I'm sorry to all that have come and watched me over the last year (bless your hearts!) it's just been super hard for me to kick start myself to all the levels of Social Media and networking places, life has been insane, some bouts of depression also don't help either.
This is not a full announcement that I'm back, but I'm hoping to take the steps. Over time I will start posting some art and projects, and maybe start taking commissions again (I really miss arting, all sorts ;-;)
There is some exciting things coming down the pike though, but one step at a time right?
So, how has everyone been? What the hell did I miss o.o

Posted 11 years agoHey yall! So I'm trying to get myself back over in here and being active again, but it's been hard for a number of things. XP
(No, I did not die, I'm not dead, though there are days I feel like I want to.)
So, as title says, I'm going to be taking some commissions real soon!
The short: Cassie's back/neck went to poop, got chiro bills+rent to work out!
This is mainly for digital art slots, but I also need to start focusing on getting Christmas plush orders set up! So I might take a few as well.
But here is the deals as to why I'm here suddenly:
Recently I've been having major back and neck issues, the neck is the current one I'm getting treated for. BUT not only have I been put behind by several weeks just from the pain (when my back went out I was stuck just laying on the floor for 3 days crocheting to keep sane!) but now the Chiropractor bills are kind of in my vision making me go :| 8c X'C
My goal is to make at least an extra $300, maybe more, in the form of either a couple large digital commissions (starting at $100) or a bunch of smaller ones, like icons, badges and busts (roughly $30-60.) Also, I start apartment sitting the 16th for a week and plan to take my computer because sewing won't happen.
Mainly I'm just giving people a heads up, trying to see who might be interested and for what price ranges so I can define my limited number of slots by next week and start the commissions going.
Also for the week I'm gone I might try streaming, like all day streams, as long as my friends' internet likes me as well as my comp. :p
I'll also get heavy into talk about custom plush work, but my prices for customs is going up, and so I need to figure out all those fun details.
Q: "Hey, if your neck and back are bothering you, how is that going to effect commissions?"
A: By the power of Ibuprofen I will get art done. Plush work is another matter. (Oh Lord I hope their chars like me... oh man...)
Seriously though, if I find the misfortune to not get commissions done within that week because of back agro, I'll refund commissions if there is any concern.
Q: "Badges, are they just digital or are you going to mail them out?"
A: I prefer digital, but I can't do any printing/mailing until I get back home on the 25th anyway. If you want a physical badge of XbyX size we can talk still on what extra effort/$$ involved in that.
Q: "Did you say you crochet?"
A: Yes! I started it up again for the last year, mainly just so I can have something to fidget with while listening. So far it's just scarves and granny-squares for larger projects, I've done a few hats for friends. But I've been stocking up on yarn and plan to reopen my etsy shop to maybe sell bags, and make special ones just for fursuit use! I'm even working on paw-print pattern squares and rounds and fun things just for it!
I don't have an idea on pricing yet, and as much as would love to drop all I'm doing to play around in making final prototypes all day, I cant. This journal is taking more time then intended XP

Yes, yes I did.
So yeah, commissions coming, start raising hands/paws if interested and let me know your budget so I can plan out my slot limits.

But I'll be posting things over there in addition, and maybe different things (comics perhaps? I like their folder/tag system, makes things cleaner) just so those that use both aren't seeing the same stuff over and over :P

Extream Spring Cleaning in January sale!
Posted 12 years agoHey guys! So every one laughs at me when I say I'm doing spring cleaning, cause it's only January, but what ever that's what I'm doing!
And amongst the stuff I'm going through, I'm finding there is many products I normally have tried to sell in the past and I just want them gone! It's a new year and I want to have new stuff or loose 'weight' so to speak with it come to supplies and merchandize, so here's what I'm doing.
SUPER SALE!
Not only is everything under $3usd, super cheap shipping, but if you buy two you get one free. No joke! Every thing is buy two, get one free for each category.
Starting off with Charms$4 $2

Charms are double sided, in full color, and laminated in 7-10mil hot lamination, making them super strong. The straps vary in color, some have the original braided ones like in the image, most have simple loop lariats. Good for phones, keys, ziper pulls or anything else you can loop the strap around.
I really enjoy charms, and they are super fun to design, but not only do I have a ton, but they are time consuming to make because I have to print both sides with them lining up just right, cut them out one by one with a exact-o knife, then laiminat them and cut them out again. I'm done, they are super fun, but I just don't have the space at cons anymore nor do they sell often enough. I have very limited numbers of most of them. I'll be taking count after a while to say what I have X left of for each one. I do know that I only have remaining:

