Imperial Valkyries
Posted 6 years agoWith the Imperium spreading through the galaxy, and burrowing into other realities. The Imperium had encountered nothing it could not handle with it's standard military might, Dire machines and their hybrid 'morph offspring provided a unique advantage for the Imperium in military situations, as well as the Imperium's sheer military might of their basic troops. For a while this was deemed enough, specialized units were trained and geared appropriately and while exemplary troops rose in the ranks but the need for teams of exceptional caliber and skill, what they needed were weapons, not soldiers.
The idea of mechanized war machines was quickly thrown out the window, they already had robotic drones fighting along side their troops, attempting to create AI dedicated to war was promptly viewed as a "bad idea" and taken off the table. No amount of safeguards could prevent a digital lifeform from becoming vastly more problematic. So they settled on fine tuning the best machine they knew of, People.
They went to those already in the Imperial Military for the initial test subjects, trying to convert already trained soldiers into something better. 30% suffered rejection of cybernetic implants, another 25% came into complications with the genetic modifications, the surviving 45% were only mildly successful, augmentations were minor, psychological problems sprung up in roughly 15% of them as well, leaving only a 30% mild success rate.
The successful ones of the initial "Super Soldier" program were not matching up to projected expectations, along side the complications and loss of life it was deemed not viable. Upon deeper inspection of the process a realization occurred, the subjects were too old. That is what was causing the difficulties with the augmentations, and there was no way to get the desired results and reduce loss of life, so they moved on to those that would be better candidates, children.
Genetic modifications could be administered over years in a growing child, allowing them to naturally adapt to the modifications, as well as with cybernetic augmentations. Raising said children as soldiers will make them psychologically capable of handling their power as well.
So the Imperium proceeded to search through for applicable children, those that show first and foremost a desire to help the Imperium at large, durable, athleticism, intelligence, and signs of emotional stability. Considering the Imperial education system is great at tending to intelligence and emotional stability it's rather common, finding those that matched most of the desired marks was easy, finding those whom at this age were willing to give themselves to the Imperial Military was rare.
Still, they came out with a little more than a hundred volunteers. The non humans with longer life spans were the first to undergo genetic modifications, bringing their growth rate in line with everyone else. Then over the next decade the children were raised into soldiers, into weapons.
At the end of the creation process the loss of life was the same as the prototypes, how ever they were predominantly due to accidents which can be removed the next time around. The biggest results were the lack of dangerous psychological issues and the sheer combat prowess of the now dubbed Valkyries.
Going up against robotic drone simulations can only test so much, and so the Valkyries were tested against the Imperial's standard military in simulated combat exercises. It is standard practice in the Imperium, testing newly formed platoons and squads against fortified imperial military installations. They also record and broadcast the fights at later dates, it's the closest the Imperium has to Gladiator arena fights.
Standard Imperial Military strategy for planetside combat is a mixture of air and armor superiority and hitting targets hard. Primarily they hit enemy fortifications with air and ground armor, dire machines and hybrids, and then the swarm of basic soldiers come in for intimidation to force the enemies into surrendering with minimal loss of life. How ever, certain targets are designated as "Nails" for the military to bring themselves down on as "The Hammer of Imperial Might", which boils down to merciless combat, effectively they come in and render the area a parking lot.
Valkyries are intended to be specialized tools, sometimes a precision hammer, others a key, ect. So when they were put up against the standard military formations with certain goals to achieve they achieved them with amazing marks. The combination of physical augmentations and specially designed power armor for each soldier to play to their unique skill sets, along side them being trained together from young ages, made them out perform standard soldiers but they also have amazing group cohesion.
And so with the promise of increasing the number of living finished products the next generation was authorized. As time went on how ever the information of the Valkyries became more well known, such as one interesting bit about them. Valkyries do not retire. Dire machines can be deweaponized and moved to civilian life, literal living weapons of war can retire. Valkyries go through such intense augmentations along with physical and psychological training that they are incapable of returning to civilian life, this was known from the conceptualization of the project and when recruiting they do try to drill home to candidates the gravity of what they are doing, some do decline from this, those who don't become Valkyries.
The second generation of Valkyries had a increase in survivors with a indistinguishable difference in performance from the first generation after excluding 'combat experience' from the first generation. Even with reducing the amount of cybernetics and supplementing it with their suits they were able to complete objectives just as well as Gen 1's. But still a roughly fifty percent loss of life, still deemed acceptable for a third and final attempt. Generation 3's adjusted their cybernetic augmentation to biomechanical, the Inquisitors coming in to assist with not just the psychological training but with the augmentation process.
The Generation 3 Valkyries were far more strict in recruitment as well which resulted in no fatalities from the augmentation process. With the addition of the Inquisitors with a more hands on role with making the Valkyries they were branded as The Imperator's Honor guard. The original intention was for them to be a specialized tool for the imperial military at large, and while that is still the case they are now prioritized as The Imperator's personal soldiers, in part this is to ease tensions of generals having their command hijacked by the Imperator. And when the Imperator departs the mortal coil, the Valkyries can return to their original purpose easily enough.

Daiukla and Possession
Posted 6 years agoAs mentioned briefly here http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9020235/ Daiukla are microscopic entities spawned in water from magic use. Magus release a type of radiation when performing their displays of magic, bigger displays means more magus radiation, meaning more intense Daiukla spawns in nearby water, but without steady magic radiation the Daiukla dissipates after time, roughly twenty minutes if it's just in the water, if Imps have formed their tend to last upwards of forty minutes.
Imps only spawn from intense magic use, which only tends to happen when a Magus engages in combat or murders someone, Imps typically spawn forth from the water in blood being spilled, or from magic use during rain. Unlike other forms of Daiukla life, Imps vary in size from the size of a large horse fly, or a mango but never larger and are very simple minded entity as well as harmless to non Magus, how ever there are instances of swarms of Imp's piling onto Magus and causing them to get Daiukla infestations or full on Amalgam creation though such things are rare outside of full on Magus combat.
Imps are a byproduct of intense magic use, at times a unavoidable side effect, how ever Magus can use the Daiukla to create Constructs. Constructs require a core, a item etched with Magus Circuits to function as the 'brain' of the Daiukla, as without it they are very simple minded creatures who don't even have self preservation instincts, they just exist. Constructs are built by a Magus for a goal in mind ranging from simple scouts to full on combat. Creating a Construct not only requires the core to be properly created and charged, it also is heavily recommended for the Magus to put some of their blood into the water mixture they will summon the Daiukla in to create a bond between Summoner and Construct.
Simple constructs tend to have their charge circuit built into the core that the Magus charges to give the Construct a limited lifespan before having to recreate it. More complex Constructs can have an exposed slot to plug Magus Batteries into to prolong the constructs lifespan, this is almost exclusively used in Constructs that have learning capabilities, which are rare in of themselves, though without the Core to tell the Daiukla to think it wouldn't be capable of doing so on it's own, as evident by the Imps.
Moving on to Ghouls, a gruesome practice of turning a living or recently alive entity into a construct. It is a very simple process of attaching a Magus Battery to the body and then throwing it into a body of water drawing Daiukla to infest them and then dragging them out before the infestation simply pulled the corpse and battery to Abhoth.
The Battery functions as the lifespan of the ghoul while the Daiukla is capable of using the brain to have some assemblence of 'thinking', though the process leaves them very hostile to pretty much everything, especially Magus, as such the creation of Ghouls is typically done by non Magus and then they release the Ghouls as weapons against Magus.
On the subject of bodies being turned into walking Daiukla infestations, we have the Amalgams which are Magus who are partially possessed or simply heavily infested with Daiukla. Simply put, Amalgams are made when a Magus ends up being careless and ending up partially submerged in water, or being removed from the water before the possession was able to complete, alternatively Imp swarms or a Ghoul attack can cause as Magus to become an Amalgam.
What makes Amalgams different than Ghouls is first off their life span, with a Magus acting as the battery for the Daiukla, it has effectively a limitless supply of Magus Energy to keep it sustained. Secondly is intelligence, with Magus energy being primarily focused in the brain of a Magus this draws the Daiukla in deeper and more completely into the brain, unlike with ghouls, giving the Amalgams various degrees of intelligence. Lastly, Amalgams are far more physically capable than any Imp, Construct, or Ghoul, having the Magus energy to fuel them they are capable of internal feats of magic, such as intense regeneration, improved speed, strength, reflexes, and in some cases minor feats of magic such as simple combustion or terrain shifting.
Finally there are The Possessed. The Possessed are instrumental to the Imperium's understanding of Magic. The Possessed are made from a Magus having their center of gravity submerged in water, specifically their head and torso, allowing themselves to be completely consumed by the Daiukla. This in turn pulls the Magus to Abhoth, or at this point the remains of the Magus. The Possessed then remain in Abhoth until they happen across a gateway, which is just a Daiukla infestation in a body of water, this in turn allows the Possessed a way of coming back into the world.
For the Possessed themselves, they are called this because they have the memories and knowledge of the Magus they consume, as well as they are capable of disguising themselves as said Magus. The Possessed are...in a way the Magus they once were, but they are something more as well, they are changed after the experience of being in Abhoth, and from the simple act of Possession, after all it eats away the physical body of the Magus, it kills them and then they are...alive again, in a sense, as this new thing.
