not to get personal on furaffinity of all places, but after being unable to find new employment since being laid off in 2023, getting broken up with a few months ago and having to still live with my ex for way too long, i've hit a point where i have to leave the city i love and made a home for myself (been here 10 years) and stay with my folks a bit while i can keep looking for new work and not have to pay rent.

so p much i'm just looking to save up money until i can get a new job so i can come back to the city. this is where i encourage you guys to take advantage of me in my time of need. (dont cry for me i'm already dead)

been settling into my new place alright. my job has gotten really busy, ive never worked with such deadlines before. so it's hard to stay on top of commissioned art but rest assured, if you've emailed me, you -will- get an art. i have a little to-do list aand everything. i just feel super bad about not being fast enough. i need to schedule out my days and see what i can do with everything. optimize that productivity! yeh!

less than a week ago i've taken residence in toronto proper and ive never lived on my own before so this is all very new

i'm still kinda settling but have something of my office set up so i can try and get into the swing of drawing again. tho my attention has been shit since i've been rocky in regards to my medicine. which i'm back to taking regularly again so i should be myself again in a week or so?

anyway! that is why i have been so absent.
i'm still getting used to the whole thing but it's p swell. commissions and stuff should get back into my regular schedule sometime after the 15th, so if you ordered an art and are like, yo whats up with my art fatty, don't worry it'll happen. i'm very slow but i try my best. art is hard. but i'm harder. ive been mostly absent these days OBviously. the job takes all my time up. off time is for doing chores and sleeping for prep for more work.
i still try to work on commissions when i can... just kinda chizling away at them. slowly but surely.

i might change my prices up a bit, and maybe offer small monthly things i can do quickly. or offer X amount of sketches that'll be done over a weekend every month. like i did at anthrocon, but every month this time. anything to help me put some muns away so i can move out and claim some of that adult independence i'd like so much.


still struggling with losing my poppa. as well as body image issues, eating/food issues, mental health issues- including the dr playing around with my prescriptions which has been fucking me up a little, and a bunch of other shit i'm sure everyone deals with in some way.

i'll be in cleveland for a day in february i think and if anyone lives there or knows the area, what's there to do?

i also just finished season 4 of parks and rec. ive been binge watching parks and rec. andy is how i imagine shen would be irl.

i've been not working on them because other stuff kept happening. in order:
late september - late november was due to a job. which is done now, so i'm unemployed again.
late nov to early december i was in PA. early december till now has been prepping for christmas
and doing all of that business.
SO, getting back into swing of things in january makes sense to me. maybe in the new year i'll
complete many commissions and go to the gym also. (ha. ahaha. aha. ha.)

SO YES i won't open again until all of my current outSTANDing ones are done, but that shouldn't
be so bad. i haven't forgotten anyone, but i might need some details sent to me again (or for the
first time?)

i might also take commissions strictly thru email this time around because i can't organize notes.
might just make a new email address just for commissions as not to confuse my inbox. i like orderly.
maybe i'll do one of those form-fill-y-out-y things. they seem maybe a bit impersonal, but simple
