Since different species will make it differently, in theory.. How about kiss of horse and lizard? Bird and canine?

Is just.. I kinda figured the "kisses" how we ppl know them are kinda weird to see for anthros, in terms of um.. physical feelings of characters. Anatomy.
Kisses come from big or average lips and sucking ability, right? then it means mammals are the only whole species category to kiss properly, in terms of "humanish kisses"?.. But mammals don't "kiss" as animals, they lick, groom and bite, because they don't need to eat milk anyway once they grow up, so..
Also interested because of some fetish stylization of the kissy lips for, for example, canine and scaly characters. Or insects. Or birds. Or any species with no "flat face shape" lol.

So... even though it's all fun subject, is all fantasy and such..

SO.. I'm actually curious about smth.
Statistics.
For example, let's imagine there's an artist with 5k watchers. But they only get 100+ faves or even 50+ for each work.
Question. What are the other 4900+ watchers are doing? do they even exist yet? Not blaming, but I'm just really curious to understand.
Is it because the "nuke" button on fa? :D
which I kinda doubt because it's not just fa, it can be anywhere else as well.
but then HOW and WHY does it work like? WHAT creates this kind of statistics, 90/10? or 80/20 if you're more lucky/active/pick whatever?
This can't be just forgetting to fav/like.
Which means, they need smth else?.. but they never answer, right? just hoping to get smth they like someday, staying silent, correct?
I'm also curious because I don't think I see many faves from the people, like, watched me from years ago.. then where are they? did they live fa and moved to other platforms? all the 2400?

Of course, drawing fanart, hyping on smth may add some attention to you, but still, where's everyone else??

for me personally, I have this kind of statistics for 2400+ watchers and about 10/20 favs for about several years, I do believe there was a bit brighter past with more favs years ago :D
But still. the question is the same.
And if this statistics is working like a charm, then what's the point?? you'll never get (well ok, not you, me in this case xD) more than ~20-25 likes if lucky. Well ok, less than 40+ if it's somehow gets 4-5k.

Does it mean I have to leave this account and create new one?? Why? I never actually understood why people are doin this, especially on fa, like does it actually help? Reuploading all your stuff for last years of drawing makes smth good? rly? doubt it. Is like, shapeshifting and pretending you're smth new, how does it actually help?? I might not know smth, but yet i see no logic in it. Does it mean watchers don't really care about the artist, but the um.. idunno, is it smth close to the collecting hobby idea, like in gacha games?.. So like when you see some new character/artist/their 5* or even 6* version, you want them more than you did when you first saw it?? Pray tell, is THIS how it works?
It is also a shame FA does not have any good promotion scripts. Even the advertisement does nothing now. It somehow did some years ago, not now apparently. :\

p.s. offtop: ah btw, I just recently saw a new artist here (I'll keep the name silent, I'm curious if people are able to see the trick by themselves.), pretending they're artists but, with all the exp I have, I can see they're tracing over the ai-generations (pipeline is generate, gaussian blur/posterize, lineart, retrace with hard and soft brushes, mix shading, upload) so clearly it makes me so disgusted I wanna vomit.. x_x' so don't be like this. Eugh. Epic fail from the start.
I assume it's that exact social platform type of artists who think furries make them absolutely rich with their fetishes, just "draw" whatever. Right?
Unless... people don't care anymore if that's ai or not to buy.. then we're kinda screwed.

