungh.

Today's been a long, obnoxious, stupid day, and you know how they say 'When it rains, it pours'? Yeah. It's pouring, alright :/ I can't seem to find a fucking break. Just when I'm done stressing about one thing, another crops up. I can only imagine that I'll have this sinus infection for another 6 months at this rate.

Then normally I don't post cuz I don't wanna sound smug or like I'm self-advertising.

I have a sinus infection that's pretty much wracking through all of the major 'sickness' areas, gaining me a sinus headache, an infection, nausea, a sore throat, and of course the regular sinus shit.

Also Bank of America apparently sold some branches, and now that means I HAVE to switch to fucking Camden, which means I somehow need to get in contact with the people handling my loan repayments to switch it(totally should be MY job, since the fucking BANKS are forcing me to switch when I don't want to) I'm going to get a new PIN and new card and they won't be carrying over "Keep the Change", which was super helpful in a pinch, so I'm fucking losing that benefit as well, all without getting a choice about it. It's fucking bullshit and I'm in no fucking mood to deal with it.

I want to trade with someone I haven't traded with before, and someone who is around my level of skill. Depending on who it is and what you want from me, I'm willing to do pretty much anything from a sketch to a fullcolored drawing. Thigh-up, maybe with a background of some sort, idk. We'll see what people are willing to offer and who wants to trade ;P

So apparently WoW us doing a giant download and has my computer as it's captive(aka evrything keeps freezing). I'm really computer retarded though, and can't figure out a way to make it not basically take over my computer and I want this thing downloaded cuz $15 per month and I'm not paying to stare at my screen and get pissed at a download that makes my computers functions cease.

Or any original species. For my completed work of the week this week, I want to design a critter.

I prefer visual references, or at least one visual example, but if the description is short and interesting enough, I might be inclined to try it.

The only stipulation is that it must be YOUR design, or at least a species design you have the right to(though I prefer your own). And then I will create one. This design will not be sold, but may be given away, so keep that in mind. Also, keep in mind that the only thing you should expect in return is art by me of your original species and a link to you in the description, of course. Anything else is purely up to my discretion.

I prefer nothing that is a simple hybrid. 'Simple' meaning _____ with wings, a taur version of _____, or like two species mixed unless they are mixed in an interesting way. I prefer freedom with colors as well, but that doesn't mean they must come in ALL colors.

So! All you need to do is show me whatchu GOT.

That one-picture-a-day thing that I'm certain I missed at least once and that nobody probably knew/remembered anyway... I just.. I can't do it anymore.

I gotta get work art done, and my muse isn't having it, and I've kind of been a fucking trainwreck lately, even compared to my normal self. I'm about a billion times more irritable than usual, I'm constantly in pain so bad that I- who never takes pills EVER- I have been forced to basically supplement my diet with pain pills just to keep me able to use my legs. I haven't made ANY fucking headway on getting the $400 car repair, my bills are piling up and I'm having insomnia.

Any way you slice it, art just... isn't even on my radar of priorities right now. And to top it off, I have one outstanding commission that I just DON'T THINK I am capable of at the skill level that I am at. I really wanted to when I accepted it, to challenge myself, but right now it's just a challenge to get out of bed.

So I'm going all hiatus-ey and shit. I only talk to three people online anyway on a regular basis, and I've got their AIM, so they'll still see me, but idk. I'll be here to comment and stuff, but yeah. Done with this for now.

Upon my return, I think I'll set a different goal. Rather than uploading one of ANYTHING, EVERY DAY, I think I will strive to upload one completed work(read:full-colored with back grounds and shit) every WEEK. The day will be... let's say Fridays. I'll upload a completed work every Friday, not counting this coming one. There my or may not be sketches or other things in-between, but yeah. And then maybe once I'm done being so FUCKING STRESSED, I can complete my long list of owed work. v.v

Well, it isn't technically 'news', but I think it deserves some saying XD

First, for something that happened today. I came in to work at 6am, and two of my coworkers had a regular customer at the front counter, and we're a kinda friendly bunch, so I just figure they're chattin with the guy, then when I come in they all look over at me and yell "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

Well, first, it is... not my birthday yet lol. My birthday is on the ninth, but they legitimately thought it was my birthday and felt sorta silly when I told them that it wasn't my birthday yet, but I thanked them regardless because that is SWEET of them. Seriously, Forest and Megan are my favorite coworkers ALREADY, and they just got better for that XD

Later on in the day, my boss came in and she had a cake for me and Megan(because Megan is going away for school soon) and she told me Happy Birthday too, which confused me more, but again, Thank you, lol. The cake had 'Good Luck at College, Megan' on one half, and "Happy Bday, Sam" on the other, and my boss said that she was going to put Sam/James on it, but ran out of room.

