Ok, I am really wanting to get back into doing art! I have missed being able to color and edit pics while dealing with carpal tunnel. My stitches are finally out, and Im slowing being able to do more and more. My hand still hurts sometimes when I move wrong, and the later in the day it is, the more it is likely to bother me. Stitches just came out a couple of days ago, and that kinda revamped some of the pain. >.<

Anyway, lets move on to what this journal is supposed to be all about. I want to get back into the swing of things, and would like all of you lovely peoples help! I have several Halloween/fall/Thanksgiving themed bases that I am wanting to use. I am offering some free art as I work on getting back into doing art during recovery. Right now, Im wanting to do more basic characters and not more complicated ones. I am going to try to have as much done by Halloween as I can. I will only be working in the mornings and when Im not working. I go back to work on Monday, and wont be doing art on days I work because I dont want to go into work in pain already. There will be a few options to choose from. Everything will be on bases, and I will be choosing what base based on the option you choose. Feel free to choose multiple options to get multiple pieces of art! And please remember, this is being done to help me along in recovery, and I may not get it done by the goal I have set for myself. I just REALLY want to get back into art.

Option 1: Halloween themed character! I will create a Halloween themed character for you. I will accept prompts and suggestions. I have a couple bases to use for this, so lots of options. Gender is your choice.

Option 2: Halloween themed art! You give me a character of yours, and I will choose a Halloween base to use. One is NSFW, so I would need to know if that is ok.

Option 3: Fall/Thanksgiving themed art! Same as Halloween themed, but with fall or Thanksgiving theme instead.

Option 4: Grab bag! This means you give me a character and I choose which base to put it on, no matter the theme! I would need to know if NSFW is fine for this option as well.

Hey everyone. I know it may seem like Im not around, but Im always checking in here every couple of days. Im just not very active on things right now. A lot has been going on for me over the last year or so, and things got real hectic with my kids for a while there. I dont do as much on here right now because when I look at all the awesome art stuff available, be it adopts, ych, commission openings, I get frustrated I cant get the stuff I really want to. And I havnt been able to do art myself for a long time now, even though I really want to. I have been struggling with carpal tunnel for over a year now, and its just been getting worse. I actually have surgery next week, and am hoping to be able to be back to arting by November. I might be posting a journal in the coming weeks about Inktober. My middle daughter has been doing it the last couple of years, and absolutely loves it. I havnt talked to her about if she is still doing it this year or not. She always does her art for free, but does take donations for anyone kind enough to do so. Well, I just found out about NaNoWriMo, which stands for National Novel Writing Month. I think it is a very interesting idea, and have been looking for a way to get back into writing. My daughter has really inspired me with her push on Inktober, so now its my turn to give a push on my writing.

Im not ready to jump in and do a whole novel this month, since I havnt writting anything in a long time. So, instead Im going to take NaNiWriMo and combine it with Inktober. I will write a 1-3 page story each day. I would love to write stories for my watchers, so I am going to offer up a free story for anyone who wants to sign up for it. Keep in mind that these will be short stories when giving your ideas.

For days that are not taken when I get to them, I will be working on a much longer piece till it is finished. I will also do stories for myself on these days. Im gonna be away for a while, and I dont know how long. Ive been dealing with depression the last few weeks as I deal with my dads health. Things are only getting worse, so Im going to be away from FA for a while. I wil still be available through Skype and Telegram. I go by Shaiyla or Shaiyla Fleetpaw on both.

Whats going on: A few weeks ago, my dad found out that he has testicular cancer. It was fast growing, and so they got him into surgery rather quickly. His surgery was a few weeks ago. On the 21st, he went back to the dr and found out they were not able to get all the cancer, and it had gotten in his blood stream. Just this past Wednesday, he was informed that the type of cancer he has is very aggressive, and highly resistant to chemotherapy. I just found all of this today, just a little bit ago. They are still going to get him started on chemo to see what they can do with it. On the 19th, they will be doing more testing to find out how far the cancer has spread. The news from this will determine how my birthday, which is the 21st, will go. This is a very emotional time for me and my family.

