100G - A Place Of My Own

As most of you know, I have been trying to find a suitable one-bedroom one-bath and possibly move in by June. But because of certain events that happened, I decided to postpone my search. Well, those events have passed and I'm back as far as my financial status is concerned. So I started searching again, and I found a great place. It's 442 a month (58 dollars cheaper than my budgeted rent price) full utilities, spacious bathroom, bedroom, HUGE living room and sectioned off kitchen, and it's on the first floor.

It was being renovated when I looked at it, so it probably won't be ready until late June/early July and I put in my application for it in April. Well, just yesterday, I found out that I was approved for the apartment! Once the work on it is finished, I can give the landlord the security deposit and move in the month of July! Now I know my "Achievement List" said to be in by June, but I had to alter a few things because I had to make sure my job(s) became situated. Either way, I will be living on my own as of July. It might take me a while to get internet installed when I do, so I may or may not be online immediately after my move-in.

Growing up as a nerd was indeed tough. Always studying all the time, rather have your nose in a book than watching wrestling like the "real guys" back in Elementary School, taking interests in the latest episodes of Power Rangers, Beetle Borgs, VR Troopers and Masked Rider rather than watch Michael Jordan and the Chicago bulls dominate in the game with the ball in it, and dealing with bullies because they wish they knew why mommy left daddy when all you had to do was look at their behavior and immediately figure out why.

You never got the girl, you were always the go-to guy for homework and tests, you actually had a favorite subject in school and you were always the teachers and principal's favorite person. And now that your grown and used your savvy to make the world better for all of us, you couldn't be any more hotter than you already are. I mean, they even made the horn-rimmed glasses you were ridiculed for wearing back in Middle School popular.

Your diligence and intelligence has definitely paid off, Mr. Cute-Looking Nerdy Guy with Glasses. Because whether your gay, straight, bi or pan (mostly bi and pan by census), just the way you carry yourself makes people find you absolutely adorable, including me. Just the way you smile tells me, "Hi. I know the entire Superman mythology and I can tell it in a way to make you want to take me out for dinner three nights in a row and have you take me back to your place for desert for five." And I eat it up.

Your glasses always has a way of making your smile even brighter and cuter than originally deemed possible. And even though I think you're still cute with the glasses off, I would prefer them on even while in bed because you look so damn cute when you blush with them on underneath me. And the fact that you come in different flavors to choose from makes you eye candy that actually tastes delicious.

Especially the chubby Asian brand, but that's just me being biased...

I just woke up from one at like, around 5:30 am, and I don't know if I should go back to sleep or not. Usually, I'm not really phased by nightmares. But this one seemed too real for me to try and ignore.

If some of you didn't know, my full-time job occupation at the television station I work at is a Master Control Room Operator; we're in charge of airing the commercials and programming for a tv station and recording what goes over the air. Well, in my dream, I was doing a "portable version" of my job. Don't ask me how it was portable; I'm still trying to figure it out. All I know was that I was outside with about three monitors in front of me, three DVD players with me, and the programming we usually air with me. And I was doing my job as I usually would, playing programming until around 1:00 in the morning. Weird thing was, that I was hanging out with two cop friends of mine (which I do not have), one black and skinny and one white and jocky, and the scene transitioned from outside in my backyard to an Asian-themed bar.

I don't remember if I drank or not, but I've been getting lazy with my program switches, letting a few seconds pass by between commercials and programs. When my shift was over and I aired my last DVD, my friends were a bit buzzed but still sober enough to know what was going on. The white cop was afraid of losing his job and was on the verge of tears. Both the black cop and myself had to give him hugs and words of encouragement to let him know everything was going to be okay. And the black cop left the bar with me.

This is where the dream starts getting weird.

