Chains of Fate 3

Part 3 is now complete.
I was going to fix up all the tenses then submit it tonight. Unfortunately, Bob Kerman had a date with Mun and then I spent the rest of the evening baking mini blueberry muffins and playing around in the spaceplane hangar.
I'll try and finish it up and post it tomorrow if my SSTO goes as planned and doesn't take up too much time.
Remember to send me your character profiles if you want any mass-involvement story segments (whether mass combat or orgies). The tourney was shelved because I only got one sub and I don't want to have to pull 15-20+ characters out of thin air for it.

Chains of Fate - Auditions

I currently need 14 characters.
If you want your characters to take part I'll need ref pics, a personality rundown and a Realm of choice. Realms available:
Fire.
Water.
Earth.
Air.
Nature.
Death.
Holy.
Shadow.
You can pick a primary realm and a secondary, but keeping in mind that it usually takes 30-40 years to master a single Realm, I recommend limiting your choices to 3 or less. Jack of all Trades and all that.
Your primary realm choice should match your character personality, but is not mandatory.
If you want the Shadow Realm to be associated with your character, they must include insanity as a character trait, relative to their power in it. (Does not have to be cannon to the character.)
If you want to see a specific character in the story that you don't own the rights to, get the owner to contact me with the relevant information and granting permission to use them.
If you want your character to be a surprise, feel free to PM me instead of posting here.

Since Jinks is taking some time off FA, I figured I'd get my creative writing juices flowing.
Currently, the idea is as follows:
The main characters will be Shadow and Dragon as per our "Elysium" universe.
I'll be starting off the story with a quick background of the current situation and some info about Shadow and Dragon and I'll be using this journal and the opening submission to gauge interest.
Here's where you all come in.
Every section of story, you all get to vote where the story goes next.
Trick is, though I may suggest the next step, you all can decide what happens.
Whatever scenario you can think of, I'll pick the one I like the most and write that.
Think of it as a choose-your-own story that writes the next chapter as you go.
Jinks may also draw some of the best ones :)
Only a few rules atm:
No scat, sexualised gore, watersports or underage sex (Since this will be a sci-fi, using a child-like species that matures quickly will be up to my discretion and my decision is absolute), Non-consentual sex will also be to my discretion and my decision is absolute.

Back from vacation
Posted 13 years agoJust got back from a 2 week vacation in Brisbane.
Will be working on moving down there in 3 or so months.
Adjustment to any commission or request structure:
Jinks has decided that she will not be doing any adult art for anyone.
She will still be willing to do up to tasteful nude art for people, but no porn.
She may, however, do porn for fun, but that'll be up to her.
For anyone expecting any adult art from us, apologies but we will need to cancel the job. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I am not aware of anyone expecting tame stuff, so if you are, please let us know as we've likely forgotten >.>

Diablo 3 + Comission Promo!
Posted 13 years agoAs you're all probably aware, Diablo 3 came out a few days ago.
Of course, I picked it up as soon as I could and it ROCKS!
If any of you have D3 and ARE ACTUALLY WILLING TO PLAY REGULARLY, note me your details and we'll slaughter some minions of evil together :3
Now, for those of you that don't, my copy of the game came with 3 guest passes for Diablo 3, which allow you to play the game up to the the Skeleton King boss of Act 1. Also, some restrictions are on, though it fails to specify what (I'm guessing no access to the item market, but whatever...).
Anyway, Jinks has agreed to open three commission slots for you all, which will be linked to the three Guest Passes. Anyone who orders a paid commission will get the guest pass code to use along with the image, to do with what they will.
She has asked me to specify that she would prefer non-adult commissions at this time though. Nudity is fine, but hard stuff is discouraged.
Legal stuff:
-The code will be sent to you in the method of you choosing, once payment for the image has been received.
-Standard rules apply, though we will work to get your picture done ASAP instead of the usual relaxed timeframe.
-Guest Pass accounts still require a Battle.Net Account, as well as download of the Diablo 3 game (approx 7-12 GB). It is up to you to ensure that a) your system can handle the game and b) you have permission and are willing to create an account, download, install and play the game. Since you SHOULD all be over 18, I'm assuming I don't need to mention parental permission.
-We take ZERO responsibility for anything relating to the Diablo 3 game itself once we send you the code. I can guarantee that it has not been used by us and is fresh out of the box. Beyond that, it's all on you.
-We make no requirements or insistence that you buy the full game. If you choose to do so and are disappointed, tough shit, it's on you.
-You pay for the COMMISSION ONLY. If you wish to upgrade to the full version of D3, you will need to pay in full to Blizzard through their systems. You payment does not grant you any extras for the game, nor a discount on the purchase price for upgrades to the full version.

