SALE SALE SALE SALE
Posted 15 years agoYou may or not have seen this.
Yes, that's ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN doujinshi up there. The pile measured over twenty inches high, and was so heavy that the bottom three books were pressed into the carpet down to the hardwood. 111! It took me hours to go through it all!
But go through it I did, and turned out with some to sell. All 11 are up on ebay.
Along with the doujinshi, I have forty-two yaoi manga, some yaoi novels, and forty-two Star Wars books up in lots that average about $1 a book. How can you pass that up!?
List of items:
Gag and soft Yaoi doujinshi from:
Death Note
Gundam Wing
Harry Potter
Saiyuki
Trigun
Yu-Gi-OH! Actually, one of those is very hard yaoi with uke Kaiba!
Manga Lots of Six:
A: Rin, Sweet Revolution, Time Lage, and Same-Cell Organism
B: Passion, Seven, Stolen Heart, Wagamama Kitchen, You & Harujion
C: Ordinary Crush, Our Everlasting, Our Kingdom, Only the Ring Finger Knows, Prince Charming
D: La Esperanca, La Vie En Rose, Love Bus Stop, Loveholic, Melted Love
E: Antique Bakery, Almost Crying, Alone in my King's Harem, The Art of Loving
F: Beyond My Touch, Cafe Kichijouji, Clan of the Nakagamis, Constellations in my Palm, Dear Myself, Desire
G: Fake Fur, Flower of Life, Freefall Romance, Il Gato Sul G, Invisible Love, Kissing
(That's a lot of boy lovin'!)
Aaaaaaaaaaaand a small portion of my Star Wars books have been listed, mostly YA or Kid's series (in chronological order):
Jedi Quest (4 books)
Prophets of the Darkside (6 books)
Junior Jedi Knights (6 books)
Young Jedi Knights (14 books)
New Jedi Order (12 books)
And some random Vampire Academy something that I haven't even opened.

FINALS WEEK: YOU CAN SLEEP WHEN YOU'RE DEAD
Posted 16 years agoOr when you pass out from sheer exhaustion, whichever comes first. Amusingly, I had a dream about the Undying Lands last night (this morning?). All I remember are thousands of Elves, a handful of Hobbitses, and one game old dwarf. BAD BRAIN, ZIA. BAD BRAIN. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED THE LotR LONGING UNTIL AFTER FINALS ARE OVER. No, it's entirely your fault for not thinking of writing a paper on the films for Adaptation class until now, you idiot. You're stuck showing stilted, almost-softcore to your classmates on Thursday. You love it, you know. Er.../self-discussion?
Speaking of hellaciousness, here's the answer to the question of "Two modern sins (or crimes) for Dante's Inferno. In which circle would you put the sin/crime, or would you create a new circle for it? What is the punishment?" to the best of my remembrance:
"Mores have grown and changed in the centuries since Dante Aligerhi’s time. For one, homosexuals (in a civilized and loving modern world view) are not committing crimes against God or nature, and that circle should be yanked out of existence. Let them be judged for their actual sins, NOT for being as they were made.
Anyway, new/modern sins:
A modern sin deserving of its own circle is the Twilight fandom. Just the Twilight fandom in general. But for our purposes, it fits nicely into the Sixth Circle: Heresy. (I always thought the 6th Circle needed a little fleshing out.) Twilight is heresy against the written word and literature in general. As it is not God’s Word, but just man’s Art, they don’t fall into lower circles. They do, however, comprise their own round of the sixth circle, where they will tear eachother apart for eternity. Any other horrible writers, desecraters of written myth, composers of horrendous poppy songs and/or Christian rock who do not improve in life and have not committed the greater crimes of the 7th-9th circles are also thrown into the Round of Twilight, where they will be forced to endure the pained and enraged screams of the Fangirls.
Another addition to Hell, is its Highways, which will no longer be paved with good intentions, but frozen slabs comprised of compacted door-to-door salesmen, telemarketers, tele-evangelists, the narrators for infomercials, and the guys who program pop-up advertisements and spam emails. The littlest demons will skate on these in the warmer months. This is a limited time offer, of course. They’ll thaw out after 300 years, at which time they will be led to their other punishments, or fobbed off to Purgatory where they will work menial retail jobs to earn their place in Heaven."
My professor laughed, so I guess I'm good. I made up the answers to the rest of the test anyway, based on what I remembered of the works from when I was ten. (I have harder tests/presentations/final essays to study for.) I cannot for the life of me remember where the line "Contrary to popular belief, the Road to Hell is not paved with good intentions, but with frozen door-to-door salesmen. The younger demons like to skate on them in the winter." is from. I think I read it in a footnote somewhere, but I don't think it was in the most likely candidates proper (Good Omens or HHG2G), but rather one of their fanfics...

