In three weeks, I'll be working seasonal part-time at Marshall's with the possibility of working part-time regular after Christmas!
This is a real big thing for me. My current job pays great, but right now they can't afford to pay us on time or in full. Because of that, I've been in a bit of a financial slump as far as making my bill payments on time (which I'm known for and have been called "Hank Hill" for, just so you know XD). I'm still keeping my full-time job at the television station, but I might quit come the first of the year if they still can't get their shit together. But only time will tell.
If your guessing that I'm pretty excited over this, then it's because I am! I know I won't be starting for a good three weeks, but God; It's gonna be good getting a regular source of income again! <3

Random Info / Special Announcement

Just so you know, this journal is going to consist of two subject. So here it goes...
A thought occurred to me that certain people who have read "Shuuban: The Kenpei Chronicles" would like to know what my inspirations for it was, meaning they would like to know my inspirations for the site as well. And being that I am the type of artist that never claims things as his own (I believe every "new idea" is inspired by something else), I thought I would share my inspirations for both the story and the site.
1) Highlander: The concepts of the Ancients were definitely inspired by Highlander (the fact that they are immortal an can only die by decapitation), including what happens when you first learn of "The Truth." Even Priest's real name (Juan Ramirez) was one of my ways of paying homage to the movies, including the naming of the two surviving Ancients Connor and Duncan (Connor McCleoud from the movies and Duncan McCleoud from the television series).
2) The Matrix: The concept of learning the truth about the masters after thinking about it is almost like how learning about what the Matrix is after being unplugged; a lot of denial until you feel it for yourself. I can also say that the main purpose of the Ancients were definitely inspired by the Agents.
3) Star Wars: The mentor/pupil ranking system was a definite inspiration from the Star Wars saga, including the relationship between Priest and Shenlong. I also found similarities in the different ways to use the abilities gained after learning the truth thanks to Connor and Duncan; either for peace and prosperity (light side of the force), or through anarchy and selfishness (the dark side).
4) IM RP: A small dialogue RP session
ta-kun666 and I had a few months ago got me thinking about the major plot about Shuuban involving the Masters and only watching the world beneath them just to be entertained. It was a rather interesting RP that I'm really glad happened, otherwise I don't think I would have came up with a good idea for the RPG.
And now for the special announcement:
I am proud to say that the Shuuban RPG is now open to the public! ^^
Feel free to look around and read the rules and announcements already posted. All you need to make your character will be located in the "Archives" section, including an overview of the history and a timeline.

What Made Me A Hopeless Romantic.

I've Come To Realize Something...

Like, seriously; every time I post something, I constantly wait to see if people have commented or have any critiques on/about my stuff. One of the reasons why I post most of my stuff at around 2 or 3 am is just so I can wake up and see how many comments/critiques I get; even if I'm posting something up for just ONE PERSON! XD
I already know that this is not a problem; as an artist, we tend to always want feedback and praise. I guess whether or not we're willing to accept that with ourselves is the thing. ^^

Shuuban RPG Update
General | Posted 16 years agoFor all of you who are curious to know how the construction process for the forum RPG "Shuuban" is going, you will be pleased to know that the site is at least 60 to 65% finished!
I'm actually quite surprised that I was able to get so much done on the RPG, while at the same time work on "The Kenpei Chronicles," the first few episodes for the second season of "Cutting Corners," my own personal work I plan to show to some agents, school and work. I've never been able to manage so much stuff on my plate like that. But, I guess if it's doing what you love doing, then there shouldn't be any stress, right?
Anyways, if you are still interested in joining the RPG when it officially opens, then I highly encourage you to read "The Kenpei Chronicles." Just about everything you need to know to understand how the universe works is in the story. As a matter of fact, the RPG takes place a few years after the events in "The Kenpei Chronicles."
Just giving you guys a heads up! Have a good day everyone! ^^

The Cutting Corners Season 2 Premiere!
General | Posted 16 years agoI am proud to say that the season premiere of Cutting Corners will be this coming Sunday, November 1st. It will be the continuation of the sneak peek I posted a while ago and new episodes will be on site every Saturday from then (or at least I'll try XD).
Also, because the first episode of the second season will be the continuation of the sneak peek, I will be deleting the sneak peek from my scraps section. Just a little heads up for you guys ^^