On the plains of Oblivion
Posted 13 years agoAfter acquiring Skyrim and having it absorb about 2 weeks of my life, Jinks has been stuck playing Oblivion (as we only have one copy of Skyrim).
Hence, she hasn't been doing any art at all XD
Anyway, we'll eventually get back into the swing of things, though we've also found a great little series called "Simon's Cat". go look it up on Youtube. Anyone who's ever had a cat before should go watch it immediately XD
Finally, Jinks has a job now (woo!) and I've taken the first steps in following my dream of an IT career, in volunteering at the local high school. Their IT department consists of one person, and I'm volunteering because they can't afford me yet.
Oh yes, and a slight clarification update on pricing as well as a few additions to our terms.
Anyway, now back to your regularly scheduled porn.

Apparently, Hasbro are thinking of changing the name of Derpy from the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic due to a knee-jerk reaction from the vocal minority (who probably doesn't even watch the show).
But you, yes YOU, can help save her.

The show creators have already proven that they listen to fans, now let's give them something to hear. Raise your voice and save Derpy!

I am pleased to announce that we are considering doing a massive themed picture in the future, probably around a holiday or special event.
The image will be of multiple characters and you can purchase a place for your character or characters.
Once we know who will be in the picture, you can request what you character will be doing and/or with whom at the time. If the other person consents, it will be drawn as so.
Now, since having 1 or 2 characters will make for a very dull event picture, I'd like to get an idea of how many people would be interested in participating.
The more people we get on board, the less each person would have to pay! :D
No prices will be set right now (Though I'm expecting it to cost around $20-40, though it could be less if we get enough people) and the theme will not be picked just yet (Though I wouldn't mind holding a vote on the subject), but put yourself down if you are interested and we'll keep you in mind if we go through with it.
Tell your friends and get them to put themselves down or note us if interested.

Relocated/Back in action

Me and Jinks have finally moved out of our cramped apartment and are now living in a new place, which is nice and big :)
The great news is that we now have the privacy for her to continue drawing.
We've got a few pics that will probably be getting scanned up and drawn properly over the next few days. Expect them on her DA page eventually.
Even better, Jinks can now work on some lovely FA material for you all, so to everyone who enjoys her art (or is looking to commission a peice), we are officially back in action.
Jinks is, at this moment, working on an awesome new pic, so expect it up within a day or two.
Much thanks to all our watchers who have stayed with us through this hiatus.

Anyway, until then, our scanner still works and Jinks still has two hands, pens and an eraser.
So, what we will be doing is opening up a free sketch promo.
Here's how it works:
You all send your ideas, whtever you want drawn.
We go through the requests and whichever one we like best, Jinks draws!
We'll only do one picture at a time and just work from the best picture in the pile.
You can submit as many requests as you want, but once one of your ideas gets chosen, the rest go the bottom of the pile.
Don't suggest anything you don't want put up on FA as all sketches will be posted (Though you can request a reasonable delay on posting).
If you want something more complex, comissions are still open and encouraged, so we can replace the tablet if it gives out completely.

So, my local university isn't accepting admissions until September and even then, semester won't start until next year, so I can't get student benefits. I say this because virtually NOBODY is hiring, and the ones who are won't hire me because I don't have a university education. No matter how hard I try, I can't get a job. I look on Seek, I hand out resumes personally to everybody, but nobody takes me. We have rent to pay and ourselves and two cats to feed, and Loppy is the only one with income.
So, if anyone at all can order a commission, it would be a huge help.

