Hey everyone,

So I'm back to the first place I really felt at home since I left Round Rock years ago. College Station was home at times, but with all the moving it was hard to feel truly settled. I'm going to be visiting my grandmother in Delaware and getting the things I left when I moved to Florida. It's intimidating because I haven't really made what I'd call progress in my life and while I know my family up there doesn't judge so much I am kind of self conscious.

It's strange because I know this will probably be the last time I get to see my grandmother and the first time I'll get to meet my niece.

The weird thing is that despite being nervous and uncertain I feel like this trip is going to inspire me to do some things. I might start writing a little once again. A friend of mine loaned me a camera so I can help him film rocket launches. Since that's at my disposal I might also try my paws at some photography as well, the few test pictures I've taken looked good to me. Going back to school is something else I'm looking in to for the fall semester. I just felt like an update was in order, hopefully I'll be able to see some friends in Delaware as well.

So yeah, it's that day where I level up.

I'm level 34 today which makes me kinda old. I hope everyone out there has an awesome day, I'm gonna work and try not think about how little I seem to have done with my life.

Haven't posted a journal in a while so I figured I would.

So here's the low down on 2014 it kinda sucked. There was some good times, but I lost my job last January and couldn't find anything new most of the year. Did make it to Dragon*con and did a few other things, but spent most the time feeling like I was more of a burden than enjoying myself.

That's the sum up of last year, now on to this year and hopefully better things.

So as of right around Thanksgiving I got a job working at the local gaming club/shop. I started out handling the online card sales through ebay and setting up the back end for other e-commerce. Within' the last week I've been promoted and am now handling the entire online side of the shop and have someone helping me. We're working on becoming a regional organizers for several gaming systems and running the state finals later this year. Provided I can keep on track and stay ahead of the curve things for this year look really good and I might even be helping organize a convention next year. Since we're not focused so much on competing with other shops in the state so much as possibly becoming a network and tying the player bases together it looks like it could be pretty awesome.

Anyway I'll try and post here more often and keep everyone in the loop.

Ok, so since I've been out of work and it's not lookin' to change anytime soon I've decided I need to part with some of my hobby stuff.

I've got some heroclix from the Superman and the Legion of Superheros set as well as the Guardians of the Galaxy Gravity feed. I've also got a small War machine Khador force, battlebox and widow makers. I'd also be willing to part with my Heavy Gear stuff and the battle foam bag but not for less than $300 + shipping.

Ok, I don't post journals often.

Most of the time I just feel that what's goin' on in my life other people just don't wanna know about.

I guess I just want people to know what's going on finally, this could take a while.

I'm gonna start with saying I'm still out of a job, been 20 months now and it's not looking any better at the moment. I'd go back to school, I made a mistake in my past and so I'm ineligible for any form of financial aid. Before anyone asks what I did, please don't it's something dumb and I'd rather just leave it at that. I don't seem to have any truly marketable skills. Seems being 30 and having spent most of your life working in gas stations does not a resume make.

Ok, so now on to things here at home. Well, the weekend before the New Jersey furBQ my uncle got a DUI. It's his 4th, though the last one was about 20 years ago. At the moment since he's paying a good portion of he bills we don't really know what's gonna happen, but we could loose the house. So yeah, tensions are high here in the house. Especially seeing as my grandmother and I are the only ones that seem to be worrying right now.

To top this all off the brakes on my car are gone. Now this could be something simple and easy to fix worst case I'm looking at $150 tops for parts cause I can do all the work myself. I just don't have the money right now. I'm actually trying to sell my space marines to cover it, but no luck so far.

The no job thing is actually effecting my social life as I'm not getting out, mostly because I feel like I'm burden to people when I'm depressed. I've not made a fur bowl or fur meet just because I don't want to be around others right now. The few times I've gotten out have been good for me, though I've cost at least one of my friends some money and I really need to make that up to them.

So I guess basically I'm alive, just not getting out much.

So I attended my second fur meet and first Fur Bowl tonight.

It was amazing!
So many people and new faces. I didn't quite know how to introduce myself to people so probably didn't meet as many furs as I could of, but there's IRC and next month for that. The furs I bowled with were very nice and I saw some great looking fur suits. All in all it was a great meet and I'm looking forward to the next time I'm able to get together with some furs here in The Furst State.

Well like the title says.

Today marks one more year older for me. Not sure how I feel about it, but I'm 31 so young people can't trust me. We'll see how today goes and just keep on keepin' on. Today is just another day after all.