Chain Reaction
Posted 16 years agoYanno, being immersed in fandom tends to feed on itself. I mean, my entire flist (it felt like) was squeeing over Merlin all summer (thank you NBC!), and reading Spencer's The Faerie Queen first thing in my Ren Lit class was the tipping point for my curiosity. That was September. It is now the better part through November, and my own squee is not only still going strong...its started up a chain reaction into all my other fandoms...and then some!
List of things I want to [re]read/[re]watch thanks to Merlin and its awesome fanbase (in no particular order) is as follows:
Supernatural
Dr. Who
Stargate: Atlantis
Lord of the Rings
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Good Omens
Harry Potter
Star Wars
Star Trek (this is one of those re-feeder things, as I came across a lot of Merlin!squee through nuTrek!squee)
Smallville
Dresden Files
Buffy
Tin Man
Tenth Kingdom
Hetalia
&
(god help me) RPS
Classes I have failed due to this strange phenomenon? None YET.
I am bribing myself to get through homework tomorrow (my one free day a week) and during Thanksgiving "break" (yeah, riiiiight): Finish first draft for Film Adaptation = finish last three of available Merlin episodes. Every two backlogged response papers for Media Audiences (there are...ten *shameface*) = one HHG2G book. Article reviews for Ren Lit and last analysis paper for Adaptation = Two break periods of Tin Man with Izzy and whoever else from the Round Table who wants to join. Extra credit assignment for Documentaries = First edition Killing Time. Passing the semester = Bradley James moodtheme. LoTR is going to wait until winter break I'm afraid. Or at least until I'm caught up with everything. I'll probably break before then.
(Really this was just an excuse to knock my hypochondria off my front page. Also, The Queen Symphony http://www.imeem.com/artists/the_ro.....ymphony-album/ is all kinds of awesome. That is all. )

I wish the real world would just stop hasslin' me
Posted 16 years agoI never thought I'd say this, but I prefer the Kubrick version of "Lolita" to the Lyne one.
Completely blew off my classes for the past week (Well, except the ones that were mandatory attendance) in favor of being sick and sleeping in one of my friend's dorm rooms until I had to go to work. I am now further behind than I was. Thing #34578 to do after semester is over and I have more than 33 hours a week to exist: Go to a competent doctor and ask about what to do with intermittent abdominal and back pain, dizzy spells, joint pain, dysgraphia, pinched nerves, random zoning, repeated migraines, vertigo, destroyed balance and coordination at intermittent moments, fading hearing, blurring vision, desensitized fingers, dramatically decreased appetite, insomnia, stress, exhaustion, and apathetic muses.
Oh, and (tangentially related, but not to this incident) since I know it will crop up again, how about figuring out if I have endometriosis like my mom and get me some damn good drugs to manage (since the good doctors of America seem to think that I'll change my mind about wanting babies or some such fool thing)? And the diabetes just in case? And cholesterol, just 'cause? And will someone please give me the results of my blood test from September? I only didn't eat for twelve hours, then passed out afterwards, thanks.
If I ever win the lottery? I am paying to have them rip out my ovaries with the first check. If they're viable, they are welcome to use my eggs FOR SCIENCE! Stem cell research, cloning, infertility clinics, I don't care. My second check will probably go toward bribing Rider into letting me back in after I fail this semester spectacularly.
OH DAMNIT I'M SORRY.
This post was really gonna be about films and doll clothes and cookies and Merlin!fic being my happy-cuddly-even-when-I'm-sick-and-tired-literally-place. I guess I should change the title to "hypochondria yay!" :/