Yay, Progress! ^^

Let me start off by saying thank you all for your support in both "Cutting Corners" and "The Kenpei Chronicles." It's been a great ride on both projects so far and I can only hope things will only get better from here. And with that, here's my annual update report for my works! ^^
All "Cutting Corners" fans will be happy to know that I have started work on the second season. I have a story arch for the entire season planned out that is rather prominent with the main plot of the entire series. However, I do not wish to post any new episodes until the first week of November for two reasons:
1) I hate shows when the season premiere is in the middle of the month rather than the first! ><
2) The birthday of the characters creators is in that month, so it would only be right for the season premiere to be then! ^^
And after talking toKo-Koa about it, I have decided to do something I originally had planned for C.C., but realized it would be seen more as a filler arch than actual story involvement.
I'm giving Razul his own mini-series. XDDD
It's gonna be called "Razul's Wish." It will take place in the two weeks between seasons 1 and 2, and will reveal a bit more of Razul's back story to aid with what I have planned for the "Cutting Corners" series in whole.
And as for "Shuuban," progress is indeed being made on the domain page of the soon-to-be RPG. Hopefully it will be open and ready to accept new members by the time "The Kenpei Chronicles" is finished. Which brings me to my question:
All of the forth-coming events in the "Shuuban" RPG will technically take place a year or two after "The Kenpei Chronicles." I'm asking this question to you - the fans and hopefully potential members - if I should still write stories that take place within the "Shuuban" universe that could be inspired by the roleplay the site might birth. If I do, I would more than likely use certain members characters within the segments after taking the time to study personalities and whatnot.
Anyways, just a curious question. Answer if you like as usual. Once again, thanks for your support and your friendship. I look forward to the future! ^^

General | Posted 16 years agoDuring my hiatus from "Cutting Corners," I'll be posting a 13-chapter story (11 Chapters, a Prologue and an Epilogue) set in the universe I'm establishing for my soon-to-be text-forum RPG site, based on my fursona/the character I'll be mainly RPing as, Shenlong Bi Kenpei. It will be called, "Shuuban: Then Kenpei Chronicles."
The story will help establish my character's personality, his role in the RPG, and hopefully help explain how the universe is established so that I can get some potential members when the site becomes established. I hope you all enjoy. ^^

So yeah! I went over a friends house tonight and hung out with a bunch of my friends; one of those friends being the girl I really like I told you about in that "A Guilt Rant" journal.
Anyways, my friend made tacos, while I entertained my fellow close friends in a "psuedo-tipsy yet still sober to remember all the shit that went down" way, if you know what I mean. XDDDD
I really needed this night with my friends, and I really needed to relax and unwind. However, the night would have went SOOOOO much better if a certain person here on FA were with me to share it with. You know who you are...*winks* <33333

I can honestly say that your comments and shouts during the scenarios really did help me out. Like I said probably numerous amounts of times; I treasure each and every one of you as friends and acquaintances.
And as for "Cutting Corners"? I know a lot of you want to strangle my neck because I ended the season on a cliffhanger XD. So to make up for it, I'll be posting an ACTUAL sneak peek of a bit of the first episode Friday, October 2nd. I just ask you to give me a month or so before I start posting Season 2 regularly, so probably sometime in November.

Okay; for those of you who know, the upcoming episode 10 of "Cutting Corners" will be the season finale. From that point on, I will probably take a good hiatus from the series to cater to my other personal writing projects and school assignments and whatnot. Because it is the season finale, it will probably end up being the longest episode yet. Every little sub-plot I teased in previous episodes will be fully revealed then (or not XD), and hopefully the ending will keep you wanting me to work on the second season.
However, during my hiatus from C.C., of course I'll be posting more of my original work. However, I do plan on posting a chapter-based story based on a text forum-based RPG I'm currently developing. So if you like the stories, then please by all means; highly consider joining the RPG when it's finished. I would love to RP with you guys! ^^

Venting
General | Posted 16 years agoIve been feeling a bit lonely lately. I don't know why, but I have. Whenever I feel like this, is when I isolate myself from others on purpose when I dedicate the most of my time to my crafts. Its usually an aftershock though after I step back into reality. But lately, I've been teaching myself that I can still have a social live (or lives if you count FA) and still focus on my goals. And I feel that I have been making progress.
But for some strange reason, I still feel like I'm by myself...
I've been contemplating moving out of my parents house and into my own apartment. My father believes its a good idea, while my mother thinks I'm doing the devil a favor (rolls eyes). A few of my friends have told me that I'm pretty much more independent than I can be with the type of job I have and the fact that I have a car. But it's like a void that won't go away until I know that I'm in a place where I can invite who I want, do what I want and focus on the things I need to focus on.
But I don't think me wanting to move out on my own is the problem. I know that in one of my earlier journals I said that there was the possibility that I couldn't be ready to be in a relationship no matter what sex I end up with because of my passions taking over more than my feelings. But I think that once I can get a place of my own, I can try to call my own bluff. I have plans for it in the future, but I'm not sure.
I know I'm not alone; I got great friends both here on FA and those I interact with in person everyday that care about me and my well being. Believe me when I say that knowing each and every one of you is a treasure I'll keep with me forever. I just think that I've realized that being lonely sucks.
And I don't want to be lonely anymore...

