To my skype friends
Posted 8 years agoJust wanted to let you guys know that my phone will no longer be able to run the skype messenger after the start of July. I know we haven't been talking much lately but I just wanted to let you all know that I won't be able to use it anymore. I still check this site daily if you ever want to chat. I also plan on posting more in the near future. Hope everyone is doing alright!
It's about time I make a demo
Posted 9 years agoAfter quitting one of my bands because of creative difference and my other bands showing a lack of interest I think its time for me to focus on my solo efforts. I would like to start production on a five song demo CD. All the songs will be written, produced, recorded, and mixed by me from the comfort of mom and dad's basement because I have no friends outside of the internet! (IcyKat, you are more then a friend, Love you dear XD). So for me to do this I call upon my fuzzy, scaly, feathered, and other worldly friends for their opinions!
As some of you know, I share my rough recordings of my song here on Fur Affinity. All I ask of you, if you have the time of course, is to give those rough tracks a listen for me and if you like any them to give them a favorite.
On the first of November the five songs with the most favs will be fully recorded and mixed to the best of my ability and will be avalable online.
Any songs I post after this journal is posted will count as potentual demo tracks.
Any favs on my cover songs are greatly appreciated but because of copyright and a licensing process I don't fully understand, I cannot use them.
If you read this far thank you very much and thanks to anyone who takes time out of their busy life to listen to this no named dog's music!

No Excuses (Full Cover)
Posted 9 years agoHey everybody! I've ben working with my new interface which will allow me to make more detailed recordings. I have tested this with a cover of Alice In Chains' "No Excuses" in which I play all the instrument and harmonize the vocals with myself XD

1. What's your real name?
I have always been refered to as Shakes.
2. Why are you named that?
It is taken from the song "Shakermaker" by Oasis. The song strongly shaped my musical style and image.
3. Single or taken?

4. Any abilities or powers?
Nothing special, I just like to sing and play the guitar.
5. Favourite food?
Chinese: I feel fancy when I use chop sticks XD

Brown

Dark Brown, somtimes thought to be black.
8. Any family?
No: My past is fuzzy, I don't remember anything before adulthood.

Low: I live with my friend/drummer Sean and we split the rent. I work at a coffee house in the morning and we play at night along with our bassist Alice for extra cash.

Less then Ten: I know a lot of people, but I only have that small group I can really bond with.
28. What's your thoughts on pie?
I'm no good at math.
29. Favourite hobby?
Outside of music, I like to draw at night while listening to soft jams.

The lake

I am just as interested in Icy as I was the day I met her.

In either case I would be in the water because my boat is sinking and I'm desperately swimming to shore. There is... stuff in the water I don't want to find.

Posted 9 years agoI'm officially back from vacation! Well I've been back for a few days but i didn't have the time to make it known. I had a fun week down in Florida and I am now ready to work harder then ever!

Posted 10 years agoHey everybody, as you know I have not been super active as of late. Work and a school have been kicking my butt, however thanks to American overeating day I get a four day weekend which I will use for rocking and drawing! Tonight is also my first night as a karaoke DJ! I hope you guys are all well! ^^
