Got back from Fur-Xoticon on Sunday night. :) Overall I had a fun time and I will definitely be going again next year. Look forward to seeing what hotel will be hosting the con in 2018. :)

Today is my birthday! :) I level up to age 38. :)

Had another great year at Megaplex with my sister. Would normally post a lengthy review of this year's con but this year will only give a short overview of each day.

Wednesday (8/3) : We flew out of Providence and had a stopover for about 3 hours at Baltimore/Washington airport. After 2 uneventful flights, we got to Orlando just after 11pm . After some hiccups (my sister having to retrieve her phone, me forgetting to bring my insurance info for the rental car then driving off without having the car checked then driving over a small curb after leaving the rental place a second time), we got to our first night's motel and slept until morning,

Thursday (8/4): After getting breakfast, we made our way to Universal to spend the first half of our day. We got the two park pass and went to the main park first. Had fun on the Men In Black Ride and the The Mummy Ride (which were both very fun), We rode the Hogwarts Express to IOA and then went on the Jurassic Park (a must everytime we go) and promptly got soaked. We soon went back on the Hogwarts Express back to the main park (I do recommend going both ways) before heading for Dinner at the Hard Rock. Then we made our way towards the convention hotel. We knew we had reached it when we saw the cosplayers of Judy and Gideon from Zootopia..hehe. After getting our reg and meeting Arisu (who gave me the awesome Epic Mickey paintbrush nunchuck for the Wii and gave me a big hug), we waited for our room share. Once  lonewolfraven arrived, we got our room and put our stuff away before relaxing for most of the rest of the night.

Friday (8/5): After a hearty breakfast (and leveling up on Pokemon GO to level 5, joining team Instinct), we made our way to the dealer's den. After meeting both  genesisw and  foxenawolf again, I gave both of them gifts. I gave Gen a small bucket full of Dell's Frozen Lemonade Mix packets and a specially made CD. Fox also got a bucket full of the Lemonade Mix :) Most of the rest of the day was spent near Gen's table. Once the Den closed, we hung around the hotel and the hospitality suite until the Dessert Social. After filling up on yummy desserts, we went to the video gaming room and played some Super Mario World on the SNES. Then it was back to the room where we watched the Olympics Opening Ceremonies before resting.

Saturday (8/6): After meeting Gen again in the Dealer's Den, I went off to the SuperSponsor Lunch while my sister went swimming, During the lunch, I turned on Pokemon GO and caught a Pickachu. :) Later that day, I got this year's badge from Gen, an adorable and amazing badge that I will post up soon. I also got a copy of the latest Little Tales book (thanks Gen :) ) that includes my comic with Gen and Marina. :) Later on, my sister took a nap before the den closed for the day. Had a nice talk with Gen before she headed up to her room for the night. I then got an invitation to go with Arisu, Starknights, Rosemary Teatree, Uncanny Dynamo and another friend who's name I can't remember at the moment (sorry about that). Despite having a bit of a headache, I greatly enjoyed the dinner (at a local Cici's)..that will be one of my favorite memories from this year's con. The after recording a special message for  holliehyena , I went back to the room then came back down later to go to karaoke. :) I got up the nerve and sang 'Dream On' by Aerosmith before me and my sister went back to the room to rest.


Sunday (8/7): After another good breakfast, my sister went to the CARE presentation and I went back to hang out at the Dealer's Den near Gen's table. :) Most of the day was spent hanging out a bit and getting the most out of the last day. After the den closed, we hung out with the Little Tales crew while everyone was packing up. Before it was over, I got a nice hug from Arisu and Gen of course. :) Then once everyone went their separate ways, me and my sister went out to eat at a local Steak & Shake (another thing that's become regular while we're there) then back to the hotel to hang out and get some rest.

Monday (8/8): After waving goodbye to our roommates for the weekend, we checked out and my sister purchased a Disney Park Hopper pass at the front desk then we were on our way! Started our day at the Magic Kingdom, going on the Pirates ride (a must) and the Haunted Mansion ride (another must) then stepped out of the park to head for Animal Kingdom. Once there, we went on the Safari in the African region of the park and saw several awesome animals (including a male Lion sunning on a big rock) then got some pizza for lunch before making our way back to the Magic Kingdom to see the parade with the official Nick & Judy cosplayers. Soon after, we too the monorail to Epcot. After riding the new version of the 'Soarin' ride (which Is a definite must if you go to Epcot), we went over to the World Pavilion to wait for the fireworks. After Epcot closed, we took the Monorail back to the Magic Kingdom just in time for their fireworks before going on one last ride (Space Mountain, another must). We then found a Motel 6 and stayed there for the night.

