Sorry for the lack of musics
General | Posted 13 years agoI've been sick on and off for a while and my voice still hasn't recovered. I do have a few nice projects I'm finishing up, though! I should be uploading a new one in a few days or less.

SOPA/PIPA may be postponed, but it's not over yet!

ACTA: Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement
If you haven't heard of it yet, you need to read up, and tell EVERYONE. It is more dangerous than SOPA and The Patriot Act combined, and it will work on an international level. So far, the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, Japan, Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada have all signed this treaty.
I'm unsure at this point as to when this treaty will take effect, but it looks like it won't be until March 2013, so we might have some time, if I'm right. Right now, we need to inform everyone that this is coming in order to protect the freedom of the internet. More info on ACTA is listed below.

My Public Statement concerning SOPA/PIPA
General | Posted 14 years agoIf these bills get turned down, I will uninstall uTorrent from my computer and never return to online piracy. If they get passed, I might just become some kind of whacked out extremist. The internet is where many of us spend the majority of our time. Google, Wikipedia, Valve, and Reddit have already stood up against these bills. Facebook, Twitter, Google, Youtube, Reddit, Wikipedia, FurAffinity, InkBunny, LiveJournal, and any other site you use could be taken down without a trial if these bills are passed. This could cripple the economy like never before, since so many businesses get a lot of sales and advertising through the internet. Many businesses are soley on the internet. Thousands, possibly millions of jobs could be lost if the businesses listed above went down because of these bills.
There are rumors being spread that the bills have been pushed back, or that SOPA has been already turned down. No, they haven't. They are both still up for voting this month. PLEASE contact your representatives today if they're still considering the bill. All it takes is an email or a voicemail. Just a quick message saying "Hi, I'm ____ from ____ and I really hope you oppose SOPA and PIPA!". If you don't have the time to do that, there are plenty of petitions all over the internet for it. Hell, even Google made a petition against it! Sign their petition here!

General | Posted 14 years agoSeveral months ago, there was an old man staying in the hotel I work at for like 3 weeks straight once, and for several days on multiple other occassions. His wife was being treated at the nearby hospital for brain cancer. We saw her a few times at the hotel too, as well as some other family members. They lived a ways out of town, but he stayed in town to be with her every day. Eventually he couldn't afford to continue to stay at the hotel anymore, and just parked his trailer in the hospital parking lot. We hadn't heard from him again until yesterday, as he came back to the hotel on business for a single night stay. He had informed us that his wife had passed on October 1st. We sent him some flowers for our condolences. He said his wife would have really liked them.
When a guest stays at the hotel for such a long time, you really get to know them. I'm honestly sad for his loss, and I hope he and his family are doing well.

Best and weirdest dream ever!
General | Posted 14 years agoI hardly ever dream, and when I do I don't remember them. So I'm logging this for epicness.
So my old High School was one story and outdoor based (when every other school in the state is indoor because it's fucking cold in Oregon xD). In my dream, my school was maybe 3-5 stories tall and I found this to be totally normal, and where the Learning Lab (basically a separate computer lab for people catching up on credits) used to be, there was a big ol' building that was locked to most students. Turns out, this was a dorm area for sissies and female AB/DLs. At least from what I could tell from going in... I also apparently lived in this dorm. The only way to enter, however, was to throw open the first door in the very last two hallways opposite the school, and run over to the dorm's entrance before the timed lock went off. VERY weird. But I made a few nice friends in that dorm that I talked to one late night after work, long after everyone got home from a football game involving ninja stars (like ninjas, but they're superstars). Also before it ended, there was something about the dorm only shopping at Fred Meyer, which was really weird cuz they're expensive and I hate shopping there :C

Self-Loathing Furry?

This kid is a babyfur, mind you. He thinks that homosexuality is a sin and we're all going to hell... but he's a furry...
He's so bad that when he tries to start an argument, he ends up trolling himself! It's fun to watch, and not the least bit sad. I think he has some mental disabilities, but meh, I don't give a fuck. He came onto one of my submissions to bitch and moan about how I'm a sinner, so he gets what he deserves.
Don't give him too much crap, though. I don't want the admins thinking I'm sicking the hoard on this poor retarded catholic.
Though I do know a certain lion watching me that'd have a field day with this x3

“Don’t be discouraged by writer’s block. Writer’s block just means you need to listen to other music. That’s how new ideas come, and how musical inspiration is passed on—through other music and other brilliant artists. You can re-listen to the stuff you love, but that’s not always going to pull you in new directions. With that mental downtime, you can listen to Lee Scratch Perry or Jeff Buckley or the first Pearl Jam record. You can listen to Tim Hardin, Delta blues, country, Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, Paul Weller, and Run D.M.C. Listen to whatever pulls you in different musical directions so that you don’t start copying yourself.”
~ Ben Harper
“Someone very wise once said, ‘Copy everyone except yourself.’ Looking at other people’s ideas and twisting them to fit your own style is a good thing. You can also catch yourself traveling down the same road you’ve gone down before, and nip it in the bud right then and there. You can say to yourself, ‘I’ve used the same chord sequence before—how can I twist it slightly to make it into a different chord sequence? Can I do something no one has ever done before?’ It’s important to keep searching, and not go for the obvious idea.”

US Congress trying to pass Internet Blacklist law!
General | Posted 14 years agoThere is a running petition to stop this!
http://www.avaaz.org/en/save_the_internet_us_a/
So this is basically the kind of shit that Egypt pulled. The US government has been trying to pass shit like this more and more often. This new law that Congress is debating on right now will give the government the ability to blacklist any website they want, specifically those that infringe copyrights or don't police it's users properly.

Since so many of our favorite websites are hosted in America, that means that these websites would be completely banned from the world! Furaffinity would be shut down. Facebook could potentially be shut down. America could shut down almost any website it wanted.

THOSE OF YOU IN THE US WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS PIRATE BAY OR ANY FILE SHARING SITES!

My Neighbors are killing each other

Remodel Overhaul
General | Posted 14 years agoSo I've been working on my bandcamp's image and all that, especially since they have an app for Facebook now. I'm hoping to get it all finished in time for a special Black Friday sale that I know you'll all love! :D
All I need now is a new banner. I could commission a cheap one, but idk from who. Cheap meaning someone I know that can give me a deal x3 I'm broke as shit and really I don't wanna go over like $10 at most. I want to keep furry to a minimum. And most certainly no littlefur related stuff. Comment if you wanna have your art featured as my banner on my Bandcamp and Facebook! I'll decide based entirely on if I feel your style fits with what I'm looking for.

Thinking of writing a story
General | Posted 14 years agoI havent written anything in a long time. This may or may not happen. But if it does, give me some ideas. Make them crazy and whacky. Just give me a few random words. I'll figure something out! :D