Be that as it may, the Possessed are fully sentient self aware beings who will wholly admit that they are not the former Magus. As such the act of Possession, after it's accidental discovery, has been rather heavily monitored, as the Possessed are the only means of getting knowledge of Abhoth, and in turn they have information on how Magic itself functions in relation to circuits and the like. They have been instrumental in helping the Imperium, and other factions with access to this magic, in understanding and learning to do more with it, as such there are Magus who are very willing, if not eager, to become Possessed in order to see Abhoth and report back on it, though there are of course always others who seek to do differently.
The Possessed are also very very different from all other forms of created Daiukla. While much of the mechanics remain the same, having a virtually limitless lifespan due to their Core being the remains of a Magus, much of them is very very different. While the Possessed are often viewed by the layman as "Just a smarter more well put together Amalgam" the fact of the matter is they are much more. Amalgams are walking 'nests' of Daiukla, but the Possessed are more like a Daiukla based lifeform, it's like comparing the spores of a fungus to the mushroom created from the spores. Possessed are far more complex lifeforms, as well as being much more capable than any Amalgam, but that doesn't mean an Amalgam cannot kill a Daiukla, it just takes much more effort which most Amalgam's are not capable of.
Beyond that, Possessed are capable of feats of magic, just like a Magus, how ever while a Magus AOI grows as they age, when they become Possessed it stops growing, though Possessed are more in tune with their magic capabilities and can manipulate their AOI exceptionally well. Along with that, they are Daiukla, as such they are immune to the standard risks of Daiukla infestations and the like that normal Magus have to constantly worry about. Infact should a Possessed become sufficiently damaged they can simply retreat to a body of water and regenerate, so long their Core remains undamaged and preserved the Possessed can pretty much recover from having itself destroyed.
With that in mind, not all Possessions are perfect, as evident by Amalgams which are "Incomplete Possessions", but even completed possessions can go...wrong, this creates what are referred to as The Hollow. The Hollow are Possessed who are simply mentally wrong, some wire got crossed and they are just simply 'wrong'. It's caused something a philosophical debate, as the Possessed basically come to terms with "The Magus that I'm made from was killed, they no longer exist, I am someone, something, else." as such Possessed tend to give themselves new names. Some Hollow still believe they ARE the magus, just given new life, but more often than not they just snap and become panicked, hostile, or just...cold and uncaring. More often than not though Possessed who do not come to terms with not being the Magus become Hollow, something in them kind of just breaks and they become dangerous and hostile, and with their capabilities being the same as a Possessed they are very very dangerous.
With that in mind, the Magus order monitors all instances of Possession, they try to make sure that if a Magus is willingly giving themselves up that it is done properly with Magus Circuits to reduce the chance of becoming a Hollow or to allow the Daiukla form to mold into certain ways as if left alone Possessed are distinctly inhuman and often disturbing for more people to take in, requiring the Possessed to keep the Magus shell over it.
The Magus shell is a unique bit of magic exclusive to Possessed, where they effectively 'squish' themselves down into their Magus appearance, which is very useful for the more inhuman or larger Possessed, showing that the Possessed have a surprising amount of control over their physical shapes, but it is limited, they can't fully change themselves, nor can they drastically alter their Shell appearance, at most they can do minor changes, like changing hair, changing their size by a moderate amount, minor alterations which require conscious effort to remember when they change.

The Imperator.
Posted 6 years agoThe Gaian Imperium, and Empire spreading out from the Sol system. It's core beliefs are that the strong shall protect the weak and that the hermaphrodite, the intersex, is the superior form of life. As this Imperium grew and rose to power on Earth the very spirit of the world reacted, helping herald in the then called Terran Imperium as the champions of the Earth. How ever despite the very spirit of earth silently helping the Imperium, despite their clear technological superiority of the other world powers, they resisted and rejected the Imperium siting various reasons of their own personal creation.
The Imperium's initial plan was to conquer the glob by simple attrition, by being the better place to live life. They have all but removed crime from their home nation, there was no homeless, none starved, it is a utopia aside from the Citizen and Migrant divergence, which is one of the things the other nations pointed to as to why they resisted the Imperium. And when war came, they again proved their might, their superiority, on the field of battle. And it still wasn't enough. They resisted, defied, refused the Imperium. And so, due to the massive loss of life the war would bring, the Imperium's Inquisition sought out ways to reduce the loss of life, to save Humanity from itself. They found it in The Imperator.
The Imperator, whos name has been lost to history and simply overshadowed by the figure they became, grew up during the war and rose to prominence quickly, being a citizen and an exceptionally gifted one at that drew the eyes of the Inquisition upon her. The Inquisition's primary goal is to preserve and protect the core of the Imperium, to root out corruption and weakness within it as well as find the weaknesses in others for the Imperium to exploit, and in the Imperator they found an avatar of the Imperium. And so this exceptional being was then elevated by the Inquisition itself, something never before done, to the head of the Imperium.
The Terran Imperium now had an Empress, an Imperator, at the helm. The Cerberus council remained as it always shall, to maintain the daily activities and inform the Imperator of important information reguarding the people, military, infrastructure. It was made clear at the start the Imperator is only to be instilled during times of dire need or crisis, as she wields the unrestrained might of the entire Imperium, focusing all of it to a specific purpose, surpassing the crisis. The Inquisition had knowingly created the most devastating weapon the Imperium would ever create.
With the other super powers of Earth in open conflict with the Imperium and the rise of the Imperator, rather than the Cerberus Council, leading the Imperium and a dramatic shift in it's tactics and policies. Up to this point the Imperium had taken a slow and defensive stance to it's spreading, the Imperator flipped this over and showed the world what kind of ruler she is by raining death across the most powerful nations of the world. Cities were leveled, civilian populations wiped out, and in their place the Imperator arrived to build.
It was a very aggressive tactic, and yet it worked. With Imperial cities being built in the middle of these countries while their political leaders bickered and ranted about it the people were able to see up close just how much they were told was lies. And from there, it spread out. The Imperator had dealt such a hard and sudden blow the nations had no idea what to do, they recoiled in confusion and by time they collected themselves to act the Imperator had already set the seeds. The cities were up in months and welcoming migrants from all over as always, only now it was much harder for the nations to control who got to the Imperium cities.
And as the world powers, in their final days of spite, considered open nuclear war...they found themselves disarmed. Their stockpiles of nuclear weaponry either went missing, were 'mistakenly' dismantled for some reason or another, or harmlessly detonated, the threat of M.A.D. shriveled up to nothingness. They had nothing to fight back with beyond words, which only revealed them to be the greedy frightened children that they were.
Original projections of the war calculated a 60% loss of life for the entire earth over the course of two and a half decades. The introduction of the Imperator reduced those statistics immensely, roughly only a 5% loss of human lives and the open conflict ended after five years it had started which was only three years after the Imperator rose to power. It would of course be many more decades before the planet was completely conquered, and terrorists were a concern for a time, the Imperator would grow old as the Imperium had grown stronger, uniting the people under one banner at long last.

Magic and it's societal Impact
Posted 6 years agoSo this journal http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9020235/ explains some of the mechanics and such behind magic, but there are 3 whole cultures that have it, among various background factions.
The Gaian Imperium stance on Magus is welcoming, they have always been the forefront of welcoming the strange and unique, it makes sense for them to be welcoming of the Magus. The Magus Guild is all in one education center specifically for Magus, this is needed due to the fact standard education centers are ill equipped to handle Magus, piping through the school would cause a rather rampant Daiukla infestation. So, Magus go through all education at the Magus Guild to guide them through their progress as a Magus, primarily getting them to control their abilities and prevent accidents.
Magus also have a born awareness of bodies of water near them, and like how some people get motion sick from traveling in planes or cars, Magus are highly prone to sea sickness, and in some cases have psychotic breakdowns if out on the open ocean for a extended period of time, it's theorized that those before "The Awakening" who had a fear of water were Magus.
Society wise, Magus are treated roughly the same as everyone else, due to the hazards of magic use they are kept near the Magus Guild. Mild segregation occurs, and untested or young Magus who wish to travel in the general populace are required to wear a Null Icon, Icon's being simple jewelry with circuits on them. Null Icon's are primarily necklaces, on occasion a arm bracer, something easily hidden to reduce the social stigma. Eventually though a Magus reaches a point in training where they can request becoming a Null, how ever due to the rarity of Magus the one requesting it simply has a Null Icon locked on their person and they then live a few months outside the Magus Guild, afterwords they can request a permanent branding, or they can simply keep the Null Icon as it was voluntary, Null Branding is primarily reserved for criminal Magus.
Culturally, The Imperium is looking to welcome and include the Magus, though the need to keep them separate due to safety is a little stigmatizing for Magus growing up. The General populace has been welcoming, but there is still some concern, mainly due to the Magic and Water not mixing very well, considering people are made up mostly of water causes a bit of fear in people. As such, in the Imperium Magus are primarily used for infrastructure and military operations, and unsurprisingly despite the Mechamorphs being biomechanical they are so far incapable of carrying the Magus gene, but they can benefit greatly from Magus circuits, considering their plating can be removed and reattached and charged by a Magus for a boost. In infrastructure they are predominantly used for small scale detailed work, though they are on occasion used for rush large scale jobs.
The Solarium Empire takes a opposite view to the Magus, or as they refer to them in as Abyssals or Messengers, viewing those with Magic as...well Messengers of doom, as they turn water into portals for Daiukla, or "demons" to the Solarium to come oozing through. But still the Solarium Church won't out right ignore a potential resource, so with the massses viewing Abyssals as 'demon spawn' the church is then free to round them up and use them. While the Imperium nulls their Magus, the Solarium has a unifying rule for all criminals, death, usually via labor or suicidal missions.
