Year End Review
General | Posted 4 months ago2025 could have gone a little bit better writing wise for me. I'm a little disappointed in myself that I didn't get more stories out this year. Some of it was outside my control with the reconstruction, but I think I could have done at least a little better. It seems to be the odd-numbered years give me issues. But in the end, I'm just using it as fuel to do better next year.
The most viewed story was: Denoncandy, Gym Buddies
The most favored story was: Minotaur Pill
The most commented on story was: Vitamin S
The story that surprised me the most in it's reaction was: Stars Aren’t Born.
This story was a lot more tame than my average TF story. I felt good about the story and was happy the commissioner was pleased, but honestly surprised by it's reception.
The story I had the most fun writing would have to be, well it's a tie this year.
Mixed Blessings, Chapter 16
After working with my good friend and second-ever commissioner,
Journeymanic, for four years on this long form slow burn TF story, It was an amazing, if a tad bitter sweet, feeling to bring the story to a close. Especially when writing the epilogue I had a big smile to my face as I was working on it.
Farm Girls
When I was first given the story details for this year's Thanksgiving Raffle I wasn't sure how I was going to pull it off. But one I got to writing the twins it just came naturally. It was a blast writing the dialogue. If given a chance I'd love to delve more into the world in the future.
The character I created that I am most proud of is: Lady Lucrezia Cason / Lyrvarrith
From the story Dragon Mayor. She was just so much fun to write! Mixing that classic dragon ego with someone who doesn't follow tradition. I don't know if Lyrvarrith will ever make a return in the continuing story, but I'm so happy I got to create her.
With the new year arriving in less than three days, I'm getting ready to open up my first batch of commissions for 2026. I'm looking forward to another year of writing for you all. I wish you all a safe and happy New Year!

October Update
General | Posted 6 months agoHello everyone.
I know there haven't been any updates so far this month. As some may know, my son caused a flood back in July causing damage to our home. Between approvals, insurance, and scheduling work (both reconstruction and some additional work we decided to do while everything was ripped up) did not begin until the end of September.
It's been hard keeping up with discord and FA while I've been relying on my phone for all my online activities. And I was having difficulty working on the current story after a point.
I need to get a new laptop (old one finally gave up the ghost about a year ago) to avoid something like this in the future. The end is in site, however, And I should soon be getting my furniture back in the rooms.
I just wanted everyone to know I'm fine otherwise and as soon as I can get back on a proper computer I want to crank out the owed stories and have another opening in November, along with a Thanksgiving Raffle before I close up commissions for 2025.

Vacation Notice
General | Posted 10 months agoI will be going on a small vacation with my family from the 19th to the 27th of July. I will still have my phone so I will be checking in on FA and discord, but I probably will only be doing minimal work, if any, on open commissions.
Expect delays.
General | Posted 10 months agoEarlier today my son clogged the toilet on the second floor and caused a flood. Although nothing important was lost, dealing with this may cause some delays in getting out my next few stories depending on how things go with insurance.
Awesome gift!

Chrysanthemummy just uploaded this awesome rendition of my shark oc, Lynda Baron. I really need to get back to writing a few more stories in that setting. In the meantime, go check it out along with her other amazing art! https://www.furaffinity.net/view/61187739/Sci-Fi Valley Con
General | Posted 11 months agoI'll be at Sci-Fi Valley Con in Altoona, PA on June 13th-15th. I'm not a guest or anything, I'll be helping a friend with their booth. I will be there late on Friday though because it happened to line up with my son's preschool graduation, and we can't skip that.
Backlog cleared

Uploads are back on the menu!
General | Posted 12 months agoHey everyone,
First of all, I'm thankful for everyone who stopped by my gallery while we were stuck in read-only mode. I even have a few new watches, thanks guys!
I posted Birthday Bash finally to FA today. I've got two more stories ready to post as well, but I will do so over the next two days. The floodgates have opened and I don't want the stories drowned out in a sea of submissions. Now I just need to get ready for opening commissions and still try to get my annual Mermay chapter out.
That's all I have for right now. Thanks for stopping by!

As soon as I have something ready to upload....
General | Posted a year agoIsn't how that always goes?
I do have a SoFurry account, which I will link below. I posted my latest story there when I though we'd be back up in a few hours. I'm still working on things, but I won't be posting or opening for commissions until everything is completely up and running.

Yeania Aeon was searching for their name online and came across one of our collaboration stories posted on the PDF Room website. Further investigation found five of our stories. We are still credited in the stories as our names are in the author line, but since these were older works they didn't have my (now standard) contact info block at the end. They were all posted on November 24, 2024 by the same person, and judging by the name I have a good idea who the individual was.I want as many people as possible to read my stories, and I do give permission to people who have commissioned stories from me to post their commissioned stories elsewhere on the internet if they wish as long as my credit and contact info is still attached. However, I want to have a say where my stories are posted online. Feel free to share links to my works on here or on SoFurry wherever you like, but please do not post my stories on other archive sites.
Wrong link posted

General | Posted a year agoThank you all for sending us your messages as we deal with saying goodbye to Honey. They meant the world to both my wife and I. We're hanging in there, still letting tears out as we come across things. Like when I put her food and water bowls into the sink to soak tonight. I remembered her last meal of a sirloin steak and mashed potatoes, and how much she enjoyed it.
I hope you all have a wonderful evening and a good night's rest.

