The Bartender
General | Posted 9 years agoI've recently been having some troubled times. Having lost my fiancee and been given little choice but to continue with a career I very much dislike. A few days have passed and It's been pretty rough, from having one too many drinks to not being able to look at certain things without remembering the good times that are now gone.
I took a 45 minute break to write a small short story. My first ever attempt at first person narrative titled "The Bartender". I feel like posting it in its first, rough draft form as it is an expression of my feelings and my way of trying to cope with what I'm dealing with currently.
I hope it helps bring a smile to some of you. Feel more than free to comment on it.

Looking to build a fan base here.
General | Posted 9 years agoSo I was reluctant to start a user page here for quite some time, and likely this will push me into making a base of operations here and elsewhere.
My goal for this page is to start submitting writings. Be they short stories, general mock-ups for new characters or submissions for art of my characters, stories and the like.
I've been writing a novel series and developing character for roughly thirteen years now with no real outlet or source to showcase my ideas. I've got copyrights on material and am starting to get serious about publication and potentially getting printed works out.
Right now my main focus is as follows for the working title "The Empire of Eternity" -
1. Establish the universe in the public eye - Start by introducing main characters/races in origin short stories or novellas. and introduce the reality in which all things in this universe take place in.
2. Get these characters illustrated or start on forming material designs for them.
3. Meld these origin stories together in an epic adventure and start the epic I feel will span multiple books.
4. Welcome artists, illustrators, authors, and fans to start being a part of this universe and showcase collaborations and submissions of fan art for the series.
All in all each of these steps is going to take some time, and they all intermingle with one another. I'm already working on the first short story, entitled "The Balance Of Reality" that has evolved into a novella.
