Back from vacations!
Posted 7 months agoso i finally am kind of used to fedora linux now!
sai2 does however like to crash a lot and freeze a lot too. (it gives me mini panic attacks when it does so, i dont know if it has an auto save feature but if you know if it has let me know how to use it please ;w; )
i tried to give krita a try but ... i have no patience to learn new things x-x'''
other than troubleshooting everything my vacations went pretty good!
im someone who can't relax even for a second because if i'm not doing something that could potentially bring me money, then i feel im being useless and i stress and i cant do other stuff and it spirals and it gets rough so its hard for me to let myself have a break and some rest , but i did my best at trying to rest!
i went to a cinema to watch the minecraft movie with my family and the bf!
i had a bunch of snacks and grew my colection of kinder animal toys a bit!
i did a bunch of stickers that i would like to sell on fairs (this isnt technically a break since im working??)
and i did a bunch of diamond painting kits i had hoarded for a while now, and i really enjoyed them! (still trying to learn the 'its ok to enjoy things' because i was hoarding them off to tyr and make videos out of them to get money but that day would never come so they were dusty and ahhhhh)
it was nice, i was able to hang out with the bf and family without stressing much about working
but now im back to work!
im a bit rusty but im gonna do my best as always <3 <3
and now im gonna attempt to draw the 151 pokemon! (but i wont say it too loud or else my brain will hear me and procastinate it forever XDDD)
and well, i have not much more to say qwq''
i hope all of you had a nice time while i was gone!

moving to linux! - commissions suspended!

finally i have made the decision to abandon windows.
im genuinelly fed up with evrything they are shoveling in my face, and for some weird ass miracle i got the 'GET WINDOWS 11' screen minimize a game, twice within a minute.. i thought that would never happen. but fuck if i will risk it ever happening again.
with the huge gift a great friend shipped me, i will also learn a new tablet!!!!!
im so glad i can jubilate my old one >w<!!!
and with all the inspiration of moving systems and stuff...
i will try to learn Krita! (not photoshop... or maybe?? if i can sail the seas)
so i will be taking a while until i can make commissions
i will still post doodles and stuff in patreon.
patrons will still get their rewards (in traditional!)
when i get the hand better , i might post some YCHS
and then i will reopen commission once im sure i can do my best again ^w^
also february/march is a good time to take a breather, specially with the heat waves and summer, and stuff catching on fire XD

its finally starting, its one more week away!!
my birthday is on february 9!
i have no idea what we will do for my birthday as i like surprises, but i hope i can buy myself a lot of diamond painting kits and eat at least a bit of cake!

sadly the pen is failing a lot, is not retaining any battery and the traces arent as accurate as before :c
im afraid i might have to start looking into a new tablet
i think i will have to put on hold digital commissions and rewards until i get a new one. after im done with the works i have queued for now, i will change patreon rewards to traditional drawing, i hope all of them alright with it!
if you are an artist, can you recommend me a brand?
if it doesnt use batteries would be awesome! (rechargable pen)
and im looking into possibly one brand of tablet that has a screen on it!

what are your plans + resolutions for next year?
i have some in mind, but they might be a bit winged , still putting them on text might help X3
so i will list them below and go crossing them out as i go achieving them during the year!
it might be a neat idea for you too to try, we can see how many objectives we achieve in 2025!! <3
for next year i want to:
-perhaps study something new or finish secondary
-learn to make incense sticks and sell them
-work on myself, learn some self esteem and learn to love myself as a human bean
-buy a new drawing tablet! (mine is having issues and i think is time to jubilate it ;w;) hybrid gifted me one!
-get some items from my amazon wishlist (amazon ships to Argentina now!!! *0* )
-acquire and grow seamonkeys and triops
-breed cherry shrimp and maybe get some blue ones!
-keep drawing and making a living out of it ~~<3
-spend more time with my family
-actually stick to frutivore diet this summer XD
-meditate
-get a lot of cuddles
-spoil myself a little more uwu'
-try to get a hobby that doesnt necessarily give me monetary gain x-x'

she had lost sight in one eye because she was getting old and got cataracts
she was so beautiful for so many years and the last things she did was bit my finger
i loved her so much its very hard to deal with the death of a pet
i havent been very functional lately
i havent eaten much she died on wednesday
everything sucks.

including artworks from indie artists like me
it sucks
it is currently an option to letting them use your work for training their ai. i have it off for now but apparently from november onwards the option to turn it off will be gone and by default it will be turned on.
it really sucks

i have uploaded a lot of art on twitter.
i think is safe to say is already scrapped and used.

