Well this is an interesting development :o

Got my shinies all set up, so if anyone wants to partake in contributions - you may now do so!

I'm thinking about maybe saving the majority of any shinies funds towards getting actual commissions/YCHs of myself from other artists for all to enjoy - if I get any at all that is.
But it does seem like a fitting use for them, no? :3

So I just encountered the second person in over 3000 who has expressed dissatisfaction with my pre-determined 'thank you' shouts for watches.
As such, I'm just going to explain this here once and for all.

The way I see it, there are 3 options;
1. Use a pre-determined message that expresses my genuine gratitude in an equal and timely manner to all.
2. Somehow come up with thousands of different ways to say 'thank you', that are also unique enough not to trigger these people.
3. Say nothing at all and come across as completely ungrateful.

As far as I am concerned, only one of those is possible/acceptable to me.
So please - try to put yourself in my shoes before you get your panties in a twist and attempt to start drama over nothing.

All that being said, I am curious to know what people think on the subject in general, so feel free to share your opinion below - though let's keep it as calm and drama-free as possible! :P
(also this is NOT a political issue, so keep that shit to yourself - I will remove anything political immediately, regardless of alignment.)

Just felt a need to address this, because I am genuinely grateful for every watch and fave - as expressed in my last 'Thank you' journal, and the last thing I want is to offend people in my attempts to show that.

Yeap...it's been almost 10 years since I started, and I think I may finally have had enough.

It's just not the same anymore.
I'm not sure what it is, if people have changed, or I have changed, or both, or what...but something has.

It used to be I would log in and get swamped with IMs (private messages) from boys wanting to have some fun, whether it be from friends on my friend list or new people I meet in world.
Now, it seems no one has any interest anymore. I'll stand in a crowded gay fur hangout night after night, watching random people and 'friends' come and go without a peep...and when trying to initiate things myself, I mostly get ignored, snapped at or worse. Just tonight I had someone I thought was a 'friend', turn on me in a pretty cold way for asking if they were up for some fun...apparently they could ask me, but I couldn't ask them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So I just can't help wondering what the point is anymore, all it seems to do nowadays is feed my depression and further reduce my virtually non-existent sense of self-esteem.

Anyway...sorry for the negative and kinda ranty journal - but I just had to get it out.

I just wanted to take a few minutes to thank everyone who has watched, faved, or commented on anything of mine over the past couple of years.
It has meant alot to me over the years to have a fairly large group of people to share my work with, even more so to receive feedback that they actually enjoy what they see~

Unfortunately I barely have time to make any new work at the moment, let alone send out thanks to every individual one at a time as I once could. (of which there are alot more individuals now too x.x)
I was more and more frequently coming across people who did not wish to receive any thanks anyway, and that quite put me off also.

I just found out one of our kin,  quasiskunk passed away recently. :(

While I did not know him well, he did feature in one of my best and favourite works ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/14996977/ ) - and while talking with him
during the process of creating it, he did strike me as a particularly friendly and polite person.
I always remember the people in my art, especially if i'm in it myself also...there's a bond of sorts there, like you've shared a deep and personal fantasy with
that person...even if it is just a piece of visual art.

I know that'll probably sound pretty weird to most people, but it is the truth of how I feel - and so this has shocked me quite deeply.

Anyway, this journal is just me paying my respects and remembering you, Quasi.

I hope you're in a better place now, hun...maybe even living out those dreams and fantasies for real now...somehow...someway...<3

It would really be just a place to spread and gain awareness about things that are going on in the world amongst our own little community.
Things like human rights, animal rights, environment, and so on - a place to share and discuss the like with other fuzzies.
We all want to improve the world around us, right? Maybe there's something going on close to you that you feel more people need to know about,
or that you just want to talk about. You just send a note to the group and it gets posted in a journal, where other fuzzies can read/talk about it.