So. I've just noticed a thing about.. me faving things here.
I've caught myself clear on a thought... that I'm being a quite perfectionist even with faves. Which means.. I'll give a fave only to works I like. Which mean I'll probably like it as artist seeking for quality. And then i remembered.. It was always a thing of anticipation and admiring skills.. the idea goes for the rest. But I've just faved an artwork, made as sketch, or made by the um.. can't say beginner artist, what do you call 'em? junior artist? right. So anyway. For the very long time, I finally faved the.. idea? no, smth else.. I faved it.. because I liked it. But not for skills.. the atmosphere? no.. for it not being perfect?? maybe? dunno. for it.. not being overwhelmed with the perfection? for visible seek for style/wisdom/skills/younameit?
And then I've remembered another thought that was on my mind. Do people really need a perfect picture?.. do people really need a fullrendered piece in terms of being interested for more than few seconds? see, we all, well most of us artists, are interested in self-growth, skills upgrades, etc. But what if.. that's not a thing to be interested in as watcher? How many of you will definitely fave the perfect made artwork? For how long will you fave a high-skilled artist without being sick of their perfect artworks? Because if our brain likes things it can visually eat as food.. means it'll probably be interested in simple and non-detailed shapes, simple shading and simple recognizable composition.. which gives no sense in self-growth in skills. Simplest things give more profit? is that right?
And then I've remembered smth else. Something from my past, when I was a teen... I faved the most fandom of Sonic the Hedgehog pics, I was worshiping great artists/their works as I was interested in becoming as skilled as they were, and even better, but I also faved less skilled yet progressing artists.. just because I liked how it looked? or as fact of seeing it? for it having a potential to grow, but also for.. what? I can't remember.. neither i can understand why do I or other people like works of junior/beginner artists, as well as the sketches are more likely to be faved than full rendered artwork. Why?.. can you tell me?
for having potential? for not being perfect and having visible noticeable mistakes? do you.. "forgive" those mistakes when faving it?

AGHAHAHA ok so long story short. (shorter than my previous journal, i promise xD)
I had a client. Client made a popular fetish themed commission, I drew 2 versions.
He got both versions, one of 'em is published here in my gallery atm.
But.
We've met at some art-community server on discord, socialized like pals, played games, did talks, etc. he even did some gifts on steam. Then something happened. A drama, which was mostly about the other person, but I had to get straight to the point and protect them, at least in what he was unfortunately accused in with no real working proves. As I don't really like dramas, I had to get the heck out of that place, for both my and their safety dunno ;D Then I've blocked and unfriended some people I knew out there (some are still watching and spying on me eh? np, not interested), but then they got me back. Then drama returned. I got freaking tired and exhausted of that, left the serv again. Still, I haven't blocked that guy as he basically wanted to make a commission, which I did finished almost month ago or so.. Then he said he could promote me at some servers, but he did smth else instead :"D His promoting was mostly about "buy her stuff, analyze her stats" or smth, which wasn't a thing I personally needed, because instead of soft promoting, he got.. too big spoon in his mouth. Then when someone of his pals pre-analysed my fa (or most probably the sketch commission he got, as it is fetish-server or smth) I guess they said the reason there are not much comms coming in my way is.... because I need to improve my skills :'D guys im dying. I mean.. SURE, I will skill my art the hecking up eventually, but this can't be the reason, this is completely illogical :D if that would be true - my gallery would be simply empty, ahahha. (no it wouldn't). But. He got mad on me being mad at this illogical, irrational, irritating opinion of anonymous person I wasn't asking for, wasn'r asking for quoting me their opinion much, and got completely mad. Ok. I kindly forgot about his "help", until this day. Remember i was wondering if someone is trying to give rumors on me, behind me? Well. Seems I was right. He's trying to use his... umm.. contacts, to um... punish me? x'D Saying like I'm must suffer from my deeds or smth? Giving a good offer and being loyal for the prices is a bad deed huh? Why indeed. well heck, ya don't plap with the artists boya, they can draw ya in a way you won't like. or even make a trend of it! Kidding. Or not.
So basically, he's giving rumors of me as if I'm a scammer, like if I got the amount for some commission (i assume the one i did and uploaded on fa and social platforms eh?) and blocked him, not drawing the art. Which is hilariously weak. xD at least from what I've heard. Is being hypocritical a new fetish these days?