Some, like the ponies, were made just for bookmarks, some cropped artwork. Bookmarks are pretty and under used anymore with the use of digital books. I don't have to many anymore, and the only way to get artwork of the redpanda girl (A4) is via bookmark now.
Bookmarks are printed on one side in full color, back has the title and my name, laminated in a light weight hot lamination and corners clipped
And last (for now) 8.5x11in prints$10 $3

Who doesn't like prints? But I have decided to stick with just 11x17 for cons now, and want what I have in stock for 8.5x11 prints to go byebye! I have only a few prints left in some of the more popular images. Some of these images are 8.5x11 only too

Shipping will be calculated once you place an order and verified before any invoices sent, but it's as low as .50c for something like charms, and should not be more then $3 for prints.
I will ship international too, but those prices will vary greatly so we'll have to see for you, I can't see it being to much more for such small items.
Orders are first come, I'm starting here on FAand will likely do this over on DA when I get back you got competition now!

January News
Posted 12 years agoNot a whole lot to report at the moment.
For those in the SoCal area, I was at ALA last weekend, had lots of fun and saw quite a few people I knew! But now that that's over, I'm working on some back logged stuff.
NO I will not be at FC this year :< Damn it, someone tell me when Dealers reg goes up next time!!! And maybe some consistency year to year?
I have 7 MTG LifeCounters left over from the con that I'll be taking pictures of soon (waiting on camera to charge actually) and posting up for sale, so keep your little nerdy eyes pealed!
I also have a ton of eeveelution plushies. Please, go buy one in my shop, they are crying from with in the suitcase right now but I don't have room to let them roam about... and I think Sylveon is- never mind...
And those that have been wanting and asking about custom plush designs, yes, I do keep putting off my reply, but I'm actually going through notes and messages this afternoon, because it's needs to get done! So, soon my precious'es, soooooon...
I have also started using acrylics again. Mainly for a project for a friend, but went and bought some canvas boards to do some personal projects with. Cause why let new good paint rot? #artshowfodder
Watercolors are also in the list, and maybe markers. Cause I have way to much good and expensive traditional mediums sitting around ;-;
Also, Friday Livestreams should start up again! I'll likely stream this Friday me finishing up the details on a project for a friend with Acrylics. Live streams are Fridays starting around 10am PST and go till around 3pm. Sometimes longer if I'm not getting picked up to do Friday things.
Legends of Tenarka, some of you are following and asking "when does it start up again?" answer is, "not sure, but hopefully soon!" I have to get back into a schedule on story/art, I'm also making things more pro by making actual character sheets for cast, guests and just cause it's good practice. Soon... REAL soon! I'll make an announcement when the next page goes up!

