That time of the year
Posted 13 years agoWell its that time of the year....the dreaded B Day on the 20th of this month.
I have already being asked what my plans are and it made me reflect a bit. One of my closest friends said they would get me a speed sign for my bday i was like omg you have to be kidding. So im about to turn 45 and i look back and think on one hand i just don't feel it. Im rollerblading, im learning to surf i still chase women and drink like i did 20 years ago plus i still have most of my natural teeth. Alot of memory's sure and i know if you asked me 25 years ago if i would ever see 30 let alone 40 i would have said hell no! i even manage to still look like i was in 15 years ago which i think is a plus
Then i looked in the mirror and i was like dude wtf were did all the hair on the top of my head go to?!? something here is seriously wrong and the reflection looked back and said wth do you expect? your getting OLD.....so i did what any self respecting guy would do at this age....i flipped the mirror off, smashed it put the pieces in the garbage then when n had a couple shots of rum and put a hat on my balding head, put on my Rollerblades and enjoyed the day.....if old age and death is coming for me, i'm going to make them work their ass off for it LOL!
I still have many years left and lots of pleasure seeing everyone's art work here ahead of me and plan to make each day a good one until i finally bite the big one, with a bowl in one hand, a bottle of tequila in the other, head sets on my ears with a cd filled with classic rock, rollerblades on my feet, artwork from everyone here covering my body and laying onto a surfboard buried 6 feet under enjoying the afterlife, partying with old age and death who finally caught up lol!

Posted 14 years agoOK, some have questioned why I'm on this site so much but have no art to speak of myself.
Well the simple honest answer is this....i cannot draw, paint , flash or anything else artsy for crap lol.
Does that make me a leach or parasite, no! I would like to think of myself as more of a conisore of fine artwork. Just because i cannot make a Rembrandt does not mean i cannot appreciate the hard work and talent that goes into it. What artwork i have i DO NOT share or repost without expressed permission from the artist(s) in question under any circumstance, which is another reason why i have no artwork on my page.
Am i a furry? Absofurry i am lol.
I have been a furry many years, i find furry artwork to be stimulating, different and yes at times exciting depending on the artist and artwork. I have been a loyal fan of artist like Crowchild and Fisk for a long time as well as some others (i just recently came across Peter is the Wolf comic, i highly recommend checking it out if your into lythro or a furry in general).
I would like to call myself a furry friend but i don't want to honk any of my favorite artists off or presume anything more then what i am, since outside their art and their comments about their life and art they choose to share in general, i do not know them very well personally, nor have i shared a drink or meal with them. (not that i would not be against it if the opportunity presented itself mind you.)
When i post i try to give feedback in a polite respectful manner, be it positive or negative. I believe its a refreshing change from the "hey your art sucks" that most artists get and they respect you more for it n tend to listen to your input....something to think about. ;)
If i have or added you to my watch list, i find your artwork and/or talent very acceptable to me, just because i did not add you does not mean your work sucks, far from it. Its just not to my particular taste but that does not mean i wont drop a comment if i see something in particular that stands out one way or the other.
Im a furry art fan plan and simple. I would love to do something, anything furry but unfortunately as explained above i suck at it, i cannot even make a stick figure straight lol.
And thats why im here heh.