Tuesday (8/9) After checking out, we drove on down to Disney Springs to spend the day. We walked around a bit, checking out all the shops (a little disappointed that they didn't have any Zootopia stuff tho) until a little later in the afternoon. We left there and went to get lunch (at the world's largest Checkers Drive-In) then drove down I-Drive to scope out next year's hotel (which looks awesome by the way). We made a couple more stops before finally making our way back to check in the car and head to the airport.


All in all, it was an amazing trip. Both me and my sister had a lot of fun and we're already starting to plan out next year's trip to Megaplex. ! :)

If there is one this year, I will be! :) It's always fun. :)

Will you be dressed for the Megaplex theme?
Probably not.. if I had the proper clothing for it I would consider it. One thing I would love is if they would do a 1980's theme for a future con.

It was definitely very fun. There were a few issues with the con and the hotel but those can be forgiven since it was a first year convention.

There was definitely lots to do and the restaurant close by (a Friendly's) was very nice to the attendees. :)

Would definitely consider going there again in the future. :)

I don't usually post a lot of journals but I felt this deserved one.

Recently a very dear friend of mine,  HollieHyena had to have emergency surgery to remove a blockage in her intestines. She's recovering now but now she need help of a different kind. She currently doesn't have health insurance and will be out of work for a while as she recovers from her surgery. She's set up a GoFundMe page for donations to not only help pay her medical bills but also to help offset lost wages while she recovers at home.

Today is my birthday :) Today I level up to age 37 :)

After two weeks back, it's finally time to report on the fun I had right before, during and after Megaplex this year :)

Wednesday (7/29) : After finishing up packing at home, me and my mom drove down to pick up my sister since she would be joining me in Orlando :) Since our flight wasn't until later in the day, we decided make a stop beforehand to make a day out of it before getting to the airport. We stopped at Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville, MA and had some lunch in one of the restaurants there (Flutie's) before checking out some of the slots. Then it was time to make our way to the airport. Once there, we got our bags from my car, said goodbye to our mom and made our way in to check in before going through security.

The flights themselves were slightly delayed but otherwise uneventful (brief stopover in Baltimore before Orlando). We got to the Orlando airport shortly before midnight and got our bags then too k a shuttle to pick up our rental car offsite. After picking up the car (a 2015 Wolfsburg Edition VW Passat), we made our way towards the hotel to acclimate ourselves with the hotel by car. After finding the hotel, he went and found the nearest 24 Hour Steak n' Shake and had a small meal before heading back. Since we didn't have our room at the hotel yet, we found a nearby hotel parking lot and slept in the car.


Thursday (7/30)
After a short but fairly restful nap in the car, we drove over to Denny's for some breakfast to wake ourselves up before driving over to the Marriot to park. We left our bags in the car for now and headed inside to wait for our room share. After getting sodas (Dr. Pepper for me and Diet Dr. Pepper for my sister), we sat in the lobby to wait. While waiting,  kittybird came up to us and said hi. I introduced her to my sister before KB left. A little later, I was greeted by the jolly green hyena herself  holliehyena and I introduced her to my sister as well. I got a few massages here and there from our weekend roommate who was still helping set up. After charging our phones, we rushed off to just outside the ballroom. It was there that we met  lonewolfraven who we would be rooming with for the weekend. He was still setting up and would let us know when the room was ready. After a bit of waiting, we got the text that he had gotten our room keys. Once we picked them up and got our room number (248), we went to the car to get our bags. Soon we were up in the room and got cleaned up and changed our clothes before heading back out.. we had some other plans before reg started. On the way out, we met Jaazel in the parking lot..we said hi and then headed to our car. After a bit of a drive, we made it to Universal Studios. We bought our tickets to IOA ($108 each..yikes) and headed in for some fun.