I will probably be doing a lot of art off of bases since coloring is a way for me to get to relax. If anyone wants anything, just ask. I cant ever get commissions really, and cant sell what I have made, so I might as well do requests so I can at least be doing something. I am so sick and tired of getting hurt, or having something wrong with me. I need to be put in a bubble and stay there. I have been dealing with several medical issues over the last few years. In the last few years, I think I have managed to not have something wrong with me for only a week or two before something else came up. I lasted 3 months this time. I had an abbesses tooth back in January I had to get removed, and then nothing till this past Tuesday. I have now been dealing with a sprained knee and elbow, on opposite sides of my body, and my knee is pretty tore up. Im having to do this one handed because I cant bend my left elbow because its wrapped up. >.< So, this means Im layed up for a bit. I would love to do art for people while I cant really get around. Because I know its gonna be asked, I will explain how I hurt myself. My friend and I took her dog to the park before she had to go to work. When we left, she put her phone on top of my car. When I pulled out onto a busy road, her phone fell off the car. After turning around and parking back at the park, I ran out into the road to get her phone. Even with the arthritis in my knee, I am faster than she is. I lost my balance as I ran back to the sidewalk. I fell and landed knee first onto the sidewalk. My elbow hit just after my knee did. Thankfully my friends phone wasnt broken, so she was able to call for an ambulance to come pick me up. With the crack I heard when I hit the ground, I was sure something was broken. But, it is just a bad sprain, and all tore up.

So, if anyone wants to buy anything from me to help me take up time while Im stuck not able to do much, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, this week has totally sucked. On Saturday, I woke up with the right side of my face swollen and in pain. My oldest and I had done a sleep over thing through Girl Scouts, so I was lucky that someone there had ibuprofen, and we had access to an ice pack. Over the mext few days, the swelling got worse. Once the swelling seemed to start getting a little better, the pain got worse. Yesterday I went to the dentist to see if we couldnt find out what is going on. Seems my mail man didnt do his job when I sent in paper work for my insurance, so I no longer have medical insurance. My dentist wouldnt even see me because the cost would be so high. It would have been $40 for just the visit, nothing else included. So, they recommended I go to the er, which I did right away. At the er, they checked me out and said that I have an apses above the roots of one of my teeth. They poked and proded to see if there was a way to drain any of the apses, but couldnt see a way to do it. So, they gave me pain meds and an antibiotic to help me out till I could get into someone. They were able to give me a referal to a place that would take care of me even with no insurance. I have to drive an hour away to pay an estimated $180 to get this taken care of. I wish I could wait till I have insurance going again, but I cant. I have been in way too much pain to put it off any longer. I woke up this morning to having my cheek so swollen that I could hardly open my eye.

I am taking commissions and donations to help with the cost for getting the tooth pulled, as well as the $73 it cost to get all the meds they perscribed me. My mom has had to pay for everything so far, and will be paying for my visit today. I am still job searching, so the only income I have is from here. Any help is appreciated. I know I dont have everything on my price sheet, and doing just this is hard enough today. My eye still is having problems being open. I will finally be posting stuff tonight. Between being rather busy during the holiday season and battling bad depression, I havnt gotten anything posted. I have many things to post, so there will be a lot coming from me. Im still battling depression and am still rather busy, but Im going to get things posted tonight. Dont bother asking what is wrong because I dont want to talk about it. Its personal. I am working through it, and will be fine. My kids are about all I have been able to concentrate on, so I havnt even been on my phone very much.

I want to color and do things for people, but cant get any commissions, so Im thinking of just closing them for good. I have a couple of new bases I was able to get for Christmas, but I doubt I will be able to do much of anything on them. Color commissions are the only way I have any money while Im looking for a job. And coloring is a way for me to relax and calm my life after my kids are in bed. I get joy out of doing art for others. It may be on a base, but it is still a lot of work. I make a lot of edits on things and put a lot of detail into the coloring I do. A lot of thought goes into the work that I do. So if you are ever interested, just ask. Or dont. Its just whatever anymore.

I have been super busy lately, but have had time to get all the art I needed to done. I will be posting art work tomorrow afternoon. All trades, requests, secret santa, and gifts will be put up. The items that I have done for requests will be posted on toyhouse so that they can still be a surprise for the person getting the gift in the end. So, look forward to a lot of art tomorrow!