So.. this is my first (and hopefully last) time I'm having such a gross dude on my memory. He also talks rumors on many artists who drew art for him, as from what I can totally remember from talks on that server. I was actually concerning on him even by that time, like that's quite... weak and rude. Hypocritically childish. Why would you make a commission and then criticize the artist who finished an art for ya?.. Ok, maybe some artists are still drawing, even if it's been months and years. But why? That's not wise, it more seems like he's enjoying the suffering of waiting, dunno. :|
For some reason I'm not including his fa icon/account info here. yet. But at least now I have no chances not trust for him left.
Yet still. I'm sure he makes that for me giving reaction, as it would be some kind of troll. But he's not. Na-ah. |D So here's my reaction anyway. Enjoy it.

Have you noticed little changes in online activity, faves and ych bids activity? In short - they're kinda gone. For me at least.
What is actually happening? Are watchers and buyers tired of some certain things? Will it change if I'll change my gallery to fetishes, nsfw pokemons, hoyo-gacha-cosplay ychs etc? Somehow i doubt it... OR! Is it also because the value of human hand-made art, be it traditional or cg, is gone because of AI? OR! Is it because witch hunt that goes on many artists if they're good enough in what they're doing, especially at the beginning of their career?:) is someone giving rumors behind me?
Or... is it because people get sick of artists they're watching? Overwhelmed by the content, quality and offers? What is the reason??

I'm not even talking about social network like xitter, bluesky and other platforms...

I won't be a perfect angel here, I'll tell ya the truth, 'cause everyone deserves the truth itself in general: YES, I am a full-time job cg-artist, and I DO need your attention, faves, reposts, likes, ych bids, EVERYTHING you can give me as watcher, or as a client. That's what I'm living from, and the art is how I live. So I was tilted the heck away even when nobody paid attention for emergency commissions offer I did when my old huion tablet gone wild and broken. Though I've started as a casual angel artist (in terms of being good, innocent, drawing as breathing, fanarting as adoring characters, gifting friends and lovers, becoming better for self-growth, yadda-yadda), I came up being an adult with needs for living. We all do, as it seems. The only thing that is still the same - effort I put into each and every work. And it's quite sad and frustrating sometimes that effort is not paid enough at least in faves/likes. That gives a depression for sure. You can be frustrated of how can I say such things, that I should be generously thankful for everything you've done for me so far as well. And I am. I really am. Thank you. A hellot. I've couldn't make it so far without you in general. It's true. And still.. it all literally fades away.. it slips away like a sand, like a little flame of the candle that is almost gone. And I'm not sure what to do about it... I try to blaze, but where does a fire goes without a fuel? it.. slowly burns out..
Yet still. I'm trying. I'm trying to shine. I'm not the sun, I'm not that strong and big, but I give a nice lit, warmth and smile... do I?.. do you smile when see a new art from me?.. well, probably not because emotions won't be shown while browsing and faving pics on the internet, of course if that's not memes or smth.. but at least I hope my clients are smiling when receiving a commissioned art and wips.. It's not just about money.