"Cutting Corners" Update

First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who has taken an liking to the "Cutting Corners" series. Your gratitude is indeed greatly appreciated.
Now on to the announcement.
I was asked in a previous journal of mine (http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/919701/) how long I planned on continuing with the "Cutting Corners" series, and my response was that I had planned for up to five season's worth. Whereas this is completely true, I have come to a realization of something.
The way I intended on writing the series after the first season was to allow little by little of my intended story I planned out (withKoku's help of course ) while doing a lot of one-shot adventures with the gang. If I did the series this way, I would be stretching the series to a good five seasons. However, If I were to just focus on the initial storyline that is set up, the series will only last a good three seasons at best.
And honestly, I don't think it would be right for me to pull a "Naruto" and keep the series going with a bunch of fillers for something that's story-driven. But I digress.
So, I have decided to leave the length of the series to you - the "Cutting Corners" fans - to decide. Do you all mind two seasons of fillers, or would you rather have "Cutting Corners" have three solid story-driven seasons? Please reply to this journal with all of your suggestions; they are greatly appreciated. ^^

I was asked in a previous journal of mine (http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/919701/) how long I planned on continuing with the "Cutting Corners" series, and my response was that I had planned for up to five season's worth. Whereas this is completely true, I have come to a realization of something.
The way I intended on writing the series after the first season was to allow little by little of my intended story I planned out (with
Koku's help of course ) while doing a lot of one-shot adventures with the gang. If I did the series this way, I would be stretching the series to a good five seasons. However, If I were to just focus on the initial storyline that is set up, the series will only last a good three seasons at best.And honestly, I don't think it would be right for me to pull a "Naruto" and keep the series going with a bunch of fillers for something that's story-driven. But I digress.
So, I have decided to leave the length of the series to you - the "Cutting Corners" fans - to decide. Do you all mind two seasons of fillers, or would you rather have "Cutting Corners" have three solid story-driven seasons? Please reply to this journal with all of your suggestions; they are greatly appreciated. ^^

Shenlong Bi Kenpei
2. What is your character's name in another language?
He's named after the dragon from Chinese Mythology that controls wind and rain, and his middle and last name combined means "The Power of Beauty"
3. How old is he/she?
Around 22 years old
4. What is your character's race/species?
He's a Bengal Tiger
5. Do they have a crush?
He has one person he's steadily growing a crush on and one he completely lusts over...
6. Do they have many friends?
He does, and he's thankful for every single one. Yes, even you, Chark. lol
7. What planet is your character from?
Ummm, one that offspring's carbon-based life forms? XD
8. Does your character like to eat?
He LOVES to eat! ^^
9. What's his/her favorite food?
Any form of fish
10. What's his/her favorite drink?
He drinks sake in moderation, yet he's never been drunk
11. Is your character annoying?
I hope not; I try not to write him as annoying. Am I doing a good job?

Actually, yes!^^
14. Is your character hated?
Well, I have a servant now, and I don't necessarily know how he likes being my servant. lol. But I don't think he's hated.

No
16. Is he/she straight, bisexual, or gay?
Actually, he's a Pansexual. It's a sexual orientation characterized by the potential for aesthetic attraction, romantic love, or sexual desire for people, regardless of their gender identity or biological sex.

No

- practicing his writing
- practicing his swordplay
- being around his friends and loved ones
19. Is your character normal?
Well, no one is normal, no matter how you look at it, are they? ^^
20. Is your character attractive?
Some find him handsome, some find him cute, and some find him innocent. So I guess it varies...
21. How does your character handle emotions?
Well, he actually has a black circular birth mark that allows him to sense the feelings of whoever he's near and see future events in his sleep. It glows bright white whenever it's used. So I can guess he knows how to handle emotions, because he almost thrives off of them either from others or himself.
22. Does your character have other forms?
So far he just has a "battle-ready" look and a "casual" look. I don't think I'll give him any forms unless someone suggests I should.
23. Does your character overreact?
When the situation calls for it.
24. Is your character a criminal?
No. He's noble and honest.
25. Does your character go to school?
He used to, but doesn't anymore
26. What's his/her IQ?
Probably a little above average...?
27. Does your character have a disease/curse?
Well I wouldn't call his birthmark a curse; more of a "generational hindrance" if anything...
28. Is your character dead?

Had one, but they died. He's the only one of his bloodline
30. Has he/she encountered any tragic times in life?
Other than the death of his parents, no.
31. What's the best time in your character's life?
Finding out he had abilities dealing with telepathy (mind-reading and telekinesis)

He was in love with a female panda before being struck down by an assassin.
35. Does she/he have an element?
He has the element of storms, due to a sword that gives him control of over wind, clouds and rain that can even conjure fierce weather, drought and thunderstorms under his paw. It was said that the blade came from one of the shed scales of the legendary dragon of his namesake (Shenlong) that was completely derived of it's color till turned black. Because of this, Shenlong decided to call it the "Shen Saber"

Mostly of disappointment.