And it just... made me so happy, you guys, you do not even know. Because of some strangeness way back when, they started calling me 'James'(my male name is still Vincent, but as far as they know, it is James lol) whenever they remembered. A lot of the time, it's joking, but they know I'm trans*. And it just. Happy. >.< I just emotions and do not know how to deal with, because I never expected that I could be 'out' without you know... passing as a man. And I DEFINITELY never thought that I could do so in the workplace and not suddenly lose my job or starting to be treated like something less than human.

Anyway, I got invited out to a party tonight by Forest, and so Imma go get my shoes on and hit the road. Just thought that you people should know about this stuff, and know that things are improving, I think. They're gonna have to be big, ok. :I Needles are not QUITE as easy to wield as say, pencils or tablet pens.

A good idea would probably be that if you wanna draw a tattoo for yourself, sketch it up IRL, then ink it with let's say... a 3 or a 5 sized micron pen. that would give you a really good idea or how big something would have to be in order to get the detail you'd like! :>

I just see so many 'tattoo designs' that people think will be the size of a half dollar and they're like, fullcolored, shaded art pieces(WARNING: that was a slight exaggeration). My really simple snakey sillhouette is the size of a half dollar, and that was about as small as I could go and still be able to make out what it is.

I am curious, because as most of you may know(hopefully?), I am transgendered. I actually have a lot of trouble with it, because my expression is not particularly masculine, but... I don't exactly feel a need to be masculine in order to be 'a man'.

In any case, there is an art show sort of thing coming up, and I'm trying to come up with something to do for it, and I have some ideas, but I really need some help. I'm trying to find ancient symbols or some old Pagan gods that are not of the gender norm. Now, I don't necessarily mean someone like Zeus, who is known to shapeshift into men, women, and animals, I mean something more like... I don't know, gods that aren't seen as male or female(but still have a form), or gods who are seen just as often as male or female, or stories of old about people who are transgendered or otherwise genderqueer.

I want to do a watercolor for the show, but I want it to be 'REAL' art. And for me 'real' art means that it has personal meaning and makes a statement. That is only a self-imposed rule, btw, I find plenty of 'real' art that isn't that way and it doesn't have to be, but if it is MY art, that is what I prefer to show to the professional community, if that makes sense? ANYWAY, no discussion on the nature of 'real' art, please, I really just need help with theology and the sort.

After much deliberation... I've decided to stop doing tier commissions.

You know, the 'pay this much for a sketch, this much for colored, etc.'

People like to underestimate how much goes into my art, and I feel I'm either charging FAR too much(like for sketches), or FAR too little(like for fully colored work). The price discrepency really throws me off. My sketches should not cost nearly half of what my colored ones do, and my fully colored ones are definitely more than three times the work of my sketches.

I am still working on older trades and commissions(because I am slow as cold molasses until I actually start something), but I think everyone should know. I will now be charging just $10 per hour spent on art. Other artists do the same things, and I'll have similar policies.

-Fixes don't count toward the time
-After the first hour, I will show you the art, and you have the opportunity to request changes before I go for the rest of the alloted time(this will be changed later if I find that sketches generally take me less than an hour)
-Upon completion, you will be given another chance to request changes.
-You get two changes for both stages, and if you have any more fixes after those four, you will be paying $10 per change, regardless of time taken on them.
-Prices don't change if it is fullbody/bust/etc, though if it's a bust or headshot and I complete it before time is up, you will be refunded for the hours not used

With things this way, I feel like it will open more opportunities for people with less money to at least get sketches from me, and it will also allow for me to get paid something closer to what I'll need for living and stuff. For anyone whose had an offer for something of a lower price, that offer still stands, but for future purchases, this will be it.

AIM lately.

Uhm. Really in the past few years or so, but it's been really concentrated in the past few months...

I've been getting panic attacks a lot using AIM. So if I'm online, and I don't talk to you, yeah. It isn't personal, but I can't do it. I just can't. AIM should NOT be stressful, but it really has been lately.

I am greatly considering switching to my other AIM account that I have but have never used. Because my AIM now is from years ago, and has people on it from forever ago, including IRL friends that I don't talk to anymore, old roleplay buddies that I've stopped playing with for various reasons, and then the like, five people I actually talk to.

I will give you the new AIM if you are one of those people and if you FUCKING PROMISE ME THAT YOU'LL READ MY GODDAMN STATUS BEFORE TALKING TO ME. Sometimes it's stupid and silly, but often, they include important information about my mood, what's going on, and whether I want to roleplay or not.

I'm going to be keeping Surprise Mavu for commissions/business/people I don't know and want to talk to, but other than that, I just can't... I dunno. I hate having to be on invisible just because I only want to talk to one person and I don't want to be a rude asshole. It has nothing to do with disliking anyone or being angry, and everything to do with my panic attacks that cause me to sign off early and simply talk to no one.