Oddly enough the Solarium does educate their mages, while they are publicly reviled that is mostly to allow the church to round them up and turn them into devoted zealots for the church, because having people who can convert lead into gold, create fire or lightning from their fingers are rather useful to keep around. That is after intense brainwashing to make them wholly devoted to the Solarium Empire and the Empress. These Abyssals are referred to as "The Coven" among the Solarium, misinformation has the general populace believe these "Coven" are beings so devote to the Empress they are granted powers.
The New Lunar Republic is generally uninterested in the Magus or Mages, primarily due to their disposition towards cybernetic and genetic modifications, as such they can create as many Mages as they wish. And due to the mages ability to contaminate water, there are loads of monitor equipment to detect any mages near a water supply. Such incidents are simply "Shoot to kill" should a Mage attempt such. Being a Mage is viewed much the same as someone being Cyber Augmented or Spliced in the NLR, it's just another personal alteration, as such there isn't any social stigma towards it, no more than usual anyway, even with the whole "Can turn water into a sinewy mass of eldritch mage eating goo."
How ever it was learned that Mages and Augmentations do not mix well without appropriate circuits traveling down the Mage's replaced arms. After all, a mage has to touch a circuit to power it, they are incapable of channeling their internal energy through their augments without a circuit to carry the energy, rendering a Mage rather incapable of using a staff properly unless they have the proper circuit in their augmented arm, as such most mages tend to simply go for splicing over cyber augmentation, with the exception of mental boosting augments.
One thing to point out, is the various factions have their own Circuit language. The Imperial Circuit language is more lines and angles with the occasional circle to make a circuit. Solarium focuses more on circles and curves to make their circuits, more akin to the standard 'summoning circle' seen in comics and the like. The NLR has their Mage circuits mimic standard electronic circuits, straight smooth lines that end in dots or circles a example of NLR Mage Circuitry is http://www.furaffinity.net/view/29724989/ , i'll more than likely have more later on. Another note, All Magus eyes glow when performing their magic, and typically they have brighter colored irises, aside from that they are indistinguishable from other humans

The Imperium and Magic.
Posted 6 years agoSo I had always planned on having Magic in the Gaian Imperium, the idea being it starts off as a Post modern fantasy setting, akin to Marvel, and eventually becomes a sci-fantasy setting, but I didn't want magic to be this random deux ex machina thing. So I delayed putting anything about it, and then I came across something on Tumblr, http://mercenary-tributary.tumblr.c.....se-description , http://mercenary-tributary.tumblr.c.....constructs-the , http://mercenary-tributary.tumblr.c.....ar-1962-combat , http://mercenary-tributary.tumblr.c.....up-oc-amalgams , and am essentially using this as the basis for my system. It's a mixture of Psychic abilities and alchemy, i'm also going to be using this system, mechanically at least, for my Fantasy realm, Idir.
So, basic idea is long ago humans had magic, but it kept fucking things up and so a group of them went and created the Null Field Generators, which was build with rather horrendous methods. But the NFG's were made all over the globe, cutting off magic for everyone and eventually it faded into myth, with the help of Gaia the NFG's were buried, keeping them from being accidentally found and broken.
With the Imperium's rise Gaia saw they would be the ones to inherit the earth and go beyond, and so she slowly started breaking the NFG's, allowing for the Imperium to gain significant advantages over the other super powers at the time, as if they technological advanced weren't enough. But the NFG's were still in place over the rest of the globe, and as they conquered new lands the hidden away NFG was destroyed, adding a bit of "Divine provenance" to the Imperium's conquering of the world, which certainly made things interesting.
Mages are uncommon, roughly a 1/100 ratio of a population and have no visible physical traits to separate them from the general population. Genetically they are very much the same, it took a few years before finding the gene in common of the mages. All Magus have the ability to manipulate the elements around them, more practiced mages can even focus on specific chemicals to separate or combine them, they how ever have a rather limited range that grows over time at a steady rate, well steady for the individual but rates between mages can vary.
The Area of Influence is a basic sphere shape with the center being the Magus center of gravity, the radius of it grows with the Magus age, skilled mages are able to manipulate their AOI, how ever no Magus is capable of increasing their max area of influence the most they can do is change it's shape to have it extend out forward in a straight line or any other shape as desired, but their AOI can only shrink, not expand.
So what exactly can a Magus do? In their AOI they can, with training, manipulate the elements, telekinesis, and even being capable of telepathy though that requires much more focus. Primarily they mentally induce alchemical reactions, changing one thing into another thing, like grass into bread, lead into gold, as such most Magus keep a few basic ingredients on them so they can use their preferred reactions, though most basic elemental reactions can be done with basic training, primarily fire being the most common one as it simply requires the Magus.
Further more all Magus have roughly the same potential for their craft, after all it's just a matter of training, though some do take to the training faster than others, as with all things. By default the Magus AOI is always the sphere around them, and always at their max radius unless consciously reduced. The reasoning behind why the Magus are taught to reduce their radius is due to the side effect using magic, which is that the use of it creates the Daiukla, or in simplistic terms Demons.
Under standard conditions Magus radiate a energy when performing their feats of magic, a form of radiation that is so far deemed harmless, save for the effect of creating Daiukla. Standard Daiukla formation happens when a Magus performs magic while a body of water is in their AOI, though the contamination dissipates completely after two hours when it's source of Magus Radiation is gone. How ever, should a Magus perform a rather constant assortment of Magic it can cause Daiukla to form from smaller sources of water, including the Magus own chemical makeup, though this takes an intense amount of effort to actually do as it requires constant and heavy magic use, which is mentally and physically taxing on Magus.
Simplisticaly Daiukla are harmless, or more accurately simply uninterested, to non Magus. A basic mass of Daiukla formed in water is little more than a sinewy fungus to a non Magus, how ever should a Magus come into contact with the mass it will latch on and fuse with what ever the mass can latch onto and feed off of the Magus Radiation. Simple infestations can be removed, some require amputation. Extreme cases, such as a Magus who ends up submerged after death, or who just so happens to unluckily(or mostly stupidly) end up in a body of water that had been contaminated with Daiukla end up becoming Possessed in best case, Amalgam at worst.
Possessed are what happens when Daiukla get a hold of a Magus and consume them, at that point the Magus had better hope they are dead before they hit the water as the process is horrific. Amalgams are what happen when the consuming is interrupted, or it just goes bad. Possession will always happen should a Magus corpse be deposited in a large body of water, such as a lake or a tank of roughly a thousand gallons of water and be left alone. Amalgams happen due to people attempting to rescue a Magus from their fate and are simply are too late, the Possession is interrupted and can leave the Magus deformed, constant pain, or mentally unstable which makes them very dangerous.
The typical process for Possession is the Magus corpse is 'carried over' to the Abhoth realm where the Daiukla continue to congeal on the barest remnants of the Magus corpse, all that is needed for a Possession is the Brain, Spinal column and Lungs, from this the Possessed takes a rough shape. It is both a Daiukla and the Magus, hence the term Possessed. It has access to the Magus memory and knowledge, though this can sometimes be fragmented due to how much decay had settled into the Magus before it reached the large body of water.
For a Magus to be completely Possessed the body has to have at least it's center of gravity submerged, or the torso and head, allowing for partial Possession to allow minor motor control to pull the limbs in and consume them before the Daiukla dissipates into Abhoth to congeal. As such, it takes a Possessed some time to congeal, and then it has to simply happen upon a Magus using magic near a large enough mass of water to allow it to come through back into Gaia.
From the Possessed information about Abhoth is obtained, it's a mirror realm of sorts. It's not a perfect duplication, more like a tracing or interpretation of what Gaia looks like. Abhoth is also getting a more defined shape with more Magic use and more Magus becoming possessed, each bit of Magic used sends out a pulse to Abhoth, providing more unique shape to the realm, but so far no Magus has been able to go to the Abyss and return without becoming Possessed.
Now on to Circuits and Constructs, which is where the Magus truly shine. While all a Magus can really do is mentally invoke chemical reactions in a limited area to achieve a desired result, such as heating up an area, rapidly cooling it, to loosening the dirt beneath their feet and tunneling through it like an ant or simply throwing things, Circuits allow the Magus to do much more complex things.
It is often referred too as "Reality Programming", as the circuits follow exacting and specific patterns, using specific resources to make, to achieve a specific result. Circuits can be made with any conductive material, the more conductive the better, as such Silver is the preferred metal of choice, gold a close second and copper in third place. They are a language, one found out mostly through trial and error of early Magus, and with some assistance from the Possessed who recall information found in Abhoth. Circuits have to be followed precisely if you wish to achieve a certain result, if it's messed up a little the end result can be off, a circuit for a simple Fireball with a deviation could cause said fireball to either be too big, too small, shorten the life span of it, to making it happen so fast it explodes in the Magus face.
This has been experimented on and Circuits allow Magus to not just build, but manipulate laws of reality, such as inverting gravity, creating a oasis in the middle of a desert, or completely blocking off a world from Magic. Also by etching the Circuit into the ground around an area the Magus can then charge it and turn unrefined raw materials and make a building to exacting specifics in a matter of hours with little to no effect upon the Magus.
