Second Life: Still a Thing? Yes.
Posted 2 months agoWell, it happened to me. I was curious to see if Second Life was still a thing after 20 or so years, and indeed it is. So I signed up and I got hooked immediately. I now have over a dozen avatars. Any other Second Life addicts out there? I will try to do my other art projects so it won't take too much of my time. I used to be good at time management skills.
Jukrit is getting a makeover!
Posted 8 months agoMy fursona Jukrit the Shaman Squirrel is the guy you see in my profile avatar. I don't think I like the way he looks anymore, so I'll be making new art of him soon; don't know when I'll be done. I just think he looks kind of silly, so the new Jukrit will have a more serious look.
Temporarily Closing Commissions
Posted 8 months agoHey everyone!
Just wanted to let you all know that I'm going to be closing my commissions for a little while. Don't worry, it's nothing bad! I'm not quitting art or anything like that. I've just been feeling a little creatively restless lately and I'm itching to experiment with some new styles and techniques.
Think of it as a little self-imposed art retreat! I'm going to be hunkering down, trying new things, and hopefully leveling up my skills. I'm actually really excited to see where this takes me and I can't wait to share my progress with you all!
I'm not sure exactly how long this creative exploration will last, but I'll be sure to make another journal post when I'm ready to open commissions again. In the meantime, I'll still be active on FA, posting personal art and maybe even some sneak peeks of what I'm working on.
Thanks so much for your understanding and support!

Uptight much? It's just art.
Posted a year agoSo I tried getting a commission from an artist for an SFW piece. Well, they must have seen some of my artwork, or maybe some of the artwork I favorited. While it's good that they refunded my money, they said absolutely nothing and decided to block both of my accounts. Some artists want nothing to do with those of us with, shall I say, interesting quirks.
Edit: It turns out the artist in question is into sexual gore, but not ferals NSFW/mating! Well, to each their own. I personally detest sexual gore, but hey. One person's fantasy is another person's cringe.

Comic Series Coming!
Posted a year agoI haven't been doing a whole lot of art, but I'm planning something I haven't tried: a comic series. I intend on it having a written narration, with the intent on it being a comic version of a nature series. I plan on calling it "Wild Silvania." It will involve the wildlife on the planet Silvania, who have dialogue. It's narrated from the perspective of a narrator who is oblivious to the characters' conversations and is just observing their natural habits. The first episode will involve my newest characters.
Commissions Open!
Posted a year agoTo get me more motivated in doing art, I'm opening commissions for art, especially involving size play, which as many know is my favorite thing. Especially when the female is the larger of the two. But I'm okay with the other way around as well, so long as the big guy is gentle (definitely not a fan of rape). Just let me know!
Also, litter requests are still open as well.

Open for Litter Requests
Posted 2 years agoI'm open for requests to draw litters that are the offspring of 2 characters.
Must be 1 or 2 of my characters and/or 1 or 2 of your characters of your choice. My characters may come from the matings or the litters. I will determine litter size based on a random algorithm which itself is based on the average of the two species' natural litter size range. Half of the offspring will be hybrids; one quarter will be each parent's species.

One Last Mating Scene, but not the end.
Posted 2 years agoI've decided it's time to move on to other projects, so I'm going to be making one last mating scene. I hope this won't be a disappointment to those of you who are fans of my feral matings. I will still be open to commissions. I plan on focusing on learning to do 3D art creations on programs such as Daz3d Studio and Blender.
I recently started a comic series called "Branjo and Mowla" exclusive to Inkbunny: https://inkbunny.net/ShamanSquirrel
I thank all for your interest in my stuff and will continue with other projects.

Temporarily living with parents
Posted 3 years agoJust to let you all know I'm temporarily living with my parents until I find a house to buy. That means there won't be as much naughty stuff from me for the time being. I just don't want them to walk in on me drawing weird animal mating pictures! I'll probably make some SFW art in the meantime. I'll have to order a new Wacom pen, because I think I left it at my old place.
How to Make a Hybrid
Posted 3 years agoIn case anyone's wondering how I make hybrids. I use a program called Sqirlz Morph which is a free download that you can search for. I'll take two images of animals that are posing similarly and use control points to morph the images together. I'll then use that resulting morphed image as a reference for my hybrid's shape. It's not always perfect, just an approximation.
200th Watcher Raffle! [CLOSED]
Posted 4 years agoI've been procrastinating to do this after I got my 200th watcher, but I've decided to do a raffle! I would like to breed two original characters together. If you enter and win and decide you're uncomfortable with your character in an NSFW situation, I can work around that with you and the other winner.
The characters can be anthro or feral, but preferably feral. Below I have slots each for the male and for the female character. Please respond to the appropriate gender slot if you have a character. The two winning characters may either be in an SFW or NSFW situation, depending on the discretion of both winners. You may enter 2 characters; one for each gender slot. This raffle will go on indefinitely, depending on how many are interested, and after I've re-reached 200 watchers. Note me if you have any questions!
Contest ends December 1, 2021!