THIS is my Greek Love
Posted 16 years agoFirst, please take a look at this image.
I've done this on a t-shirt as a nice big "F*** YOU" to myMasterworks of Western Lit pre-1500 Older Deader White Guys professor, who is an old, almost-dead white guy himself. Seriously, I think the poor guy's gonna keel over on us one day. Anyway, instead of just ignoring the whole Patroclus/Achilles relationship like a lot of professors will if they're uncomfortable with the implications or just don't want to make a point of it or whatever, this guy states outright that "They couldn't be gay because Homer himself wasn't gay. That's completely a construct of 5th century Athens." Add in a little "la-la-la not listening" every time anyone in class even asked about Patroclus's part in somehow calming the rage of a demigod, or instigating grief so terrible it destroyed half a battlefield when unleashed.
Okay, first off, we don't even know if Homer was one guy or not. There's actually a good argument that "Homer" is just a name ascribed to a written version from the 8th century of a long-held oral tradition of singer-poets. Therefore, being a conglomeration of centuries worth of ideas and mores, it is hard to say that none of those bards was ever "not gay" especially since such rigid ideas about human sexuality have only been around for the last century-and-a-half or so.
True, nothing's explicitly stated in the text and there's no author's notes or anything with the Iliad or the Odyssey saying one way or the other, but the 5th-Century Athenians were doing exactly the same thing we're doing, namely reading/performing this according to the context of their own time/culture, which was probably a lot closer to whatever culture the mythology/legends that make up the tales of the Trojan War stems from. But its clearly not just an "Athenian construct" because the men of Athens themselves were arguing whether or not the two were sexually related or just really good friends, and if the socially acceptable pederasty was going on or the military "Theban Band"-type shenanigans, who was on top or if they switched. There had to be some sort of tradition built up around the idea. It wasn't like it just suddenly exploded onto the scene with the advent of democracy or anything.
In fact they argued for centuries. They wrote plays, and treatises, and cattily edited each others arguments to suit their needs. Plato had one of his (not characters exactly) fanboy over them being together in his Symposium. Yanno, fandom didn't get this epic again until the Aeneid.
Alexander and Hephastion worshiped Achilles and Patroclus at their shared grave on the way to conquer the world.
Alexander.

Anyway, base image is the one you find absolutely everywhere if you type in 'Achilles', ' Patroclus', or any combination of their names in a search engine.
The font is "Ancient Geek" from over on dafont, though it's a bit skewed to work with the image.
The quote at the bottom is actually on the back of the shirt. Its from cleolinda's "Troy in 15 Minutes" over here and if you like that, you might like Sarah Rees Brennan's A Story of "True Love and Idiocy:Troy, A Parody" Both are hilarious, and have kept me and my friends sane through long hours of boring Old Dead White Guys.
If you would like to use this anywhere (icons, shirts, the like) go ahead. I'd like if you commented, so I know you liked it enough to use it though. If you'd like a high res file or a different background, just ask.

Posted 16 years agoClasses I have:
Film and Media Audiences
Masterworks of Western Literature
16th Century Literature
Film Adaptation
Documentary Film and Video (Department of Redundancy Department, I know.)
(15 credits)
Hours a week I work:
23-30
Fandoms I have currently fallen into/rekindled love for:
Merlin
Trek K/S
HP (H/D, R/S)
Pipster and Flash Rogues in general
SV Clex
SGA
Teen Titans
St. Seiya
Kamen Rider Hibiki
BtB&B
Goddamn Blackest Night
(11, with 14-15 pairings all told)
Average hours of sleep per day:
3-5
Days until midterms:
1-6
You may have noticed I haven't been posting much more than the odd journal recently. Yeaaaaaaaah... The fact is, I've drawn a sum total of 5 1/2 new things in the time since Otakon. I've yet to even attempt putting photoshop on my new laptop. I've stopped working on any sewing projects, including the half-finished armor for my Piper costume. I've written only about a third of the essays required for my five classes. I've been sneaking fic by pretending to write notes in class (luckily I'm new to my professors, or else they'd know I stopped writing notes in 2nd grade). I'm still wondering how I ended up an English Major and whether killing myself wouldn't actually be preferable.
BUT HEY at least my paycheck remains the same! */chipper sarcasm*
*Start sobbing*
*goes to strangle my boss*
P.S.:
Cutest Merlin fic ever: http://community.livejournal.com/me.....40.html#cutid1 Gen. Can be read as pre-slash if that's your bent (it appears to be the show's). Yes, this is the exact tone of the show. OH BOYS!