The Null Field Generators were circuits, the one flaw of Circuits is they have to be powered by a Magus, and Magus are essentially limitless batteries of Magic, though their minds can only handle so much strain from constant use of Magic before they cause Daiukla to infest themselves. The NFG's were powered by Magus that were effectively transmuted into the circuitry, powering them indefinitely, and each one required a lot of Magus for the desired range and effectiveness. Considering the cost, but also potential power of this, Magus Transmutation is highly frowned upon for selfish or basic reasons, and so far every known relic created in such a way has been confiscated by the Imperium, the more dangerous ones were destroyed, such as the NFG's, while the less harmful ones were turned into graves.
Circuits are made with conductive metals on a non conductive surface, such as Lead on Paper or Silver on Wood, this is to ensure the circuit is read properly as during early testing simply channeling energy into a conductive item does nothing. There is a difference between how Magic is done and Circuits as well. Circuits require a Magus to simply hold the item with the Circuit on it and focus on the Circuit they wish to charge, doing this is again, far less draining on a Magus than standard Magic but require much more preparation.
Now from Circuits we have Constructs, which are a bit more complex. Constructs are Daiukla congealed around a Circuit core, which is simply the Construct's heart and brain in one item. More complex circuits for more complex independent thinking, how ever the Creation Pool for a Construct has to be specially created, purified water with some of their Magus DNA in it, Blood works best but hair and other materials can work if the Magus is unwilling.
The DNA in the water allows for a "bond" between Magus and Construct, as the core allows some basic autonomous activities from the Construct, such as motor controls, basic body shape, simple things. The bond allows the Magus to directly influence or command the Daiukla, as well as allowing the construct to react to the Magus instincts, acting as a faint extension/expression of a Magus instincts or strong emotions.
Also the initial congealing requires the Magus be careful, being so close to an infested source is still dangerous, the Daiukla will still attempt to reach out and consume or merge with the Magus. How ever once the construct Congeals and is removed from the infested source it is harmless to the Magus, allowing a Magus to directly interact with the Daiukla mass. Depending on the complexity of the core the Construct can be a simple beast to an moderately intelligent companion.
And as long as the Magus charges the Core, which again is dependent on the circuit, the Construct will keep on trucking on. Without a charge in the core the Construct starts to slow, fall apart, or out right dissolve. Then it's a simple matter to retrieve the core and do the process again. Some Magus create their core's with a "Charging rod", allowing them to recharge their Construct, as empathy is a thing and people bond with their constructs, much like how people bond with dogs, or have a favorite hammer. As well as a theory that Constructs are capable of learning, growing, even evolving, but so far it is just a theory.
Magus also are known to get Circuit Tattoos or Schemas engraved on their bodies, or they write them down on cloth strips and wrap them around a limb to make use of them. Schemas are more complex than standard Circuits, not that circuits aren't already complex, as most Magus Schemas are either extremely low cost passive circuits, such as ones that react to airborn toxin's or to adjust someones eyesight(such as removing the need for glasses/contacts), while others can be toggled on like a lightning schema etched into a magus arm to Schemas that can boost physical strength or neurological processing which is a very common schema for Magus to have engraved on themselves.
It is also known for the Null Schema to be rather forcefully grafted onto offending Magus, and it is intended to not be toggleable and a constantly running Schema that cancels out all other Schema's and prevents all Magic done by the Magus, it cuts them off completely, it also has the added benefit of rendering the Magus immune to Possession, though there are some Magus who simply do not want the gift and welcome the Null Schema.
Other's accept it with a modification, turning themselves into mobile Null Generator's, which when near a Magus disable their magic, how ever Null Generator's only affect Magic done in the Nullifier AOI or Circuits in the AOI, meaning Magus attacks, such as fireballs from a Magus or from a Staff, upon coming into contact with a Nullifier AOI will fizzle out of existence. Nullifiers also are used to quickly clear an area of Daiukla, as a Nullifier cancels out lingering Magus Radiation, which also causes Daiukla to dissolve as they require Magus Radiation to exist in our realm.
How ever not only can Magus benefit from Schema's, but non magus can have them engraved as well, along with an appropriate addition so it can hold a charge, allowing a Magus to charge a person's Schema's and give them the same boost, although only for as long as the charge lasts. Circuit Batteries can be an addition to any kind of Circuit but are not mandatory, so long a Magus is holding the item and channeling energy through the circuit it will function.
It was through the return of Magic that allowed the Imperium to start tunneling into other dimensions. With the use of Circuits and Magus they are able to create gateways to other realms, realities. Their process is simple, send a team through with resources to survive and build a return gate, if they return further exploration is done and possible expansion, if they do not return the 'address' is put on a list and cataloged should the expedition ever return, as different realities can have different passage of times.

The Realms of Solas, Scath, and Idir
Posted 8 years agoWEW! More world building! WOO! Fantasy world time~ Enjoy the read.
In the begining there was Solas and Scath, Light and Shadow. Two realms, two opposites. As is the nature of things, opposites attract, the logical and emotionless beings of Solas and the creative and passionate Scath, beings of pure energy whom clashed when ever they met. So they kept their distance for the most part, though their nature kept drawing them back together and they clashed each time, until the Barrier appeared. It occured during a clash, some remants of Scath and Solas collided, and during that a blast of energy erupted and suddenly there was a barrier between the two realms. A whole new realm had appeared between them actually, and the two realms found themselves stuck in place, unable to pull away or draw closer, unable to see one another, only the barrier in between them.
This new realm is a place of matter, physical materials. This world appeared, scattered through out it are mountains, oceans, forests, deserts, jungles, tundras, and life. Beasts roam the world, following the cycle of life. Everything was peaceful, until the Scath grew bored of watching the cycle, the order, and wanted something new to happen, and so they tried to reach out and change something, anything really. And they had succeeded in doing just that. They weren't able to enter the realm, but they could push their influence into it and the realm, Idir, would react to it and respond. The Scath's influence caused the Darath to come into existence.
The Darath are the beasts of Idir but smarter, larger, and more wild. Darath range from the lowly insects of the world to the great mammoth pachyderms that roam the tundras, but given vaguely humanoid forms. Some walk on two legs, others four, others have two arms, or four, even six depending on their primal kin. And so the Darath went rampant, being smarter than their beastial kin they outclassed them and slowly their primal counterparts were being wiped out by the Darath, the circle of life was disrupted which drew the attention of the Solas.
The Solas liked the order of things, it amused them to watch, in fact the order of it all was the only thing that made their confinement bareable, so they did as the Scath had done, pushing their influence onto the world, but much more refined. Ontop the moutains of the world, high above the ground of Idir, the Elvan took shape, spawned forth from the purity of the Solas, their energy seeping into the world and being reshaped by it. Much to the Solas dismay their creations were...not as they anticipated but acceptable.
The Elvan stand tall, roughly seven feet of slender blue flesh with white eyes and matching hair. The Elvan were unlike anything else on Idir, simply being distilled Solas energy given physical shape by the rules of the realm of Idir. They are made of flesh, but fueled by etheral energy their lives are much longer than that of the Darath, whom only a few can manage to survive for a century, during which the last few decades they are weak, frail, generally worthless save for providing wisdom to the younger generations. The Elvan simply leaves the physical world, returning to the ether only to get bounced back by the barrier and reborn, lacking the knowledge of it's former life and made young again to go through it's life again over the next thousand years.
They were a potent force in bringing the Darath in line, mostly in quelling their numbers. The Elvan went on with their task, unleashing powerful magics upon the Darath, sending them fleeing and breaking their numbers. Their task was completed after a few centuries, the Darath unable to adapt to the Elvan magics and the Scath simply watched and pouted from beyond the ether. The Elvan how ever were not unscathed from the war, as most of them returned to the mountains to maintain a vigil over the Darath, many remained behind to explore Idir and learn of it, infected with a curiosity for this new life they have, wanting more purpose to it beyond just beating down the savages and keeping them in line.
And so the Elvan split off into the Elduun, Eldari, and Elglin. The Elduun bonded with the nature of Idir, over a few generations they became a foot shorter than their Elvan kin, averaging at six feet tall, with a few rare ones keeping the seven foot height. Their skin turned to a caramel color from the sun heating them up and their eyes changed from the pure white to a mixture of colors, just like their hair. Bodies grew denser, stronger, as they learned to live with nature, gently bending it to their will as well as hunting the beasts of the land, maintaining the balance of nature while tending to their needs and desire, unlike the Elvan which eat a primarily vegetarian diet, occasionally consisting of fish or birds from high in the mountains or frozen ponds. The Elduun became the watchers of nature, and eventually took over the role of watching over the surface Darath, keeping them in line and in check over the millennium.
The Eldari ventured into the caves, exploring the dark shadows of Idir and coming to master them. In the darkness of the caves their flesh paled, eyes grew solid black, and their hair changed to match their eyes. Their bodies shrank to a five foot height on average, Not as muscular as the Elduun but more so than the Elvan, the Eldari learned to be agile, moving quickly in the shadows to avoid the Darath that had mastered living there long before them. Eventually they learned the magic of shadows, just as the Elduun mastered the magic of nature and the Elvan of light. The Eldari combined this with learning of the darker underworld of Idir, the poisonous plants and fungi that dwelled down there as well as the powerful and venomous predators, learning to craft weaponry and thrive in the underworld, learning to avoid the poisons and venoms of their prey so they can survive. The Eldari came to become the vigil over the shadows, keeping the underworld Darath in check just as the Elduun do with the surface.