We only managed to get on one ride tho but it was worth the wait. We went on the Jurassic Park ride (while it was lightly raining and somewhat humid which made it seem like we actually were there). Before we could exit the gift shop, one of the sudden downpours that Florida is famous for occurred and we had to wait it out. While we were waiting, my sister made a goofy video that she posted up on Facebook. Once the rain cleared enough, we made our way to the JP 'Visitor's Center' for a little bit. While we were in there one of the 'lab worker' cast members noticed my FWA shirt and asked if I was there for MP. After that, we made our way over to the Harry Potter section of the park where we stopped in a gift shop. While there, my sister got a Hedwig plushie and I got a Hufflepuff Scarf. It was getting a little late so we headed on out of the park and made our way back to the hotel to pick up my con swag. After getting my stuff, I helped my sister get her registration and then we waited back in the lobby for the bowling event to start. We took our own car and after making a quick stop at Checker's, we got to the bowling alley. While we were there, I gave my gift to Hollie (A CD and some Coffee Milk Syrup). The night was so fun..both me and my sister had a bit of fun talking with some of my friends and I even bowled a round. All in all, a fun night. Soon, we made our way back to the hotel and got a good night's rest.


Friday (July 31) After getting cleaned up, I headed out to drop my sister off at Downtown Disney where she would be spending most of the afternoon. I soon made my way back to the hotel and put on all my con badges before heading to the Dealer's Den. It was there that I finally saw  genesisw for the first time at this year's con. I gave her my gifts to her (A new CD and some more frozen lemonade mix) and sat down for a bit. While waiting for my sister to call, I checked out the other dealers and greeted  foxenawolf and Merrihop. I finally met Kaze along with RebelSquirrel, HMS Eagle and the others :) After getting the first of the artwork from Gen, a long awaited Postcard pic (which I will post up soon), I payed for full color pic (which I will also be posting soon) before getting the call from my sister. I rushed on down to pick her up at DD again before heading back. It was when I got back to the con that I encountered the only issue I had with MP this year, the almost fully packed parking lot. After finally finding a space, I headed back in and we headed up to our room so my sister could put things away before heading out to the dealer's room. It was then I introduced my sister to Gen, Merri and everyone else she hadn't met before. It went just as well as I expected :) We then got some ice cream and cake at the social before heading back to the dealer's room. Once the room was closed, we made our way up to the game room. I played Super Mario World for the SNES while my sister played the original SMB game for the NES . Once we were done there, we went across the way to listen to some Karaoke. After that we headed back to the room to rest.

Saturday (8/1)

After cleaning up and getting some food from the coffee shop, me and my sister made our way to the dealer's den. While my sister looked around, I hung out mostly by Gen's table. While I headed out to the Supersponser luncheon, my sister got some food at the cafe. Soon I headed back to Gen's table and watched as she was working on my annual MP Badge :) During that time, I helped my sister make a purchase at one of the tables and she checked out the CARE animals they had out in the dealer's room. I bought some buttons (fan made LPS buttons and a little cute otter) Later in the day, I stopped at  princessrei 's table and commissioned a pinup of Marina (coming soon). I soon went to Fox's table and bought book 2 of her 'Isla Akute' series. I soon got my awesome Gen badge not too soon after. Before I could do much more, I was told that I had to move my car. I ended up having to move it to the 'overflow' lot which was a sandy field a distance from the hotel in the rain. I cam back a muddy, slightly wet doggy..hehe. Later on, I stopped over at MaryMouse's table and picked up three 'Certified' tags. I picked up a 'Fanboy' for me, a White Fox for Gen and a Maned Wolf for Foxena :) Both Gen and Fox loved their gifts. Before the Den closed fully that day, me and my sister conversed with Tigermark and his wife along with Muddypaws before we left. We then left the hotel and went out to get some dinner a Cici's before heading back. After getting cleaned up a little more, we went back out into the hotel. We first checked out the hilarious 'Who's Line' sketch before heading up to check out the second night of Karaoke. This time, I performed one song ('Africa' by Toto) before we went back to the room to rest.

Sunday (8/2)

After cleaning up again, we headed back down to the dealer's den after some breakfast (got some stuff from the sponsor lounge). Gen then presented me with the wonderful full colored commission that she did for me (will be posted soon) while my sister was checking out the CARE animals. :) The rest of the day went by pretty quickly..I sat with Gen, talking some more. I always enjoy any talking time I get with her at the con :) In the middle of the afternoon, me and my sister had a nice lunch at the hotel's cafe before rejoining the fun in the den :) I helped my sister pick out two certified badges (housecat and snow leopard) and Gen let my sister have one of the 'derpimals' ..a purple kitty (long story) for free :) Since there was no LT afterparty, we hung out once the dealer's den was closed until Gen and Fox were finished packing up. We all shared some silliness :) Soon after, I hugged Gen and the others before we went out to get some sandwiches at Jimmy John's then headed back to the hotel to sleep.