Requests?
Posted 16 years agoOh cool, the y!Gal problem was just a server thing. *wipes brow*
Still doing the "Ten Requests Meme", and I've realized that I have a total of 7 watchers between here, y!Gal and FA. So I'm combining request lists. If it goes over ten I'd be flattered, so have fun!
The first 10 people that comment journal get a free picture of anything they want! But in return you have to post the offer of 10 free pieces of art in YOUR journal. If you've already done this, just link to that journal entry in your comment here!
I can't guarantee great quality, since my muses seem to be pretty quiet, but I'm more than willing to give requests a go. I claim medium that is my discretion, but am happy to draw pretty much anything: het, yaoi, yuri, furry, aliens, fairies, tentacles, comedy, serious, chibi, comic, anime, western, random objects, random theme...hit me!
1. Amna wants Hal vs Steve. Of course! If it were up to me, I'd make it a drinking contest, for the lulz, since I don't see them really NOT getting along...except it's not really in either of their natures and alcohol doesn't really mesh with Super Soldier Serum. Oh, and Steve probably wouldn't anyway because he wants to support Tony. Hmmm...Would Hal be up for some basketball?
2. Willowanderer is a gal after my own heart. She wants GL/GA action!!!I am going to assume she means Kyle/Connor, since That's what I normally draw, and Hal/Ollie kinda weirds me out. Well, I like Dinah, okay?! Okay, she does want Hal/Ollie, and who am I to refuse? I can get behind it, as long as Amna doesn't strangle me for it. (Oh baby!)
3. Goddess-of-BUTTSECKS wants some Shinra/Kadaj This pairing is pretty under-represented, true, but, uh, I'm not sure I can manage much more than CRACK with it.
4. hushicho asked for my take on some of her Incubus Tales characters Interesting. I better get reading, since I only got to the second chapter. Funny and NSFW, who am I to complain?
5. DigitalDuckie, predictably, would like to see some Asmodai. Nothin' wrong with that, since he is one GQMF...
6. "Loud"Amy loves Ariel! I do too, so no sweat.
7.
8.
9.
10.
Speaking of GQMFs, I sort of understood this before, but now I really have proof: Star Trek Novels are really giant, endorsed, fan-fics. "Price of the Phoenix" and its sequel? Guys, I've read pon farr fic that is less slashy than that! And don't get me started on the novelization of the Motion Picture...
Oh, and if anyone likes fun, fluffy, funny, punny, cracky, and sometimes bittersweet fics? Farfalla's TOS archive http://cosmicduckling.com/spirk/stories.htm is 125 fics of pure, unadulterated love.

NOW IS TIME TO BE FREAKING OUT, JA-JA?
Posted 17 years agoBeyond the fact that I am, indeed, still alive, and that I have lots of stuff to scan and post for you guys, there are...
Three things:
1.) CRISIS CORE IS OUT! Oh yeaaaaaaaaaah. I don't need to have a PSP to enjoy the total GAY that is that game. My friend'll let me watch/play it after her.
2.) BIG X-Men: Evo binge. As in downloaded the first two seasons, got the third on disc, and watched them all over spring break. I suffer from serious Nightcrawler and Toad love. Which is great, because in this series they are so easy to slash, so I get both my favourite characters in one! I also like the girls in this, so het and yuri love abounds. Thus, I *devoured* the archive, lj comm, dA clubs, y!Gal clubs, and the pit of voles for fic and pics. I would have headed over to AFF, too, but I got distracted by the shiny that is Lex Luthor's head. Speaking of....
3.) Lex Luthor has a serious man-crush on Clark. Not that this is news or anything to me, I'm just saying. (All I have to think is 'Kon' and my smirk twists up a little more.) Really, what I'm talking about here is Smallville, seeing as I've just finally gotten a hold of the series, starting with the first season. My friend says she stopped watching on TV after a while because after the first few episodes Clark starts becoming more and more of an "ass". I'm more familiar with the comics, so I told her it was just what I expected. They don't call his escapades 'Super-Dickery' for nothing. Can you tell we're Lex fans?
Anyway, back to foraging for fan-stuffs. Mmmmm....PLNunn's "Sliver". And if anyone can tell me where to find the last season of Evolutions (season four), I would be much obliged.