Now the Elglin are...the mutant cousins of the Elvan. One of the splinter groups of Elvan ventured out and encountered Idrium, the raw primordial energy of Idir from when it formed into existence. This energy changed them, mutated them really, from their seven foot tall blue skinned selves to a three to four foot tall, stocky, green skinned maniacs. The Elglin are chaotic, mischievous little critters, wholly unlike the rest of their kin. While the others have arcane power and the will to use it, the Elglin lack the discipline, but they didn't stop them from harnessing that power. The Idrium having changed them in more than just appearance, they became much smarter, even if it's chaotic and they can't really get anything done in any sort of timely fashion. They fashioned technology that tapped into their latent magic and harnessed it for various effects, ranging from moving things to making things blow up, they had magical powered tools for...pretty much everything, but mostly blowing stuff up.
And much unlike their cousins still the Elglin never remained unified, often splitting up and forming groups, wreaking havoc among Darath and their El-kin but never unifying. The Chaos brought on by the Elglin was rather small, more of an annoyance that slowed some things down rather than cause any actual harm. Somehow, as if by the will of Idir itself, the Elglin provide a bit of chaos to the order of things, bringing about the return of the natural cycle of things in Idir. From on high the Elvan watched this, even they succumbed to the occasional Elglin harassment, but seeing their importance to the cycle they stayed their hand, letting their deformed cousins run mostly free, but always making sure they never go too far.
Now back to the El-kin reincarnation, the Eldari, Elduun, and Elvan souls are interchangable, only their flesh really changed. They pair up, give birth, grow old, and die, their soul leaves their body and lingers until a new El-kin is conceived. Only the Elvan and Elglin differ, in that the Elvan bodies kind of fade away and the Elglin souls are too different, they have their own cycle of reincarnation. The Elvan, Eldari and Elduun souls simply merge together once outside their bodies and then when a new El-kin is concieved a spark of life is created from the merged collection of souls and it sparks the creation of a new soul in the concieved El-kin. The Elglin follow the same process, but don't have the same shared pool as the other El-kin, their souls far too changed from the idrium.
And so over the millennium the cycle goes on. Occasionally the Darath build up and among them a "Dara" rises forth, one of the Darath that is superior to the others and able to bring them under heel enough to unify them. Once unified they gather in numbers to try and 'reclaim' Idir from the El-kin, only to be repelled and defeated each time thus far. This just becomes another part of the cycle, the El-kin keeping an eye on the Darath as each time they grow more clever, more ferocious, fearing the day when they manage to actually push the El-kin back, thankfully though none of the Dara has managed to learn of the arcane.
The El-kin start building their civilizations as well, with the exception of the Elglin of course. Eldari building grand cities in the underworld, carved out of the caves and illuminated by the bioluminescent fungi and arcane fires. Elduun growing grand trees and living inside and around them. The Elvan taking to put a little knowledge of Idir to work and make grand floating cities, hovering above the ground from a mixture of arcane and science, these floating cities travers the realm, leaving very little unexplored.
It was the Elvan that first found the budding civilization of Humans first. While the El-kin had fought the Darath over millenia the beasts of Idir were all but ignored, and the cleverest of these beasts, the simian, watched and learned from the wars ravaged across the surface and underworld. Some simians took to the harsher areas of the realm, where the Darath were few and nature kept their numbers in line, others took to the underworld and took refuge in similar places there. Humans are decendent of the surface dwelling simians, and caused quite a stirr among the Elvan as they shared their basic shape, the Elvan almost mistook them for a Darath uprising, were it not for the Elduun butting in the Elvan would have started a war with the Humans.
The Elduun stepped in and spoke with the humans, after learning to speak their language, and came to understand them. The Humans were of Idir's natural evolution, not tampered by the Scath or Solas, which was something the Elduun or Elvan never considered, after all the Darath kept most of their primal kin from really developing. And these Humans learned to survive and adapt and thrive in places where even the Darath were struggling, and in many cases had even tamed the Darath. This stirred something in the El-kin, something about these Humans made them...afraid.
When they faced the Darath hordes they stood unafraid, fearless before the savage beasts, and yet these hairless apes before them, just learning how to turn wheat into bread, struggling to unify themselves under a single banner, a single cause, stirred some kind of fear in them. Not even a unified people and they were masters of this world, taming the beasts...no, subjugating the beasts to their will, breeding them for selective purposes and desires, they were Idir's chosen. And this put a fear in the Elduun and Elvan, if Humans could subjugate the Darath, what would they be able to do to them in time? Naturally the Elvan brush this off as the Darath are simple savages, the Elduun were reluctant at first but soon agreed, after all the Humans had no magic.
And so the Elduun and Elvan stepped back, and kept an eye on the humans. It was then they heard from the Eldari, whom had found another branch of simians dwelling in the underworld. The Dwarves, found by a expidition of Eldari into the darkest depths of the underworld, exploring the unexplored and in search of any hidden Darath strong holds, found Dwarven fortresses of metal and stone. The Dwarves are distant cousins of Humans, both decendent from simians, but living in the underworld caused the dwarves to grow stockier, where the average human height is five to six feet, dwarves are roughly all around four feet, and much more muscular and gruff by nature. The dwarves, much like their kin, adapted to their new environment. They watched and learned from nature itself, living primarily near lava flows that provided light and warmth, their skin still grew pale though freckled with red, their hair matching the same firey red color as well. They watched as lava melted rock and left behind something harder, and over time they learned to forge and craft metal.
With metal tools the Dwarves gained ground and florished, building their homes out of the very walls and expanding from that, building towns, villages, cities. They grew rapidly, after all with metal armor no fang or claw could compete against it, and the Eldari were far away, the Darath in this deep were few in number from the lack of life from the harshness of the environment. The Dwarves adapted to this by capturing, taming, and breeding the various primal beasts as food, as well as making use of the little plantlife there, but eventually they encountered their kin and formed something of an alliance with a few of the surface villages near one of their cave cities. The human village provided them with their excess food, the dwarves give them steel to defend from Darath.
The Eldari were naturally curious about the dwarves, just as the Elvan and Elduun were of humans, and that curiosity became dread once the Eldari realized what the Dwarves are, and that dread was soon buried under denial and bravado. So now the El-kin are aware of the Dwarven Empire swelling in the underworld, and the budding human civilization on the surface, and they moved to try and control the situation. Eldari approaching the Dwarves with offers of trades, foods and the like, knowledge, while doing so they whispered of the humans of the surface, questioning the Dwarves of their unity with the 'primitive' humans. This sowed some deceit among the Dwarves, crumbling away at the alliance between the Dwarves and Humans.
At the same time the Elduun and Elvan work with the humans, deciding to guide them along a path favorable to them, to control the humans. During all this a discovery was made. The Dwarves are resistant to the arcane ways, only the most potent of magics have any affect on a dwarf. Where as the Humans shocked the Elvan and Elduun by learning magic. After all, it was something the Elvan brought into Idir, it wasn't there before they arrived and the Darath had yet to show any kind of arcane ability over millenium, and here are these Humans who can learn to weild it or the Dwarves who resist it simply by existing. The El-kin grew startled by this, and the Humans and Dwarves took notice and distanced themselves from them. They knew something was wrong and took a step back to look at themselves and grow without the El-kin guidance.
Humans had a harder time of it than the Dwarves. The Eldari had difficulty getting past Dwarven walls, something about the metal, or perhaps it was just the dwarves themselves, made their magics not able to peirce into their cities. Humans were at the mercy of the Elduun forests and floating cities of the Elvan, they couldn't hide and so they worked. Thriving under pressure they developed and learned. They learned how to use the arcane arts, they learned from the Elgin even in this regard. Occasionally they met with the dwarves, learning of their forging techniques, what they would share at least, and went on to put it to use. The Humans were not unified, but they were spread out and diverse. In one region humans focused on alchemy and architecture, creating gunpowder and cannons. In another the humans became masters of agriculture and medicine, taming the land to provide plentiful amounts of food. They were all over the place, no single human kingdom was any more important than the other, preventing the Elvan and Elduun from controlling the humans...their lack of unity yet dependence on one another made them uncontrollable.
So by now the El-kin had given up on taming these simians, these...Mon-Kai people, and returned to watching over the Darath for uprising, though with the humans spread out so far they pretty much did that themselves on the surface, leaving only the underworld in need of the Eldari to watch over the deep dwelling Darath. Though it wasn't long after this that the Elvan noticed something. They brought magic into the realm of Idir, what did the Darath bring? And they started searching for it. They feared what they found.
Abominations, Monsters, not simple primal beasts but creatures of cunning, intelligence, and violence. The Elvan had found Althana, the Mother of Monsters. Just as the Elvan were created from the pure energy of the Solas, Althana was spawned from the Scath. The Darath was just an experiment by the Scath, to see if they could affect Idir, Althana and her ilk are their true creations. These eldritch beings, deformed and warped, unlike anything in Idir, were a blight to the Elvan and brought with them the Scath's magics, which struck down the Elvan, managing to destroy their souls, preventing the energy from entering the El-kin cycle.
War erupted soon, the abominations sprouting out from the deepest depths of Idir, wreaking all manner of chaos and ravaging the lands. These beings of Scath were able to slay El-kin and prevent their reincarnation, this caused them to pause with fear for the first time. How ever the Dwarves and Humans had no such fear, having their own varied beliefs upon what happens after death, their short lives, well short compared to el-kin, they charged forth. The El-kin were being pushed back hard by the Umbrians and in comes the Humans. Cannons blasting loud and the clash of crafted steel against flesh and chitin, the Humans came in waves, beating against the Umbrians. The Dwarves moved after the Umbrians were pushed back to their caves, they had everything rigged up and released the hellfire explosives. The Umbrian's were buried in their caves, the stragglers on the surface hunted down to extinction, and all hoped that their Mother was buried with them.
