I hope everyone had a great first day of 2019! Here are some updates:

1. As always, I moved all my past year's art to my scraps. I do this every year to start my gallery fresh.
2. I will hopefully be coming up with a new price sheet soon. I plan on doing more art this year if I can.
3. I got a vinyl cutter and heat press for Christmas so I will be starting to make vinyl decals and maybe even shirts or other products soon.
4. I am still waiting to have that free tail raffle. I just can't seem to reach 1000 watchers D: I seem to be stuck around 986.
5. I am pondering starting a patreon. I don't know if anyone would become a patreon for me but it doesn't hurt to try right?

I know it is almost over for everyone but I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope you all have had a wonderful day and got to spend it doing things you like doing.

It's that time of year again where thousands of people think it's sexy to put candy canes in their vaginas and anuses. STOP IT! JUST STOP IT! I have seen at least 200 pictures in the last 2 weeks with candy canes in people's nethers. It annoys me to no end. Candy canes do NOT GO THERE! I know it's just art but some people are stupid enough to try that for real. Let me let you in on a little secret, my ex thought it would be fun to take one of those big peppermint sticks and use it as a toy on me. First off, have you ever been sucking on a sucker or something and it gets a tiny hole in it from an air bubble in the candy? And you get a cut on your tongue? That can happen down there too...and then the peppermint oil gets in there and burns like a motherfucker. Then it's sticky too...good luck getting that stickiness out of yourself.
So please....artists....people...STOP PUTTING CANDY CANES IN HOLES THAT AREN'T YOUR MOUTH!!! It's not sexy, it's unsanitary, unsafe, and painful as fuck...

As some of you know, my cat Buddy has been having a lot of medical issues lately. Well Tuesday night/Wednesday morning he had to be rushed to the emergency vet. If we wouldn't have checked on him before going to bed it is very likely that he would have been gone by morning. He was unresponsive, his body temperature was very low, and he was having seizures every 5-10 minutes. We quickly took him to the emergency vet and they were able to stabilize him enough to be transferred to his normal vet in the morning after Varaleo's barium swallow test.
Just the emergency vet visit was over $500 (almost $600). He has been at his regular vet since Wednesday so we are looking at another $500 to $600 at least.
I know I have asked this before but it is really urgent this time. If anyone would be willing to help out we would be forever grateful.

The world lost a wonderful man today. Stan Lee has passed away at the age of 95. His work will forever live on but he will be missed. I knew this day was coming but it doesn't make it any easier. I feel like I have lost a close family member.

I am just a bit behind due to RL stuff. I promise though that I am not giving up on them. I have actually been having a lot of fun with them.

I want to thank all of you for the kind comments on my last journal. My great grandma was laid to rest last Tuesday with lots of family present. We had a beautiful service in her honor and then a second smaller graveside service in the town she grew up. Afterwards, we went to my cousin's restaurant for a dinner. I will miss my great grandma very much but I am happy to know she is with her husband again. I got to stay behind and watch as they lowered her casket into the vault and then into the ground. As they did, I saw my great grandpa's (her husband) concrete vault. It was bittersweet seeing that.

Again, thank you all. I am doing ok. It was rough seeing her like that, but I am happy she is no longer in pain.

My great grandma passed away this morning. She was 12 days shy of her 93rd birthday. I will be ok. I am actually happy, because now she is no longer in pain.

August 28th 1925 - August 16th 2018

So I picked up my Buddy on Monday and they told me they wanted me to bring him in twice a week for IV fluids. I don't know how long they want me to do this, because they don't know what is wrong with him. They don't know what is causing his kidneys to not work properly so they can't fix it. We may have to do this for the rest of his life. The biggest problem is, it's going to get really expensive really fast. Not only because of the fluids and everything, but the gas to take him there twice a week. The vet is in another town (about 16 miles one way) and so it will add up pretty fast.

This is all on top of dealing with a couple other things that are going on right now. My mate, Varaleo, has been having some gastrointestinal issues and we are worried his past surgery is failing. He has to go in for a scope on Monday. This is further stretching our funds really thin.

Also, I found out yesterday that my great grandma has fallen into a coma and isn't expected to come out of it. I went to visit her yesterday afternoon. We have been expecting this for at least a year, it just sucks when it finally does happen. She will turn 93 in 13 days. But probably won't last that long...

Please consider helping us. I can't offer much in return unless you don't mind waiting a bit for art. I admit that I am very slow due to health issues (both physical and mental) so please keep that in mind if wishing to commission me.

I called today and they said that he could come home. So we went down there to pick him up and then we find out that he is still having diarrhea and they want us to take him home and give him an IV. I don't feel comfortable trying to give my scrawny, almost 9 year old cat an IV. Plus, Varaleo and I are supposed to go out of town tomorrow and so we wouldn't be able to keep an eye on him. My mom was going to be taking care of my cats while we were gone and there is no way she could keep an eye on him either. So after expressing our concerns with what they wanted us to do, they offered to board him for us until Monday. It's an additional $15 a night, but it will insure that he gets his medication and fluids properly. As well as continued monitoring of the diarrhea.
The bill today was $324, this does not include his boarding until Monday. So with last time and this time, the total is $695. Boarding will be an additional $60 so that equals $755.