Post Con - Monday (8/3):

After cleaning up again, we packed up and said our goodbyes to our roommates before heading out of the room. The last member of the LT that we talked to in the hotel was Kittybird :) We said our goodbyes to the LT group and headed out to place our bags in the car. After turning in our room keys, we waved goodbye to the hotel and made our way to Disney World :) We spent the day in between The Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. We went on the Jungle Cruise, had fun on the Stitch ride and went off to Space Mountain. After that at Hollywood Studios, we ate at Pizza Planet then saw the Muppets in 3D before riding on Star Tours. At EPCOT, we finally got to ride Soarin' (which is soo awesome BTW..well worth the long wait) and then headed to check out the EPCOT fireworks before heading back to the Magic Kingdom to end the day. That night, we got a room at the Motel 6 in Kissimmee for the night to sleep.. one last rest in Orlando.

Tuesday (8/4) - After checking out of the room, we made our way to Downtown Disney to hang out before having to drop off the car. We had lunch at the T-Rex restaurant before walking around a bit. After checking out all the stores, we had some desserts before I bought the book based on the movie 'Inside Out'. After a bit more time hanging out, it was finally time to go. We soon go the rental car place, turned in our car and get our bags before getting a shuttle back to the airport. We waved goodbye to the city one last time once we got to the airport before waiting for our late flight home..


All in all me and my sister had an amazing time :)

Additional Notes:

As I have said before, I do have Asperger's so I am pretty shy and tend not to make eye contact with people right away. That being said, if I do act up and try to blame it on my Asperger's don't hesitate to call me on it.

This year my sister will be attending with me. She'll mostly be spending time at the local parks but will pop in during the con from time to time over the course of the weekend. This is her first furry con and I hope I can make it a very positive experience for her. :) Can't wait to have her meet everyone in the Little Tales community. :)

Looking forward to going to Megaplex this year. This year my older sister will be attending (probably off an on over the weekend). I'm already registered and our airfare is all set.

The main thing up in the air is we're still looking for a room for the weekend. Would prefer someone familiar since my sister will be with me and I want her experience at the con to go well. We'll be arriving in Orlando late Wednesday night (July 29th) and will be leaving the following Tuesday night (8/4). We mainly need the room for Thursday through Monday.

Have had an arrangement the past couple years but haven't been able to ask about it recently.

I'm pretty quiet and keep to myself and will likely be out of the room most of the weekend. My sister is a nice and awesome person and will be out of the room most of the time.

It's my birthday today :) This year, I turn 36 :)

After about a week back, it's finally time to report on the fun time I had at this year's Megaplex

Thursday (7/24)-

After a relatively uneventful flight, I got to the hotel and relaxed. First member of the Little Tales crew I saw was  kittybird while I was waiting for  holliehyena After a bit, Hollie arrived with her hubby Treb and I got the room that I would be spending the next few days sleeping in. I met the first of my three roommates,  starallon before putting my bags down and started to prepare my bag and badges for the con. Not too long after that, my second roommate  arisuvixen arrived and we hugged before I went across the hall to give Hollie her gift, another of my specially made CDs.

After a bit, I went down to the main lobby and waited for registration to open. :) Once 6 pm rolled around, I got into the sponsor line to get my badge and con gifts. Once I got my stuff, I walked on over to a table where I got to talk to  genesisw for the first time :) I gave her both a specially made CD and small bucket full of Dell's Frozen Lemonade mix as a gift :) After a little talk, I got up along with Arisu and Allon to help Merrihop and  foxenawolf unload  gensuriel's truck. After helping bring the supplies to their room, there wasn't much to do but wait until the bowling event. I saw a few more of the LT group in the meantime while I was trying to stay awake.

Later that night, we went with Hollie, Jeazel, Arisu and Wolfwings to the Bowling alley to see what was going on. While I was there, I came across Buck (aka Husky In Denial) whom I had roomed with more than once with at RCFM :) After a bit, we headed back to the hotel then went up to to the room where we met our last roommate, Fermented, who's flight had been delayed. After that, I got ready for bed and settled in to get some rest.