What are these furries on my tv!?
Posted 17 years agoOMG, so I'm scrolling through my cable-less tv (T_T), trying to get back to our regular channels of 10, 6, and 3 (my grandfather was watching britcoms again...) and I stop on PBS and THERE ARE FURRIES. Not kidding. Apparently its a animated (3d, bleh) kids show called "Animalia". (There are human characters too, which is why I classify it as furry and not just kids' show convention...)
ZOMG Zaboomafoo's on now! It's been forever!
"~They're going to the closet, they're going on a trip!~"

Posted 17 years agoI am in a smutty mood right now...
But I fail at anatomy, especially with a mouse/tablet. Also, anything I draw by hand can't be colored, because my scanner/copier fails as hard as I do, and I'll screw up any lineart I do if I try and color on it directly....
:/
Eff you, good ideas. Why can't you come when I'm awake enough to sort things out, eh?

Wills and thanks!
Posted 18 years agoWell, it's the end of the year again and no one I've talked to seems to believe it either. I'm not usually one for traditions like New Year's Resolutions or anything, but there are a few things that have *got* to change in my life.
1.) I will be less wired into the internet whilst I have homework to do. No art, no reading, no games or porn or forums when there is work to be done. Failure is not an option, especially with my budget.
2.) I will learn how to change the clock in my car. Being four minutes late to everything is retarded. That's the difference between an A and a B, and thirteen cents every minute I'm late for work.
3.) I will also do everything else by a reasonable deadline. Essays, cosplays, art-trades/kiribans/paid projects, drive-times, bill payments, ad infinitum. (Lacewing, I have not forgotten you!)
4.) Budgets or at least money reserves are to be managed. I am sick of having less than $100 in all of my accessible accounts. I am now receiving larger paychecks, there is no reason I can't start to save on my own. I will remember: $200-300 for gas and sundries a month, $450 per class and $100+ per textbook, at least $125 for hotels/food/gas contributions per drive-range con (1-3 this year) and an estimated $700 hotel/flight (train is out right off) were I to go to YCon alone (assuming same place and similar time, which means no to YCon this year).
5.) My living quarters will be maintained. I only have a 108 sq.ft. space, albeit crowded out by my eight bookshelves and the bed, dresser and vanity (...seriously, wtf?) which my grandmother refuses to let me move or replace, despite their unneeded bulk, propensity to collect junk, and the latter two's complete uselessness to someone who has maybe ten outfits and a handful of jewelry. But, damnit, it can't be that hard for such a small place, regardless of the sheer amount of *stuff* I've collected in my time.
6.) I will be more healthy. That means more than one meal a day, at least one full night's sleep and two days off from work and school per week, a little quality stress-relief time, and actually making use of the free gym membership that comes with my tuition. Yes. Even if I have to say 'no' to my boss a few times and hunt down a few gods-be-damned racingbacks to swim in.
7.) I will implement some of the ideas I have, instead of simply letting them ferment in the back of my mind. Perfectionism is no reason not to, and I shouldn't care what people may think. Fuck them, it's not their life or their space.
'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`
Beyond that, I'd also like to thank the many people who have faved and watched me over the year, especially the latest crop who haven't been acknowledged yet:
Loo-Rou,foxnuts and Wave! Thanks guys!