With the Umbrian's skirmish into the surface world they brought with them Idrium from the deepest depths of Idir. Humans and Dwarves sadly succumbing to the strange and altered energies of primordial Idir. Idrium came in two forms, the primal green and aged and refined purple, the green flowed underground where purple bubbled to the surface. Dwarves affected by Idrium were mutated, but unlike the Elglin they grew taller, much taller. The Dwarves didn't lose muscle mass, if anything they gained it, but they lost some of their finer thinking as they grew to hulking six feet tall beasts of green skin and matching eyes. They didn't lose their love of tools though, while not as skilled as their dwarven kin these new...Okrins became adept at makeshift weaponry, able to turn just about anything into some kind of tool of war.
Humans affected by Idrium grew as well, taking on a towering eight foot height, looming over even the Elvan. These newly formed Trolok matched their Okrin kin in strength, but surpassed them with intelligence and their use of magic. When compared to humans the Trolok are only barely lesser than humans in intelligence. But these off shoots of Human and Dwarf joined together, forming into roaming bands across Idir. Trolok becoming leaders of their tribes, occasionally orcs rising to the position depending on the group, and as a whole they joined in the crazy cycle of Idir.
Millennium pass, old foes forgotten, the Darath uprisings sprouting up every few millennium or so and put down. The "Corrupted" as they came to be known, the Okrin, Trolok, and Elglin, occasionally would group together as the Darath did, attempting to form into a civilization of some sort only for everything to erupt into a wave of war across Idir only to eventually be put down and they are disbanded yet again, scattered across Idir. Occasionally outcasts mingle into the various civilizations, becoming simple workers or proving their worth and loyalty to become citizens.
All in all, things are well. The realm still settling after its forming, civilizations getting their footholds and attempting to unify while the El-kin keep a watchful eye on the Humans and Dwarves as they grow. All the while the Mother of Monsters quietly bides her time, keeping herself hidden while sowing seeds of her ilk among the surface, prepairing to open the tunnels to the underground and free the horde and claim Idir for Scath, as is her purpose.
In the begining there was Solas and Scath, Light and Shadow. Two realms, two opposites. As is the nature of things, opposites attract, the logical and emotionless beings of Solas and the creative and passionate Scath, beings of pure energy whom clashed when ever they met.
The Gaia Imperium
Posted 8 years agoSo sitting, pondering, still pondering really...this is something of an...extension to the Terran Imperium. I'm thinking of keeping the two...kind of separate. The Terran Imperium being the "Post Modern" version with "Gaia Imperium" being the "Space Age" setting, with them more readily exploring the cosmos, meeting new alien species, ect. So, let's get on with the story! (Inspired by https://i.imgur.com/mQeVaNc.png )
Starting Playback.
Life is a curious thing. A thing of chance, an accident really, fusing of proteins and acids in protozoic slime. Early memories are a blurr, just the warmth of the stars and then the sudden emergence into the nightmare. Cold water, drowning me though a warmth buried under stone, water, air as I am surrounded by the blackness, the void, unable to reach out as the weight of the universe pressed down on me. So...I looked inward and saw them. Life, tiny little specs that disturbed my slumber. So I hurt them, venting my anger for the cosmos on them, and I realized that as I hurt them...they grew stronger, swifter and the more they changed, the smarter they became. I became connected to them, this...life upon me, and through them I felt exhaustion, pleasure, fear of death, and the lust for life.
So I wanted them to become better, I hurt them more. They grew, fusing together in small creatures which grew larger. I pitted them against one another, drowning them in darkness so they had to feast on eachother and they grew...clever, cunning. They learned of hunger from me. As they grew wiser, so did I. I came to understand that as they grow, so do I, something my primordial brain had only suspected up until that point. As I grow more willful, they become more complex. As the Tyrannosaurus Rex roared to the heavens in love of me, I roared back. It wasn't good enough, it loved me, appreciated what I had given it so I destroyed it, completely, and all of it's kin. They were weak and I purged them with fire, smoke, and smoldering stone.
This...Grotesque Beauty came next. At first I had low expectations of the ape. He worked with his kin and shunned his claws for tools. As I was about to roar at them as I had what came before something...unexpected happened. Ape slew his brother with a shard of bone. That was...something I hadn't seen before. So I stayed the fire and watched my new favorite son, and never did he cease to amaze me. The might mammoth struck down, wolves were tamed and set upon their brothers. He murdered his kin for pleasure and profit, for things that had nothing to do for survival. I denied him resources, to fuel his thirst for blood, and he complied. And he raged wars, gathering into tribes, clans, nations, empires, to pillage and plunder!
He tore what he needed from my flesh and ate his fill without thanks. It was the pain of birth that had long been denied me, and with it, I grew stronger. Great empires were built, fueled by my bones and the stolen blood of the sun. My sky grew clouded with ambition, hate, and a thirst for the wealth I denied him. Always I denied him, wouldn't any good mother do the same? He became the strength of my arm, the hunger in my belly. As he grew, driving great spires and wires into my heart, and through them electricity surged forth. I was free now to wander his wisdom, to communicate him in my way. The desires of man was made manifest before me, and I twisted them, aiming them upwards. From that I saw, much to my disdain, other worlds. Still pristine and beautiful, worlds that had chosen weakness.
And I knew jealousy then. My sons...my daughters...They knew my hunger. They knew my list. And they carried it with them as they reached to the cosmos, to satisfy their, and my, thirst upon the blood of those worlds. What was birthed from the stars shall now swallow them whole! Tremble, galaxy, for Earth...for Gaia and her children have behold you.
And we find you wanting.
Mother Gaia speech, date March 27, 3387 A.D. Day of Ascension and start of the new calendar.

The Imperium had only recently uncovered the...avatar. A sort of golem that Mother Gaia had constructed, so that she could one day speak to her worthy children. A few decades it was made known to the Terran Imperium and made herself...known to us. The end product of her raising, her Children she called us. We had just started construction of the ships in orbit, prepairing ourselves to venture forth in the solar system and start colonizing and harvesting the other worlds.
We had already lost the moon and the initial testing engines of the FTL drives so that put us behind, morale was...lowered but steady. How ever after meeting Mother Gaia...it soared. The Imperium's views validated by the spirit of our home world. Nothing quite like that to boost a peoples morale, to spur them forward. While now there is some debate, still, about the whole "Spirit of earth" thing, but her talks, and that speech, is what ushered in the new age, the Terran Imperium now renamed the Gaia Imperium...somewhat fitting as we go and explore the stars.
The ships moved past the man made satellite affectionately referred too as "The Death Star" given that it was...for all intents and purposes, a replacement for the moon, and set course, reaching the edge of our own solar system in a matter of seconds. From there the work started, after the initial celebration of cheers. Asteroids were gathered up, the floating factories getting to work breaking apart and smelting down the ores from the asteroids and funneling the resources back to Gaia, fueling more construction.
Sure, the Imperium has energy to matter conversion, but it requires immense power, so it's only used for the pure essentials for the masses, primarily food. As such all other resources are harvested and put to use, either as they are or they are converted. Old tales of turning lead to gold are a reality these days in the Imperium, while making something from nothing costs immense power, converting one thing to another uses substantially less, the more 'similar' the items are, the less energy used. So suffice to say, we still need raw resources, lots of it, to build a fleet.
And build a fleet we did. The Imperium's russian roots certainly seemed to have an effect on construction, the idea of "Bigger is Better" certainly is a thing. The average frigate being 10 kilometers long, corvettes being only a bit larger than that, and the capital ships being around 26 kilometers and the flagship being 30 kilometers. We took our time building these as well, after all these massive ships need crew and we weren't about to rely too heavily upon droids, so we had to hold things back while waiting for breeding and training to catch up.
Humanity is a thing to behold when we are mostly focused on a goal. Two humans, purely dedicated to their cause, achieved flight, taking humans from the ground to the sky. Just two of them. The Imperium had millions of humans dedicated to their areas of work, and thousands of 'morphs as well...whom might as well be human, even if they were only half. It's a scary thing to look at, seeing what the Imperium is doing now, what they can churn out in a few years, which soon turns to months as the process gets streamlined, the kinks ironed out, everything just goes smoother. More people join in, new techniques are invented.
By the time we had reached Alpha Centauri and started colonizing another star system we could crank out a 28 kilometer dreadnaught in half a year, barring any delays in resources. But we kept expanding, growing. First was Alpha Centauri, then the Wolf system...Gliese, then Eridani...We had colonized 27 star systems before we had encountered another space faring species. With luck the history books will tell the truth, that some kid on the frontier testing for his pilot licence entered the wrong jump co-ordinates and ended up meeting an alien deep salvage team. That was first contact, two species meeting, neither knowing what to do, neither having been trained on how to handle the situation, so they both buggered off and later the "Official First Contact" happened, which was much more....textbook.
It took quite a while for the Imperium to settle down, for Cerberus to gather and decide just how to approach. No doubt the other side was asking the same questions, but in the end Cerberus settled on bringing a handful of ships. One of each class, Corvette, Frigate, Cruiser, Battlecruiser, Carrier, Dreadnaught, and finally the flag ship, Cerberus. Not an out right display of strength, but enough to show case our might. Little did we know that...our ships dwarfed that of the alien alliance, the Coalition of Worlds.