FA advertisement did help YEARS ago, now it's useless. From the last adv I've had so far there was only about +50-60 new watchers, as the luckiest one case so far. Which means it's not working at all. Also because of adblockers :D I'm having 2500+ watchers for about 5+ years, maybe more. The amount of art on main page is so fast you can only pray it won't be on page 2+ in a minute after uploading. (good thing the tags blacklisting is finally here though, it really can ease mind sometimes while browsing). The artists competition is over over9000+ meme in general, 'cause thanks to the free information and tech everyone can draw or at least try to draw for themselves and others - it's the least disturbing thing, since artists can cooperate, but it's true. Also the life gone hellot expensive in general - we all can feel it for sure, each and every millennial, boomer or zoomer can feel it on their cash... so less mons - less commissions? Well guess what, people still want their characters to be drawn, but for a smaller price. And.. that's ok. I, as an artist, can also understand that and the prices can be negotiable in some cases, I do discounts and special offers sometimes as well. But.. GUESS WHAT. Even a good offer for a less price, like 60$ or even 40$ with shortened deadline, can still be ignored :D Animations I've made are also receiving about that much amount of faves as well, though there was more effort put into it. WHY? I'm really, really interested - why?? Please give me your guess or answer in comments.
And I know, I totally understand - people get sick of reminders in general. More reminders - less interested clients, i know. Because I get sick of reminders too :D as a watcher, and as an artist (because reuploading is also a big process - you gotta watch the right time so it'd be 24 hours from the last rem, then check the active users being online, then upload a pic with adding links, adding tags from the original ych, etc... XD).
OH and also! That thing I really hate, but it's an emergency exit for many beginning artists or those who not just smartass enough but also quite popular - damping. 20$ for a full rendered fullsize with background? Guess what - a 1$ as sb. I do not believe they'd draw a complete rendered piece if someone would really pay just a 1$ or even 5$ for fun - they'd probably be at least disturbed by that IF they're trying to get more popular or if they're fulltime job artists. Or maybe I'm missing smth? What am I missing?? what???

Some people would say "Well Shadify, you're not really drawing much lately, so you won't make mons and faves exactly because of this reason". Bullshit. I draw for a good quality, not for the number of sketches etc. If that's really a reason - I ask you, my watchers: do you really go and fave each and every new artwork you see from the artist in your feed? (oh right, I know some people don't nuke/clean their feed in general, just because. so less chances to see new art.) I somehow doubt it, if only that's not a comic or if you're a #1 fan. Besides. As I draw, my quality goes up anyway. So if it'd be about people wanting to buy or at least like for quality - that's also not the reason. But somehow, for having 2500+ watchers I only get about 14 likes for a day-two of posting a pic, sometimes less. And that's all. Silence. Well, maybe more if that's a nsfw. up to 20. That's a lot, huh... and then, some artists are receiving 50-200 likes for.. well... hm.. less complicated artworks. Not in terms of quality and knowledge i guess, but it terms of style and bg complexity (sometimes there's none). And nope, I'm not being jealous here - it's just something I really want to understand. If that's a way of getting likes and popularity - I can do the same, right? And there'll be even more arts from me, right? Well, that's quite logical and profiting, right?
But somehow I doubt.
Means, people know what I can. they saw and know my styles, tos, ychs, animations, gallery in general. So wouldn't changing the content in gallery to less effortless complex cause a wave of unwatching and having even less faves? really, idk anymore. Will it fix itself away if I draw ych with ASSes and penises only as the main thing to see in the little thumbnail?? mb i should try lol. I know some artists do the most... banned stuff for a hellot of mons, over 300-500$ and more, which they don't publish anywhere, and I still don't know how and where they do find the clients for that with THAT much amount for a piece when you can't even sell a hecking headshot/halfbody ych for 40-60$. x_X
OR.. is it also because people are afraid of everything that's not paypal?? Just in case - we HAVE to use other payment systems rn because of politics, war, etc.. And I'll be honest with you - I'm fkn sick of unfortunate cases when client payment is not working on boosty, hipolink or somewhere else - it happens sometimes, yes, and you gotta wait for few days until they fix it or use a helping hand. =_=' humiliating? yes. Disturbing and exhausting? Sure. Do we have a choice? I doubt it. Bitcoin or cryptocurrency? well.... (｡•́︿•̀｡) Do clients have a choice whether they want to buy a commission from an artist using this systems or not? Heh.. *screams in lemmingish before dying*