Though me and Jinks are in no position to offer direct assitsance either, I'm sure some of you are, so please help those in need

A Challenge!
Posted 15 years agoOk, so here's the deal:
Me and Jinks have been racking our brains to solve this Solitaire game for about 4 days now and so far it's been impossible. So, if you can solve it, you get your choice of a free sketch or 50% off a flat colour commission.
Here's how it's going to work. I will give you the layout of the cards that we know, as well as the draw deck. You give us a move list of what card goes where. If by following your move list the game can be won (Or at least gotten further than what we have), then you win!
Cards will be denoted in the following format:
H=Hearts
C=Clubs
D=Diamonds
S=Spades
(Value)(Suit)
Example: KH=King of Hearts, 7D=7 of Diamonds, etc.
Ok, here is the board as we know it. There are 4 cards on the far right that we have not been able to reveal. I know what they are but not the order, so they will be marked as UK and listed separately. To maintain alignment, empty slots will be marked with EM.

The Unknowns
The four cards under 9H are in an unknown order. Thought the process of elimination we do know what they are at least:

To be considered victorious, all you need to do is find a way to expose the 4th card on the 7th column (In other words, successfully remove the 9H.).
Example of how to submit your answer:
QD->KS
KS->Col2
Oh, and make sure you submit every move from move one to moving the 9H.

You are welcome to leave replies, but PLEASE also send a note with your submission. The victor will be the one who sends a successful solution first through the NOTE system. Email and journal replies will not be considered valid entries for the competition and will not get you the prize. Have your note contain "Solitaire" in the subject line.

Einstein
Posted 15 years agoSo, yesterday we bought a rabbit. A 6 week old, white with gray patches bunny.
It is adorable and cute and inquisitive. It also likes to lick us for our salt XD
"But Shadow! Don't you have two cats?"
Yes, yes we do. That's why we also bought a hutch :3
Jinks has a pretty good job prospect we're waiting to hear from and I've been looking here, there and everywhere, though Centrelink (Aus version of Welfare) is being a bitch about some forms I need to return to prove that they underpaid me (and suspending my payments in the meantime, go figure).
Anyway, Commissions are still open and feel free to send us a note. Art done under the new pricing system will be measured and you only get charged based on the actual hours put into the picture itself. If you wish, we can even send you a video of the artistic process :) (Though our drive space is somewhat limited from all the junk I download XD)
I may put up pictures of Einstein and/or videos of him on Youtoob, we'll see.
Now we're going out for some breakfast. Toodles!

Posted 15 years agoSo, after relocating to a tiny apartment where all our stuff is still in storage because there's no place to put it, then getting badly BADLY sunburned because my extremely white, Nordic skin won't let me go into the sun without sustaining second-degree burns in five seconds, we've organised our stuff to the point where I actually have elbow room, and my shoulders are starting to heal.
So, what does this mean? Our survey says...

Relocating

Jinks and me are packing up our life and moving interstate to Sydney.
This involves a lot of packing, but thankfully we don't have much stuff we actually want to keep (the rest goes to Michelle's mum, dad and sister).
There is also a bunch of family staying with us since Christmas until we move, hopefully by the 15th.
On a positive note, Sydney is 1000km away and we need to transport my car, therefore: ROAD TRIP!
This means that although comission slots are still open, actual work on any adult images will be on hiatus until the move is complete and Michelle can get some privacy to work. Non-adult comissions get cutsies until then.
Please comission us, we need the money and every cent helps :3
Rates are changing to $10/half hour, $20 minimum, however keep in mind that final prices can be negotiated based on factors such as complexity and requirements so get in touch with us and help us move to a better place :D

Restarting Commish

Well, school is over.
Jinks and me have been focussing primarily on looking for work and on keeping the comic up to date, however she'll be starting work on Jinxy's commission this afternoon, so it should be up by tomorrow assuming all goes well.

Exams and Delays

Apologies to Jinxy and anyone waiting for slots to open for commissions.
Jinks has been busy with end of school exams/assignments and with the new weekly schedule on the comic.
Rest assured, within 2 weeks the exams will all be done, all the various events that go with it will be over with and Jinks should have plenty of time to work on awesome pictures.
I would also like to announce a future project Jinks has been thinking about: Random short comics, filled with lots of gratuitous activities :D.
In the meantime, Jinks has managed to srape together a few sketches and they will be posted up when they're scanned and ready.

Back in action
Posted 15 years agoWell, it's been a hectic few weeks for Jinks, what with exams and whatnot, but they're over for now and she's back in the game.
I am glad to announce that Jinks has started work on the next sketch and it should be done within a few days (Provided Photoshop decides to behave, of course).
Anyway, I'm re-reading the ever-awesome Bartimaeus trilogy, which I heartily recommend.
