Planning for Pregnancy

I had an idea that it might be interesting to some of you, so... here we are
oestrus and rut : second half of winter
gestation period : 60-70 days
first of all I want to remind you that I'm bloody biology student and I couldn't ignore genetics. I have already written course work in wolves (Canis lupus L.), so everything should be in time and evidence-based lol. I'm not fan of genetics but I know it a bit, I also have read Genetics for Dog Breeders by Roy Robinson... let's say we were kinda trained.
with all information on dog genetics I have understood, dominant and recessive variants of genes I have found I analyzed phenotypes of our characters and guessed genotypes. what for? to make Punnett square and see what colors, what likelihoods and what combinations we can have. of course my genetics is just childish and poor copy of real one, but still it smells like science and I'm glad to share our results with you!
so blue-gray and simply gray wolves can't have any ginger or brown pups, but white one is 25% possible. genetics let us get per cents for 4 traits: main coat colour, colour intensity, presence of white areas and distribution of colours. sex and eye color weren't something that requires study - wolves barely can have blue and green eyes irl, for that we have used eye color genetics charts from Google Images hehe.
when we got everything we needed, we used random number generator. for example:
• we know wolves have 1-8 pups, so lower limit is 1, upper limit is 8, we need only one number, and we have gotten... 6! /holy sh.../
• pups can be male or female like 1:1, so lower limit is 1, upper limit is 100, we generate 6 numbers, and all numbers below 50 mean male, all above 51 - female. we have gotten 11, 23, 29, 50 (males), 56 and 68 (females)
and it went this way for all traits we wanted to randomize!
so we will get 6 lovely pups, 4 boys and 2 girls, and here is facts about them:
1. male, blue-gray, green eyes, with white parts (Teihard)
2. female, gray, green eyes, without white parts (Cariad)
3. male, gray, blue eyes, without white parts (Yale)
4. male, gray, blue eyes, with white parts (Hyde)
5. female, white, blue eyes (Luna) /I bet she will be favorite one of her daddy/
6. male, blue-gray, blue eyes, without white parts (Omen)
we will wait until January-February to get to know each other better, out characters to fall in love with each other, to get beautiful pieces of art (SFW and NSFW too), and to design each pup before sale, because we will sale them as adopts to let them live their lives as good characters with background! sounds like greatest fun I could ever imagined! thank RJJones for being here with me and joining my weird ideas!
