Okay, so this is mostly me bored at work kind of talking out of my ass and I know this won't get any traction but hey, getting thoughts on "paper" is fun.

Basically a site to make communication between commissioners and artists as effective as possible while opening options for artists to find art they want to do as well.

From an artist's perspective you'd make a profile with art styles and a picture of each, kind of like the commission tab in here, as well as a sort of trello sort of thing so instead of constantly asking artists for their trello or how far along they are you can literally just click the page and bam, updates. Also would have an artist "bio" type thing where they could put down what they like to draw, their schedule if they have one, a general idea of how long it takes you to do a piece from receiving info or payment to completion. I'd even say a ratings system but I know a few people are pretty petty and it'd make it hard to view as a reliable source (though maybe it'd encourage commissioners to PM previous commissioners to ask opinion on how it was working with the artist if you left out a ratings system)

Commissioners would have somewhat similar tools such as an on site place to register who owes them art (maybe the ability to "fave" certain progress branches so they can follow their stuff and possible wips they like the look of). Their bio would allow stuff like a character ref or a few pictures, maybe even a text description for those without pictures, as well as a kink thing, maybe an idea of how long they're willing to wait for art or their price range.

Finally the thing I think would be the bigger draw: "bounties". YCH auctions are super popular with artists. Draw a prepose of something you wanna draw or that you think is an easy sell and wait. But for commissioners, especially picky ones like myself, there's something you don't like about the picture, whether it be the pose or disallowed genders, price point cause auction or any number of things. So basically the idea would be to have a forum of some type as part of the site that works as a bounty board. Artists can still have their YCH things posted to one section, preferably kink or species tagged to make finding content the commissioner likes easier but it opens up the option for commissioners to do the same. Like me? I've been looking for candy gore artists for a while cause it's legit one of my favorite aesthetics ever. I've got ideas for shit I wanna do with it but finding artists that do CG in general, much less ones that like the idea or whatever, is hard. So in my situation I'd go to the forum, post the idea, tag the living hell out of it and wait (or go peek at YCH options on the other part of the board). The idea is that an artist would be able to say "well I wanna draw this species/fetish/aesthetic/style/etc." And could go look for that in the bounties, opening the commissioner up to artists they might not have known existed by having the artist come forth instead. It also sort of works in an artist's favor because if they just don't like the character then they don't even have to say anything, just hide the post and move on. Of course it could work like the normal "open for commissions" journal post or whatever, there'd be no reason to dump that, but I see it as a way of "networking" that gets artists as involved in the hunt for things they enjoy as commissioners are. After all, getting your art out there as an artist is as easy as posting but unless you're a frequent commenter on various and typically popular artists' pages, you don't have as large a presence as a guy who just buys art.

So uh... Yeah. That wasted a good fifteen minutes of my day. Phone keyboards suck. But hey, better than not saying anything at all.

Okay, so we're furries. Simple, yeah? Look at anything we post on any given day and it'll be somewhat suggestive. Nudity or suggestive clothing, inflation of various types, vore, flat out sex, all kinds of fancy garbage like that. I mean I look at my front page on my profile and there's some naked massaging, cross dressing, nudity, showing off swim wear.... But onto the point of it all. See we look at this on the daily, plus whatever other RP or forum or image boards we might get on and those are also filled with similar, though possibly somewhat more tame, images of furry things. But just due to association of furries in general to these more risque things, the average person looking at one's history (at least mine) would think more than 50% of what I do on my computer is looking at porn. I, for the most part, watch youtube, look at pieces that I like as the pass on FA, browse an imageboard or few, idle on f-list pretty much whenever I'm on my computer, and though I'm not doing it to get a rise or whatever, the sheer nature of it would lead the average person to think that my somewhat pricey computer is nothing but a fapbox, and in some way that heavily amuses my tired mind.

Also realizing it's like... Tuesday. So TMI and all that fancy stuff. I'll get to it sometime during lunch or, if my day is slow, during down time at work.

Worse news! I'm not including names and want serious opinions here. See I commissioned a piece about a month ago. Thing is I haven't heard much of anything at all from the guy since. He gave me about one update... and hasn't responded to the half dozen I've left since. Now the update, small as it is, definitely doesn't justify the price I paid. If I leave a note asking for a refund and don't get a reply in about a week, am I justified in forcing a payback through PayPal? It's not for my lack of trying, I genuinely don't wanna do this but I'm not getting hung out to dry while they made what they did and never responded again. I mean I don't mind paying ahead but I never usually have this issue.

Netflix. Worth it? I've done nothing this week but shitpost in my frequently visited sites, barely mod my room and watch a FUCK TON of TF2 gameplay videos and I'm looking to break the rut. Anyone have suggestions on good sites like Netflix or good COMPLETE series (or at the very least ongoing, hate starting a show partway through instead of starting from season one). Shea was my father's name. Blood father. I was adopted off out the womb (Dad's sterile) but Mom wanted to keep the name going so I kept the cat name, took Dad's name as my middle and, of course, have their name.

Okay, this is gonna sound odd but... camping food. Things that're dried out and preserved to last a while or to just be easily transportable. Nuts, jerky, dried fruit... I've even had hardtack before. Wouldn't suggest that last one because that shit's hard enough to survive mortar fire, I swear.... All in all, if I had to choose one thing I'd say jerky of any kind, especially home made, with a preference toward beef and deer.

Yes. But he's, in all honesty, a lot like me. In every single aspect he's me, except physical ones which all circle back to certain moments in my life that developed him. So in a way those count as like me... so... he's like me.

Shea is me. In every way. Loud mouthed, a tad womanizing, loving, awkward beyond belief.... Any time he's roleplayed I just act like myself.

In a few ways. Scruffy, redheaded, green eyed, ragged. Though he's a bit more ragged than me... and lighter, though I'm somewhat working to fix that.

In a sense? I never started with Shea as my fursona. It started with Ervine (who was more of an imaginary friends) when I was younger and then, as time went on and my personality shifted, so did my fursona. I still enjoy reminiscing on the others and playing them out as characters but they're not me anymore.

Do you have a back story for your fursona, if so does it have anything to do with your own history?

I have lots of backstory for him that I only really share with those I get to know. Namely because it does have a lot to do with my real life history and it's a bit... emotionally taxing to talk about. Long story short, the missing arm and cybernetic eye aren't just because I like handicapped characters.

I know I'm watching like... 80 something artists or something but not all of them are open at all times. and the ones who are are either out of my price range or only stick to line art, sketches, doodles, or YCH auctions (the latter of which quickly escalates out of my price range). I know people post their price sheets and I can catch those on the front screen thing but damned if I'm going to sit on the front page refreshing every thirty seconds to catch one of those.

I just want someone who does decent-good work at an affordable price who does custom, not prepose, works and who Doesn't mind throwing their input in at times. some of the best things come from giving an artist varying levels of creative freedom with an idea you propose.

tl;dr does anyone know of a decent artist who's open right now and is preferably going through a phase of art shift or is wanting to experiment with ideas who won't cost me a (remaining) arm and a leg?
