TEAM TAIL TWERK AND CO UNITE!



I suppose it's my turn to have my say about this absolutely amazing con!

My goodness, it was one of the best experiences ever! Starting the weekend on Wednesday with a 12 hour drive to Reno with these two awesome guys  Kuhori GravetheWolf wasn't so bad since we had each other's company. Once we got there we checked in and I met a bunch of other people who had gotten there early. Two of the nicest dealers I've ever met,  Lexi_Foxxx and  Star_Feralwolfe along with some of my stream buddies,  XoGoodGirloX FennixSilvertail and proceeded to crash in our room with  summerbound until the next day.

Thursday came around and it wasn't too bad, pretty slow until later in the day, though I did get to go say hi to Lexicon and another friend  Budi as he arrived, later in the day registration happened and it was so smooth and efficient! Like seriously the line moved quickly and everyone knew what they were doing and had all the stuff laying out already and ordered by name and wow, other conventions should start taking notes. Anyways, we suited up and I revealed my new suit, Shallic 2.0! I made him myself with the help of all my friends and I think he looks adorable, you'll be seeing him around at local events I'm sure. Everyone was pretty tired but I had to go down and listen to my friend  ankutenwolf 's DJ set at midnight, it was hella bomb, glad I went down there! Almost fell over myself trying to get back I was so exhausted.

Friday was where the fun really started. Dealer's den opened up and that was the first thing we did alongside food, caught up with a bunch of friends and continued to talk with them through the weekend, and honestly, Friday Saturday and Sunday were all so fun it's hard for me to remember what exactly happened which day, it was all just so amazing! The con staff did such a great job with the theme and keeping it going throughout the whole thing, especially in the dealer's den, and wow was that place huge! The biggest dealer's room I've ever seen, big enough to have a fursuit play area right in the middle and it was awesome. Also a shoutout to  Avalon_Cruz for his birthday weekend, I'm glad I got to meet him and  Wolfstang as well, a couple of awesome guys.

Just to name a few of the amazing things we did. There were go carts, which was amazingly fun, I've rarely had the chance to do go carting even in my normal life, so to do it in fursuit with Grave was bomb diggity. Then there was the swing. Oh god the swing. Seeing it one day I tried my hardest to get Grave to go on it with me but heights is not his thing, which is understandable because it was freaking high. Next day we convinced  zarroc89 to come with! He came go carting with us and then we made the trek to get hooked up. It was nerve wracking at first but once the cord was released it was hella fun! I was screaming all the way down but after the freefall they were screams of joy xD. New friend  Rebelnine joined Zarroc and I for our second run at it and it was even more fun the second time around, three people seemed to balance it out better and with the draphox in the middle his wings kept us safe x3. There was also the pool, which was fun while it lasted, if it didn't start to STORM while we were having fun. Not to mention all the fantastic food that was everywhere, the GSR was a great place to have the con, especially with the staff being so accommodating and helpful in numerous occasions, even leading some of my roomies back to the room through a service elevator when the regular ones were just too damn full.

Anyways, there are just so many things that made this con great and I'm going to try my damndest to get back to it next year because the resistance must rise. I'm just gonna leave a list of people here that made this con awesome and I hope to see you all next year!

I rarely update my journals and I need to more often lol and I know I say that every time I make a journal, but that's because it's true.

So I just got back to school after an amazing winter break with my pack back home. Seriously these guys, you make my life the most enjoyable it could ever be. You're more than friends to me, you're my extended family, I enjoy every second I spend there and you can be damn sure I'll be back to visit again!

In other news, I'm going to die this semester. So many tough classes to get through. Don't be surprised if I don't make another journal until summer lol

Just felt like it was time to rid my page of the unnecessarily long con journal. Thanksgiving break is coming up soon here, followed shortly after by winter break! I look forward to seeing all my friends again for a while :3

Also, for a little bit now I've been working on something new and different that I may be coming out with soon :3 something along the lines of...fursona... new... :3 no specifics yet but I'm making a husky. It shall be coming ^^

Oh my goodness fucking gracious, AFC. What can I say about this weekend except holy gawd. What an awesome time. It was my first furry con so I pulled out all the stops, I went all four days, stayed for the entire thing.

