Hey everyone!

So I've been working on a webcomic occasionally (I haven't updated it in a while but shh that's beside the point at the moment)

And I tried to keep up with separate social media for it, but I'm not so good at that. Combined with me trying to lessen my overall social media usage, I think for the most part I only want to post stuff to my main art Twitter, Tumblr, and here (plus itch.io and a Tumblr blog that are specifically for my game project. It has a twitter but I think I only want to post like, occasional updates there.)

Anyways - would you all like to see the pages from that comic? I have 100+ pages/the first Part complete, and I will continue to post it on ComicFury since that's its actual comic host site, but it's a major body of my work so I feel weird not uploading it onto where I do art as well.

I wouldn't post all of it at once - pretty sure most art sites will ban you if you try posting 125 things simultaneously for obvious reasons - but uploading a few maybe every week until I'm caught up?

Also, on the game dev side, would you like to see a Journal here to link to the update threads for that (which are on Tumblr and Itch? I may also post a link to those on the game twitter, idk)

Basically, I realized I'm kinda shit at maintaining a ton of stuff at once (or rather, building independent communities etc for my different projects), so I'd like to consolidate what I work on into more of the same areas so people can see them.

Hey everyone!

You may have noticed I haven’t been super active here recently - between my thesis last semester and preparing for a year abroad this summer, I’ve been mad busy.

I just wanted to say that I probably will continue being pretty sparse for a while - obviously I’ll keep doing art! I plan to finish up the commissions in my queue and go from there. However, commissions will probably be one at a time, I will not be updating my webcomic nearly as often, and so on, probably for about a year, because I’m about to be studying in Japan for a year!

I want to make the most of my time there, so I will be focused on that during my stay. Obviously I don’t want to fall behind with art - and I like doing it - so I am not stopping entirely, but it’ll be pretty slow at least until I figure out my rhythm and get myself established in my new apartment and schedule.

I hope you guys understand, and stick with me even when I’m in this busy part of my life!

I’ve been waffling on potential adopt prices and doing some research.. I think my earlier calculation is definitely too high. I would expect that amount if I was being commissioned to do a character design, but adopts are premade by the artist’s will and not the client’s.

I might do some that are around 70, perhaps auction them to see if there is interest. I’m not sure yet! But I’m thinkin.

THANK YOU SQUARE ENIX FOR MY LIFE

Was in a crash today, I was a passenger and the car slipped on some ice on a crappy road and rolled and the window broke and we were upside down! It was terrifying!

THANKFULLY no broken bones or severe injury but I’m pretty bruised and achey and I think I bruised my wrist/arm, so I need to take some time to heal and make sure it doesn’t get worse. Might work on some art a bit, but I probably won’t do anything intensive or prolonged for a while.

I’m okay! All the passengers and the driver were okay! The car is likely totaled but we all survived without any major damage and no concussions or anything. It was scary though and damn was it a way to end 2017.

So... happy new year everyone!! Stay safe please and tell your loved ones you love them and I hope you don’t run into any snow-related problems or car troubles in the new year.

Thinkin of doing some YCHs. Any sorts of themes you guys would like to see from me?

I’ve not been a super huge fan of doing adoptables in the past. BUT, I know they’re something a lot of people enjoy.

If I were to do them they would START at $250, but they would come with full permission. That means other than crediting me for the design, a buyer would have full use of the character - they could use them in commercial projects and etc, can sell them provided they understand that the same terms would apply if sold, etc.

It’s perhaps a steep starting price - but design is what I’m trained in and I don’t like the idea of doing adopts with a bunch of weird rules tacked on. If I do a design to be sold, I’m gonna sell usage rights too. Standard minimum price for a beginning designer to design a logo for someone is ~$300 - and that includes following client requests. The cost of these adoptables would be time it takes to draw + research time + usage fee.

What do you guys think? Too pricey, or an understandable amount? Or other suggestions/comments?

Hi everyone!

I am taking a hiatus from art-related work between now and the beginning of August, because....

I'm gonna be studying in Japan!! I won't be stopping art entirely, but until I get back it's gonna be mostly doodles or things I've done in my spare time. Once I'm there (I'm leaving less than 2 weeks from now) I'll have limited internet access and computer time, and I want to devote my time to learning Japanese as much as possible.

Just thought I would let everyone know! I'll be back in August to make more art!