STILL. The main question is: is FA dying as a platform? I personally dislike they've closed the fa-forums and gone into useless discord-server, where you cannot adv and post your artworks if you not paid a FA+ thing. Fair? mmm idunno.. doubt it.. means we're not equal in general.. like, you could post a non-payable offer on forums too, like if you'd like to get more watchers via raffles or smth.. I remember you've had a chance to find clients on fa forums with created threads, that was easier than it is here or somewhere else. Mb I'm wrong, but at least it was more infographic and possible than it is now. Because like having billions of social platform links is.. so much exhausting... -_-' we're mostly artists that like to draw and have our watchers, receive likes and mons (yea we all do) for our efforts, and also comments and reposts :D 'cause we're all living in a material world, and I'm a material gurl... nanananaaaanaaaa...
And also, with the fa-forum gone, it also killed the vibe of.. dunno, a stability and hope? it's not even about nostalgy, it's about.. a home feeling. Because the fa site is a racing highway. Literally. You work, you hope, you throw your thing hoping it's a "winner" one for you, not the thing to make you "whine" about it.... and you lose. Or win. Depends on..
^^^ depends on WHAT exactly??? ^^^ I doubt it's just luck. because this "luck" is also made by people watching you.

So. Gimme a recipe for becoming hella popular and payable artist. Yea I've said that. Live with it or leave a comment with instructions on a plate. :D the more working strategy you give - the better.

So yah, after MANY many years of leaving DeviantArt I've remembered an artist I've been watching from a very long time (until she became silent on da as well), and decided to check on her gallery.
And then I checked a main da page.... And then I realized... It's full of ai shit :'D I remember the times, years ago many artists decided to leave just because of design changes, I was in the wave as well, so yeah.. I forgot about it for years. Until today. I also decided to play a game: is this art ai or not, even if there are no AI tags included. That's not.. that hard to see if you know where to look. But... then I realized. They literally made a smth called.. no matter, something that makes it possible to generate art with their ai. So.. that was the very last drop point. xD I dropped it. No DA needed.

So, to make it short: even if no one cares about da anymore, don't try to find me there anymore. So any other accounts on DA pretending to be me is a lie. Such a shame, DA... :D
(as if someone really would, ahaha)

At least I hope FA won't let users generate ai and post it here. Pardon my gatekeeping, we all know it's quite and simply possible, in many ways, and many artists are actually using ai, for example if they want to get some poses, hints on shading/styles, ideas, or a thing to trace and sell... ai is a part of our world now, yup. But.. Art made by humans, should be appreciated more than all-consuming generative one trick.

Hey guys. Remember the old times when the artists were kinda forced to move from tumblr to twitter(X) ? yeeeaah, the times of forbidden naked bodies and switching women nipples to men nipples to pass the filter, you got that right... welp, it seems many of us will have to move from boosty to hipolink now. The reason is that boosty had to turn off the paypal payment, so you have to use your card directly/(via paypal-card, eh?), and they made it even worse by limiting the minimal amount of mons available to cash out, like it has to be at least ~26$ so you could see it on your card. That's... a quite o' shame. (upd: oh it seems hipolink has the same problem :D double shame.)
so, let's think about it. If they have another site where you can actually make payments with paypal directly, Hipolink, (and you can post nsfw art as well I suppose?? at least antro??), I guess it would be wiser to use it instead boosty for one-time payment, right? I'll see what's up next, so just keep in mind that future payments for ychs, commissions and other stuff can be done now via hipolink. For now I'm available on my Boosty

it's actually a shame that the whole community, also based on nsfw art, uses Paypal as the favorite site, because the fun fact is Paypal can ban both customer and artist for making mons from f-nsfw stuff. :D Although it was usually banning the artists, from what I can remember... So it's quite dangerous. How about switch to smth else, who pays less attention if that's a common furry art or naked/fetish one? Like if they themselves never had a common sex in their life. yeah right.

so, for a year of war I've noticed people are usually pretend to avoid any "itchy" ways of payments, like Boosty. Many people are still having payment/donation problems, because their banks won't work with the service and such.
Well... I think I've found a nice solution. Ever heard about  EasyStart? It kinda reminds me paypal, but it's much easier;
invoice payment can be done directly via card/ApplePay/G-pay/Link/iDeal and Sepa, choose whatever you feel most suitable is.
Just mind that you need a Gmail.~
