Birthday!
Posted 12 years agoI wanted to thank everyone that wished me a happy birthday. <3
Thank you for the air conditioner!
Posted 12 years agoI woke up from my nap today to find the last thing I expected had been delivered by UPS. Someone purchased me the air conditioner from my wishlist. So this journal is an attempt to find out who it was, and to thank them. You don't know how much it means to me. Thank you so, so much.
Edit: Thank you thank you thank you, Katelyn! I really can't express my gratitude enough!

Birthday Wishlist!
Posted 12 years agoOr rather, wishlist in general. A chunk of people have begun to ask me what I want for my birthday this year. With my PC being nearly dead, I've made a bit of a hobby out of making wishlists. So, since people are asking I decided I'd make a journal posting up my wishlist.
It's set up to allow people to buy without needing my address or anything. The price range is pretty huge, from really cheap things to really expensive things. I like to keep track so I know what to buy when I have spare money.
So, here it is! http://amzn.com/w/3JEY26VOVFLAT
Now you guys can stop askin'! :p

The Snack Shack: Summer Fun Edition!
Posted 12 years agoI forgot to post journals about it on my gallery sites so I'll do that now. :V A week late.
I came out with a new comic/portfolio called "The Snack Shack: Summer Fun Edition". 100% oral vore. Lots of it. You can see the advert here: (Click)
It's for sale on GiantessKatelyn.com (Click) and on my e-junkie page (Click) that I'm testing out. If it doesn't make enough sales to warrant paying for it every month, I'll just allow people to pay that way privately.
Check it out!
(Note: Purchasing through e-junkie is a dollar more than purchasing through GiantessKatelyn.com. This is to encourage people to use that method of purchase. However if you require the convenience of e-junkie, the option is there for the price of an extra dollar.)

So I made a side Tumblr Blog...
Posted 12 years agoAs several of you may know, I have a tumblr, as well as an art blog.
I decided, after having a lot of text-based posts, asks, and question/answer sessions on my art blog about my paid content that I am selling over at GiantessKatelyn.com, that I would make a side blog completely devoted to just that content. This includes concept art, chatter about current and future comics & folios, and the opportunity to pitch your ideas to me for consideration in future comics.
That blog can be found here! (Click!)
You can toss me an ask, a comment, an email, whatever you prefer. Either way, if you're interested in just my paid content and want to filter out the commissions, keep an eye on it! I'll of course still be using my art blog, and they'll likely reblog from one another on occasion.

Last Call For Commissions is Over
Posted 12 years agoIf you've already gotten your email in, then they're in for consideration. Not accepting any new emails.
Update: Health & Last Call on Commissions
Posted 12 years agoAlright, I've got some things I need to tell you guys about. News, updates, et cetera. I'm going to split it up into sections to make it easier to comprehend.
• Health update:
I'm getting over the flu, it's on it's tail end. I'm feeling fine, honestly. I still have a little bit of a cough but all of the other more extreme symptoms have gone away. No more lung and throat pain, no more fever or dizziness or shivering. So it looks like I'm out of the woods.
• Last call on commissions:
After some talk and a lot of contemplating, I've decided that I'm not going to do commission streams anymore. Or at least no where near as often. Once in a while, when I feel like streaming, I will. This also means I'm doing a last call for commissions. All ideas that you have and really want done should be emailed to sheelashrapnel@gmail.com. The way things are going to work is if I decide to do you commission, payment must be received after the sketch is complete and then I'll move on to completing the image. However this isn't going to happen for much longer, with good reason.
I streamed commissions for seven months. Somewhere along the line, it stopped being enjoyable and got to being more of a mechanical chore. I just worked. It hit really hard in December after some incidents that I'd rather not publicize or make anyone else scrutinize. But what matters is, I just don't feel like working that way anymore. I'll still stream every once in a while but all commission queries will be through email and it'll be more like a normal set up with a commission list. This gives me time to finish the commissions that I owe people (Maniko, Brenderlin, Naigo, Hida). Owed commissions will be getting more attention either starting next month, or the month after that once things are more settled in and I build up some steam. If anyone wants a refund instead, that will also be an option in the coming months.
If you're interested in being part of my last call for new commissions, send an email to me. Other than that, I'm sorry for those that enjoyed my daily streams. For those that really want more MLP art, it will probably be slowing down significantly. Though I might still do the occasional MLP auction or prepose to indulge you.
• Reason for Last Call:
With a new year comes new goals and responsibilities. I enjoy drawing. It's one of my few talents. But making a living from commissions was never really the way I wanted to do it. It was always a temporary thing. It's a little too flip-floppy to be solid because there might be months when no new people want things from me, or streams where people are scarce (Another reason why I'm not requiring people to be in streams for commissions anymore if and when I do take them). This has been an issue. I've also drawn things that I didn't feel like drawing, and I always worry that they come out uninspired and that the commissioner will not enjoy them.
That was the issue with commissioning that consistently for me. I did commissions between 5 and 7 days a week, for between 5 and 12 hours a day. And it got to the point where I just didn't want to draw anymore. I've just been pushing and pushing, and looking for time to do what I really wanted to, which was working on comics for GiantessKatelyn.com.
Well, I've been given the opportunity to do just that. And the reason for the last call is because I will be working for GiantessKatelyn.com doing folios and comics full time now. That's what I've always wanted to do. To get on the ball and start producing comics consistently, using that as the foothold for my cost of living expenses. It will mean that you get to see your favorite characters that I design in folios and in stories specifically about them and their worlds.
Not to mention, I was thinking about the possibility of even roughing out comics and setting them up like the “your character here” commissions, where people can buy a slot to star in a comic or folio. But that's just a possibility, and only if people took interest in that sort of concept.
Either way, I'm very excited for this. My New Year's resolution was to shift to working on comics as my source of income and the opportunity was just presented to me and you can't imagine how happy I am about that. You can look forward to finally seeing my second comic finished (which is already all sketched and scripted and even partially inked and colored. About half is inked already.) and the folio that I had started this summer when I moved before I got caught up in commissions full time. And lots more comics too. I have at least 10 comics & things of the sort generally planned already. Characters designed, plots being worked on. Even a choose-your-own-adventure style digital graphic novel that Jet and I will be collaborating on. Expect some furry comics in the future too!
However I will be taking a cue from Katelyn and do a lot like she is doing, which means I won't be talking about any of my projects in public until they are in the final stages, simply because it puts a lot of pressure on me.
And that's all my news! I want to thank all of you for being so supportive towards me over the past year with my move and I can only hope that my fans will be just as supportive to me now. :>