When we left the bar, a seemingly homeless man was standing near my car (which was conveniently parked on the curve). He asked me if my name was La'Ron Readus. I was hesitant at first, because I don't trust shady guys like that even in real life. Eventually he figured out that was my name, and he asked me to arrest him. Now I don't know why he asked me to do this. I was under the impression that I was just a friend of two cops; I didn't know that I actually was one. So the black cop with me was trying to get the bum to leave, since we didn't have a reason to arrest him and the fact that he was off duty. So we both get in my car and we drive down the street.

The bar was apparently located on a main street. As a matter of fact, it's location seemed to be about down the street from where I currently live. But as soon as I started the car and began to drive, we were on a residential street. The same bum ran up to the passenger side of my car where the black cop was sitting and open palmed the passenger side window. Because of the random situation, I panicked and accelerated the gas. When I turned back around to look in front of me, the left side of the car hit a purple mini-van. I could feel the impact in my sleep. But the crash didn't stop me from driving. Actually, the minivan simply went up in the air after impact.

I couldn't control how rattled I was, but I continued to drive forward. And when I did, the same bum appeared in front of us. Before I knew what was in front of me, I ran him over. I hit him around the same time the minivan landed on the street to my knowledge. I turned the corner before the black cop with me told me to stop the car. We went back to observe the damage, only to find that the bum was gone and that the mini-van crash landed in a house. I was immediately shown images of the van crashing through the house; the impact immediately killing a teenaged girl. A broken piece of glass was sent hurtling toward another little girl, planting itself between her eyes. And after feeling the impact and hearing it for herself, the mother came out with a telephone in her hand. I could see her eyes widen, her jaw drop and the white phone slip from her hand as she began to react to seeing her girls massacred by the accident.

Then the sounds of birds woke me up.

I honestly never had a dream that felt so real before in my life. As soon as I woke up, I just turned on my computer. Because I wasn't planning on trying to go back to sleep immediately after that. And the dream was so vivid and describable that it wouldn't go away if I didn't say anything about it. It has me startled because to a certain extent, my dreams come true in one form or fashion. Either that, or the imagery is trying to tell me something. I've been getting a lot of those as well. So if anyone could help me out trying to figure out what this dream was about, that would be greatly appreciated.

Anyways, I'm gonna try and go back to bed. It's been a little over an hour so I should be fine now...

...if there's a Hyde fan club here on FA. If not a Hyde one, then a L'Arc-en-Ciel fan club; I'm not picky. lol

So a few of my friends took me out to see "How to Train Your Dragon" for the second time last night. And once again, I saw it in 3D. And it was just as great as the first time I saw it. HOWEVER, after I got home and went to bed, guess what happened?

I had a dream about a possible sequel.

Now just so you guys know, I am rather compelled to write this because dreams that eventually turn into good writing material I tend to remember until I have all of it down on paper (or Microsoft Word lol). I won't say what its about, but at the same time I'm a little skeptical about posting it here because of how I feel about certain fan-fiction. Plus, I have to do some research about Norse Mythology anyways.

But rest assured that my idea for a "How to Train Your Dragon" sequel is stuck in my head and won't go away until I write it in full. But if I do write it, should I post it?

I am pleased to announce a five-part "Cutting Corners" mini-series debuting in April called "Razul's Wish."

Taking place a week after the events of Season 1 of "Cutting Corners," Razul embarks on an emotional journey dealing with family, forgiveness, acceptance and love with the accompaniment of his three friends and roommates, Stan, Joey and Kyle.

There is no scheduled time for the release of each segment, but part one will be released Friday, April 9th.

So I'm planning on going to AC this year and I just about have all of my immediate things in order for the trip. Got my registration done, gonna be booking my flight in April or May (stuff like getting a badge isn't really high on my priority list right now)

But when February hit, I was still in a bit of a financial bind due to my full-time employment not paying us on time or in full. So when I tried to book a room at the Westin when rooms were available and I had enough for a reservation, they were already sold out.

So I was wondering if anyone had either an extra room I could buy off them or if anyone doesn't need their room anymore?