They came in a show of strength, after all their 'first' encounter was a frontier ship, poorly maintained, no weapons, not even a scout vessel. They thought it was such, figured humanity was 'new to the block' so to speak, that it was our FTL test ship. Oh it was hard to not be smug when we find out that we are the top dog, still. But it was...a little disappointing. Looking back on old sci-fi stories you always kind of expected humanity to be the underdog, we always portrayed ourselves as such...to keep our ego's from flaring too much.
It gets stranger still. Remember Mother Gaia's speech from earlier? The other beautiful worlds? Turns out...we were late to the game. Because Gaia pummeled us so much we didn't develop as fast as other worlds, but we developed heartier. These aliens were...soft, squishy, their worlds having only a third of earth's, and that is nothing to say of their climate. Pure garden worlds! The most they have to worry about is a breeze and some light rain. It's hilarious, laughable even...we step onto the galactic stage and are greeted by...this.
Needless to say they thought we were putting on a show of it. Their scientists all agreeing "No sentient life could come of these worlds, it's simply too chaotic, too harsh!" Luckily they didn't need to believe our origins for us to negotiate something of a truce. After all, we are the Gaia Imperium, we seek to conquer, though we prefer to do so peacefully. We weren't about to just give up our ways to join the Coalition of Worlds, which considering eighty percent of the Coalition is made up of herbivore species...calling it CoW is rather apt. And so we agreed to not seek out hostilities against those of the Coalition. In turn we got some trade agreements with various races, a few exchanges of technology though they were rather reluctant.
Despite their physical and mental limitations...at least compared to us "Deathworlders" they call us, their technology is rather advanced. Then again that should have been expected, after all they did have a few thousand years head start, but we are right on their heels. That didn't stop them from calling us barbarian's though, still "slinging rocks" at our enemies, they had all moved on to energy or plasma based weaponry and shields.
But still, it is an era of growth, expansion, peace even. For so long the Imperium had been at war on Gaia, fighting those that resisted the right of the Imperium, and we had purged them. Still we look for them, curious as to where they are, those that took the moon, we haven't heard anything from the Coalition, nothing official...just a few murmurs, whispers of sightings of a moving moon and of some growing empire out on the other end of the Coalition's space, this...Solarium Empire and New Lunar Republic...no official words have been exchanged, but they stayed out of eachother's hair, for the time being.
It's time for peace, to build bonds with other species, to convince them of our right, to conquer them with words. When that fails how ever...and only after it has failed numerous times, then we shall do as Mother Gaia taught. With fire and smoke and smoldering stone we will claim them in the end.
By the hammer and shield, for the Imperium, for Gaia!

World Building, Factions!
Posted 8 years agoSo i've been on a kick of world building and such, like the Phaedra, Imperium, Mol'Toks, Kyokin, all part of the same world~ But it's time to throw in some other human factions besides the Imperium.
First up we have the New Lunar Republic, a group that started out as resistance fighters against the spreading rule of the Imperium, afterall not everyone was keen on the idea of "Herms are the superior sex!" even if bowing down meant lifes basic needs would be met at no expense. But at this point in time they were not the New Lunar Republic, they were simply called Mercy, and for a while they put up a fight. Eventually though the Imperium's sheer power, and their propaganda, gained the upper hand, so Mercy's tactics escalated to near terrorist activities, while civilians were not targets if they were in the area around Imperium military positions, or a ranking official, they would be taken out regardless, having little to no restraints as to whom was caught in the crossfire if it meant a their target is dealt with.
Needless to say, things went worse, they grew more desperate, and to finally get some peace a truce was made. The Imperium would allow them to relocate to the Moon. It was part of the Imperium's plan to help purify earth and ensure their rule, round up all those who could not be converted and instead of killing them, move them somewhere else. So it wasn't just Mercy being relocated, but various other factions that had resisted the Imperium, all being transported to the moon. Not everyone got along, but they made a sort of peace on the moon, becoming the New Lunar Republic, and with bits of imperium tech they decided to...vanish. The moon was taken from earth's orbit, something that had been developed in secret and over the course of decades, and the moon simply...vanished, warped away leaving behind only particles of dust.
From there they were off in another part of the galaxy, far away from the prying eyes of the Imperium, where they could develop and grow in secret, hoping to one day take earth back from the Imperium. But as always...not everyone agreed with the NLR's plan, the growing Solarium religion on the moon had taken a big foot hold and were opposed to the sneaky tactics of the NLR, as well as not being declared the official religion of the moon, so they were forced to leave.
The Solarium is a sun worshiper religion, though it specifies the Sol sun, earth's sun specifically. While they agree with NLR's desire to retake earth, the Solarium want's to take back the entire Sol System, where the NLR simply want earth and to live there in peace. So in their exile from the NLR to a arid world in this far flung reach of the galaxy they discovered remnants of alien technology and studied it, discovering that it feeds off sun light, solar radiation, taking this as a sign they devoted themselves to rebuilding and using this technology, thus becoming the Solarium Empire.

The Kyokin
Posted 8 years agoDecided to make my "gnomes" into something more, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21733525/ , so I've started by calling them Kyokin~
The Kyokin are a subterranean dwelling species, having started on the surface, their small size forced them to retreat into the caves, and eventually further in and eventually they evolved to survive and thrive in the underground caverns. The Kyokin were able to thrive underground due to the unique fungus that was thriving underground, eventually the Kyokin and this Kinrui fungus formed a symbiotic relationship, the Kyokin building their homes out of the massive mounds of the bio-luminescent moss and mushrooms that grew wild in the underground.
As time went on the Kyokin thrived, developed into a civilization while being hidden away from those on the surface due to being so far down below. From growing up in such a symbiotic relationship with the Kinrui fungus, the fungus itself evolved to be more useful t o the Kyokin, reaching to the point the Kinrui fungus provided more than just housing and illumination, eventually the Fungus evolved to protect the Kyokin, and even as the Kyokin developed the ability to work metals and stone, they still incorporated the Kinrui into their clothing, sometimes their armor.
The Kyokin don't view death as an end, just a interruption. When a Kyokin dies, they are not buried or burned, they are given to the Kinrui, laid out on one of the beds of fungus and the Kinrui consumes them and a guardian rises forth, the Kyokin then continues to live on as a walking mass of Kinrui fungus. The Kinrui Fungus consumes the recently dead and molds it into a creature, composed primarily of the Kinrui fungus. This new mobile fungus is then able to further spread it's spores, allowing the species to flourish.
Eventually the Kyokin are found by the expanding Terran Imperium, the Kyokin were somewhat modernized, though very different than others, using a system of tubes made out of the Kinrui fungus for transportation, using the kinrui combined with their general construction practices to build their massive underground cities, they made a mild peace as the Imperium was expanding into their territory, so they made a treaty and the Imperium was allowed to stay and expand.

Cary, Dark Huntress, Profile!
Posted 9 years agoSo we have http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22176131/ and I decided to write up the profile here.
Cary! Not exactly a name that inspires fear or terror, specially when one is the offspring of some vague dark entity from the abyss, but that's Cary, the end result of some abyssal entity making it with a sabertooth tiger. Thankfully Cary turned out more like her mother, at least appearance wise.
On the outside Cary is a saber tooth tiger, purple fur, green eyes, and having adorned herself with bones of her various kills. On the inside how ever...It's like the tardis, if the tardis was inky black and full of tendrils and goo. If and when scientists get a hold of her, all they will find is a seemingly endless amount of tendrils, goo, and lots of space.
So now a bit more about Cary herself, she is a hunter! But that isn't saying much is it? She is a saber tooth tiger, they are all hunters, being a hunter isn't what makes her unique, nor how she hunts or even what she hunts, she is a weird tiger with dark powers that hunts and preys on just about anything that gets in her path really, anything that can satisfy her hunger and hunter instincts at the moment.
Cary hunts for a few reasons, hunger being the first and most obvious one. The challenge of it being another, and lastly to satisfy her more carnal hungers. Always the aggressor, the predator, she doesn't take being the prey very well and will put up a very challenging fight for anything that attempts to make her their prey, in any sense of the word.

Dire Machines and the Imperium
Posted 9 years agoSo after a while of pondering, and asking the artist Ratbat, i've decided to introduce Dire Machines into the imperium's repertoire of just weird things they have. You can find the main information on them here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21095322/ , http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21095310/ , http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21095283/ and if ya like his stuff, follow him, good ideas, lewd ideas~
The Mol'Toks
Posted 9 years agoSo we have http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21778089/ here and now time to fill in on the story behind the Mol'Toks aka the Sporks!
The Mol'Toks were a nomadic and tribal people, then one day the Greys ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16900849/ ) came along and decided to uplift the warrior like people for use as shock troopers in their archive. This worked with a smashing success for a very short time, as the Greys soon discovered that the Mol'Toks were extremely fertile, to the point they could release their seed into dirt and more Mol'Toks sprout up.
See, with each Mol'Tok orgasm they release not only a powerful and potent nutrient rich protein substance, but a little tadpole, basically a oversized sperm cell, that grows off the protein substance and the nutrients of it's surroundings. The Greys discovery of this had some issues, as the Mol'Tok's pack mentality was a problem, 'new born' mol'toks grew rapidly and quickly challenged the older ones, the ones 'uplifted' by the greys, and caused issues, more so when the grey's returned to pick up their troops, only to encounter a horde that overwhelmed their ships and took to the stars.
