Hey everyone! It's come to my attention that people have sort of missed out on a lot of things over the last year and a half.

I don't really go by Sheela anymore or draw this kind of content. I left Monster Gang (for the most part, I will be occasionally doing commission work for Monster Gang) and I have been streaming on twitch full time.

I had to take a break due to a bad injury that required surgery, but I am easing back into life and excited to start drawing again. That said, I still will not be posting here.

And I hope that you can respect my decision to move on from drawing Giantess/Fetish content for a living. I'm a lot happier than I was now, even with how hard things have been over the last year. Cyanide and I are almost done with the 8th hot as hell comics, and after it's up for sale we'll be taking some time to make a new patch of storyboards for the webcomic, maybe some short free comics and more Hot as Hell comics.

During that time, I'll be taking commissions publicly for the first time in I wanna say 5 years? Possibly longer, I can't remember the last time I was publicly open.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post a little update about what we’ve been working on!

We ended out break about a week ago and have been toiling away on storyboards since. Outworld Oddities is storyboarded all the way up until the end of chapter 1, and the concept for chapter 2 is planned.

In other news, we’ve also been hard at work storyboarding the next Hot as Hell comic.

After we’ve completed storyboarding that, we’re gonna be going into production of the remainder of Chapter 1 of Outworld Oddities full swing! We hope you’ll all enjoy seeing Atsuko making her return!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update and clarification on Cyanide and I's workload at present.

Currently, we're working on two comics at once. One is Hot as Hell 6, which features the return of Rae and her favorite plaything. The other is Hot as Hell 2.5, which we're releasing on a per-page basis for free while we work on the 6th comic. Hot as Hell 2.5 features Neema and Yuki doing the things we hinted at in the background of Hot as Hell 2 but was never shown.

Been getting a lot of requests for Atsuko recently, so I figured I'd lay out what we're working on and why! At present, we're working to strike a nice balance of free content versus pay content. We're hoping that in time the patreon will grow enough so we can just give away everything for free! But since we had to work on another comic to put up for sale and we had people showing interest in Neema and Yuki, we thought it would be a great idea to work on something with a less strict upload schedule so you're still getting something for free while we work on the pay project.

That being said, don't worry! We have EVERY intention of continuing on with Atsuko's story and the Neema & Yuki story will likely extend into production of then next Atsuko one (that means double the free content! Whoo!) so you have plenty to look forward to. We hope you enjoy our work in the meantime!

My tablet has unfortunately died. It's been having issues for a while now and yesterday was the last straw I guess. It's buttons and touch wheel are completely fried, and that's on top of constantly shorting out because the port is fucked.

So, it's time for a new one.

My intention had been to buy one after this comic was completed, which was supposed to be this month. I was literally inking the last 2 of 24 pages when this happened, and about half of it is shaded, 22 pages flatted.

I have a shitty tablet to tide me over, but it's layout is completely different from what I'm used to and it has no touch wheel which is unfortunate because I've been using the small intuos pro for like 5 years now, and I'm kind of used to that layout. Had one when the side panel was all shiny still.

So yeah. I tossed together a ko-fi page a while back and I updated it with a goal of getting a new tablet.

I hate asking for help, as you all know. I haven't in ages for that reason. But I'm not left with too much of a choice.

If you can help, it's appreciated. If not, circulating this is also appreciated.

I talked about it on twitter but for those that don’t follow me there, the appointment didn’t go well and I ended up breaking down in the office. The doctor was rude because it was a new clinic, first time there, and they didn’t have my information on hand as a result even though I gave them permission and I had my appointment set up for over a week. So they talked to me like I was self diagnosing when I was just parroting what doctors had already told me.

In the end, the doctor did several different kinds of exams and though I still have an infection it’s no where near as bad as it was and she is actually saying my pain is probably not even related to the infection at all.

After that I was really short with her because I’ve been treated for nothing but this for months, told this was the source of my pain, etc. She commented saying “You seem upset” and I just go off, I start bawling because of the stress of it all. Six months of this and I just have trouble taking it and I’ve had a lot of rude doctors over time, I think this one was probably the worst, worse than the first doctor that just rushed through everything because she just talked to me like I was a complete idiot.

My healthcare coordinator is coming over on Monday. We’re going to plan a visit to my normal doctor (set of doctors, really, they rotate). They’ll give me an exam and hopefully they’ll stop saying that it’s just the pills I’m on and treat me for the pain, do more testing, something. I can’t take it anymore and I don’t feel like I should have to.