Thursday was of course the slow day, only because a lot of people weren't showing up until the next few days. It was also however, what made the rest of the con doable for me, because as I was wandering around, wondering what to do with myself (because I went to the con alone, I did a lot of that, since I knew no one), I happened to walk by a fellow furry sitting at a table who said hello and invited me to sit down. The said furry is  dracorey who I conversed with until his friends  Lexi_Foxxx and  Star_Feralwolfe showed up and introduced themselves and we had a grand old time. They just happened to be one of the vendors in the dealer's den, so I always knew where they were lol. Anytime I felt bored I'd go say hi and they made me glad to be where I was. So thank you to you three so much for starting off my con the right way!

Friday was the beginning of all the fun stuff. Opening ceremonies to start things off and then I went to a couple panels about fursuits and stuff. I wasted all the money in the dealer's den that I possibly could throughout the day, and then it got to nighttime. My favorite part of this day was the panel called "Whose Lion is it Anyway," Led by the wonderful  semjay in which the audience played a whole bunch of improve games coming up to the front and acting out scenes and just having fun. I haven't laughed that much in quite a long while. "If you know what I mean" (inside joke). I haven't even started to mention all the fursuits, the wonderful fursuits that were around. Telephone and Radio were there as guests, and there were so many awesome suits I got pictures of, to be put up later.

Saturday is the winner though for my most memorable day. Two big things went on that made my weekend. The night before, my footpaw had been brutally torn apart by the menace known as the floor. Thanks to the help of my newfound friends in the dealer's den (THANK YOU) I was able to temporarily repair my footpaw so that I could wear my legs during the fursuit parade! What an experience that was. So many people...so many cameras...they were all smiling at me and waving and just...omg my eyes are watering as I type. It made me the happiest wolf. There were 114 fursuiters total in the parade. The line that we had was so long, that the last person out of the main ballroom where we all gathered could see fursuiters already starting to file back in from the other side before they were even out the door. We had a continuous loop of furry throughout the entire hotel. I'm so glad I was a part of it.

And then there was the rave that night. There were raves the other two nights too, but I only mention this one because of my excitement during. There was one guy at the side doing poi, where you have glowsticks attached to strings and you spin them around and do tricks and stuff. I was watching for the longest time, and I had to ask, "how do you do that.." He ended up having an extra pair he brought along. He lent them to me, and for the next hour he gave me lessons on how to poi. God damn, I was so happy. I felt so cool with those things and apparently I was somewhat of a quick learner. We were doing it side by side and there were people coming up and taking pictures of us together, and when the music picked up, we would speed up together and I could do certain formations with the lights that made me feel like I was really good at it. Sir, I wish I knew your name so I could thank you ten times over because that was the time of my life. I'm going to buy myself a pair of glowsticks and cases so I can practice again and again so that next year I'll be as good as you and we can rock that rave into the future together. The only downfall is that it blistered my fingers really bad because I was doing it for so long. My fingers are still all bandaged up from the damage, but it was totally worth every second.

Sunday was basically the cleanup day, everything was winding down, I spent most of the time watching the gaming tournament that was going on, went out to lunch, came back and took even more pictures of fursuits, groveled over the pain in my fingers, had a few laughs with my friends, wasted a little more money, and then it was time for closing ceremonies.

