Soooooo... it's been a hot minute. Sorry. My computer situation never really got better... or family.. amd we all know 2020 was hell for everyone... so I kinda dropped out of sight. Again. For anyone still checking in, thanks. Lol.

2020 messed with my job, like it did so many others, and while I have downtime... I started to art again. Only, I don't have any kind of computer for digital anymore. So. It's all gonna be either uncolored scribbles on paper or altered tcg cards with paints, since I can sell those at a friends card shop. If you find that interesting, feel free to say hi. ^^;

So I'm sure you guys have been wondering where I've gone! No, I havent died. Like usual, I just have the worst luck ever.

I worked Polycon alone almost over a month ago, for my friend and I's business CheesyShenanigans. That actually went super well. We made a decent amount of money and everyone seemed to enjoy our product. Add that to the fact that Emerald and I were making decent headway on the wedding plans and life seemed to be going smoothly. I guess I should have known better? lol.

A week or so after Polycon, I had a 'day off' where I had someone watching my dad so I could get out of the house. I finished my errand running and when our DnD's groups DM asked who was free for boardgames over the group text I decided to head over. I was halfway there when some college kid Tboned my car.

I had come to a four way stop, following a road that passed through a little residential area of Lakeland. I stopped, looked both ways. No one was at the other stop signs or even close to them, so I proceeded through.... and bam. The other kid, Chris, had apparently been looking at his phone instead of watching the road and was going way too fast for the residential area we were in. No, I'm not making that up, those were his own words. He blew through his stop sign and slammed into my side of the car. Thankfully it was the backseat area. A little further up towards my door and things might have been much worse.

I'm ok, I just banged my head pretty good and got a little bruised up. Had a black eye that somehow managed to look like one of those fancy smoky-eye makeup tutorials. lol. But my poor car, Stephano, is a goner. The last few weeks have been a hassle of bickering over shit between mine and Chris's insurance companies. Allstate, his company, declared my car a total loss and offered me.... well, next to nothing. Not even close to what the Bluebook value was, or even enough to finish paying it off.

So, I've been trying to find a way out of this hell, in which someone else ran a stop sign and hit me, leaving me with no car and debt on a car I no longer have. Add that to the drama of the shady ridiculousness going on with the repair shop and tow yard I was dealing with (Btw, Lakeland furs, do not use Auto City Towing or Bernies auto Shop. They are in cahoots or something. They lost my car somehow, -twice-, when it was sitting right outside their office, in the same place). Needless to say I havent been spending alot of time on art or even online.

As of today, though, things seem to be looking up. My own insurance company offered me a better deal on Stephano, so I can at least pay him off with very little out of pocket. Its a mark against my own insurance record, because Florida is a No-fault state, but its still better than fucking Allstate. And Emerald had a friend from work who was selling a car, and dropped quite a bit off the asking price for us. It cut into the wedding fund a good bit, but we are hopeful that we'll have time to earn it back. Named the new car Toriel, from Undertale, because its white.

So, fingers crossed guys!

Hopefully things will get back into a good place and I'll be on here more frequently. Now, to go get some art done!

Back from Fanboy Expo!

It ended up being alot smaller than we expected, but we made our table back and had fun.

Looking into doing some other cons this year! Possibly Polycon, definitely Metrocon, and possibly Tampa Bay Comic Con and Clermont comic con.

1. When did you get into art?
When I was very, very small, I started drawing things with crayons like any kid. I got praised for it, and in my house praise of any kind was a pretty big deal. My parents weren't what you'd call 'nurturing'. And I am rather... fat. Have been my whole life. So art was the only time anyone really paid me any positive attention, and I craved it. Plus I've always really enjoyed drawing. I've grown out of the attention seeking phase, as much as any artist ever really does, and now its more a way to express myself and my feelings.

2. What art-related sites have you ever signed up for?
FurAffinity, deviantART, um.... Weasyl I think? Etsy... and then theres art groups on Facebook and Livejournal...

3. Show us your oldest piece of art you have on hand.

Anime. lol. Its definately anime based.

Yes. Realism never really clicked with me, though I do still have a few pieces I like that I did. I've also hopped around other 'cartoony' styles, like Adventure Time and Disney.

6. What levels of artistic education have you had?
Advanced classes in high school.

Um... its not really worth putting up anywhere to show you. Its just a really stupid doodle of a chick going "Ahhh! Quinoa!" As a box of quinoa is dumped on her. It... was an inside joke with the bestie. lol.

I'm getting married!!!!

and I have been engaged for what feels like forever. lol. And now we are finally actually -planning- our wedding. I have my dress and everything! <3 It'll be this December, so its a Christmas themed wedding. Our colors are red and green, our wedding favors will be Christmas cookies, my bouquet will have lights in it, ect. Any other Christmas wedding ideas? Let me know!

Also, I noticed I'm actually really close to 400 watchers! That means a couple things. First, if someone can get me a screenshot saying I have 400 watchers, I'll draw a little doodle for you. Maybe a Sweets Doodle or Big Head Chibi.

Hey guys!

IRL stuff has kept me from FA for a bit... again... and I've come back to find a -ton- of messages. I had a bunch of favorites, almost 200 new watchers, lots of comments, a dozen notes, and just waaaay too many new submissions and journals. I nuked the subs and journals immediately, as I could never get through all of those... But I tried to reply to everything else. Really, I did. I always try my hardest to thank my new watchers and for favorites, and I -ALWAYS- reply to comments and notes because it makes me feel so special when people take that kind of time for little ol' me.

But... this time... there were just too many. By the time I replied to all my notes and comments and faves, I realized I'd lost a few hours of time. I made a (valiant, I feel) effort to thank all the watchers... but... I'm just running out of time and steam. lol. So I'll say it here instead...

I want to do some Sweets Doodles, and since this is October... lets make them Halloween themed!

Sweets Doodles are digital flat-colored drawings on a smaller canvas (I think I used 8x6in last time?). They feature your OC and a sweet of your choice, be it candy or cake or ice cream, even fruit.