Happy New Year! (a recap of 2013)
Posted 12 years agoI am currently writing from a apartment sitting job, having some time away from everything. It's been quite a interesting year for me, with lots of learning and interesting events, I don't even know where to start!
2013 was both a good and down year for me. Filled with lots of new friends, lots of fun events, and large down points.
The biggest events that happened was my summer of conventions and my roommates moving out! And anyone that knows me well enough, or just payed attention to my complaints about my personal life know, the roommates moving out was a huge and wonderful thing.
Back in October 2010 I moved moved into a house with 3 other people, people a wonderful friend of mine knew, and it started off great! A single lady(who's parents owned the house,) and a married couple who I'll refer to as Fishy(wife) and Yettie(husband) But my one to-be roommate commented about the couple: "I warn you, they are crazy." And I just laughed it off, cause who doesn't have their quarks?
Little did I know the amount of insanity that was to ensue.
I could go onto a 6 page rant about all the BS I put up with them, but I'll spare you all, just know it was horrible. I had reservations on moving in with a couple in the first place, but my long time friend knew them well, they seemed nice, and the current place I was in was not safe, do to one man, and rent was going up.
A few months later, Fishy and Yettie found out they were pregnant, and well, YAY! But between me not signing up to live with a baby (I do LOVE kids and babies, but they had the room right next to mine,) and the fact that these two as parents was a scary thing! I had plotted to start looking to move out soon after. Because I knew my life was going to be hell if I stayed there, even that early on. They were not going to move, they loved living with people and were not even going to consider the fact they were now starting a family.
But, some how, even though I kept this to myself, even away from my third roommate who IS awesome, the landlords some how found out, and I was assured that things were going to be taken care of. Let me state real quick, my landlords are the most WONDERFUL people in the world! If I can't pay rent, I just talk to them ahead of time to let them know I have only half the rent but expect to get more later, and they just tell me to catch up next month! ;-;
Turns out the couple were horrible tenants, in the fact that they never paid on time, lied saying they paid, or would write bouncing checks with out saying "can you wait till this day to cash it?" The landlords just want us to talk to them, but they refused to call for what ever reason, they always sent messages through my other roommate, who was getting quite fed up with it all. And not to mention, aside from being bad at paying, they took over the house as if it was theirs and did some really bad damage to the property.
But it took the landlords almost 2 years to get them kicked out, between "we are having a baby" "I'm trying to finish my credential so I can get a full time job!" and some other BS, the landlords were almost to nice. But here I was, I knew what was what coming down the bend, I originally was going to move out but because I knew they were going to be going at some point, I said "I can wait this out."
I put up with a lot of stress and BS, down to the point of "we are having a baby, but you have never had any vaccinations, we need you to get vaccinations, and you are a f*cking baby killer if you don't." I waited it out, and kept my self in a professional way to keep everything civil, cause there is no point in making hell worse. In fact, the whole time they some how did not know I did not like them, they asked me to move out with them (AHAHAHAHAHA! no)
Finally this year, in March, almost 2 years later, they handed them a official 60 day notice with no go backs, the two of them acted all shocked, as if they didn't even know there was anything wrong (they lived in total denial that their shit smelled,) and a whole new slew of drama started.
But, they were gone at the end of May! HORAY! This is a huge thing, I swear, me and my awesome roommate never felt more at home and relieved. And with them gone, the landlords were free to do improvements on the house, so that was interesting to deal with, but also a HUGE blessing.
But there was more then the roommates this year. I also had a really busy season for conventions!
Aside from dealing with the drama that started in March, April was my 30th b-day, but there was no way I was going to do anything with them around, I had decided that months before, but also, in May I had 3 cons back to back. Anime Central in Chicago, IL; Fanime in San Jose, and Califur in Irvine. So that was when I dropped off the net. I was busy, for almost two months in prep for these three cons. Not to mention, after I finished all that at the start of June, but I had to get ready for Anime Expo!
So that is why I dropped off the net. I was just to busy to even reply to emails, and come being done with AX, I just was like "I'm done! yeah! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" And it got hard to get back into the internet thing from stopping for so long! And so I apologize to you all, some of you thought I was dead! D:
Aside from the drama of all that, I made some great friends! Quite a few at cons, as well as a wonderful group of people over at Minelord.com! A bunch of intellectual people, really nice and over all a core group that I don't know what I would do with out!
If you like minecraft, and want to join a server, you really should check us out! You have to submit a application to get white listed to join the server, but every one is real nice, and I'm a mod there now. Just tell them Kooz sent ya!
I also got to work hands on with one guy in making a simple program for keeping track of tracking numbers for the post and other delivery services! With all the orders I shipped out, and also receive, I was really wanting some simple application to have open on my desktop so that I could keep track of who I shipped to and the tracking. And so I got MoomooHK to write me a simple program to do what I wanted! It was great fun working on, and testing, and you can check it out too!

I tell ya, I love this thing, and we'll be working on it more to improve it! But for now, it's exactly what I need.
The last part of the year has been a bit of a downer for me though, after all the rush of cons, I was just burnt out, and as said, it was hard to get back into the swing of things. I've also been a bit depressed I guess, just not motivated to do much of anything. The time with family for Thanksgiving and Christmas was wonderful though! And I feel so blessed to have people in my life.
Well, today is the last day of 2013, and although there is much to look back on, there is a whole year to look towards! For 2014, things are to change! I'll be back online and I'll be sure to persist through the con season this time! I'll be back to doing art every day, and opening up for commissions again! For most of 2013 I was taking commissions at cons only, because of the stack of stuff I had to do, but in the end, that hurt me a lot, and made many non-con-goers sad, and I don't want sad fans :< I need to get a handle on life again if I'm to continue doing this full time, so help me out people! Start asking for art! =D
I don't believe in doing resolutions, but I think after this last year, I need to set up a few goals for myself. So, here is to 2014:
*Art, art, and an more art
*Comics, I have 2 I want to keep up doing
*New plushie designs and original work
*Even MORE conventions!
*Keep up with the internet
*Less tumblr
*Continue to be strong me

