UPDATE TO COMMISSION TERMS - Pose References
Posted 4 months agoOk, so I've had a recurring problem as of late and it's high time I addressed it.
I am NOT ok with putting the work into drawing out a full pose, only to be told it's not what the commissioner had in mind.
I cannot read your thoughts. IF you have a specific pose or angle in mind, you MUST provide a reference of some sort.
This can be as simple as a hand-drawn stick figure, that is much better than nothing.
GOING FORWARD:
If you DO NOT include a pose reference in your request, I will assume you want a wing-it pose.
If you do not like the pose I provide, and request a redraw/major alterations to the original pose sketch
I WILL BE CHARGING A FEE FOR THE REDRAW
That said, if you want a wing-it comm that is PERFECTLY FINE and you do not need to provide a pose reference!!!

Things have NOT slowed down for me!
Been keeping up with things over on my BSky (follow me there for more consistent uploads).
That said, comms are very much open, and I have been having a BLAST getting in the mood for Mayternity!
Here's hoping many more tummies yet to draw!

Personal Update: Pet End of Life
Posted 8 months agoJust found out my favorite gal in the world, Bella, has cancer.
Inoperable tumor, so she likely does not have much longer.
She's an 8 y.o. German Shepherd, and this comes as quite a shock, since she still seems so happy and energetic.
But, cancer as always is never one to care.
I'm going to try and finish up my current commission queue, then pause work to spend as much time with her as I can.

Will/Won't Draw Update: Humans
Posted 8 months agoSO THIS NEEDS CLARIFYING...
It's not that I dislike humans or human character, etc...
it's just that I DON'T really like drawing them.
There's something about human faces and anatomy that always just looks weird to me when I try to do it, and it always ends up making the process a slog.
And the number of times I've been asked to draw a human character despite like 99.99% of my art being furry...?
Regardless, I've removed 'Humans/Human-faced" characters from my "Will Draw" list and they are not in the "Probably Not".
I'm not gonna outright say I'll NEVER draw them. I have several friends with very cute characters and such...
but as far as commissions I think I'd prefer people find other artists if you want your human-esque character drawn. It's just not my specialty.
I like drawing snoots n muzzles n big chompies. Lol.

Feeling MUCH better now, so hopefully will be back up and running with the draws shortly.

I don't like talking "politics". I gain no pleasure from debating.
In the US, both political parties are kinda shit. I have my beef with both.
But what we are dealing with now is beyond politics, or stupid partisan drama.
This is about a FUNDAMENTAL LACK of respect and outright ANTAGONISTIC stance towards basic human rights.
If you are a Trump voter/supporter... leave. Unfollow me. Don't interact with me.
If after yesterday (Jan 20, 2025) you still can't see how fucked this all is, seriously wtf.
This is my little space on the internet. I will stick to my morals.
Fuck Fascism.

FA literally is the reason I am able to work as an artist today.
Providing the furry community with such a bedrock place to call home after all these years... I cannot express my appreciation for that enough.
And he really REALLY did not deserve to pass on the way he did. It's honestly heart-wrenching and sickening.
I've never been much good at putting thoughts/feelings into words, so I'll just say that even if I didn't know him or ever personally speak with him, my heart breaks at this news.
With him having been the owner of FA, I don't know what the future looks like here.
FA has been such a steady constant for so long, I'd hate to see it pass on as well.
But until we hear more from management, there is no reason to get too worked up over that.
In the meantime, I say everyone just take some time to .... I dunno mourn, grieve, get your thoughts sorted. Maybe call or hug a loved one today?
This month has already started rocky, so I probably should take some time to just FIGURE SHIT OUT anyway.
More regular comms and content soon, hopefully.