Update: Sick.
Posted 13 years agoI'm currently pretty sick so streaming takes a lot out of me. I'm working as I can but since I don't have any new commissions, it means I'm not really making any cash.I was thinking about doing a commission list instead for a little while but I'm not really sure about it. I suppose it would depend on what ideas people came to me with.
would that be something that you guys would be interested in? Good old fashioned commission-list style commissions?
Either way, I'll think about it. Hopefully I'll be better soon. I finished off a whole bottle of Nyquil over the weekend. It hurts to swallow and my throat is all read and swollen.
If I take a list of commissions, it would still work the same way. I'd tell you if I didn't like the idea or didn't want to do it in general. Feel free to approach me about the concept of normal commissions by emailing me at sheelashrapnel@gmail.com. I like to keep all my commission stuff in order.

Types of payment accepted:
I currently only accept two types of payment; Paypal and Amazon Giftcard. In both instances, payment must be sent to sheelashrapnel@gmail.com. No e-checks, please.
How commission streams work:
• 1. Post your ideas on the newest Commission Stream Request journal entry (Or email them in, if you don't have an FA account). As many as you want! The more the better. Have references. Text or picture, picture greatly preferred (Feel free to use multiple references for different features of a character if you lack a complete one). Don't forget to specify if you want a sketch or lineart as well as +color no no color!
• 2. Enter the stream (There are some special circumstances in which I'll allow a commissioner to not be present in the stream, but it is highly discouraged as it makes this process take longer and sketch streams are generally all about speed.)
• 3. If your idea is chosen, I'll give you a ballpark figure for the commission. This is subject to slight change, but nothing extravagant. Pay attention to the chat, as I'll ask periodically if everything is looking fine and I'll keep an eye on the chat to see if anything needs to be changed.
• 4. Once the image is complete, I'll mention the official final price of the image in the chat, after factoring in extra details that may have been asked for and difficulty of the drawing. I'll also put my paypal email in the chat.
• 5. Once the payment has been received, I'll link the image in the chat.
Refusal Policy:
I reserve the right to refuse any commissions, as I see fit. I am in no way obligated to accept any/all commissions asked of me by potential commissioners. Ultimately, what commissions I decide to take or decide to refuse is up to me.
Adjustment Policy:
All commission prices will be quoted upfront. After the final price and the chosen complexity of the image have been agreed upon and paid for, if more details or changes are required after the image has been inked the price can be adjusted accordingly to compensate for changes made and time spent.
Agreement:
Upon initiating a request to purchase a commission from me, you agree to my process in full and are expected to have read through the entirety of my commission information and terms of service in full.
Stream Rules:
• 1. Under no circumstances are you to complain about how things are run. I work this way because it's the easiest way for me to get several things done in a short amount of time. I pick the things that I will enjoy drawing the most or that are the easiest for me. The more inspired I am to draw the image, the better it will come out.
• 2. There will be no slandering in the chatroom or direct attacks on people. Joking is fine but any serious misbehavior will result in banning from the chatroom and likely banning from future Super Sheela Streams. This also includes complaining about whatever subject I am currently drawing. Passing comments about preferences are allowed of course but if it is really harped on, I'll have no choice but to ban the offender.
• 3. Enjoy the stream! I do this because it's supposed to be fun and I like talking to you guys and letting you watch me draw. So, have fun!

