So I've been searching around on here to try and find a furry discord server (I'd like to actually connect with and make friends with fellow furries.......something I don't really have in my life currently) buuuuuuttttt I haven't really found a good server that made me feel exactly welcome.

You see, I'm a bit new to the furry fandom and sometimes I still feel like I'm not furry enough. I guess I don't want to be judged or something as well I know that the fandom can be a bit well.......toxic(?) sometimes. Not sure if toxic is the right word but maybe y'all know what I mean.

So I decided to make my own furry discord server that's open and welcome to all kinds of furries, especially ones that maybe feel the same way I do about the whole thing. This is my first time making a discord server, so I'm a bit new to all the stuff that I can do with it. I'd like to get a few admins to help me, but of course I'd want to have admins I can trust.

So for the meantime, anyone who wants to join will be a member at first and then once I get to know some of y'all then maybe I can start choosing admins. I might not be THAT active this week as I do have semester finals, but after that I'll try to be more regularly active.

And even though I have my laptop back up and running again, I would like to inform y'all that I'm officially closing requests. I know some people have asked me for requests recently, but I'm sorry that I probably won't get around to them. At least not for a while.

You see, now that I can use my laptop again, I would like to just enjoy it for a bit. I've also not really felt super artsy and creative, so sort of like a version of artblock? Basically I only really draw when I feel up to it/when I'm inspired or else I feel that whatever I create looks terrible. And as a person who takes a bit of pride in their artwork, I'd like to be able to draw people's requests to the best of my abilities and I can't do that unless I feel truly inspired or motivated.

I'm also FINALLY on summer break since I'm officially done with summer classes (I nailed my finals btw yasss) and I'd like to be able to have fun before I go back for fall classes in like 2 to 3 weeks as I know I probably won't be having much fun during that time......

I hope all of you understand and respect my want to not take requests/complete any requests people have made recently.

So I use discord somewhat a lot, but recently the servers/chats I've been in haven't been too great. Some people that I've known on there for a long time can be pretty toxic or whatever at times and there's usually always some kind of drama happening. Tbh I'm a little sick of it.
Also as I've gotten a bit more into the furry community, I was wondering if any of y'all knew of some furry discord servers that are generally nice and not so toxic/drama filled.......
And I'd like to be able to talk to other furries as I don't really do that or well at least I don't really have a good place to do so. So if y'all know any that wouldn't mind lil' me joining then I'd appreciate it :)

Hey guys, long time no see.

Classes have started again and i'm sick, so i probably won't be drawing anything for awhile. At least not anything too serious or complicated.

I was wondering, since i drew a bunch of requests in December, i'd love to get requests from other people.

Now that i've finished all the requests i got (except for 1 art trade), i'm feeling creative & would like to back into drawing my own original artwork with my characters & such.

But i have one problem................I don't know what to draw.

As you can see, i haven't posted art of all these characters yet on here, but some i have posted on my Deviantart (Angel, Taki, & maybe Rain). Some of them i may revise/update their designs, so that's why i haven't posted them yet. I know i've wanted to design Taluka's children, i just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Also if any of you have ideas for any characters i should create (i want to vary my characters & not just draw cats all the time cause tbh most of these characters are cats. Only Angel, Rukia, Opal, Cozy, & Taluka are NOT cats) it would be great. I recently started drawing bears more and i like it a lot more than i thought i would, so give me animals if you want.

I've officially decided to close requests.

Everyone who has already asked for one and i've responded to will eventually get their request drawn, so don't worry about that.

The reason as to why i'm closing requests is pretty simple. I just want to relax on my winter break and do more stuff that doesn't have to involve the internet, like actually going outside and such. I've also been quite tired, so i've been sleeping a lot. And when i'm awake after getting up past noon, i usually go out and spend time with family. I've also been having a bit of art block and a lack of motivation to draw. I've also just wanted to draw more of my own stuff, not requests, but i feel like i can't cause i don't want to make people wait too long for their requests.

*sigh* sorry if anyone else wanted a request, but i hope you can understand. Also drawing is just a hobby for me, not anywhere close to my future career of being a speech therapist or special ed teacher, so i can't draw all the time.

Hey everyone its Shay again! Sorry i was gone, exams and such, but now i'm officially on winter break!

So before i left, i had a bunch of requests to draw from y'all as well as on Deviantart. Before i had to stop drawing to study for my exams (which i did pretty well on so that worry is gone yay), i had only a few left to do. Though as i wasn't drawing, i still checked my social media accounts and such every now and then cause i just felt like it ya know. A few people still asked me if they could get a request by me even though my requests were officially closed. Me being the nice person i am, said yes to those. Though that doesn't necessarily mean that i'm officially opening requests right now. It's more like my requests are closed but if you realllllly want me to draw you something, message me and i'll see what i can do. This also applies to art trades as well. This is mostly just due to the fact when i opened them, i got a lot of requests in a short amount of time and it was a bit overwhelming to me since i've never had so many people want that from me ever. I know i'm not the most talented artist and still have a lot to work on, especially certain techniques and anatomy as well as shading. And don't get me started on backgrounds. So basically what i'm saying is that when i opened requests and so many people (at least way more than usual for me personally) wanted them, i felt like i didn't have enough experience and talent to keep up and please everyone. I know that's stupid of me to think that, but it's true. Art doesn't take a few minutes to draw, so it felt like i had so much to do. Also i guess i should have expected to be taken out of my comfort zone by having to draw creatures i've only drawn like once or never for a request, which i couldn't help but feel like i'd make their character look terrible.....i hope y'all understand.