considering the death of win 10 for the end of the year, i have been looking into moving to linux
however the version/s of linux i have tried cannot detect the sensitivity of my tablet
my tablet is a generic ugee brand
and i have had zero luck getting the sensitivity to work with sai/ sai2
i am not eager not very willing to learn krita , as it will take a very long time to learn and be confident enough to do comissions on it
so my question is
which tablet do you use?
what program are you using too?
can your tablet use the sensitivity well?
if you had problems to getting it to work, what worked for you?
any help hints or tips will help greatly <3

the school time will consume almost all my week x-x
worst is that is from really early morning too, and i will only have free the Mondays TT^TT
i got too used to having free years after quitting school, that waking up from stupid early to be busy almost all day is something inhumane for me XD
it will chop down my free time for drawing drastically, i guess is not much change since i wasn't drawing much lately either way ;w;''
commissions might take longer too x-x
i think i bit more than what i can chew this year!
at least i will learn 3d modelling/animation , loom weaving, and possibly finish secondary school (maybe?)
yay for acquiring more useless diplomas!
i will update the week schedule when the loom and secondary schools have a defined schedule
i just wanna be lazy forever and be a potato TT^TT
the school time will consume almost all my week x-x

fascination with microfauna (random hobby talk)

related with the constant loving care i give to my baby lotls, i have been learning a bit more about microscopic life and tiny animals
I'm learning how to set up walstad method fish tanks/jarrariums in an attempt to naturally generate microfauna like copepods and hydras
of course I'm gathering and growing mosses in an attempt to make a successful tardigrade house too
I'm growing isopods because they are absolutely adorable, doing a small experiment on breeding only yellow spotted ones (after managing to successfully maintain a colony for more than a year and have them breed!)
currently I'm trying to also make a batch of brine shrimp (sea monkeys!) in a big tictac container! sadly the eggs are way too old and i think they have gone bad :C
but that won't stop me for trying! i have to figure out how to make a good Seamonkey hatchery and then attempt to move them to the tic tac aquarium
my small walstad aquarium has been growing some aquarium moss along with ground moss (which after careful examination I'm 99% sure they are the same moss! )
and i got gifted a small ramshorn snail, which i noticed can breed excessively with only 1 of them!
so i am turbo hyped, with the idea of eventually breeding snails too, it is a really cool snail it's red and black-ish (i have no idea what to name it! but considering it will breed a lot , maybe it has to be named something that is related with creation of many living things!)
I'm also keeping some death feigning beetles(the ones from here aren't blue but i think if i make a desert like enclosure they might be!)
and monitoring a small colony of rhino beetles outside
hopefully i might be getting some shrimp, the ultimate goal (the main one, before i got sidetracked by investigation and keeping of several bugs) was to raise a nice shrimp colony to keep as feed/cleanup crew for the lotl tanks!
and about the lotls, they are both moved into bigger tanks! limon is still smaller than taco, taco is being MASSIVE!
i am just trough the clouds in happiness with these two miniature dragons!
limon is still passing stones from the breeder's improper substrate even a year after being with a bare bottom tank, but at least he seems to be doing so much better and being active and I just feel like a proud momma

i hung out with family and bf, we went to eat a burger outside and it was so incredibly good! (i think not eating meat 99% of the year, it feels even better to have a birthday burger XD)
i got a new shirt and a pair of shoes, which i absolutely needed , my current pait of shoes was already 3 years old XD
and my bf got me a incredibly cool pond exploration kit! (what? 32 is too old for a pond exploring kit for children? NOPE! im hyped as fuck to go to a river and use it XDD)
i had a really nice birthday, and im very happy for it ^^
and this year i will go to school to learn 3d modelling and animation!
i will go with my brother and hopefully we will learn something useful XD
maybe if i can manage to do something decent i will be posting it here, to give my gallery a bit more life
but real life has been getting me so busy, and i am very glad i can keep myself busy! an idle mind is a sad mind!