Goodbye Girl
General | Posted a year agoBack in 2010 a dog foster mom in Alabama went to her local Walmart to go shopping. In the same shopping center there was the local ASPCA shelter. The foster mom was approached by a woman with three young puppies in a box. The woman asked where the shelter was and the foster mom informed her it was closed on Sundays. The woman said she would just leave the box on the doorstep. The foster mom said, “give them to me.”
There were two males and a female. The males found homes quickly, but the female remained. She named her Honey Sweet Honey because of her demeanor and her brown fur. She was giving up hope of finding her a forever home and was planning to just adopt her.
Meanwhile, up in Pennsylvania, my wife and I were on Pet Finder looking for our first dog. We had both experience with family dogs, and we had talked about adopting one since we bout our home. We found her pictures and a YouTube video of her enjoying a walk. Without ever meeting Honey, we decided to adopt her.
After a twenty-two hour drive, we met Honey for the first time. She was a naturally shy dog and we were strangers to her. She wouldn't follow us to the car and we had to carry her to our car, and she peed on my wife's hands as we did so, (lol). We kept the name Honey Sweet, and gave her our surname. Since my wife and I never called each other “Honey” there was no issue with this name
After the car ride, Honey was still scared and unsure of us. She walked into our powder room and stayed there, despite our attempts to get her out for almost two hours. Then we took her on our first walk together. She changed almost instantly. By the time we walked around the block she started to trust us. This turned out to be a pattern for her. You couldn't win her over with food or pets, you had to take her on a walk and earn it.
Walking was Honey's favorite thing to do. She would choose a walk over food given the choice, and that is not hyperbole. Over the years I can't even venture a guess as to how many mile we walked together. Honey would get so excited whenever anyone said “walk”. We had to say “W” as a code word between ourselves. Honey was shy around people, but when it came to other dogs she was very friendly, and quickly made friends with the neighborhood dogs.
Honey loved walking and being in a yard, but also learned to appreciate our central AC after living through Alabama summer. We spoiled her a bit, but she was our baby girl. She grew strong, strong enough that she could tear open our basket weave fence and get out of the yard, so we had to get a vinyl fence (we were already thinking about getting a new fence, so that just accelerated our plans a little).
I remember when we got a new collar for her, a pink collar with plumb blossoms, so people would know she was a girl. When I took it off to put a name tag on it, she flipped out. She pushed her head back into it s soon as she could. She loved wearing that collar and hatted not having it on.
In October of 2019 we added a new member to our family with the birth of our son. Honey was so protective of him as an infant, body blocking people when they would approach his stroller. She never barked or even yipped when he grabbed her tail as a baby, just walk away when I corrected him.
We worked hard to socialize her, and she got better over the years. She would accompany us to family gatherings, but was always ready to jump in the car and head home, drained from the interactions, but she was happier being with us so she endured. Our little introverted girl was affected by the pandemic like all of us were, and afterwards became much more social.
She was there for us when we were sick, and we were there for her when she was. In the summer of 2021 we noticed a bad spot on her tongue. We took her to our vet and we received horrible news, she had cancer of her tongue. We decided to fight it and although she lost about a quarter of her tongue and had to learn to eat and drink with her shorter tongue she did so and the cancer did not return. When my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in December of 2021 and was scared, I reminded her a cancer survivor slept every night at the foot of our bed, and that helped us both to go forward with her treatment.
She started to develop arthritis in her rear legs around the time my wife began her treatment. At first it slowed her down a bit and I stopped taking her on our traditional three mile walks. Then she couldn't go up on her hind legs anymore. Then steps started to give her trouble. We did what we could with food, supplements, and eventually a monthly injection this past year. She started to have incontinence issues. Honey started to lose visible muscle mass in her rear legs. Then a diagnoses of kidney issues. We switched her to a kidney diet, but she continued to decline. Honey was still eating, but not as much. She was loosing weight, eventually dropping down below her weight when we first met her.
By October she was having difficulty getting up, and in November she was no longer able to get up without assistance and needed help getting up and down stairs and was now wearing a diaper full time. We knew the time was coming, but with my wife's last reconstruction surgery, we didn't want to move forward, or with Christmas. But with the new year, we knew it was time.
Today a service came to our house. She closed her eyes in her home surrounded by her family. She was eleven moths old when we adopted her. For the following thirteen years she was a part of our family. I look at her empty bed and I feel the hole. But I would do it all again. This pain does not compare to the joy and love she brought us.
Thirteen years, no, a lifetime spent with her. I love you, Honey, and that will never go away. One day I will meet you again, and the first thing we will do is go on a walk.

Year End Review
General | Posted a year ago2024 was a great year for my writing. Looking at where things stand I'm amazed at the number of views, faves, and new watchers this year. It's uplifting to see how many people are enjoying my work. I'd like to give a special thanks to everyone who commissioned me this year. Thank you for choosing and working with me, I had a blast working on your stories this past year. I enjoyed writing every story, commission or otherwise, but there are a few that stand out for various reasons.
The most viewed story was: Futacola, Truth or Dare
The most favored story was: Cowgirls Wanted
The most commented on story was: Centaur Witch, Chapter 2
The story that surprised me the most in it's reaction was Jurassic Flu. You guys really like dinosaurs, apparently.
The story I had the most fun writing would have to beCareer Shift Without a Clutch.
C.Z.'s idea was a lot of fun to play with and flesh out into a story.
The characters I created that I am most proud of are Eve Kirkland & Corinne Barnes fromDemoncandy, Test Subject and Demoncandy, Gripping Gala. I wasn't trying to make recurring cannon characters, but next thing I know,
genyun is rendering them in a series of awesome adventures.
With the new year arriving in two days, I'm getting ready to open up my first batch of commissions for 2025. I'm looking forward to another year of writing for you all. I wish you all a safe and happy New Year!
