Posted 3 years agoCorel makes a bunch of digital art programs, some you might be tempted to buy, but I'm telling you right now DON'T GET ANYTHING FROM THEM.
I have been jerked around for half a year by customer service trying to get a solution to an issue with my stylus not getting registered on the canvas specifically. I have done my own testing with several stylus' to make sure it's the program having the issue. I have filed over 6 tickets for help, chatted with representatives 4 or more times always getting the same spiel and every single time they have never helped. They cut off contact, deleted tickets, and refuse to help.
I reiterate NEVER GET ANYTHING FROM COREL.

A genuine message about helping
Posted 4 years agoI don't really know how to start this off but here goes.
Helping can be done in so many forms, whether it's donating to someone so they can get out of a tight spot, or feeding a hungry bird in the park; there is something about it that is alleviating. It gives you that feeling of "I did something good today" even if it wasn't much. Helping is a huge act just for what it is though no matter what form it takes. Sending money can be just as impactful as spending a full week advertising and trying to draw attention to someone or something in need. The fact is you are putting effort forward to improve their situation and that deserves to be commended; but you do not help with the expectation of getting something in return. You help with the knowledge that you may get nothing in return and that shows that it is a pure expression of your faith and "goodness" in what you are doing.
Personally, I feel receiving something in exchange for helping is not helping at all. It is being contracted similarly to a job. This is different from being given a gift for your help. To reiterate, a helping action is doing something with no expectation of return. It is investing your effort even if it is only a little in something or someone. Being given a gift is a show of consideration from someone, You would have no idea you are receiving it until it is presented to you.
Now this is not to promote helping despite your current situation. We are in a world state where complications, struggles, and mishaps happen all the time. Take care of yourself and make sure you have what you need before helping others. It's not good to help someone but then be put in a space where you, yourself need help. That would make the person you helped feel guilty in some way shape or form. Do what you can, but not to an extent that it harms you and your well being. This is no reason or justification to be selfish by any means. Maintain your well being so that you can help others who may not be as fortunate as you are.
TLDR; Help people when you can and it isn't going to cause you to suffer instead. Don't expect anything from helping, but if you get a gift accept it. Don't be selfish but know what you need to keep yourself maintained.

Hey guys, RP stories with art, or without?
Posted 5 years agoI've been thinking of putting stories together with art that I either commission or draw myself but it would take a while to get each out.
That being said if I don't have to worry about art I could release the Rp logs and stories more frequently.

I could let people choose three from a large bundle or make each background worth a set amount and the person gets to pick backgrounds that meet the cost of their commission.

Posted 8 years agoSo. I've been seeing "win a date with..." a lot, and all of them are money, but to be honest, I wish that some would be won with the best and most enjoyable RP(roleplay. ) for the artist. It's a good idea and can spark the images and imagination.