beginning of the year

mine was alright, on Christmas we stayed at home and exchanged small gifts with the family and bf
i got a lot of things! i got a pochita plushie, a stack of dinosaur markers, a bag of dinosaurs, and new headphones!
(i have to admit, i love how easy is to get me a gift sometimes, just pick something dinosaur/pokemon related and I'm all happy (hell I'm happy with any gift tbh XD!))
for new year we all went together to the coast on the city, saw the (very red and beautiful) moon and there were a couple of fireworks too (come on city, the amount of fireworks we got when we wont the world cup was far higher than any for new year, put some effort in celebrating! >;v)
and today dia de reyes i got a tiny slime pack!
overall the daze of the holidays went alright, several tough spots (considering I'm off my meds) but we all survived and we had pretty nice moments too!
what about this new year?
for me, I'm between going to a 3d modeling/animating/printing course for the whole year, i got inscribed in a loom course, I've started zumba classes(and hopefully i can keep going to them). and i was considering also going to a ceramics school to learn to make fishtank decorations to make Taco and Limón a tiny manor for each one!
meanwhile, I've been trying to market some origami stuff, i got a stack of paper squares, and i saw that people is selling origami cranes as souvenirs on the internet market we have here, so i thought maybe i could do that too!
the website takes an absurd amount of money tho. if i sell a string of cranes for 1000 pesos, i only get 300 pesos out of my sale, the rest goes to the website and taxes... Man, i really wish we had Etsy!!
but hey! is an income(possibility)! XDD
last year i got my official English title. sadly it's only B1.2 . but by having it, i might be eligible to get in a better course this year and maybe get a better english score this year!
i also got a title in QA testing/assurance, which i am still waiting the diploma from 'constana'
i haven't done much else last year. it was a bit busy with all the courses and school
this year might be even busier, i think is good, if i have no time to idle then i can't have any bad thoughts XD
my commissions will always be open!
i know i have been drawing little to nothing, but i sadly have a quite rough life to deal with most of the time, so it takes away a lot of inspiration and willpower to do anything, especially draw.. it makes me sad since is the main money income i have, but if i am struggling with constant unaliving ideations the last thing i will do is be inspired to suddenly draw a happy picture of some cute furries doing wholesome things X3
i will be trying to make YCHs tho, since they will be rare,i will do my best to do the turbo shading I've been practicing so if someone likes how that pic looks, you can look forward to some YCHs with that shading! (or maybe even better if i can learn to make it right X3)
and hmm what else.. i think i would like to try to learn godot this year, maybe make a casual game, perhaps a solitaire game?

mine was alright, on Christmas we stayed at home and exchanged small gifts with the family and bf
i got a lot of things! i got a pochita plushie, a stack of dinosaur markers, a bag of dinosaurs, and new headphones!
(i have to admit, i love how easy is to get me a gift sometimes, just pick something dinosaur/pokemon related and I'm all happy (hell I'm happy with any gift tbh XD!))

small vertigo update
Posted 2 years agoi got diagnosed with "Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo " i think is the translation
i got told to do some maneuver to try and bring the loose salt from inside the balance-ear-snail
but so far it has only made it all worse, i have to keep trying until it decides to get fixed
i have to admit i have been quite miserable lately
hell if i were drunk or high, the world constantly spinning and splitting headaches would be justified XDDDD
this is kinda rough to deal with :)
i apologize as i am not in the mood to draw, i still have to go back to school. i have no clue how i will keep my balance over shards of glass, i admit it scares me a bit, but the days covered by the doctor notes have ran out, and now I'm on my own on this.
i also have to work to get an English language title, but just the mood to do anything other than laying still in bed are completely gone
at least the last doctor i saw was very very kind with me! he took his time to patiently explain me how the salt thingies work for the human balance and where they are located and where they shouldn't be.
it is incredibly rare to find a nice doctor! it was really cool! ^^
(the other doctor told me I'm inventing my dizziness and i should just take a clonazepam and tough shit, your fault for being mentally ill)

halloween traditional vertigo
Posted 2 years agoso for the last almost 2 weeks i have been dealing with a HORRIBLE amount of vertigo, which literally came out of nowhere
the doctor i went to told me to take a chill pill and tough shit for dealing with it
i also got an order for that magnetic brain scan thing, which i have to wait for until next week, and then try getting a second opinion on this!
i have never had vertigo before ._.
the worst i had was getting dizzy/passing out in bus/car!
but now is all the time everytime all day :'D
so i have to remain in bed, but instead I'm sitting on the PC trying to play static looking games to pass time faster XD
i have been in the mood to doodle things in traditional tho
I'm trying to draw bulborbs from pikmin series, as a small kind of borbtober, and trying to learn how to properly color with pencils and markers
i am posting them on patreon for now, but i will try to do a big collage with all the bulborbs when I'm done.
haven't really been able to draw one per day, but I'm trying my best!
as for hallowen, i have been trying to find spooky games to play!