But, some how, even though I kept this to myself, even away from my third roommate who IS awesome, the landlords some how found out, and I was assured that things were going to be taken care of. Let me state real quick, my landlords are the most WONDERFUL people in the world! If I can't pay rent, I just talk to them ahead of time to let them know I have only half the rent but expect to get more later, and they just tell me to catch up next month! ;-;
Turns out the couple were horrible tenants, in the fact that they never paid on time, lied saying they paid, or would write bouncing checks with out saying "can you wait till this day to cash it?" The landlords just want us to talk to them, but they refused to call for what ever reason, they always sent messages through my other roommate, who was getting quite fed up with it all. And not to mention, aside from being bad at paying, they took over the house as if it was theirs and did some really bad damage to the property.
But it took the landlords almost 2 years to get them kicked out, between "we are having a baby" "I'm trying to finish my credential so I can get a full time job!" and some other BS, the landlords were almost to nice. But here I was, I knew what was what coming down the bend, I originally was going to move out but because I knew they were going to be going at some point, I said "I can wait this out."
I put up with a lot of stress and BS, down to the point of "we are having a baby, but you have never had any vaccinations, we need you to get vaccinations, and you are a f*cking baby killer if you don't." I waited it out, and kept my self in a professional way to keep everything civil, cause there is no point in making hell worse. In fact, the whole time they some how did not know I did not like them, they asked me to move out with them (AHAHAHAHAHA! no)
Finally this year, in March, almost 2 years later, they handed them a official 60 day notice with no go backs, the two of them acted all shocked, as if they didn't even know there was anything wrong (they lived in total denial that their shit smelled,) and a whole new slew of drama started.
But, they were gone at the end of May! HORAY! This is a huge thing, I swear, me and my awesome roommate never felt more at home and relieved. And with them gone, the landlords were free to do improvements on the house, so that was interesting to deal with, but also a HUGE blessing.
But there was more then the roommates this year. I also had a really busy season for conventions!
Aside from dealing with the drama that started in March, April was my 30th b-day, but there was no way I was going to do anything with them around, I had decided that months before, but also, in May I had 3 cons back to back. Anime Central in Chicago, IL; Fanime in San Jose, and Califur in Irvine. So that was when I dropped off the net. I was busy, for almost two months in prep for these three cons. Not to mention, after I finished all that at the start of June, but I had to get ready for Anime Expo!
So that is why I dropped off the net. I was just to busy to even reply to emails, and come being done with AX, I just was like "I'm done! yeah! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" And it got hard to get back into the internet thing from stopping for so long! And so I apologize to you all, some of you thought I was dead! D:
Aside from the drama of all that, I made some great friends! Quite a few at cons, as well as a wonderful group of people over at Minelord.com! A bunch of intellectual people, really nice and over all a core group that I don't know what I would do with out!
If you like minecraft, and want to join a server, you really should check us out! You have to submit a application to get white listed to join the server, but every one is real nice, and I'm a mod there now. Just tell them Kooz sent ya!
I also got to work hands on with one guy in making a simple program for keeping track of tracking numbers for the post and other delivery services! With all the orders I shipped out, and also receive, I was really wanting some simple application to have open on my desktop so that I could keep track of who I shipped to and the tracking. And so I got MoomooHK to write me a simple program to do what I wanted! It was great fun working on, and testing, and you can check it out too!