The con has already outgrown the hotel that was chosen to host it. I'm thankful, because the hotel wasn't a very gracious host. They had planned a wedding reception and a high school reunion on the same weekend, and apparently the signs directing people to panels and such were being torn down by the staff because they were "distracting" to the other guests, even though the con had permission to put them up. Although, the reunion and reception took well to sharing space with us, in fact, some of the guests of the other events were standing around taking pictures and the like during the parade and afterward too. One of the reunion girls was even found at the dealers den trying to get a picture of some fursuiters because she "wanted to post on facebook that this is what her high school reunion was about." I mean, that just goes to show what kind of people furries are. The fact that these people who probably have never even heard of furry before, were enjoying it almost as much as we were, it says something about the personalities that show up here. The guests of the con were describing it as "walking into someone's living room saying 'hey what's up' like you've known the guy for years, even though you've never met him in your life." I love this fandom even more now.

The fact is that the con will continue to grow. Even after next year, more and more people will come. I'm sure after time this con will grow to the size of some of the biggest conventions that are out there now. And when that happens, I'll be proud to say that I was one of its first attendees. Thanks AFC for giving me the most fun I've had in a very long time.

P.S. Sorry for the very long journal. It's my first con and as you can see I was very pleased with the outcome.

Well I'm back for the summer finally and I've gotten back with the pack already! Prepare for quite a few picture uploads, as I haven't done so in forever, and just recently we had a meet in the park and went mini golfing. Aaaand here we go!

I'm back for christmaaas and my friends are being too awesome lol I got a n7 hat, and a cute little plushie.. and I'm going to get something for you guys! I swear it >.> but anyways, yeah, just wanted to get that old journal out of the way. It was like half a year old :P

Yeah, sorry local friends but it has to happen, I'm starting the drive back to college tomorrow to start another year. It kills me that I have to leave my friends again, I wish I could stay, especially since there are so many things happening right after I leave, WFS, Kumoricon, Rainfurrest, *sigh* everything happens while I'm gone.

At least I have a new friend to look forward to meeting in college  Urthclaw I'm bringing my fursuit and if I can get a job and some money maybe I can hook myself up at one of the Arizona cons.

Soooo I had a pawesome day, no wait, a pawesome week, and I have my pawesome friends to thank for it once again :3

I'm starting to get my fursuit really underway, I have a foot done and I'm working on the other one, and then I plan to make the hands and arms. This is all for Infurno by the way, Shallic will remain how he is for now, but I plan to make Infurno a full suit, and I'm going to do it all by myself :D any pointers would be nice but I'm making it my goal to finish before summer does.

Also, I had an awesome awesome friday hanging out with my friends playing games, watching funny stuff and then making perfect s'mores. lol I will never forget that and I thank alley for teaching me x3 it's an art! Man, I love my friends to death, I can't wait to do it again sometime!

It's days like today that make me so happy to be alive and with people that I can call my friends. After today's fun, I can't help but feel honored to be a part of the furry pack that's started here. So this week, especially this weekend, are going to be pretty busy if I'm right. The plan is thus far. Today, Wednesday and Thursday, making a tail for my new suit, Infurno :3 got my black and orange fur in the mail yesterday. Also possibly hanging with my friend and playing some games one of those days.

Friday, going to a baseball game x3 my dad got us tickets for my birthday. Which is Friday.
Saturday, parents are going out, grandparents are getting here, and planning on a party day with my friends
Sunday, brother's birthday, having a family dinner as far as I know >.> should be...interesting.

Oh and father's day is in there somewhere too lol the baseball takes care of that. I'm not much into sports really >.> but it's still fun to go. I hope it's a good week!

I can't actually say when I'm going to get home, because that would ruin the surprise for a friend of mine x3 lol but I can say that I am so excited to finally be in my own house and bed *sighs happily*. I'm going to have so much fun this summer x3 planning on 2 conventions and a bowling meet in seattle, plus lots of fursuit bowling in town with the awesome new furs living there :3

Other than that, i'm going to get my new suit head done finally! and hopefully get another one started and finishd, and maybe one or two more x3 its gonna be a totally furry summer! I can hardly wait x3

31-40 = High Furlevel (Normal humans will look at you as weird, which is a positive thing)
41-50 = Super High Fur Danger (You are a danger of the human society, you will get cookies)
