Hello there! Again, it's been a number of years since I made an entry here! A lot has changed since the last time; I'm no longer working as a full-time illustrator and have moved art back to a side-passion again :). I've wrapped up all remaining commission work a while ago and will be focusing on developing and creating personal work for the next while.

I've got some energy now and have been slowly adding my art backlog to the gallery. Sorry if you've seen some of these elsewhere before, but hopefully there are a few pieces that are new to you as well! I started struggling with my mental health around 2014 and didn't really keep up on updating my online galleries for a few years during that time. I'm doing better now and continuing to work on it.

I know I missed replying to comments while I was away, but I have read them and I really appreciate that you took the time and care to share your feedback with me <3. If you would like a response, please feel free to ping again!

Hey guys!! Hope your 2016 is off to an excellent start! I'm not quite dead, but work has been eating up my life (what's new lol) 8,D.

Just wanted to make a quick shout that I'll be at FC 2016 this year!

I'll be at Table #80 with Fluff-Buddies :D! I'm the design-half of the Fluff-Buddies team with amran as the everything else, so I hope you like what we have to offer! I'll also have some prints and be taking some commissions during the con as well.

Bit nervous since a) it's my first time to FC!! and b) it'll be our first time vending at a US con ever, but I'm sooo excited to have the chance to meet people in person and see friends I don't get to often *u*. A pretty late announcement on my part, but I've had the privilege of being asked to be a Guest of Honour at VancouFur, which is happening... in 4 days!?

Convention Commissions
I will be taking a very limited number of traditional commissions at the table (sketches and badges). It's usually best to come early if you would like a slot! I will not be accepting any take-home work or digital unfortunately, as I am currently committed to finishing some owed work. I will be closed indefinitely for any other commissions until those are completed.

Hello all!

Been a rather long while hasn't it? Sorry for not been online for so long. Just wanted to post a quick update with what's been happening with me since last year:

• Moved out to sunny BC in July of 2013. I had the opportunity to start earning my living off freelance work, and took it up happily (thank you so again to those who supported me in this ♥)
• I fell into depression towards the end of February 2014 due a variety of reasons, a major one being lack of face-to-face social interaction & making new friends. I've always been physically near my friends and I think I took this particularly hard. Unfortunately, this negatively affected my ability to work freelance and thus sustain myself.
• A few months later, I took up a part-time position with a local retail shop to try and stabilize & be more social.
• Eventually, in July, we decided to move back to our home province as I was still having a difficult time and not recovering very well. Shortly after, my parents took me along on one of their trips to Hong Kong for the majority of August 2014.
• I went back to my old happy design job upon returning, though a lot of my friends there had left already. A new opportunity presented itself in January this year and I took it up to open some more doors.
• Started up at the new job across the city, and moved out to a new location mid-January.

Thankfully, I've been feeling better and more stable being closer to my friends and family. The last few months have been busy and a bit overwhelming while trying to keep up with everything, but I'm getting back on my feet. Forever thanks and gratitude to Amran, who has been there and stuck with me thick & thin.

I am still (-still-) owing commission work from my last round (-over a year ago-) to synxthelynx & shiranai225, and ds-dasher (sob, I've become one of Those Artists >>). I can't make any excuses for being so irresponsible, and will be aiming to complete those for you folks in the next while here. As always, you are very welcome to contact me by email to discuss any concerns.

In other news, I was selected as Guest of Honour for VancouFur coming up, and have been helping them put a few things together. More update on that in the next journal!

Sorry about the silence here for the last few weeks; I've been busy catching up on work that had been pushed back in February due to getting ready for VF huhu. Should have some new things to upload soon though! For now, the belated Vancoufur con report!

This was my second time heading out for VF and it’s nice to see how it's grown :D. It's a fun little con with great people and great events. One of the other perks is that the location is super convenient; groceries, restaurants and a mall within walking distance. Mega thanks to all the staff and volunteers that kept everything running so smoothly this year :)!

We also had our first experience with dealing and running a con-table there under fluff-buddies. It was a steep learning curve, but I think we did ok! Thanks so much to all the folks that stopped by to check us out, and also to chat and socialize :D!

Sob, also you guys who came to get commissions were a wonderful bunch, thank you ♥! I wasn't expecting so much interest and had to close rather early. I found that I had difficulty balancing completing those to my satisfaction with attending to the table/visitors, and with trying to spend time with friends. I was mega frazzled towards the end of it, so my apologies if I was scatterbrained when you met me! I'll probably just do pre-orders, or cut down on what I'll be offering/taking on if I do a table again huhu. No regrets, but I'll definitely change some things for next time :)

I didn't get much of a chance to visit other tables or even chat with our table neighbours this time, and I also missed the Friday art jam so I was pretty bummed out about that :C. I did get to meet some really rad peeps in the flesh though, including moomanibe, redcoatcat, reddyeno5, weremagnus, and nicoface. Nico even gave me the physical copy of a canvas paper sketch I commissioned a while back too, which was a super surprise *U* ♥.

All the pieces I put into the Art Show sold as well! I'm super grateful to everyone that popped by to take a look, and to those that gave the pieces new homes, thank you so much <3! I'll miss 'em but I hope you continue to enjoy them :>.

Coyoten, if you see this (or if someone knows him?), I sent you an email about your badge a while ago! Haven't heard back yet, so just want to make sure we can get in touch!

All in all, VF was fun and it was fantastic to meet some new folks & see all me ol' buckos , even if brief! I'm gonna make sure I make more time to check things out next time!

Whew, things have been crazy lately, but just a shout that I'll be hitting up Vancoufur at the end of the month with Amran! We'll be bunking with Dark, Kader, and Kieren, so watch out for #GOOGLYEYECRU makin’ (harmless?) trouble *U*b!

