I'm sure if any of you read my journals, you probably already know I've been sick for quite a while now. After one thing gets fixed, another knocks me on my ass, it's a cycle that is not only making me ill, it's draining my bank account. I do live in Canada, and many of my expenses are covered in terms of testing, so for that I am very lucky, but I have so many prescriptions and tests that AREN'T covered... Couple that with the amount of work I've been missing due to my illness, and it's not a very pretty picture.

I hate to come across as desperate, but I am in a really bad place right now (in a lot of ways) and I'm hoping I can help raise a few extra dollars for my bills by doing commissions. Every penny I can earn helps.

I'm bored, and husband is out of town for a few days so I need something to do. I've been doodling a lot but nothing worth finishing. Share your character refs with me in a comment (as many refs or characters as you'd like!) and I might draw them X3

I hate to sound mean, but I will be choosing the character I'd like to draw based on just that - what I'd like to draw. Don't be offended if I don't choose yours this time, I've been doing a lot of gift art lately just so I don't have to draw my own characters (but still make art!) This is a freebie after all, and if you REALLY want to see me draw for you, you could always commission me. ;)

I've got nothing better to do tonight so I figured I'd try doing a stream. Used to do them all the time when I was living with  kinakat! My computer is getting old and laggy though, so we'll see how I make out. As long as there are no technical difficulties, I should be around for a few hours, working on a gift art, doodling, etc. :) Come join me!

A whole bunch of crap has been dropped on my lap regarding my website and e-mail, so at this point I think I'll hold off on guaranteed valentine commissions. I will still offer the style (once my example goes up), and if I only get 1 or 2 I should be able to finish them on time but right now I have to focus on this mess.

So for now, I've switched to a server that is more reliable, but also more expensive. Right now I am on a free trial, but at the end of the 2 weeks I'll need to pay a $50 set up fee to pay month to month (I can't afford the full annual fee all at once).

I was thinking of running a donation drive - for every donation made I will do a piece of art. The quality of the art you will receive is proportional to the amount you donate, of course. My host has some sort of partnership with Paypal so you can be sure all donations made go straight to my hosting bill and not into my personal account, I thought that was kind of neat :)

Any interest out there for special valentine commissions? More specifically, couple commissions with a deadline, heh. Husband had a great idea, doing cute couple pics and then spiffing them up with scrapbooking supplies! I would have tons of fun with this, and I'm starting one tonight to post as an example :) Of course it wouldn't be limited to just valentines, I could spiff up any commission in a similar style.

Silly, me thinking I was feeling better :) Had to leave work early to see the doctor again today, leaving with antibiotics, increased inhaler dosage, and a chest x-ray. I still have 1 commission to finish up, and then I'll be taking a wee break until the new year. Feel free to get in touch with me regarding commissions, I will still be taking them - I just won't be working on them until January (with the exception of the one I am working on now.)

EDIT: I added cheap flat chibis like my most recent submission for cheap, because they are simple and don't take much time or effort. :)

So, I've been gone quite a while. Here are some updates from the past...year?

1. My computer broke for 10 months and I couldn't afford to get it fixed. It was a $600 repair.
2. I finished my hellish term of full-time school and a full-time job, I'm now a certified educated person (BSocSc).

I'm quite desperate for cash right now, sorry to say...I have a lot of spare time after work, and I have absolutely no imagination to draw anything for myself. So I'll be posting an all new commission list shortly.