I tell ya, I love this thing, and we'll be working on it more to improve it! But for now, it's exactly what I need.
The last part of the year has been a bit of a downer for me though, after all the rush of cons, I was just burnt out, and as said, it was hard to get back into the swing of things. I've also been a bit depressed I guess, just not motivated to do much of anything. The time with family for Thanksgiving and Christmas was wonderful though! And I feel so blessed to have people in my life.
Well, today is the last day of 2013, and although there is much to look back on, there is a whole year to look towards! For 2014, things are to change! I'll be back online and I'll be sure to persist through the con season this time! I'll be back to doing art every day, and opening up for commissions again! For most of 2013 I was taking commissions at cons only, because of the stack of stuff I had to do, but in the end, that hurt me a lot, and made many non-con-goers sad, and I don't want sad fans :< I need to get a handle on life again if I'm to continue doing this full time, so help me out people! Start asking for art! =D
I don't believe in doing resolutions, but I think after this last year, I need to set up a few goals for myself. So, here is to 2014:
*Art, art, and an more art
*Comics, I have 2 I want to keep up doing
*New plushie designs and original work
*Even MORE conventions!
*Keep up with the internet
*Less tumblr
*Continue to be strong me

Posted 12 years agoGreetings every one! 2013 has been a super busy and off year for me, and so I apologize for not being around. Many have you have sent me notes and emails inquiring about getting a plush and other work from me, and it touches my heart to know you guys care and like my work!
It's just been hard for me to keep up with anything, I've hardly even touched the messages (I'm sorry to leave you hanging,) and I've failed to even update most of the time. But things are soon to change.
As the months creep by, I realized Christmas is right around the corner, and seeing as this is normally the time people want plush the most, I've been trying to set my mind to get back into the game! So I'm pleased to announce I am open for plush commissions again, and plotting to be ready for Christmas!
At this point in time I can not take any customs like fursonas, not complicated ones anyway. But I am open to do any and all my pokemon plush, as well as custom loftwings! And maybe a few variants based off similar body patterns of plush I already have.
The list includes:
Loftwing, Houndoom, Growlithe, Arcanine, Eevee, Umbreon, Espeon, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Leafeon, Bidoof, Meowth, Persian, Lanturn, Cyndaquil, Quilava, Typhlosion, Snorlax, Garchomp, Vulpix, Drifloon, Gengar, Luxio, and a few others I can't even think of! (I have plans to do Absol soon)

The deadline for getting a plush order in is November 18th. After that, you may be limited to what is available on my storenvy shop (if anything is left.) Plush orders can be done one of two ways:
Buy directly through Storenvy or email me with the title "Christmas Plush Order"
PLEASE! No Notes, they will be lost and/or ignored!!!
You do have the option of payment plans with the plush if you place your order before November 8th by paying 50% now, and the last 50% 2 weeks before Christmas.
All plush will be shipped in time for Christmas! I push to get all shipments mailed out so they arrive at their destinations by December 21st.
Shipping will be via USPS Priority, this is a bit more expensive this time of year, but insured you get your order in time!
If you wish to get something other then a plush for someone special this Christmas, I also have prints and buttons (as well as a few other things) in my storenvy! So do check that out too!
Something extra to note:

New watchers and other (lengthly) news...
Posted 13 years agoWanted to give out a large thank you to my new watchers! it makes me so happy to know people enjoy my art, be it the plush, MtG Lifecounters or my actual drawings and want to keep up to date! Sadly it's been months since I did this, so this huge thank you goes to everyone who watches and is still active! *huge fluffy hug!*
Woof, I gave that quick FC report on Monday via my phone, and I really should add more to it or give a more detailed one, but I have a lot of work ahead of me that's looming and taking all my brain power to keep track of.
I have a good number of take home commissions for badges and other art pieces from FC which I will be working on over the coming weeks! Also, I've plotted out my new plush orders and goals!
So, lets see what announcements I want to make!
Legends of Tenarka: Conflicts, my web comic, is now at 12 weeks! Sadly it should be 13, but I missed this weeks update cause of FC, and rather then trying to rush one, I'm going to hold off and continue the weekly update next Wednesday.

I have a long line of people that are on a wait list for custom plush orders, and I want to acknowledge these kind souls that are waiting for me to say "I'm ready." So this means I am not taking any new orders at this time. I use to say "hey, you can contact me and we can work on quotes!" but I have to amend this.
For right now, I have decided that I am limiting plush orders to a monthly quota of up to two custom sona's a month, and how ever many I can manage of my popular pokemon plush. Pokemon plush orders can be made in the coming weeks on my store! This means you don't have to contact me to place an order for Houndoom, you just click that shiny button, fill out your info and pay! You are instantly added to the queue, and with in 1-4 weeks, your plush is shipped out! Details for all of that are still in the works, but I will make a big announcement when I open plush slots!
For the custom Sona's, I will be working with the people on my immediate waitlist (which is closed,) and try and tackle those as I can per month. Reason for limiting is customs take a lot of work, and more and more lately are less fun for me. I want to keep up my quality I offer for all plush, and so I want to not feel grumpy while working on them (which can lead to cutting corners.) Once I get my waitlist all figured out and depleted, I will announce when I am willing to take more. Right now, catching me at a convention maybe the only way to get a custom sona.
I'm also doing this so that I can feel like I can make new patterns, and even fun plush for artshows, more often then before!
SPEAKING OF PATTERNS! Ponies, Furret, Gengar and Absol are in the works!