Ho damn, the Sevens meme
Posted 18 years agoSEVEN THINGS THAT SCARE YOU (Well, in my case things that really skeeve and/or annoy me for inexplicable reasons, 'cause that's the closest defintion of "scared" that I know...) :
01) Being truly blind. I can handle blindfolds, closed eyes, and blurry vision because of illness or near-sightedness, but If I were ever to go truely, incurably blind, I know I would either kill myself or go mad from loss of input.
02) Pain from unknown sources.
03) People.
04) Descent from high places. Not falling, not heights, just slow viewable descent, like going down a lighthouse's stairs.
05) Not knowing things.
06) Losing or getting too close to my..."pack" (it's the only way to describe it.)
07) And *grasping here*..er...phones?
SEVEN IMPORTANT THINGS IN YOUR ROOM:
01) more like 1200. BOOKS.
02) and...er...more books?
03) some posters?
04) Artwork and cute stuff Nyssa made!
05) ...er, that's about it? other artwork accumulated over the years, including my own...
06) wait! Blankets! Most important articles of clothing ever!
07) And flashdrives. But that kinda counts as my artwork...
SEVEN RANDOM FACTS ABOUT YOU:
01) I have one small pointy ear and one regular ear.
02) My only noticable birthmark is a chain of four large freckles around my eyes. I think of then as Orion's belt, one on the far left side, two at either corner of my right eye and one between them and a little lower.
03) If I sit still for too long, then take a deep breath, all of my ribs crackle and pop like knuckles.
04) I pick up accents from fairly short conversations and I speak (sing, mostly) in languages I don't even know sometimes. Ones that don't exist.
05) When counting out items in small amounts (usually less than 30, but sometimes up to 100) I almost never count in English (my native language). Usually it's French, Japanese, German or Spanish.
06) I have an annoying (especially to me) habit of parroting and mimicking. The verbal part is what irks me as I think it's stupid and makes me look stupid too. Unfortunately, I'm not accustomed to speaking eloquently, despite a large vocabulary at my disposal.
07) I am particularly shameless and blunt when I speak my mind, to the point of offending the weaker skinned. Combined with aforemention tendency to parrot I try not to speak too much.
SEVEN THINGS YOU WISH TO DO BEFORE YOU DIE:
01) Learn several langauges to passable fluency, including programming languages.
02) Travel to many countries.
03) Give Dub-ya and good kick in the ass.
04) Learn different martial arts techniques.
05) Create something. I don't know what.
06) See a wolf in the wild.
07) Learn.
SEVEN THINGS YOU CAN DO:
01) Ignore you. Especially you with the puppy-dog eyes. No, I will not give you whatever you want.
02) Annoy the hell out of someone without even trying. (Primarily by doing the above.)
03) Draw, a bit.
04) Read. Really fast. Very, very fast.
05) I can inhale and exhale at the same time? (Comes in handy when trying to play the didgeridoo, among other things.)
06) Roar like a big cat.
07) Procrastinate.
SEVEN THINGS YOU CAN'T DO:
01) Sing well.
02) Deal with people. I think to fast and too far for my mouth to keep up, and end up tripping them up or stumbling myself. (The same thing happens when I read out loud without consciencly slowing down.) I'm not saying I'm a genius or anything remotely close, I'm just scattered and can't form words correctly.
03) Take a compliment, apparently.
04) Find the right time to get in my best friend's pants for a buddy fuck.
05) Form stable relationships. Probably because I don't want to.
06) Stop being addicted to gay love.
07) Write essays. I seem to have communication issues.
SEVEN THINGS YOU SAY THE MOST:
01) "What I mean is..."
02) "Dude"
03) "Sweetness"
04) "No"
05) "Sweet, mother-loving Sephiroth!"
06) "Ho damn"
07) "Fuck"
SEVEN CELEBRITY CRUSHES:

Battle Party!
Posted 18 years agoJust something to amuse me. [Semi-]Random character battle combination; What do you think you'd say if you were given an FF style three-person team-up that included:
Kiros Seagill (FF8, effectively a ninja) (1)(2)(3)
Lulu (FF10, THE black mage) (1)(2)(3)
Dilan/Xaldin (KH2, Dragoon w/ SIX lances + infinite airtime) (1)(2)(3)

Lifetime Confusion
Posted 18 years agoDamnit Nyssa. (And Kit.) Your college is looking better and better to me. I can only find 3 "maybe" colleges that have my specific program (LibrarySciences/Media Specialty) IN THE ENTIRE STATE. If it wasn't for the fact that I am in no way competitive, I would drop it all together and go to art school. Maybe be a teacher. SCAD has a good teaching program and they take transfered credits from my community college...