Coming Out...
Posted 4 years ago...as an atheist! First and foremost, I hope nobody is offended by me saying this. I grew up in a very religious household, and I no longer hold any of the beliefs. I actually deconverted between 10 and 15 years ago. It was a very gradual process, so it's hard to say when I actually lost my beliefs entirely. No I'm not an angry person, I just tend to be very rational and analytical. I'm not going out to eat babies anytime soon, LOL. Religion started to make less and less sense to me. Science and philosophy, on the other hand, makes a lot of sense. I never mentioned this before, but I always listen to atheist shows on Youtube while doing my artwork. All that interspecies mating art was drawn while listening to atheists talk. I like listening to the Atheist Experience, Talk Heathen, Truth Wanted and other shows. Please ask me anything about my lack of belief, I likely forgot to elaborate on something.
Question about Scalies and Sci-fi?
Posted 4 years agoOpinions, please. Would reptilian aliens from sci-fi be considered true "scalies"? Such as the Gorn from Star Trek, the Narns and Drazi from Babylon 5, Moclans from Orville, Dracs from Enemy Mine, etc.

My Favorite Ads Sadly Come to an End
Posted 5 years ago"Wildlife as Canon Sees It" was an ad campaign than ran in National Geographic magazine since 1984. Each was a page featuring a different species of endangered animal photographed by a Canon camera. An announcement was made in the December issue that it would be the last one, sadly. I enjoyed collecting these ads, because I am and advocate for the preservation of endangered species. I chose some of the species in the ads to be in my NSFW mating arts. I'll miss these ads.
Anyone use Toyhouse?
Posted 5 years agoI'm wanting to register for toyhouse, but I need an invite code. If anyone has one, could you please PM it to me? Thanks!
Commission Update
Posted 5 years agoMoney is going to be tight for me in the next 4 weeks, so I'm definitely doing commissions. Unfortunately, there won't be any requests; but instead discounted commissions. See my commission info for details.
Going on Vacation
Posted 5 years agoI'm going out of state until the 25th, so hopefully my neighbors will take good care of my animals. :)
As for my virtual animals, they'll have to hold it in for a couple weeks, LOL.

Furries and Metal
Posted 5 years agoI noticed that almost all of the profiles I've seen list Metal as a favorite music. Is there a correlation to being a furry and enjoying metal music? I'm hardly seeing any relation. I don't particularly care for it, except maybe European folk metal. Fur is soft; metal is hard. My guess is it could be a yin-yang thing; opposites may be necessary for there to be balance in one's life. Any thoughts?
Reached 100 Watchers! Raffle time!
Posted 5 years agoSo I finally reached the 100 Watcher milestone! I've been wanting to do something special for the occasion. So I think I'll do a raffle. For this special occasion, I'd like to breed a character of yours, with any of my characters of your choosing from any of my breeding scenes or litters. Just reply to this journal with the name of your character and the name of my character that you want yours to breed with. I'm going to keep this journal open for two weeks, closing it at 3am CST on March 11. After that time, I will pick someone at random and that will be the winner.
Ideas for Species?
Posted 5 years agoI'm open for suggestions for species I can use in my Virtual Pets breeding. I prefer mammals; and they can be extinct, fictional, or mythical.
My Virtual Pet World
Posted 6 years agoI thought I should explain what I'm doing with my art.
I have a virtual pet world, and all the mammals in it live on another planet where any two species can interbreed. The animals are sentient, and are as smart as humans and can talk. However, they still have their natural instincts intact and don't do human things like build houses, drive cars, etc. They live their lives naturally, in tree holes, burrows, out in the open savannah, etc. Due to all the mammals being sentient, predatory mammals do not eat what is normally considered prey mammals on earth. It would be tantamount to cannibalism. Instead, there is quite a supply of delicious flightless birds for the predators to hunt. Those aren't sentient like the mammals so it's okay to eat them.
The majority of breedings involve a smaller male and larger female. In my world, females tend to be more attracted to smaller males than larger ones. I suppose there is a very little distinction between "guy cute" and "small critter cute."
Hybrids between species happen in 50% of the offspring, while 25% are the father's species, and 25% are the mother's. A hybrid that mates with a non-hybrid contributes only one of his/her species to the offspring, so there aren't any 3-species hybrids. For example, a goat mating with a squirrel/horse hybrid will become the parent of goat/squirrels and goat/horses.
Color genetics are as follows: 25% chance of same colors as dad; 25% chance same colors as mom; 25% chance blended colors of both parents; and 25% chance non-blended colors from both parents occur on offspring.
Gestation periods depend on the average natural gestation period of both parent species. For example, if the father's natural gestation period is 30 days, and the mother's is 60 days, the offspring will be born 45 days after mating.
Any questions?

Happy Accident
Posted 6 years agoOne of my favorite artists, Bob Ross, is famous for calling mistakes "happy accidents." I realized a happy accident I made when creating the ghevals. I thought I made their chests too deep. But in my world, ghevals have been selectively bred and traded across several planets over many millennia. They could have developed more complex lungs to adapt to the varying atmospheres of the different planets they are found on, and hence, evolve deeper chests.