I also decided to jump for a Dealer Table this year and, from the map, looks like we'll be at #5 next to our good friends and GoH Zay and Wolever of Fox Closet!

It'll be my first time having a table and doing art show at a furry con, so wish us luck ahaha! I'll be posting previews of the work I'll have there over the next few days so I hope you enjoy :). I'll also have a few prints, originals, charms, and a little sketchzine available, and will be taking a limited number of watercolour badge and sketch commissions at the table.

Of course, I'll also be helping vend Fluff-Buddies merch! We should have lots of Paw Socks in stock, as well as Critter Charms, buttons & magnets I've helped design :).

Just wanted to express my gratitude for all the support and encouragement that I've received since I signed up many moons ago.
I'm often gone for weeks to months at a time on here, but I'm always amazed (and boggled) by all the comments and watches that pop up during the absence.

I read and appreciate each comment and I really regret not having enough time to respond to each one, sorry! Hopefully in the future I'll be back to browsing more regularly, though it doesn't look like an option at this time.

I've had opportunities to meet a lot of fantastic people through this site & the fandom and I feel really lucky for it. Such an amazing pool of talent and inspiration and support all balled into one. You guys and gals are awesome ♥

Seems like it's the year of new furry cons! I've let myself get wrangled into heading to Fur-Eh coming up on May 4-6th now!

Not too much planned at this point, just the usual poking about and sitting in on some art jam sessions when they happen. It's been a while since I've done so, but I may also be up to taking pencil sketch or ink & marker commissions during jam times. Looking forward to meeting more folk and seeing how things go here! Should be fun :).

I've also been asked to host the Fursuit Performance panel which runs on Saturday. I'll mostly be covering the basics of character performance, throwing some routine ideas around the room, and touching on differences between performing in the fandom and in general public. If time allows, we'll also run some charades exercises and a group critique/feedback period for those who would like to participate!

Finally had some time to sit down and type up a few words. In quick summary: We made it in, we made it out, and had a good time!

We were fairly lucky with the driving weather throughout (except that last stretch into Burnaby, ffddgshf). The drive wasn't as brutal as I was anticipating and I'd probably jump on chance to do it again, though a more leisurely pace would be lovely. BC, I am quite jealous of your driving scenery though not of your sodding mountain roads. Poor amran had to endure my constant and vocal lamentation over this fact.
Spent the first stretch of the trip on other business, but had a chance to visit HikariShade and keichimaru (and critters!) for a little bit during then :). We also discovered the fluffiest cat in existence at an antique stop in Valemount.

The con itself ran quite well and I think they did a good job for their first year. The hours were a bit strange, especially for the Dealer's Den, and it was unfortunate that the con dates fell on Daylight Savings! The hotel and location were nice, though there wasn't a traditional furcon Denny's nearby ;). I wasn't personally interested in a lot of the con panels though, and we ended up spending some time away from the hotel and in downtown Vancouver. We missed the suiting events that we had wanted to catch, but managed to have a quick romp in the halls anyways. We also ended up invading White Spot in suit (in lieu of Denny's), where we were FAH-BU-LOUSly received by the maître d' ;). As silverrose put it, he was very 'rainbows' and a fun guy!

It was good to see everyone again, and spend time hanging out with people I wasn't as familar with before :). Got to do some much belated catching up with darkone238 and other BC folk. Thanks again to apoxon for the super cute badge too ;u;. I wasn't expecting random gift attacks, so that really made my day!

I really wished I could have spent more time in the area visiting. Cons are just too short a time span to see everybody! I guess that means we'll just have to head out more often ;).

VancouFur looks like it's got some solid grounding, so here's to another year! Thanks for all your hard work, everyone!

Alright, so it looks like logistics have been locked in and I'm due to wind up at VancouFur!

No solid game plan yet, though I'm hoping to catch some time with some of my Vancouver pals if they aren't too busy running the con ;). I'll likely be found in the vicinity of  amran,  bloofox and around knee height of  wolever! That silly  barley will also be tagging along for this!

Maaan, I can't express how much fun I had this year!

I spent most of it hanging out with wolever and bloofox which was absolutely fun and fantastic! Met prowlercat and tocomawhitewolf through them, and got to spend a lot of time together as well :)! We did a lot of poking about in Seattle which was a nice break from the con craziness. Thanks again for taking me out on grand adventures of donut wrangling, downtown waffle exploration and (of course) the Denny's Walk of Shame! Thank you to kyi for the dance as well, haha. Hope I didn't step on your toes in the process!

I also had the pleasure of seeing old friends and meeting a few new faces from online! I really regret not being able to say more than hi and a few words to some of you (and some people I missed entirely T^T!), but I suppose that's all part of the convention game. There's always next time though! In the process of doing individual shouts at the moment.

Also did lots of dashing about as Barley. If you happened to be caught in his wake, I humbly hope that he managed to make you smile! Whoever gave him lyme disease, thank you! I still have the mange from RF '09 ;u; (that stuff is hard to cure!). If anyone has pictures of the silly pup, I would love to see :). Oh, and one of the more memorable things overheard while in costume: "Hey! It's a little kid in a fursuit!"

...*a single tear* :,} No wonder that pup can't reach cookies on the top shelf!

Turns out I'll be making it out for RF this year! I'm super excited to see friends I met back at RF'09 and to meet new ones :)!

Planning to be there Friday onwards. You can probably catch me derping around as Barley or hanging around the Art Jams in the evening. I'm on the shy and quiet side until I get to know people (then heaven help you when I do), so please excuse the flustered moments aha.