and his friend on our traintrip home, chatting the time away as we all travel back to LA.
FC was wonderful, had a really good time in the Dealers, and glad people enjoyed my Zelda prints I had up rather then lynching me for humans on display! Sadly I was so busy doing sales and commissions I never even got to go around the dealers :<
I roomed with my bud
and a few other people (whom I'll link to later,) and got seated in the corner with 
who is a really awesome person! Was a pleasure meeting her and admiring her art all weekend.

So yesterday around noon I'm on my computer, about to go and cut out some plush to have ready for the con when I see ArcticBlaze's status is set to leaving for FC. It was at that moment I realised, for the last 2 months, my brain and calander had been set for the 25th, not 18th...
Soooo... I got my train ticket changed and ran around the house in a crazy panic to pack everything!
Somuch for a nice plushy pile, new charms and other prep stuff! But oh well, atleast I'm not missing the con! XD
Now time to get ready for a 10 hour train trip with my buddys Professor Layton and sketchbook.

Forks and soda cans don't mix
Posted 13 years agoHey all! I'm kind of here! And had a wonderful 3 weeks away from home!
Been MIA for awhile because of all the Christmas orders I had to finish back in December, then I was house sitting, THEN I was doing last min con prep for Anime LA.
Now that that is all over, I've been taking it easy the last few days, doing button restocking, seeing how many prints I have left and laundry.
Oh, and to explain the title, one day during ALA I had an accident in my lunch bag... Not only is the bag going into the wash now, but so is my old backpack (thankfully, this is an OLD backpack that may not survive the wash anyway XD )
Anyway, in the mix of all this, I'm prepping for FC! WHOOHOO! But I came to a slight problem: How much to take?
I'm taking the train, and after the last two cons where I had to travel by suitcase and not large bin, I'm deciding to take less then normal to save my self the pain.
But how much is enough?
I plan on doing a limited number of commissions at con, so art stuff is going, but I have prints and buttons that people seem to love, and I hope to have a few plushies in tow.
But issues is, prints and buttons are HEAVY when you have a lot, and even though I had numbers on how much to take in my head, I want to see if anyone wants to say "make sure you have X, X and X for me at con!"
I'm mainly worried about having enough MLP, Adventure Time and LoL buttons sets for you guys, hehehe. And other things too.

Oh, and to explain the title, one day during ALA I had an accident in my lunch bag... Not only is the bag going into the wash now, but so is my old backpack (thankfully, this is an OLD backpack that may not survive the wash anyway XD )
Anyway, in the mix of all this, I'm prepping for FC! WHOOHOO! But I came to a slight problem: How much to take?
I'm taking the train, and after the last two cons where I had to travel by suitcase and not large bin, I'm deciding to take less then normal to save my self the pain.
But how much is enough?
I plan on doing a limited number of commissions at con, so art stuff is going, but I have prints and buttons that people seem to love, and I hope to have a few plushies in tow.
But issues is, prints and buttons are HEAVY when you have a lot, and even though I had numbers on how much to take in my head, I want to see if anyone wants to say "make sure you have X, X and X for me at con!"
I'm mainly worried about having enough MLP, Adventure Time and LoL buttons sets for you guys, hehehe. And other things too.

So being the work-o-holic and crazy MTG player I am, I decided to get a jump start on making lifecounters to sell in time for Christmas! And after the BF, his bro and I bought enough FatPacks for me to hoard all the lands from, I have decided to do a shout out to all my fellow players to get first dibs!