I have an appointment tomorrow, I’ve been trying to keep things up on twitter. This past month has been pretty horrible for pain and I sort of melted down after I was told by my primary care doctor that I just had to “wait a few months” to see if the pain just goes away.

That’s not really something I’m willing to accept.

The people that helped us find our apartment after the fire referred me to a healthcare planning service and we have a bunch planned, including getting me signed up for a medical taxi so I don’t burn through my funds on all this medical stuff. But most importantly it means I’ll be getting proper care rather than my cruddy doctors that I’ve gone back to 5 times for the same issue and gotten no where with.

Hopefully this means that I’ll be getting rid of this infection sooner rather than later and I’ll be on the road to recovery. I’ll slowly be able to work more and more. For a week straight I wasn’t able to sit up at all, it just hurt so bad that I could barely walk to the bathroom. Sitting up hurts and causes nausea and makes me ill.

Every so often I complain about it on twitter. I try to keep people updated. But the long and short of it is, I just figure people don’t want to hear about it anymore. My luck has always been a sort of in-joke with how bad it is. I just feel like people think “Oh that Sheela with her problems again, I wish she’d stop complaining and just get back to work.”

It puts me into a pretty deep depression, not working. It’s been really rough on me. Believe it or not, I really enjoy working. Putting out content, being social and creative. Currently, I can’t really do any of that. I can barely get out a sketch on my good days. Which is why Patreon has been so important to me lately.

I understand why people have been leaving, reducing their patronage vastly, etc. The fake patrons are probably what hurt the most but every time I see someone lower their patronage because I can’t currently work I beat myself up about it. On some level I understand, I’m not producing content and I know that’s sort of the point, to support an artist so they can produce content. But at the same time, having some source of income in my time of need when it’s getting to the point where paying bills has become a struggle and getting food has become an issue, it just sets me back emotionally to see support waning for what’s happened. How can I recover without support?

I understand why, I understand some people can’t afford it and it’s necessary, and I don’t know if it’s selfish to think this way or not. It just makes me feel bad about myself and my inability to work.

All I can say is how sorry I am, how useless it makes me feel, and hope that things will turn around sooner rather than later. Hope that I’ll stop being sick soon, hope that going to this new doctor will pay off. I have always had a slew of health issues but I’ve never let them get in the way. This is the first time that something has made me really physically unable, and it’s just been one thing after another since the fire. The infection was caused by antibiotics I had to take for my fire-related injuries, and it’s just sort of sticking with me all these months, getting worse and worse until we’ve gotten to where we are now.

And I’m sorry. I’m sorry I need help, I’m sorry I haven’t been able to work, I’m sorry that my doctors haven’t been able to properly fix the issue. All I can do is hope. It’s just increasingly hard to do so. Every time they put me on medication, I get my hopes up when I start to feel better, I move back to my real PC and my real work space, and then a week later I’m right back in bed. It’s just getting harder to keep my head up about the whole situation and it’s gotten scarier as time has gone on. I just haven’t wanted to address it. I’ve wanted to appear strong and brave and not make people worry. People have worried about us ever since we lost our apartment. I want to be okay more than anything. I don’t know how much longer it’ll be.

For those of you that decide to stick around while I’m healing, it means a lot. I’ll try to draw as much as I can. You’re all basically the only thing keeping me afloat right now, so thank you. I don’t know what I’d do without you helping us right now.

I've been MIA for a while on here, but I've been talking on tumblr. I'm alright obviously, jut chugging along. I did get bronchitis and I had to sleep for like two weeks straight, it sucked but I'm getting better. I'm back to work on the comic I've been working on starting today. We’re at our new place. It’s empty but it as a bed so at least we can sleep and I can try to work in it. Mainly just sore from going up and down the stairs so much. There have been some setbacks with people breaking some furniture promises and I’ve lost a lot of patrons after the fire, but hopefully things will turn around. A friend went to buy me one of the office chairs on my wishlist and there was a payment glitch so it showed as me having 1 of 2 purchased even though I didn’t. However when he went to fix it and buy it properly, the item was no longer on the wishlist. This could mean one of two things. Either the glitch took both items off the list, or someone bought the second chair. I need to know if someone bought it so we don’t end up getting an extra chair.