a bunch of crafting

last time i admitted that gardening was consuming my life, now, that's still a real thing that's happening, but due to winter it got too cold most of the time to be outside. i still go and check my plants, i planted a bunch of chards and they should be ready soon!
so the days i couldn't get outside to check on the plants, i found myself crafting several things
i got a bunch of paper, from the voting bills that litter the city on voting season. so I'm learning to make paper baskets, i finished a big one, its all wonky but it was really neat making it!
so I'm now hoarding paper to make more rolls to make more baskets
at the same time, i expanded my plarn collection (plastic bag yarn) and I'm processing a bunch of bags, i also made some twine with the plastic bags, but making it takes a big toll in my hands, so i rather just do more plarn instead XD
basket making has been really beautiful!
i bet it would be even more beautiful to make baskets with actual basket material
on the glass course, I'm learning to make moulds for other glass pieces, in ceramic, and i think there is a small conspiracy between my family, where they convince me to make a ceramics course next year
for example, my aunt gifted me a pack of ceramic estecas (i think they are sticks with different shapes, not sure of the translation). mom has been showing me videos of ceramic makings, and she and dad gifted me a handmade ceramic mug, remarking how cute ceramic things look and how they could be something i can do to sell
so i guess I'm doing a ceramics course next year XD
why i have been crafting so many things tho?
well, one part of me realized it might be a way to cope with real life
is not an unfounded thought tho, since i realized, whenever i am not doing anything, or idling too much, i get depressed, and lose all willpower to do anything, and so i do nothing, and i get depressed worse, and it spirals down very very fast.
so i have to keep myself doing something with my hands constantly!
i am trying to play some games too, at least to keep me distracted, but the lack of willpower to play anything makes it really hard to do anything that isn't solitaire.
it feels like is all a quest to keep me busy constantly!
at least i know that keeping me entertained helps me deal with life a little bit better.
but that sometimes makes me feel bad, because I'm only doing small useless decorations, and not actually doing something useful, like drawing, it does give a fair share of more reasons to be depressed. everything is very, very hard to deal with... but at least I'm trying!
spring is starting, and you can see it in every plant! and sometimes the warmer days
so its time to start getting ready to go outside and go full on gardening again!
(and brace myself for over 40C days)

gardening has been consuming my life
Posted 2 years agoi have no idea, perhaps all the hobbies of an old lady are finally getting into me? XD
i have been spending a lot of time with the plants, i have planted some foodstuff, i have a box full of carrots growing and several baby chards (to the point i don't have where to place them!)
i know they only require like 1 care per day, but, i just have been found it pretty calming. i can't do more kokedamas as of now since we are getting into the cold days of autumn. so i can only wait until there is sun outside and not too cold and just go out and hang out with the plants and see all the birds and touch grass and all that
and when i get inside, i just feel like getting me a crossword book and filling it up, or maybe doing some embroidery, or perhaps learning cross stitch! or painting the like 4 books of mandala coloring i have!
hell maybe i could even take some time, do my nails and perhaps do some needlefelting
it has been a bit weighing down that since i have been enjoying not being too active on the internet, and only using the PC as a tv of sorts, i might not be providing enough artwork for the internet as i should be. but, somehow this feels right?
of course if i don't stay active and drawing i wont be haveing the money to afford having these hobbies and buying seeds and paying for the oven of the glass school and the materials. so it is a bit of a mixed feeling really.
and the two succulents i got, i have made my own dirt mix for the first time for them! i repotted the bear paw one, and i have still to repot the hawortia, but the next sunny day i might as well do it X3
i don't know what to do tho.. should i keep trying to stay online? or should i let go and keep enjoying old lady hobbies? =T
i am still doodling every now and then on the school doodle book! i should be having a new doodle page for patreon up sometime soon ^^
if there is a doodle that someone wants to see done in digital i will do it, but so far i guess is all just ok as doodle.

what should i focus my art from now on?

it feels like doing both might be interferring a lot with the people who watch/follow me, as people might just unwatch/unfollow when i post something either nsfw or cute.
it is very sad that after i draw either, the first kind of response i get is unwatch/unfollows, i would love to do my best to avoid this

i have been slowly adjusting to my new schedule. i have begun a 'glass fussion' class, and its at hours i am not even used to be awake at X3
there is also a bunch of things going on in my life, besides the usual health issues of me, my father has been in the hospital for a week, his leg has 'rot' a bit after the accident he had i think, a couple of years ago? like 5? i don't quite remember
there is a bunch of depressing and worrying things happening on great grandma's side of the family too
but other than all the crappy stuff. i think i have been alright.
i have been forgetting a bit to draw, i have been doing some random doodles in a sketchbook my mom made and gave to me, i think i am just not very in the mood lately! but i just have to keep trying. i very much appreciate that some of you have the patience to stick around!
