Hurricane relief charity stream.
Posted 8 years agoAs a lot of you know, southern Texas has been devastated by the recent hurricane, and a lot of assistance is needed with the relief efforts. While I can't physically help out, I want to try and raise money to assist with efforts for both the people and the many pets abandoned during the disaster. I'll be streaming at odd times during the next two weeks at https://www.twitch.tv/nightsprinter/ during that time. Any proceeds made from the streams will be donated as evenly as possible to the American Red Cross and Humane Society of America. As there may well be some furs affected by the storm, I do want this to go towards helping them and everyone else affected.
A request of help foe a good friend.
Posted 9 years agoI usually don't ask things like this (if ever), but a good friend of mine has really fallen on hard times, and could use help. He had a great job with good pay annually, but is now beyond struggling. I ask just to go to here if you can help out. https://www.gofundme.com/yw-need-he.....o-keep-my-home
Anyonr made custom arcade stick art?
Posted 9 years agoJust curious, as a while back I got rid of the default art of my MadCatz WWE Brawlstick. Well, am at the point where I can't play anything on PC or 360 without my hands smelling of metal. I just wanna know if there are artists that can make custom art for such a controller (or any stick that uses the SF4 SE body), and how much it would cost.
Firsts.
Posted 13 years agoWell, this weekend concluded a first for a couple things. One being my first time on staff for a convention ever, and my first piece of art that I made and uploaded to FA. It was a challenge being on staff, but the game room definitely saw far more popularity than last year. On top of that, I finished my first ever piece of art and posted it onto FA. It's simple sprite art, but I think this can help with creativity. Having a set colour and resolution limit can help to figure out how to achieve the best results.
I hope to start doing more pixel/sprite art soon, and will be pouring money into making the game room at Megaplex more enjoyable for old and new school gamers.

Sprite art questions from a first-time pixel painter.
Posted 13 years agoHey, got a question for all involved in doing sprite art (and thanks to Gar-YuLong for the pointers so far). I'm looking into starting out with making a few Final Fantasy IV-styled sprites (not up for the detailed ones from the PSP version yet, but still staying in the 32x48 size limit). Right now I'm working between using a special version of a pixel painter called "Grafx2" that has gif animation capabilities, and looking into something else called "Pro Motion 6.5" (which apparently mobile gaming studios like Glu Mobile use for smartphone/tablet games).
My question is this: how would I begin re-working a WIP that I have (which I can post to FA) to better fit in the resolution limit for each?

It is done.
Posted 14 years agoFinally got the surgery on my right ankle again. Four hours after I took a nap at home, I was fully coherent and able to eat proper meals. After the operation, the doctor expected a full recovery. I can defintely agree, as the crippling nerve pain I had is now gone.
I truly look forward to getting back to my old lifestyle!

Freedom!
Posted 15 years agoWell, I finally have a car once more. Now work will be less of a physical hassle for me and I can get errands completed.
Ah, employment.
Posted 15 years agoI don't care if it's at Disney or not, it's great to get back to a job of some kind.
Out of town for a while.
Posted 15 years agoMy granddad isn't doing so well, currently in the hospital on a ventilator. Not going to be online much as things are right now.
I have mobility finally!
Posted 15 years agoA week late, but thanks to some friends that're looking out for me I have a wheelchair now. Now I can at least find something part-time jobwise, and can get around places. This makes for happy-fuzzy.
What a weekend!
Posted 15 years agoOver the weekend I went to a nice little mini fur-con down here in Orlando called "Elliot's Spring Gathering", thanks to a fur in the Navy. Despite my bad foot and leg I got to enjoy a lot of great events, got two nice commissions done, and met several great friends.
The real kicker was after so many years I got to see my horseybro, Flare Starfire, in person again. It was truly the vacation I so desperately needed. I will be doing this event once again, and all the other three Live Events.

A small, but urgent help request.
Posted 15 years agoFor those who know me, you already know my situation. For those who don't, here's the deal:
Back in May of 2008 I busted up my right heel rather badly on the job. Since then, the worker's compensation system has failed to help me left and right. I've received little treatment, and it has done nothing to improve my physical condition and capability. I've tried to hire an attorney to combat the legally-questionable practices of the insurance company handling my claim. Even that has failed.
As a result, I effectively lost my case and have been left unable to really move around. My leg worsens every day, and it's caused me to fear even normal things like standing up and walking. I barely even sleep because I can't sleep on the side of my bad leg. The pain gets so bad many times, I lose my ability to even think until the pain subsides some.
As a result, I'm trying to find a way to get proof that I've never recovered and am being affected in a way that does not allow me to work. Unfortunately given that I'm jobless (employer went bankrupt and closed shop last October), I've no way to afford it. If possible, I only ask for just a small donation as I need to find out what is wrong and try to acquire some kind of mobility (even if it's a used wheelchair form Goodwill). As it is, I'm stuck in my own room and can't even walk with my cane.
If anyone is willing to help, let me know.

Those actually willing to help me.
Posted 15 years agoWell, despite still being physically unable to really walk and worker's comp not helping me I did apply for some kind of assistance. Next week I can start actually acquire food, and soon I should be able to get medical assistance to find out what is wrong with my right leg.
