Hello all, it's with a heavy heart that I have to announce the end of me doing commissions for the foreseeable future.

I had a major medical event which has left me unable to work like I used to and thus has made commission work unfeasible.
So until things change, if they ever do, I will not be taking commissions.

To those this effects, I am so sorry.

I can only hope things change down the road.

So they made a journal about me, not with my name included mind you, but one giant run-on about how terrible a person I am because I'm tired of waiting for a piece of art that was promised to be delivered MONTHS ago.

Yeah, they are having some current life issues but none of that has anything to do with the 7 months of nothing. I wouldn't even be mad if they had given me a screen shot just showing me that 'hey, I'm working on it!' but they won't even do that. Just the "I'm halfway done with it!" or "I'm working on it".

7 months of I'm working on it but I'm in the wrong. :/

I honestly don't know what to do about them. I filed a claim and submitted a thing for artist beware.

Hey so, I know I've been super quiet but I'm still here, just lurking lol.

But anyways here's my problem!

I got a commission from an artist about 8 months ago, I have seen no work, no sketches, nothing despite me asking for anything just to let me know that the artist is in fact working on my art.

So a few days ago I send them a message telling them that I'd either like the commission done soon or give me my money back. It wasn't a cheap commission. Their response was that they were working on it but had nothing to show and that life the past week was bad for them. I get that life happens, believe me but all the life stuff happened months and months AFTER I commissioned the artist, so other than dragging their feet on working on it there really isn't any other valid excuse.

But I don't know what I should do about them, should I report them? Should I file a Paypal dispute? I don't know.

Oh and if you are wondering if they are producing art, yeah they are. Adopts, stream commissions, other commissions. Just not mine.

For real tho. I only know a handful of artists to get art from and I'd like to broaden that pool. Does anyone have any suggestions for artists that are currently open for commissions?

By commissioning me, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

† Full payment must be issued before I start the image.

† I will accept a partial payment, as long as the full payment is received within a week. If a partial payment is required, please discuss this with me beforehand. If full payment is not received, your commission will be dropped. If you sent a partial, it will be refunded.

† I will send an invoice to you for payment. Any payment received outside of the invoice will be considered a donation, gift, or tip.

† I only accept PayPal. Alternate currencies may apply, but only in very rare circumstances. Feel free to ask if I’m willing to accept game currency, points, or subscriptions.

† I reserve the right to cancel your commission at any time. If I decide to cancel your commission, you will receive a full refund, regardless of the progress I’ve made.

† If you decide to cancel your commission, you will only receive a full refund if it has yet to be started. Otherwise, your refund will be determinate on the amount of work complete.

† A REFUND WILL NOT BE GIVEN IF THE ARTWORK IS COMPLETE.

† You MAY repost your commission as long as proper credit is given. You may also crop said artwork for avatars or banners, but you may not repost a full, HD image without my signature and a link back to my page or my original submission.

† You MAY NOT commission characters you do not own without the original owner’s consent.

† You MAY NOT create copies, prints, or other merchandise with the intent to sell or for profit. Any and all merchandise created by the client should be for personal use only.

† PLEASE LET ME KNOW BEFOREHAND if your commission should remain private. I will respect and retain your privacy if desired.

† You have the right to issue takedown notices of images posted without your consent or my own.


══◊REGARDING ME, THE ARTIST◊══


† I own all copyrights of the commission. I also reserve the right to copy, reproduce, and reuse the image for self-promotion and sales. That being said, I WILL NOT reproduce your commission with the intent to sell or for profit.

† I reserve the right to take as long as I like on a commission unless a due date is previously agreed upon.

† I reserve the right to refuse a commission under any circumstances.

† You may request changes up to three (3) times before I no longer accept them. This does not include communication errors or mistakes on my end.

† You MAY NOT edit or trace the commission yourself, or contact another artist to do so.

† You MAY color lineart or paint over a sketch, as long as there is a link to the original sketch, as well as a clear distinction between the content provided and my own content.

† You MAY crop or edit for layout purposes, icons, banners, etc. as long as the original content of the artwork is not edited.
