By the by, it's Jet's birthday soon...
Posted 12 years agoJet's birthday is on the 20th, and he doesn't really want anything material. He really just wants people to write a little scenario as a gift, any length you prefer, of your character sitting on a shrunken city (Aware or unaware). If you can draw and you feel like doing it that way, that works too but he's not really asking for anything difficult.
It'd make him super super happy. So I thought I'd put something up about it.

Super Sheela's Super Art Collection! [UPDATE]

This is a pack of everything I've drawn as far back as 2006 and as recent as 12/6/2013. This includes the sketches for some completed pictures, comic concepts, personal things that were never uploaded, et cetera. All for the convenience of any avid fan of my work. Over 1,800 images for 15 bucks. If nothing else, it saves you from saving ALL of those pictures and you get to see a few things you've never seen!

I GOT A NEW COMPUTER! B:
I just can't use it yet. There were some complications with monitor-getting but it's going to be awesome and I'm super excited to use it since it means streaming will be a lot lighter on my PC and my USB ports won't always disconnect, and my CPU won't be going nuts just from opening up Chrome while I stream.
I'm HOPING to be able to purchase a monitor this month. But I don't know for sure. Wish me luckkk. Gotta save up for it.

Art Slave Auction!
Posted 12 years agoHeya guys! So, after some consideration, I've decided to auction off my drawin' skills in an Art Slave Auction (And I thank 
Daigo for the idea)! This means that a lot of the things that I normally don't draw or simply don't pick in a timely manner in my normal commission streams are free game and you can ask for them. Not just for micro/macro things! c:
Bidding:
The bidding will start at 75 USD for 3 hours of work. At 150 USD, I'll bump it to 4 hours and 250 USD will be 5 hours.
Bidding should be in increments of 5 USD to keep things neat.
Bidding starts NOW, and will end at 11:59 PM EST on July 27th.

I'll have a timer going to count down the amount of time that you have for drawing, and if I need to take a break, I will pause it and record the time to make sure you aren't losing out. Asking for changes, etc will obviously count towards your time, however.
You can choose whatever level of completion you want, rough sketch through full ink and color. But remember that you're buying the time, not the image. No matter what, I will always finish out the sketch that I am working on regardless of if it goes over time limit so there will be no half-finished ideas!
Feel free to inquire about my speed. 5 hours is definitely enough for a full ink and color, for instance. But it can also be a hell of a lot of sketches.

Krithea suggested that I do one of those art-slave auctions where you auction off an allotted about of time (2-5 hours, usually) and draw whatever the winner wants. It'd prolly be similar to Daigo's set up if I did it. ( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4829959/ ) though my times are different. I mean, for instance, I did 5 sketches in one day on Saturday but doing a full detailed ink today took me about... Three and a half hours? Four? Either way, the limits would be more lax than with my normal commissions.

Posted 12 years agoWhen it's unplugged it says it's at 95%, plugged in it says that it's at 95% and not charing for a second before saying "100% fully charged".
I'll be getting a new computer at the beginning of august but I can't afford my computer dying before then. My choices are to keep it plugged in and I don't know what will happen if that's the case, or to get a new batters, which isn't cheap.

This includes scenarios with the characters in game (residents and NPCs) and one I'm really excited to do, pictures of your mayors or your characters AS your mayors! Would require a shot of your mayor but I'd LOVE to do that.
All commission requests on this journal are still completely valid. I just wanted to let people know that Animal crossing stuff is super SUPER wanted and I'm willing to do them!

I went to the doctor today.
Posted 12 years agoHe was kind of a jerk and ignored everything I said was wrong, I didn't tell him what i thought it was, just where it hurt and he dismissed it all. He swore that it was a pulled muscle even though I did nothing that would pull it.
He put it in a sling and gave me the anti inflammatory meds that I needed no matter what it was. My arm starting hurting ridiculously after a few hours so I took it out of the sling and I bought a splint and it's in that now. It hurts a lot less, which leads me to believe that the doctor was wrong, and a jerk for refusing to listen to me in the first place and dismissing my pain.
If it isn't gone in a few days I'm going back but hopefully the med and splint do the trick.

Posted 12 years agoI appreciate all of the help you've given me. I've put the money through from my paypal to my bank and I should be able to get checked out this week. Hopefully it's nothing serious and it's easily fixed, it has all the symptoms of the ulnar nerve entrapment and I know it didn't hurt before three days ago so it's early, and shouldn't be too terribly hard to fix. I may need to rest it. I hope I don't need to. Because that would be some crappy timing with my plan to do commissions for bills this month.
Either way, working tomorrow. Gonna either try to finish inking or if that's too much pain, I'll color. As much work as I can possibly do.
Thank you all again. Really. I'm so happy that you care about me enough to help, losing my ability to draw is basically my greatest fear.

I have to ask for donations for medical reasons.
Posted 12 years agoOn top of doing commissions this month, I have to ask for donations. I don't want to but two days ago I started getting pain when I bent my elbow. Today, it hasn't gone away. I can't tell if it's the same or if it's worse, but it's one or the other. Either way, I looked it up today because I was worried with it being my drawing arm and all, and I'm pretty sure it's ulnar nerve entrapment mainly because it hurts to bend it, it goes from my neck down to my shoulder all the way to my 4th and 5th finger and it hurts to bend it, also there's a slight tingly feeling and just an overall increase in sensitivity to the arm, especially to temperature.
Evidently if it gets bad enough it can require surgery. If it doesn't, they can use injections or just exercises but either way I'm trying not to think about it too much. I just want to get it checked. I'm terrified of getting surgery and I can't afford it, either. Usually I just trudge through pain but since it's my drawing arm, I'm beyond paranoid and I don't want to leave it this way.
I'll be opening up commissions starting on either next Monday or next Wednesday, and I need to make a minimum of 750 dollars for rent and bills but now I also need to pay for a checkup, they make you pay 40 dollars up front at the clinic (Plus taxi fare, 10 dollars each way) and I don't have health insurance, and I don't know if they'll make me go back multiple times. I don't think the emergency room will see it as much of an emergency so I don't even want to bother with that. You're not supposed to do things that make it hurt, and drawing makes it hurt a little bit, but in my current situation, what choice do I really have? That's why I want to get it looked at and taken care of as soon as possible because I guess it can cause muscle in the arm and hand to deteriorate. I'm legitimately terrified of anything happening to my arm/hand. So any help would be appreciated and I feel like crap having to ask for help in the first place, especially since I haven't been active on here because of my comic work. I'm just really scared, honestly, and I didn't know what else to do.
Edit: Also, I'm thinkin' pony preposes. What do you guys think and what would you want to see? Doing one of Cadance riding a YourCharacterHere dummy right now.

Posted 12 years agoIf you wanted a commission from me and were bummed that I haven't been doing streams anymore, this coming month will be your lucky chance. I'm going to be doing either a few streams or straight up commission slots as well as some YCH commissions (probably some ponies and some non ponies). Streams may be iffy because my computer is always so angry at me but I know I'll be able to do the other options.
So count your pennies and look forward to it! Prices are still listed in the links on the header of the journal.
In a little bit of a pinch this month due to some unforeseen (and other slightly foreseen) circumstances, all money will be going towards bills and food. You know, the important stuff! :D And if I can make enough extra, two digital copies of Animal Crossing. Only if I make the total 750+ I'll need though. :>