Christmas List for those curious about gift-giving!
Posted 13 years agoI plopped it into the stream a little while ago, but if you guys are interested in getting Jet or myself any gifts for Christmas after I made that last journal about gift returns (or Jet's Birthday next month on the 20th), I set up some public amazon lists for people to purchase things for us through without having to ask our address.
The lists are labeled depending on who they are for (most of them are for me because Jet doesn't like to browse Amazon as much as I do).
http://amzn.com/w/3JEY26VOVFLAT
After it's been shipped you can either comment to me or note me or WHATEVER so I can compile a list of people that got us gifts, and I'll be taking a whole day on Christmas or the day after Christmas to draw for you guys. :>

How commission streams work:
• 1. Post your ideas on the newest Commission Stream journal entry (Or email them in, if you don't have an FA account). As many as you want! The more the better. Have references. For those that purchased Jet and I any Christmas gifts...
Posted 13 years agoAfter they have been fully delivered and whatnot, give me a holler here and tell me what is from who, so I can plan my gifts accordingly :>
I want to do a stream of sketches for people who got us gifts. Anyone that spent more than 50 bucks will get an icon too just because just a sketch in return for an awesome gift that would cost that much wouldn't be enough in my eyes. <3

Clarification on Auctions/Early Auction End on Celestia
Posted 13 years agoRight now, I have four auctions planned. The Royal Ladies of Equestria sort of thing. First it was Princess Celestia. Next, which will be posted today, is Queen Chrysalis. After that, I want to do Cadence and Luna.
I'm also taking suggestions on things people might want to see with them.
The Celestia auction is going to end early, today, as no one has made any mention for a while now on wanting to bid on it, and the bidding hasn't moved so I don't see the harm in ending it now.
The winner is
SergeantBuck at $135!
The Queen Chrysalis auction is specifically BDSM/Domination geared and will be able to have either a male or a female as the submissive party in it, and will be uploaded today once I get all of the text on the sketched image. I've cleaned it up more than this now, including a clear outfit on her and a solidified body for the sub but this is the pose: http://supersheela-art.tumblr.com/p.....ek-at-the-next
I'll keep you updated on the ideas for the next two princesses and I'm ever-willing to take your ideas on them!
Also you guys can tell me how interested you would be in a Mane 6 set like this with things I don't normally draw (sex, bdsm, etc).

No stream today. But for a good reason!
Posted 13 years agoBecause we spent the day adopting a kitty for Christmas!
He's a black cat, and we named him Zanzil. He's pretty shy right now. So we're going to give him space, we basically gave him a whole room to himself and opened up the doors so he can roam around if he wants. When he wants to he can come to us. He was really nice when we met him. Shy and he hid a little, but he didn't hiss at us and he let us pet him lots and he was very mellow and relaxed in his carrier which is perfectly awesome.
I'm really excited!
That being said, if I did stream I wouldn't get much work done, being dead tired and all. Back to normal work week starting tomorrow and gonna be pushing hard. So if you have a premade reserved come tomorrow and it'll get done. I might be starting earlier than usual as well.
But yeah! Kitty!
Edit: For those that don't know where the name comes from, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvYSDiFygkw
It's from one of the bosses in Zul'Gurub on WoW. :>
PS: THANK YOU ANONYMOUS DONATOR FOR BUYING US A KITTY FOR CHRISTMAS MUAMUAMUA KISSES.

Posted 13 years agoWow! I want to thank all of you for sticking around with me so long. The things I draw are the world to me, and knowing that people enjoy it makes me really happy. So thank you all so much and I'll keep doing what I do. :>
Also I'm going to go through my gallery today and move things from the earlier section of it over to my scraps. I promise never to delete anything!
