Posted 2 years agoThis morning, a friend of mine made me aware that in an effort to push YouTube Premium on the users who have been viewing for free, that Google/YouTube has returned to "Suboptimal viewing" to those who use an Ad Block extension, program, etc.
My view on Ad Blockers is that these applications, programs, extensions, etc...are there to support Anti-Virus programs against malicious data, programs, etc. So, for Google/YouTube to say "Either turn off your AdBlock or subscribe for Ad-Free YouTube Premium" seems to be along the same lines as extortion to me.
Why do the people at YouTube, if there are people there anymore and not run by some sort of AI/Bot, think that I'd want to pay money for an ad-free YouTube? How can they think that what they offer is on the same level as say Amazon Prime, Hulu, Paramount Plus or other such streaming services?
It's ridiculous, it's all bullshit folks, and it's bad for ya.

Thursday morning, I was making to go get my breakfast before going in to work, when I'm told that my card doesn't work. Odd? You bet, so when I go to look at my account, I find I'm over $400 overdrawn. Why? Someone got a hold of my information and made nearly $750 worth of purchases on the Google Store at around 3 AM Central Time (U.S.).
So, naturally I called my bank, disputed the charge and opened a fraud claim, things seem to be moving okay on that front. Fast forward to this morning, when I found that someone had changed my contact information and password to the affected Google account (which happens to be my main email address), an account recovery is in process, but it'll be at least two more days before I can do anything further.
So, in a nutshell, anyone who reads this. Check your accounts...ALL OF THEM...update your passwords and enable 2FA if possible, make your accounts goddamned Alcatraz within Fort Knox held within the secret Vatican archives.

Posted 14 years agowell...it would seem that it's down to the wire. What I hear is SOPA is up for discussion once again in February. Anyway,SOPA/PIPA wouldn't work ( https://www.google.com/landing/take.....ion/sopa-pipa/ ) to Pirate Sites,it would be like shutting down a store selling illegal products and not arresting the owner. The Owner would just find somewhere else to sell. At least that's the idea I'm getting here.

Posted 15 years agoDisney will stoop to. The Last Vestige of Awesome,untapped,pure Disney;Fantasia...has now been gobbled up by the Mouse of Evil,in a full movie called "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". Now for those of you who remember Fantasia,"The Sorcerer's Apprentice is the scene where Mickey as the apprentice,tries casting Magic on various objects (including walking brooms) to do his chores and such,and ultimately failing,and the Sorcerer returning from his slumber to find his chambers flooded in water and swatting Mickey with a broom. From what I can tell,this movie DOES NOT FOLLOW Fantasia at all...
Taken From IMDB: "A new live action comedy-adventure loosely based on the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment of Disney's Fantasia. In modern day Manhatten, the master sorcerer Balthazar Blake (Nicholas Cage) attempts to protect the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina), an evil wizard with nefarious plans. Posted 15 years agoThe Chicago Blackhawks are going to the Stanley Cup Finals after defeating the San Jose Sharks 4-2 to Sweep the Sharks Four games to None. Awaiting Results from the Philadelphia/Montreal series will tell us who the opponent will be,at the moment it seems likely that the matchup will be Chicago vs. Philadelphia for the cup. Chicago has not won a cup since 1961,despite coming close in 1992 against the Pittsburgh Penguins...Philly has not Won a Cup since 1976...Montreal even longer...should make for a decent series despite seedings.

A:It's not fair to O'Brian or Jimmy Fallon...They've both worked on their shows long enough to have earned their time slots,why not Give Jay Lame-o Fallon's old show?