Legends of Tenarka: Conflicts
Posted 13 years agoWell, I've gone and done it! I have committed myself to make this happen and it's happening! My original story, Legends of Tenarka, is going up online!
So far, I only have a cover+2 pages up, but I managed to draw out myself quite a few pages, making sure I am happy with what I plan on doing for style and such, so I have a nice little queue built up and scheduled to go up Wednesday evenings for some time (and add to when I have free time!)
To find the comic, it is being hosted up over here on SmackJeeves:

For now I have chosen this comic website because of a few things. One is exposure, two is they already had in a system in place that I wanted to write and would have taken me a year to do (I've been trying to the last 3 months! DAMN YOU PHP, YOUBLESSEDBITCH!) three it's just easier (aka the coding and updating). Later on I have options to finish DragonStripe.net, or pay them to have my own address and what not.
You also do not need to have an account with SmackJeeves to have access, but making an account takes out a few of the ads, if I am not mistaken.
I DO plan on uploading pages to FA at a later date, likely a different account all together, but they will not be weekly, more like monthly and in chunks and in no way up to date.
Right now I am working on Chapter 0 called Conflicts. This is a standalone story that is designed to help build the world I have created, and pave the path for the full blown saga I have plotted. Buckle your seat-belts, it's going to be a crazy ride! =D

Posted 13 years agoI know only a handful of people actually check out journals, (I be not a regular at it myself) but I figure I should post something up that's not advertising for a dead auction.
I've been VERY VERY busy, and over whelmed. My roommate situation is kind of up in the air, so I'm both "yay" and "wtf?" every other week or so cause, I just don't know what is happening with those two... First they are moving... then not till April? IIIII.... (all a long story)
Plush commissions are not open until I don't know when (which is killing me,) art commissions likely will start opening sooner because those I can do when sick and not make me(or my computer) choke on fluffy dust. I have also been working hard on artwork, but nothing that I would post often on FA (humanoids oy my! That is what my DA is for) or comic work that I can't show you yet :X
Right now, I am in the throws of getting ready for PMX November 9-11th, working on print designs, catching up on my orders, and over all convention prep (damn it, I need to make my new display too!) And after that I have like 3-5 weeks to finish like 7 plushes for Christmas X_X I did manage to finish(I think) my bidoof pattern XD
I have also this week been working really hard on trying to put together a portfolio for videogame concept design, so that I might actually get a real job for a totally awesome company. *crosses fingers*
But that's most of what's been happening, future confirmed conventions are as follows:

I myself was shocked to hear that it came out just fine!

Anime Expo Recap (and other past summer news)

In short, I've been VERY BUSY the last 2 months, and inactive online. I had Fanime, then Califur. Followed by AM2 and Finished with Anime Expo. In that time I only worked on a few commissions, and I plan on finishing those now and getting started on some projects!
I am OFFICALLY closed for custom plushy commissions until further notice! Sorry everyone, if you have contacted me in the past we'll talk, but for now, I am over booked, took in over 7 commissions at the cons to work on from now till Christmas, I also have plans for a few fun ones to show off later. I'm open to requests, if you are interested in a plush design I have already made, I might add them in-between orders and throw them up on ETSY. Meaning like, you want an umbreon, you say "I'm interested in an umbreon plush, when might you have one?" I might be tempted to make one, but I might not if I don't feel like I can or should. I plan on building a small stock on the side for the holidays, I also have a con in November, and am looking into maybe doing Stan Lee's Comikaze in September.
As for future cons, I am on the wait list for Further Confusion, and have high hopes that I will get in. I am also thinking about FWA, A-kon, Sakuracon, and maybe one other for out-of-state convention for the hell of it.
In other news, later this week, when I can actually think, I will be having a Post-Con-Post-4thofJuly merch sale! Selling off some of my over stock and discontinued wares to make room for new designs!
Also, I am now in the sketching and layout stage for my new webcomic "Legends of Tenarka: Conflicts" and should hopefully be ready to post pages of my pilot comic some time in August! I'm really excited! And loving where this might go. Conflicts is a short story based in the same world as the normal Legends of Tenarka story. Building up for the readers the setting and fundamentals to give a great kick start to the official comic. More news on that as we get closer.