So my old boy, Buddy, started acting weird again. He started stumbling and falling a lot. He couldn't jump up on stuff anymore (he'd try and fail). If he did manage to get up on something, when he would jump down, he'd fall after landing. I was worried it was his sodium levels again, so I gave him a bit of wet food. Something the dr suggested I do last time. Unfortunately that gave him explosive diarrhea about 12 hours later. Which prompted me to take him to the vet yesterday. They did some tests and found that his pancreas, a kidney, and something else (I have forgotten what it was now) was elevated and so they decided to keep him for a couple days. Unfortunately this means that we'll have more vet bills. So to try and help pay for them, I am accepting donations. I will try and draw something for those that donate. I would open for commissions, but to be honest, I suffer from art block a lot and take just way too long to draw for people.

So with that said, I don't know how much I will owe yet, but I know it will be at least $100. Plus I never came up with the $371 from last time. The bills are paid in full because we use our credit card, but that needs to be paid back. This is what this money would go towards.

It's been really quiet around here. How is everyone doing?

Life
Life has pretty much been the same. I still have my ups and downs. Though none have been as bad as almost 3 months ago (my last two journals). I am happy that I survived that episode. And I am thankful for the people that helped me and didn't try to guilt me about it.

Commissions
So I am pretty much always open for commissions. All you have to do is ask and I will let you know if I think I can do it or am willing to try. I have a Ko-fi and will do drawings for those that donate. I also accept tips and donations. I am unemployed and am having trouble finding work that I can do. So anything helps.

Etc
I have created a new species (and am working on a second as well) and will be selling adopts of it soon.

Well, I am alive. My fear of pain and my laziness saved me. I was too lazy to get up to get the bottle of pills. And too afraid that it would hurt.
Also, I love my mom and mate too much. I couldn't do that to them. So I guess you guys are stuck with me.

If I died today, would anyone notice I was gone? Would anyone even care? Or would I just be another "drama llama" looking for attention? Maybe I'll find out.

Yep, just turned 28 yesterday.

Despite it being a super special year (10 year anniversary) and I have been to all but 2, I more than likely won't be attending. There are several reasons. The main one being the fact that I hate staying at the campsite and so does my mate. Why do we hate it? Because we are sick and tired of rude bunk mates slamming doors, blaming us for stuff we didn't do, and having loud sex any hours of the day or night. So because of this we would want to stay at a hotel, but we just can't justify spending that much money on top of the registration, fuel, and food, because the food at the con sucks tbh. They try to go way too fancy for a camping con. Whatever happened to hamburgers and hotdogs, ya know....camp food!?!
Also, I just don't seem to have friends there anymore. My mate and I usually just sit in the mess hall alone, we can do that at home, for free.
So with that, I wouldn't expect to see me at Wild Nights. If you do, it'll be a miracle.

A really good friend of mine is having some financial issues. She and her boyfriend have fallen on hard times and could really use some help. This year I have two kinds of calendars; aircraft and nature :)
Orders will be sent to the printer on the 15th. I can't guarantee that they will be here by Christmas, but I will do my best.

I had to take my cat to the vet Friday. He had been acting funny and was just getting worse. I took him to the vet and they had to keep him over the weekend. He was severely dehydrated, his kidney levels were a little elevated, and his sodium levels were off the charts. I picked him up today and he is feeling much better, though he's still a bit wobbly and seems a little disoriented still. That's to be expected. They said he had something called sodium neuronarcosis or something like that. Basically sodium poisoning and it will take a bit for him to get to feeling better. I have to take him back Friday to get his levels checked again. And if they are elevated again, they they will have to do more tests and they are apparently pricey :(

Thankfully we were able to pay the bill in full with our credit card, but now I need to pay off that credit card and possibly prepare for future bills.
I might be able to do a few commissions, but right now I could really use some donations. I can do little doodles for those that donate. And of course you would have my thanks.

Haven't done this in awhile O.o
Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know that I have done some updating to my page. I removed my "work hours" because let's face it...I just work when I can. I have now created a "Workload" journal. You can find a link to it on my profile. Lastly, I have finally updated my commissions tab! Feel free to go check it out! Any feedback is welcome as long as it's constructive. Please remember that commissions are CLOSED right now, so please don't ask for anything. I will post when they are open.

Also, this weekend is going to be super busy. Friday I have my usual Wichita Area Furmeet to host/attend. Then Saturday I will be selling perlers at a small comic con in my home town. Sunday I will be suiting at a Halloween event hosted by a charity that my group helps out. It's called Tails and Spells and is hosted by K9-Karma Animal Advocates.

After this weekend I have to focus all my efforts on getting ready for Fur Feast. It is our 7th year (6th in a row) and is November 11th-12th. I am super excited for this year but I can't wait for it to be over so I can finally relax a bit lol!