Please send me a note here if you do. I would definitely greatly appreciate it.  blacksmith- is willing to house Charky and I if I can't find a room in time, but I only want to use his generosity as a last resort; call me stubborn, but I like doing things myself unless given no other choice... *shrugs shoulders*

Fuck Jerry! ><

Tom doesn't deserve half the shit he has to put up with while chasing that God-forsaken mouse!

I admit; at least one-fourth of the show involves Tom chasing Jerry. And I don't have a problem with that, because that's the basis of the show. I'm talking Jerry's excessive and seemingly unnecessary trolling of Tom's life. No mouse's life is worth so much ridicule. Even when Tom tries to quit him (I blame having to watch "Brokeback Mountain" in my "Intro to Film" class last year for that phrase, lol), Jerry always finds a way to ruin his happiness, just to make him miserable again my enforcing him to chase him because there's no one else willing to waste their life satisfying his whorish need of attention!

And when it seems that Tom finally does have the upper hand on Jerry, he seems to get help from the most random circumstances; a bird, a duck, a muscle-bound cousin that can beat up cats in his sleep, a FAIRY GODMOTHER, a lion and an elephant! WHAT THE FUCK!!! ><

That goes for the random usage of chemicals and stuff as well. Does every house have mouse-convenient bottles of Jekyll/Hyde formula or invisible ink?! It just pisses me off how often they dick Tom out of a good thing by giving Jerry all of the advantages when he's CLEARLY capable of holding his own without all the plot armor.

I think the fairest episode I've seen was when Jerry pretended to be a white mouse to keep Jerry from chasing him without getting hassled by his owner (who isn't the Aunt Jemima wanna-be, lol). So he painted himself white to convince his owner that he was just jealous, and the episode ended with Tom dancing and stomping on Jerry enacting the vengeance he so rightfully deserved.

Finally; justice is served! XD

Don't get me wrong; I love the show. It was one of the first cartoons I watched as a kid, so I practically grew up on it. But because of that, I get to state my opinion on how whack it can get at the same time.

Well, in case you didn't know, Andrew Lloyd Webber is making a sequel to what I say is one of the best musicals I have ever seen! He's calling it "Love Never Dies," and it's based off of Frederick Forsyth's book, "The Phantom of Manhattan" (which was written to act as a direct sequel to Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical anyway, so kudos for that).

At first, I wasn't too sure how to feel about this. I mean, it's "The Phantom of the Opera," for crying out loud; a musical sequel to that has some big shoes to fill. But I watched the press release and saw an interview with ALW, and even saw a performance of the Phantom that's cast in London for the Sunset festival. And I must say, that I am indeed impressed.

I plan on seeing it when it comes to America (New York) in November. I wanna try to get there opening night, but one way or another I will be seeing this. The original "Phantom" was breathtaking when I saw it (the stageplay; I didn't see the movie until later). So, here's hoping ALW does it again! *winks*

So yeah.

Ever since Christmas, I haven't been working at my second job at Marshall's, since I'm technically "seasonal part-time." I guess they're still debating whether to let me on the schedule for the new year. So because of that, I have been once again dependent on the no-so-faithful pay schedule of my full-time job at the television station.

Ugh.

So anyways, I wake up not just a half-hour after writing this note, and my old boss from Subway calls me. He tells me that a lot of the people who were originally there had to leave and that they DESPERATELY needed me back. They were willing to fix my work schedule there so that I can still go to my full-time job. And since I'm taking this semester off to work on my writing and getting my name out there, I won't have to worry about classes. But here's the catch.

My first day is this coming Monday.

I feel like a job-whore right now, getting thrown with all of these jobs. Don't get me wrong, I'm not at all complaining; I definitely need the money for what I have planned to do this year. But still, you can't help but think to yourself...

Damn... I have three jobs... Like... ...Like damn...

So the way it looks, I'll be at Subway from 10:30am to 2:30pm (or 4:00pm if I feel generous lol) Monday - Thursday, at the television station from 5:30pm to 9:00pm Monday - Friday, and hopefully Marshall's on the weekends if they need me.

