...I'll actually update this page. I suppose I should have more to add on here, but I'm just catching up on life, on the whole. I plan on getting more art soon, though, so I should have something to add on here more than once every year or three. Beyond that? Well, I'm way more active on Twitter, especially on my, ahem, other Twitter. If you want to reach me, that's probably the best way to get in touch. I hope you're all having fun and keeping out of trouble on your end!

Oh, and thanks to all watchers and favorites. I don't wanna spam any pages, so let this serve as a reply to everything!

But really mostly to 2016. I've made a habit of letting things slide, and really for the last year and a half I've been letting this whole furry thing just coast. That's a bad habit, as this community has been a big outlet and source of happiness and friends for me. So working on turning that around a bit. Part of that is going to be reconnecting to people I've lost track of, but part of it's gonna be a bit more obvious.

Big thing, finally feeling that need to dive full on in and get a suit. I'm picking out a few folks to get a proper ref sheet from, along with some other art on the side... but the giant fuzzy animal thing is calling to me, so I figure I might as well answer that call finally. Just figuring out a few possible makers, and hoping to manage to get a slot.

Other than that, I've got to figure out if I want to get back into drawing or writing. Been a bit since I've given either a proper bit of my attention, so it seems like I should get back on that, ASAP.

And oh, the whole in person appearances thing. I'm gonna swing by FC for a day or two, and probably gonna hit up BLFC for the first time this year. Later on, AC, Megaplex, RF, and MFF are all possibilities. Only got so much vacation time to play with this year, but I definitely don't want to let any opportunities go to waste.

What's up with all you?

So it looks like I'm going to be swinging by FC again this year, although it's gonna be a shorter trip than has been the norm, I'll only be around Friday-Sunday. Am I going to be catching any of you animals there? Please feel free to say hi, I'm friendly, if a bit quiet.

Otherwise, gonna try and get back into the art swing again. If any of you have looked at my scraps, you'll know just how far I'd have to go to become even passably decent, but I'd like to at least accomplish something. Otherwise, another year, and looking forward to better and brighter things to come.

So, I did AC this summer. It was a blast, because of the great people I spent it with. You guys know who you all are, and many thanks for all the good memories, and putting up with me.


I'm also doing Rainfurrest this week, first time I've ever been. I've got high hopes.

Oh, also, I'm dating a  Caled, if you haven't been keeping up with the total lack of updates on my life. And I guess it's TMITuesday? So if you've got questions for that.

So, my last journal has been up there for about 9 months now, and that's entirely too long. So let's go ahead and fix that.

Anyway, this year I've already done FC, which went okay, and considered both FWA and BLFC, but couldn't whistle up a group to crash with on short notice. Still, looks like the second half of the year will be where most of the fun's at. I'm planning on both AC and MFF again this year, and I'm planning on adding in RF as well. I'm not sure there's anything else con-wise to even try, so I guess that'll be it for my furry plans for the year. Hope to see at least some of you animals at least at one of those.

Otherwise, just looking forward to AC in a month and a half. How's everyone else doing as summer kicks off?

So, only about a month late, here's my MFF con report.

I can't say that things went quite how I planned, but I met some interesting folks, which was nice, and ran into some old friends as well, which is always good.

For the actual details, well, there were some frustrations, but mostly my fault. I managed to completely fail to get commissions from any of the artists I originally meant to, because I was too slow. Next time? Gotta pounce right away.

Either way, it was fun to meet new folks, and finally get to hang out with old friends in person. I just gotta make sure I stay in touch with folks, and it'll all be for the best.

Maybe next time, I can even do a better job planning, and let half the folks I know from online know that I'm gonna be there. Gets embarrassing when I hear afterwards, "wait, you were there, too?"

Anyway, things are looking iffy for FC, but we'll see what happens, and what the new year brings for cons coming up.

So, yeah. In my scraps I've got a few old pieces of crapart that I put together way back. They're pretty bad, but were at least an improvement over where I started, which was truly awful. Problem is, at some point the whole motivation thing went out the window, and I've stopped practicing since then. I'm kinda curious how other folks manage to keep up the motivation to slowly improve their stuff. For me, the frustration of trying to get something on paper and being unable to manage it tends to prevent me from getting anything done. That said... I think I'm gonna try it again some more. In the meanwhile, more artists need to livestream, so I can stealget some more inspiration.

It's also kinda a pity that traditional artists don't livestream or cast either, as you sorta have to learn to sketch before you can really draw, and I must learn all of their secret techniques. Anyway, end of rant. [/boring]

So, yeah, I did the whole AC bit this year, my first time going. Was definitely an interesting experience, packed with all sorts of people I'd either only briefly talked with online, had only seen art and stuff of, or didn't even know at all. I also got to meet a few folks that I'd been looking forward to, but mostly only at the end of the con, things started out pretty slowly for me.

There were some cool things to see and experience in general, though. The dancing scene was pretty serious this year, and I saw a few different interesting events, from prelims for the fursuit dance, to  last-fur-one and their Floor Wars Dance Battle. Highlight from that side of things was seeing the finals for the Fursuit Dance Competition on the main stage.

Art wise, and yeah, I know I had to get bit by the commission bug, so I got a new badge, and some various sketches here and there. I lack a scanner at the moment, so I don't have anything available for reference, but I'll put 'em up when I get around to it. Props to some of the artists I spoke to, though, as a lot of them were really super nice and friendly, and more than happy to talk about technique and stuff like that. Hopefully that's good motivation for me to actually get back into drawing some, but if you take a look at the stuff I'm uploading into scraps, you'll see how very, very far I have to go to be even decent.

For other stuffs, well, if I go back, I need to make sure I plan things a bit better, and do a more careful job making sure I know where folks are, and to keep in contact with 'em. I'd rather avoid getting stuck with dead days and such, just because I'm good at missing running into folks. Still, some awesome times, and for everyone met there, was great. Instead of a bunch of shoutouts to everything I hung out with, though, I'll probably stick with noting the people in questions, just so I don't feel awful if I accidentally forget anyone.