In other news, I've been on a major Gundam Wing kick lately and have begun mass-downloading OSTs. They don't disguise teh ghey in these things do they?
Heero's song: "Don't run away. Let's start over. Look, that smile always suits you!"
Duo's: "I'll laugh and show you the dreams you've been searching for, there's not supposed to be promises, but if he won't show his heart, it's up to me."
Wufei: "An endless journey, maybe we'll meet again one day.
Unforgettable wounds still hurting...every time I turn around
seems like a shadow's looking down at me. It is justice."
Trowa's are all:
"I am emo clown
don't know how to love, LONELY
his smile stops my heart"
And Quatre's... I cannot properly sum up the gay of this song [link] read it and fangirl (or boy. whatever.)
And half the instrumental songs that play when Quatre and Trowa are in the same scene have names like "Sparling Harmony," "Soft Hair and See-Through Eyes," "I'm Happy with Only That," and "I Feel Like Crossing Over That Rainbow Bridge".
So gay.

Just Some Character Speculation...
Posted 18 years agoDon't mind me, I just need to get this down before I lose it or change it completely...
I noticed a pattern when I was trying to think up VII-XII: I imagined most of them as non-humans, which makes sense considering that most Disney characters are not human. The ratio is pretty high at any rate. Now, after a long while of debating with myself, I think I've got them all down:
Xemnas < Ansem ne Xehanort, Apprentice, (probable) non-Garden Humanoid Race, possibly former Keyblade-bearer, formerly Terra [?], arrived as Xehanort in Garden early/mid-twenties; death: mid/late-twenties
Xigbar < Braig, Apprentice (Engineering, specializing in Mechatronics; also interested in Philosophy, but not formally studying the subject), Garden Humanoid Race 2; death: very late thirties/mid-forties
Xaldin < Dilan, Apprentice (Research Psychology, point of special interest: Psychophysics), Garden Humanoid Race 2; death: mid/late thirties
Vexen < Even, Apprentice (Lab Tech, curious scientist in general, accomplished Biotech), Garden Humanoid Race 1; death: early/mid-forties
Lexaeus < Aeleus, Apprentice (Philosophy, Education and Educational Technology, inventive), Garden Humanoid Race 1; death: late-twenties/early-thirties
Zexion < Ienzo, Apprentice (Linguistics, Legal and Forensic Psych (Lab Tech)), Garden Humanoid Race 1: death: mid-teens/early-twenties
Saix < Isaiah (short Isa), Great Mouse Detective: his Heartless became the notorious Hound of the Baskervilles. Death: mid/late twenties (mentally) 3-5 actual years *Original concept accorded to ruinreverse rp: Asi, a demi-human (I assume) Mystic Warrior.
Axel < RAE a Moomba kit, recently evolved in part of a clan formerly stranded and now hiding in part of the Australian outback. He befriended a rancher-boy on the edge of his territory when he was quite a small Moomba, and managed to smuggle himself along with when his Alex went to college in the city, where they learned the joys of gaming and programming, and that they can't avoid those freaky shadows in the dark alleys forever. Death: early/mid-twenties (Mental) about 50-60 as a Shumi, ~10 as a Moomba.
Demyx < Myde, a somewhat happy-go-lucky merman that was originally 1/7 his size, before an unlucky accident with the palace's resident witch made him huge. Triton, feeling pity for the poor guy, took him on as a caretaker for his three youngest daughters. Not only did they get the best lullabies, now you know where Ariel gets it from. A problem arises when Myde tries to take in a strange parentless egg with a human inside of it. The pressure under the sea threatens to break the protective surface and kill the man who sleeps inside. It's too heavy to heave to the surface, let alone to the nearest shore, so Myde asks Triton to send it to land, where he'll be safe. But will the lands be safe from this man? Much later, Myde makes a foolish trade with Ursula for the chance to walk on the land, not knowing she meant she'd actually literally take his heart. And set it loose in the palace. Thereby forcing him to destroy it, getting the witch banished and himself exiled. Death: very late teens/early-mid-twenties, about 30 physical years
Luxord < Rould, A space-faring cat-alien from the future, a la Capitan Amelia. I originally called him L'Rudo, which is a mix-up of a Romance "Le" (the) and the South African "Rudo" (Love). Which he should've named his ship. Except he never managed to get his own before his heart was eaten by space Heartless and his powers activated to save himself. Death: mid thirties (mental) 150+years
Marluxia < Lumaria, a Neverland Sparrow man. You always knew that guy was a fairy! It was a particularly nasty brat whose laugh birthed Lumaria. "Is this what happens when you stop believing?" Death: 100+years
Larxene < Arlene, a Guado, which rather neatly explains her kinkiness, her friendship with Marluxia, and her hair. Death: early-twenties (mental) ~40 physical
*Original concept accorded to ruinreverse rp: A persecuted witch from Kiki's Delievery Service.
Roxas < Sora, Keyblade-bearer, non-Garden Humanoid Race (Destiny Islands) Death: 14-15
Phew. That's down. Now, I'm going to BED.