With all this cash, I should be out of my rut by the end of February so I can start saving for my apartment. So don't worry, guys; this is definitely a good thing. XD

I know I said that the second half of Cutting Corners second season will happen this Saturday, but it may have to be postponed until next Saturday.

While working on the finishing touches of Episode 8 at my job at the television station, I accidentally left my flash drive containing the one - and only - copy of the episode Thursday night. Because I was scheduled to work today, I figured I would just pick it up when I had to leave for work. But instead I get a call from my supervisor, who tells me I don't have to come in today.

So I'm like, "Okay. I'll just go over there earlier on today and pick it up when I pick up my check from Marshalls." Unfortunately, that was not the case. Turns out the offices are closed today, and the key that's usually outside to unlock the door was moved so I couldn't go inside to retrieve it.

So, yeah. If I can't get my flash drive back by tonight, Cutting Corners episode 8 won't be released until next Saturday. Sorry for the inconvenience, guys. ><

Okay, so this is more of a journal for myself other than for other people. But usually when I go shopping, I have a list of things I seek to purchase. This list is always called "Shit I Need To Get" XD. So with the coming of the new year, I have prepared a list of things I need to do that involves a fusion of things for the Furry community and my real life, some of which actually intertwine with the other. And I figured, "Why not make it public?" *shrugs shoulders*

Achievement List (Because apparently, "Achievements" are better than "Trophies" lol)

- Buy my first ever commissions by  faint and  thewielder for my characters on my RPG site "Shuuban"

- Attend AC '10 with my buddy Straight-Fag and have a "baller-ass time!"

- Reach my weight and shape goal by June or July

- Be in a one-bedroom and one-bathroom apartment around $500.00/month or below in the month of June

- Get a regular Part-Time position at my second job at Marshall's and have a regular schedule (Currently working Seasonal)

- Dedicate more time writing my mystery/thriller novel

- Film the first season of my action/adventure web series in the summer

- Go to Indonesia for a week to spend time with my Ko-Koa <3<3 (either during the summer or winter)

Not necessarily a New Year's Resolution list, but definitely worth roughly 25, 50 and 100G's on XBox Live. XD

Why, do you ask?

Because I just saw "The Princess and the Frog."

Now the initial reason why I would be so emotional over this movie is because it's the return of one of the things that attracted me to Disney in the first place as a kid; animated Disney musicals. I always loved them growing up. And seeing them revived in the 21st century was quite refreshing, especially with great musical numbers and such a compelling and entertaining story behind it. I won't spoil it for anyone who's reading it and hasn't seen it yet, but it is definitely a must-see; I assure you.

But there is another reason why I am so emotional after seeing this movie. Like I said before; I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it. But after seeing certain motifs and key character development points in the movie immediately made me reflect on my own life up to date and some choices I made lately (which I am quite proud of, might I add). And seeing them played out in this movie just made me reflect on why I allowed certain things to play in my life in the first place. The themes revolving around true love and dedication really got to me, and I couldn't help but become overwhelmed with emotion while still watching the movie.

And then to add more fuel to the fire, this song wants to play in the ending credits XD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f54x54REmH0. Like, the entire situation sucked because I felt like breaking down right there in the theater in tears. I tried to suppress it by playing something darker on the way home. But because of how I am, I download and start listening to the song on repeat continuously as soon as I get inside the house XD.

I honestly think I've been crying for a good fifteen-twenty minutes. The combination of the message the movie gave me and a song by an artist I wouldn't usually listen to sent me in a wave pool of emotions I never thought I would ever have to endure. But now, looking back at the decisions the movie made me rethink, I can honestly say this:

I'm glad I did. <3

First and foremost, I wanna wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving, even the one's who don't celebrate it. Through this past month, a lot of positive changes have been happening in my life, and I didn't know how to express them to everyone here on FA that would make sense to everyone here; a poem would have been too short and tedious and a short story would have been (ironically) too long and involved with the story for me to get my point to everyone. So I decided to just write an illustrative monologue after watching the end of "Scrooged" earlier this morning with Bill Murray and Kary Allen, directed by Richard Donner.