Friday (7/25) -

After a decent rest, I got up and showered and watched some TV before changing for the convention. I went down not too long later and made my way to the main ballroom to check out Opening Ceremonies. The Ceremony was funny and relatively short so I hung out while waiting for the Dealer's Den to open. Once it was open I walked around a bit before settling down beside Gen's table where she gave me the most adorable badge! :) I hung out near her table for a bit, greeting more great members of the LT community and purchasing a copy of Little Tales Book #6 (signed by Gen) before I got hungry. I then excused myself and started to walk, making the fateful decision to head for the nearest Wendy's by foot..which was just over a half a mile. I got my lunch to go then walked back. By the time I reached the hotel, I was drenched in sweat..I cooled myself off before eating. I then went back to the Dealer's Den and hung out off and on until closing time. After that, I hung out around the lobby and then went to video game room to play a couple NES games (TMNT and TMNT 2). After that, I made my way to the dessert social where I had some chocolate cake, some vanilla ice cream, cheesecake and key lime pie. The rest of the day went by without much else going on. I went down to check out the first night of Karaoke before heading up to the room to sleep.


Saturday (7/26)

After another decent sleep, I watched some TV and showered. Arisu got me some hash browns from Denny's which held me over though the morning. Once I was ready, I went down to the Dealer's Den to hang out with Gen where she gave me many wonderful commissions, including my 'murder' card, postcards of Shane with his daughters and Marina and best of all, the Little Tales comic that she had done for me. :) I then excused myself and headed for the brunch :) At the brunch, I had some rolls, a salad, some delicious turkey, mashed potatoes and some chocolate mousse along with some lemonade. Once brunch was over, I went back to the Dealer's Den to see Gen again who asked if I wanted to have my comic laminated to last longer. I agreed and she did so :) (Thank you Gen :)) After that, I walked over and commissioned  mosa for a pin-up pic of an older Marina (when I got after the con..here's the pic http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14155642/ ). After that I got caught over there watching the Fursuit Parade. Soon after I went back over to Gen's table then got up and headed upstairs to the Brony meet and greet, where I met more MLP fans and saw some really cool fan made plushies :). Once that was through, I went back down to the dealer's den where I hung out near Gen again, talking with more of the Little Tales group and commissioned Gen again until the Dealer's Den closed. After that, I walked around the lobby and hung out and checked out the 2nd night of Karaoke then headed to the lobby to hang out (and almost fall asleep) until I went back up to the room to rest.


Sunday (7/27)

After a decent rest, I watched some TV and showered before getting ready for the last day of the con. After getting some breakfast at the Sponsor Suite, I went down to hang out at the Dealer's Den and talk to Gen. Soon I got up and walked around, getting a copy of Fox's Overlord Comic Book #1 (with a sweet pencil sketch of Shane in the minion outfit :) Most of the rest of the day was spent hanging out with Gen, talking with several of the Little Tales community, including Rebel, Uncanny, CoyoteCanuck, Jaezel, Hollie and Rosemary..and I got to meet  starknights for the first time :) I hung out mostly there, only leaving to get some lunch up at the suite, until closing time. Along with others, I helped Gen and Fox pack up as the den closed for the weekend. After closing, I went up to the room to relax before the LT Party. At the LT gathering outside, I hung out with many of the great people whom I had met over the past three years. The party was fun with so many laughs throughout. After about an hour or so, the party ended. I got a nice hug from Gen where she thanked me for being her con buddy throughout :) After all that, I went up to the con suite to hang out and have some food before heading up to the hotel room to watch some tv before getting some rest. Allon had already left to make his way home, so the last I saw of him was in the suite.

Early in the morning, I said goodbye to Arisu who had an early morning flight before going back to bed.


Monday (7/28)

After resting a bit more, I got up and Fermented had already left to catch his flight. I got up, watched some more TV and then took a shower before finishing packing up. I packed up the items that Fermented had left behind to take down to the lobby before leaving the room one last time. I dropped off my room key then went to the lobby to hang out for a bit. The last member of the Little Tales community I saw was Merrihop. I gave her the items that Fermy had left behind then gave her a hug before she left. The rest of the day went by quickly. I caught the 6 pm shuttle back to the airport. I waved goodbye to the Hotel before heading to the airport.


-I had a lot of fun at this year's con. Though I didn't attend as many events as last year, this year was still so much fun. I would like to thank Hollie for getting the rooms for many of us. You are such a great friend :) It was great to meet Treb for the first time.

Megaplex 2014 was such an amazing Convention. After the past two wonderful years, I will definitely be making Megaplex an annual event :) Can't wait to see all the wonderful members of the Little Tales community next year at Megaplex 2015! :)

Currently single and looking, though it is not my top priority at the moment. I'm Bisexual but am currently looking more for a female mate but I will keep my eyes open for males as well :)


What other cons will you be going to?

Not sure at the moment..my sister has talked about going to Rhode Island Comic-Con and I am considering Anthro New England if I can afford it and of course Megaplex next year :)