In other news, later this week, when I can actually think, I will be having a Post-Con-Post-4thofJuly merch sale! Selling off some of my over stock and discontinued wares to make room for new designs!
Also, I am now in the sketching and layout stage for my new webcomic "Legends of Tenarka: Conflicts" and should hopefully be ready to post pages of my pilot comic some time in August! I'm really excited! And loving where this might go. Conflicts is a short story based in the same world as the normal Legends of Tenarka story. Building up for the readers the setting and fundamentals to give a great kick start to the official comic. More news on that as we get closer.
Well, I think that ends this journal post. Lots of stuff to upload later, including plush pages and some new artprints, keep your eye out for the sale if you want some small items! :D

Posted 13 years agoWell, other then posting the character auction (which no one took for even $5 :P ) I have been VERY busy and hauling ass this whole month. So busy I can't even post much progress shots of new merch and what not projects I completed! Lets just say one I have done was a 5foot Big Macintosh from MLP:FiM =3
I've also made some new charms and quite a few buttons and have two new kick ass prints. But if you want to see anything on what's mentioned above, you'll have to hunt me down!

Still lots to do, I take the train to San Jose tomorrow morning. I'm like 95% packed since lastnight, but I still have papers, maps, and sanity to print out (sanity at this point is a check list, and trying to not EAT my papers)
Also, I have a new fancy phone that lets me connect to the net, so I might actually be posting on my -Tumblr- and -Twitter- updates of the con with pictures :o

Getting to Fanime
Posted 13 years agoSo, okay, I originally planed to take the train up, but when I looked at the prices, I had NO money, and now that I DO have money, they have almost doubled. Then my friend was like "You don't have anyone to carpool with?" And I don't. My BF has to work, and I don't really have anyone else I have normal contact with going, it's just me. But then I got an idea and decided it was a long shot.
Is there anyone in the LA area traveling to Fanime next week like on Thrusday or due in EARLY Friday? And willing to have a midget girl and her wears as a traveling companion? I'm going to be trying to compact as much as I can for the trip so I shouldn't take up a whole lot of space... idealy...
it's a long shot, I really don't want to spend $200 to get up there... :T

Sorry most of my journals lately, the few that I post over all, have been "whaaaa me!" But ugh... Last 2 weeks have been just a marathon I was not prepared enough for. Getting ready for 4 cons, in 4 weeks, and trying to finish 5 plush commissions that were suppose to be done long before last month at the same time has me really stretching my time. And I've had one thing after another come up to delay me still on these commissions. Had to go to JoAnn twice today!
On top of that my computer keeps having one issue after another. Before it was a bad ram stick that I have to replace still, but thank you Lord that the random restarts have subsided, for now. But then my primary storage drive showed signs of drastically dying and I had to back up all my files onto my my storage one and run all photoshop files and scratch disks on that one. I run 3 harddrives in my comp. One that is my C drive that's around 150gigs that's just for windows and programs. Then my D drive which is 250gigs and is all my docks and all my videogames and saves. Then my 3ed ones which is a terabyte that has music and all my D drive back ups. I don't want to use the terabyte all that much, but now, seeing as the D drive is dead, and to get a new one close to that size or larger is running $70 easy. I might as well spend $90 to get a second Terebyte, but they run much slower :P
All of which I'll worry about in July after my cons and bills.
But with that all said, cause my videogames were installed on the D drive, I have not had any way to escape the stress for now other then drawing some art for myself, or just listen to music while on the net for close to 2 months now.
Now for TODAY. The WHOLE DAY my speaker system has been on the fritz for no reason. It is acting like some 3 year old found the volume nob and keeps turning it up and down rapidly. I had this a hand full of times before where I thought my computer might have been doing some auto volume thing, but that was not the case, and it was NEVER this bad and was WAY more subtle. Now, it will drop half volume randomly, and I might get 1 minuet of strait single level at a time, to be followed with more flux. It was so annoying and hard to enjoy anything that I had it off completely for a few hours in the day. I've tried playing with cords, unplugging everything, plunging it in, checking to see if it's the desktop controls... *sighs* Next thing to try is using headphones and see if it's my built in soundcard, or my awesome stereo system.
Just really annoyed right now, cause I started music up again, in these later hours to chill to, and it started, and it can get LOUD. And with a house of teachers and baby... not a good thing...
I have almost no extra sensory escape right now other then my DS and I try to use that when I'm laying in bed. And after wearing headphones and earbuds every day for 3 years at my warehouse job, it hurts really bad to use them now... And I mean ear infection bad.

I was really wanting to make new prints, but now I'm left going if I should... it's a lot of money to invest and I have not sold a whole lot of prints. I MIGHT have made back my over all investment to date, and still have lots, but with time and money against me, I just don't know for Fanime or or CaliFur... :T