So here it goes:


As Stevie Wonder once said, I am a man of many wishes. My life has been filled with dreams and ambitions, reaching for the stars only to grab galaxies in my attempts of success. I treasure each and every accomplishment just as much as I treasure those who have been behind me since day one; my family. True; sometimes I feel like I don't belong. Sometimes it feels like we're from two completely different worlds. Then again, its that truth that makes me appreciate them all the more; an alien stranded on a strange world that adopted them and welcomed them as their own. I am aware that it sounds like a cliched story pitch for the origin of a superhero, but that is indeed the case. My mother, my father, my sisters, my nephews and nieces -- as annoying as they can be sometimes -- always have my happiness and interests at heart. And for that, I say thank you.

And what is a man without good friends? No, let me correct myself; GREAT friends. It seems that with every step I take in this world, I can't help but to attract the ones that are always there for me when I need them; to always catch me when I fall and help me dust myself off so I can continue on my way. And every time I stray my eyes from the balance beam before me, they are right by my side; waiting to catch me again if I were to slip and go through the process once again.

The Golden Rule can be implied here: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I say without any vanity that I make sure to open myself for any of my friends that need my comfort, no matter how new or old they are to my life. Certain examples can be found even on this site. Whereas I have had the greatest privilege to be with my real-life friends, each and every one of you on Fur Affinity mean the world to me. Whether we became friends through notes, a comment or two left behind on my work, or through my own pursuit because of your personality; I treasure and thank each and every one of you for making my life worth while.

To Langdon and  charkonian; this ode is to you. Both of you have known each other way longer before I ever decided to gain the courage to make my presence known on this site, yet you have both let me into your life with a warm affectionate hug; something I thought was only acceptable from those you knew for a lengthy period of time. It is true; some of my own pursuits were necessary for you to let me into your lives. But in the end, it was worth it.

Langdon, you're so much stronger than you believe yourself to be. You claim that you are somewhat insignificant; that you don't know how to defend or speak up for yourself. But from the period that I've known you, I can tell that is indeed not the case. You have went through many hardships in your life, yet have been able to overcome them all -- in most cases, fix them completely. Now you tell me; does that sound like someone insignificant? You have no idea how proud I am of you, Lang. You've come a long way, and I am so thankful to have gotten the chance to get to know you.

And Chark. *chuckles* Chark, Cark, Chark; my long-lost brother. What a pursuit you turned out to be, huh? From the moment I read a few of your short stories, I immediately knew that you were the kind of guy I wanted to be around. And after the ordeal you sent me through just to get what I needed to get in touch with you, I can honestly say that it was incredibly worth it. And with that said, I must tell you this. You have no idea how many people on this planet need someone like you. With your heart of gold, your merciless dedication, your tender smile and even your outlooks on life. God knew what he was doing when he made you. And all of the circumstances you had to go through will indeed pay off in the end; I guarantee it. Thank you for being a friend to me, Chark; you're one of the best one's I have ever made.

And if this holiday officially starts the season for miracles, I would be a complete idiot not to acknowledge mine. Ko-Koa, you have no idea how much you mean to me. Before I met you, I was under the impression that love for me was impossible. *Smiles* Then I run across one of the first pictures you drew of Joey and Kyle, linking them to the profile page of a happy Malamute dog who would soon become a mighty dragon; my dragon. You give me hope that is unrecognizable; you always make sure that you are there for me whenever I need you. I only wish I can do more for you; to show you how much your presence matters in my life. I can only tell you how much I anticipate feeling your arms wrap around me, or waking up to your smiling face before it becomes routine. But just hearing you tell me that you love me is enough to make me stronger; more determined to want to make my life all the more worth wile both for me and for you. The day you said those three words to me, I was finally happy. And I won't rest until I return the favor.

Thank you for being my miracle, Ko-Koa. I love you with all my heart. <3