Salaam and good evening to you!
Posted 18 years agoWould you like to see our eBay items?
I'm just starting out in eBay, because I need the money really bad. (So much so I couldn't pay the fee to list more than four at a time!) I'm selling some yaoi and boy-love comics, some movies and books. Later I will start a line of cosplay items and dolls' clothes. Any ideas or requests? I'm open to suggestions.

Posted 18 years agoIn Addendum.
Posted 18 years agoTime is rather limited. Not only time until Otakon, but the time I have to work on con-ish things.
Renée's schedule is as follows.
Saturday June 23rd: Post notice. Organize materials and room. Practice dress for Marluxia wig #1. Procure another leather-needle. Leave for work 3:30.
Every Sunday June 24th: Working 9:30-5:30
Monday June 25th: Dentist appointment 11:00-whenever. Leave for class at 5:00.
Tuesday June 26th: Writing final paper. Leave for work: 3:30.
Wenesday June 27th: Continue writing paper. Leave for class: 5:00.
THURSDAY June 28th: FREE a.k.a. ENTIRE DAY OFF.
Fridays until July 20th: Free until 3:00.
Saturdays until July 21st: Free until 3:00.
Monday July 2nd: FREE.
Tuesday July 3rd: Free until 3:00.
Wenesday July 4th: FREE. (As far as I know. I might go see my mom for once, ja?)
Thursday July 5th: Begin classes at college. One Virtual. One on campus 1-3:30.
From then (July 5th) until Otakon my schedule is:
Sundays: Work.
Mondays: Leave for class 12:00, return 4:00.
Tuesdays: Free until 3:00. Work.
Wenesdays: Leave for class 12:00, return 4:00.
Thursdays: Leave for class 12:00, return 4:00.
Fridays: Free until 3:00. Work.
Saturdays: Free until 3:00. Work.
So yeah, anytime that can fit in there. And that means no, I can't go down the shore this year.
I have enough fabric for five coats at the moment, maaaaaybe 5.5-6. So far it's Kat, Me, Sara, Chris and Amna, though I may push yours back, if you're not going/aren't sure. Like Mary, Drew, Lydia, Jack(?) and Rhett.
They cost $40. That includes fabric, chains, zippers and work (which I really should actually charge for, seeing how much time I actually have to do all of this).
Wigs and props cost however much extra you’re going for. If you need, we can organize a trip to raid Trent’s Town for the good, economic-friendly weaves, or to the Home Despot for extra arsenal. Bring your own pants, boots and gloves. Though gloves can also be procured by moi for $5. Undergarments and shirts, optional. Bindings are not necessary, nor are contacts and ear sculpts, but they rock.
That's all for now. This is your Number Two, out.
