Posted 14 years agoIs a precious Basset hound Shar Pei mix, and she needs surgery..
It is NOTHING terrible, or needs to be done right away. Shar Pei's have this eye problem where they need surgery to fix it. She squints her eyes to the point where you can hardly see them, and they are dark and drip a lot. My parents are currently trying to fix some financial problems, and talking to a women about buying her house when we sell ours. Macy's surgery i not something that is an ultimate concern until she gets older. It can eventually make her blind. She is VERY timid of people, and I think this is a big reason why. She can't see a lot of things and tends to hide from people she doesn't know. When she was a puppy, she had big brown eyes and was so friendly. Once her eyes started to go bad, she became very timid.
I want to try and save up for it. I believe the surgery is around 200 or 300 dollars. So, all my commission money will be going to her surgery. Any donation will be treated as a commission. (That is if you want art out of it) All will receive a full body, lineart and colored image. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get!

I'm sick of being used, abused, and lied about (VENT)

Okay, so I have a friend named Leslie, and she an I started to really hit it off near the end of Senior year. Anyways, her parents are kinda crazy, and shit went down in her house. I was always there for her to pick her up and get her out of her house. I was always there to pick her up from work when her mom refused to do it. I went OUT OF MY WAY to help this girl. I felt so bad for her. I'd hear her mom screaming at her over the phone when she would be at my house. Now Leslie does NOT have her license, or her own car because she used to have really bad seizures.
So finally, she gets kicked out around 1 am on a Friday night. A Night when I am not home, and I am out with my boyfriend about 40 minutes away from her. We were visiting his little brother and his step mother, having a good time. Again, I do not have my car. She calls me, saying how she has been kicked out. I tell her I can't do anything since we are so far away, I don't have my car, and James has been drinking so we were going to stay the night at his brother's house. I told her to call her boyfriend, get him to pick her up and stay there. She could NOT stay about my house, since it is already crammed. She wouldn't have her own room, let alone her own bed. But I figured her mom was just being a little crazy and would take her back in the morning. She ended up not doing that, only giving Leslie a few things and expects her to stay somewhere. Lucky for her, my friend Megan has an extra room at her house and they took her in. And we listened to all the terrible stories she told us of living in that house, how horrible her mother and father were. And we believed every little word that poured out of her mouth. I even found her a better job where she was surrounded by dogs and could be happy. I drove her to work and so did Megan AND Megan's boyfriend. We went out of her way to help her. I even invited her to go to Florida with megan and my family. Get this.
She sat in the back of the van with my sister and her friend, Megan and I in the middle. Each stop we made, we asked 'Hey Les, wanna sit in the middle?' "No no, I like the back!" Okay! On the way HOME from Florida, she got really car sick, so we let her sit in the middle the whole time. My parents got her medicine and Megan and I would switch back and forth from the front and the middle, since ti was crammed back there.
Well, let me tell you all the LIES she has been spewing about ME.
I never TRIED to come pick her up from her house when she got kicked out. I was only FIVE MINUTES AWAY WITH JAMES Doing 'GOD KNOWS WHAT' and I couldn't leave my boyfriend's side to go hep her out.

How I TALK DOWN TO HER AND MAKE HER FEEL STUPID
How I NEVER LET HER SIT IN THE MIDDLE OR HELPED HER WITH HER CAR SICKNESS AND HOW RUDE MY PARENTS WERE ON THE WAY HOME
Megan has been telling me all this, and Megan always stands up for me. She is jealous of our relationship, since Megan and I can do everything together and don't care what other people think. We don't care if we look silly, or cute, or are being loud. We have each other, and we tried to include her in everything we do.
Yet I'm the bad guy. I'm the one who never does anything for her. She owes me, AT LEAST 50 dollars in gas money. She has NEVER offered me one cent of it. Her mom gave her 500 bucks to go to Florida since they are trying to reconnect, and she never tells us that till the END of the trip. After my parents buy her meals, pay for her medicine and her groceries, since they thought she was tight on cash like Megan and I.
Yet she goes out and buys nice jewelry and tells us how guys just 'love to hit on her'. Megan and I DON'T CARE. megan has been with her boyfriend for FOUR YEARS and James and i have been together for almost 1 YEAR. We don't look at other guys. WE DON'T CARE.
I'm so sick of her saying such mean things about me to Megan, how rude I am and how 'SHE DOES'T DESERVE THIS KIND OF DRAMA'. EXCUSE ME?! I'm confronting her about ALL of this. I'm not taking her ANYWHERE ANYMORE. I'm sick of trying to hold on to this friendship and make it last. It's all about her, and that is all that matters. I'm not going to be mean to her, but once she can actually APOLOGIZE to me AND my family, then we can talk. But for now, I'm sick of her bullshit. I don't deserve this...

Posted 14 years agoMore like, my FOOT AUGH. We have a lovely old rug at the bottom of our stairs and we have wood floors. I took a sharp turn and WHAM! Twisted my ankle and my elbow smashed on the floor. There was a huge bump on my elbow but now it is gone...
ANYWAYS I'm so happy to be home from Florida <3 It was fun, but I quickly got sick of the sun an heat XD I want it to be overcast and 60 degrees every day. But I guess I'm asking for too much. Ah well, it's back to drawing! Planning on making a commission list soon...I need to make some art hardcore. My job just hired another person and I KNOW my hours are gonna be cut because they want her to close too. Unless I get more mid shifts, I'm screwed:/

Posted 14 years agoGONNA TRY IT OUT. And when I say speed painting, I mean I'm going to spend 4-5 hours on a drawing because I take FOREVAR. And I REALLY want to do a gift art dump too. Just all sorts of shit I have ALWAYS wanted to draw for people. Gonna try to start that today... Yes...

100 theme art challenge and stuff.
Posted 14 years agoWell, I've slipped into an art block and I STILL have commissions to finish on Subeta, but I just can't get anything down. I want to make a ref of both my fursonas revamped, but it isn't working out AUGH. I had to take a break from college because they were draining us of money and I was becoming emotionally depressed. I actually withdrew during the quarter because I couldn't take it anymore. I broke down crying during lunch with my mom at our favorite Mexican restruant <D; Our waitor was freaking out thinking it was because of my food LOL but I thought he was going to get so mad, but she didn't. When I first went to this college I was SO happy. I was doing so well and learning so much. But then, I started dreading going to school and skipped classes and started failing. It was also SO expensive I was freaking out. My parents are paying for EVERYTHING and I was just wasting their money. But they supported me (And I'm paying them back the money I wasted in failed classes) and now I'm trying to pick myself back up and get into gear. Since my school won't let me transfer my credits, I'm gonna go to Ivy Tech and boost my GPA then I'm going to go to IUPUI and either go in for animation or graphic design. Which ever offers me a really good future. (Even though they both do...) Hell, I could do both if I'm lucky! But I'm trying to get back into the flow, and I love being on here. I get so happy looking at everyone's art and seeing how much they improve. It used to depress me, but now it just motivates me! I want to get better in SAI and Illustrator, if anyone knows some good lineart tutorials or shading tutorials for either, PLEASE let me know! I want to learn as much as I can.
And now for the challenge list! There is NO WAY I'm gonna get this done in 100 days, but I want it for ideas and to get some of my OC down. Plus, I wanna get a hold of my style so that I can start doing commissions. I'm also making a LOT of money at work now, so once I get some ref sheets down, I'm gonna go buy some art.