The Grey's quickly learned, starting to...castrate their captive Mol'Toks, but still the issue remains, the Mol'Toks have ships, they have technology, and it works for them, even if they don't know how to operate it. Mol'Toks are interesting species, they have an ability, a sort of psychic bubble around them that allows them to, well, simply put, use anything, no matter how complicated or guarded by what ever high tech means, they simply touch it, press a button, and it just works. Allowing the Mol'Toks to "psychically hack" any technology they come across and use it as their own, so long they believe they can get it to work.
Their culture has not changed much since their uplifting, still nomadic, traveling around and 'seeding' places to make more of them, make them stronger as a whole as new planets provide their offspring with new strength. New born Mol'Tok's are beaten when they can stand upright, the beating breaks the skin, bones, damages internal organs, and then they allow them to heal, recover, and grow stronger. This eventually becomes weekly for the tribe as a whole, beating on each other so they can grow stronger.
Every Mol'Tok Pack has an alpha, the head, the big honcho, the biggest and strongest of the pack, he decides where to go and what to do. There is nothing that really sets alpha's apart, aside from their size and obvious leader role in the group. Occasionally a challenger approaches, and then it's a clash of their psychic bubbles, who ever believes they will win the strongest, will win.
So the Mol'Tok's now have ships and can go from world to world, they have been uplifted to know that there is interplanetary, interstellar travel, their psychic hacking will allow them to hijack other ships, perhaps build their own even. They have a massive reproductive ability, and on top of all of that...they are towering beasts of muscle and armored hide as well as redundant organs and a powerful regeneration/adaptation ability. What ever doesn't kill a Mol'tok makes them stronger, and with their regeneration, strong armored hide, and redundant organs make the mol'tok's very, very, hard to kill.

The Phaedra!
Posted 9 years agoWith the recent addition of http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21571274/ I'd like to explain just who/what the phaedra are. In simple terms, hive minded alien elves, but to expand on that idea they are a monogendered species that evolved into a hive minded species.
The Phaedra originate from the Phaethon Galaxy, these are not names they gave themselves by names given to them by the Terran Imperium( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7830410/ ) whom have encountered the species on the edges of the galaxy and managed to trace their...tendril of ships back to the Phaethon galaxy.
The Phaedra's origins are known only to them, they were once a primitive species, their home world had a network of plantlife, allowing creatures to, via a tendril on the back of their heads, plug into the plants and be connected to one another. The Phaedra used this ability to not just feel what other creatures connected to the network felt, but they plugged directly into the other creatures and made them obey.
From that point the Phaedra quickly rose to be the top species of the planet, their will was stronger than the other beasts and so they put them to work, breeding them for food, using them for agriculture, ect. The Phaedra were free to develop themselves as a culture, developing a language and technology, they started to explore the mysteries of who and what they are, what their world is, and with the plant network they were able to communicate ideas over vast distances, very quickly, and the Phaedra were able to grow intelligent very, very, quickly.
The Phaedra's civilization advanced rapidly, as did their numbers and their technology advanced as well as the Phaedra's psionic abilities blossomed and they realized that anything that could 'plug' into the 'network', even the network itself, could be psionically manipulated and they created organic technology by manipulating the lesser creatures and rather literally turning them into tools, organic, living, tools.
From there the Phaedra just skyrocketed, learning to grow the network plants, learning how to have them psionically link and from there linking themselves psionically to them, no longer needing to physically plug in. Broods soon developed after that, those that 'lost themselves' to the hivemind became drones, simple thinking and obedient, loyal to their Hive Mother. The warriors were those naturally predesposed to aggressive tendencies, the former hunters became the proud warriors. And finally their former shamans, healers, builders became the Scions, those with the most psionic potency and are capable of not only healing fellow Phaedra but are capable of crafting their tools/weapons,
As time progressed, the Phaedra took more control over themselves and the Hives came forth at the same time the Phaedra were expanding to other worlds. Hive Mother's took more control over their hives, becoming the sole breeders for their hives and using gene pods to make sure the newly born young grow into what is needed for the hive. Thus, each Hive is different, some put more focus on the scions, others drones, so forth and so on, but they all have the same goal, Grow, Evolve, Survive.
The Phaedra are high and mighty creatures, powerful and intelligent predators that ruled and commanded their home world and soon their home galaxy, turning lesser creatures into their tools, they believe themselves to be the pinnacle of evolution and that everything else is fodder for them to evolve themselves. They conquer worlds and consume them, using the newly acquired genetic material to further evolve themselves, making new and/or better strains of their various broods as well as allowing them to create more of their tool creatures.

The Imperium
Posted 9 years agoYeah it's called the imperium, I couldn't think up a better name and this seems to work good for now. Anyway, onwards to information time.
First off, Setting! Where is the Imperium located in terms of setting you may ask, well it's a post modern fantasy setting, think something akin to the Marvel Universe. A nice mixture of some higher end tech and very mild space travel but no open colonization of other worlds and the like, and of course a nice bundle of magical elements as well, such as other realms, daemons, ect.
Onwards to the story.
The Imperium's roots are traced towards Africa during the cold war era, former soviet russian military commanders unsatisfied with the corruption and along side with germans fleeing persecution for doing work under the nazi's. These associates met in their travels, joined forces, along the way they raided various former and forgotten nazi labs for resources, one such lab housed an otherworldly being, one whom was very grateful for her release.
The reason behind the unification of the russian's and germans was their groups rather unique makeup, they were mostly hermaphrodites, they used this common trait among them to bond, starting forming ideals for their group to follow, adopting traits from one anothers former association, and it was from this adopting of traits that they released the alien from her captivity, and in return she offered the group the knowledge and means to set forth their own group to have it grow and prosper.
In their travels they found themselves in africa, using the thick jungles as their initial base of operations. Soon after their arrival, and starting to create their base in the underground of africa, they stumble across ruins of a long forgotten roman city, one that had tried to take up root in africa, some writings found showed that the city was built by a boat of soldiers that had lost their way and crashed, using the local tribes as slave labor to build the city and leave their mark, the mark of their empire. Now the group had no name yet, and with these bones of this empire they decided to restructure themselves into an empire, an Imperium.
So they grow in secret, keeping themselves hidden by building underground, expanding slowly and taking in the local tribes as migrants, indoctrinating them into the Imperium. As the Imperium creates a baseline, separating the migrants from citizens, the migrants of the imperium are to be given housing, food, water, recreational entertainment(internet/cable), education, all the things necessary for an enjoyable life, and Imperium citizen's are given the same things just a more luxurious version of such, namely referring to housing and food and their recreationational tools(Citizens have bigger pools, houses, fancier food.) as well as modes of transporation, migrant's have public transport and citizen's have personal vehicles.
The difference between mirgants and citizens is fairly simple, only Hermaphrodites can be citizens of the Imperium, other genders are migrants. Now those who wish to join willingly are given the choice to be converted, the Imperium's advanced technology allowing them to do so and create fully fertile, and virile, hermaphrodites with minimum effort, allowing non herms to convert into them and be full citizens. Migrant's taken by force have to prove their loyalty before being given the option, though the life of a Migrant is still a very comfortable one, compared to most out in the world.
The Imperium is structured in a "three heads" system, a head of the military, the people, and the infastructure, they are elected and voted by the citizens of the imperium but that doesn't leave the migrant's completely out of the loop as there are citizens to govern over the migrants and these governors take in votes from the migrants and cast their votes for whom the migrants voted for. Now this system that is in place has the heads in their term for four years, with no limit on how many times they may serve, so long the people vote for them they can serve.
This baseline of how they treat their migrants helped inspire people to join the imperium willingly later on once their presence is known to the world, which took some years. The Imperium grew into strength in secret as the rest of the world matured as well, though with their alien friend the Imperium grew in strength, advanced technology at their disposal, a government system created to be resistant to corruption, sizable and well trained army, they were in a position of strength and announced themselves to the world, a simple statement of their intentions, "We are here to conquer, either through peaceful of aggressive means, we prefer peaceful."
And that is where we are.

The Lithid
Posted 10 years agoSome species info for the Lithid
The Lithid are a highly advanced species, they are advanced mainly due to their ability to warp and feed on the minds of other species, sentient or not. The Lithid's mind warping abilities are known to be so potent that they can turn a simple minded feral beast into a fully sentient minded creature, but the Lithid's always make sure to twist and warp their prey's memories so they are subservient to them.
As to how the Lithid's do this, the tentacles that hang off their face have nerves connecting to their mind, at the end of these tentacles the nerves can send out pulses so powerful they disrupt the neural impulses in other organic minds. This also allows them to read the minds of their prey and learn what they know, as well as then twisting what they know and turning them into loyal servants. The Lithid mental manipulation is so absolute the only thing that can reverse what was done is the Lithid that did it.
There are few things that can resist the Lithid's mental assault, even other Lithid's are not completely immune to it. There is no way to be completely immune to their mental abilities, anything that has memories, that has a mind or knowledge, can be affected and warped into a Lithid minion. While through sheer will one can resist, the Lithid's can keep up their assault for an indefinite amount of time and with their immense strength they can outlast most anything, as most any other species requires sleep at some point where as the Lithid's can do so while still concious, able to rest a certain portion of their mind and swap back and forth.
Also, Lithid's are able to out right take knowledge, or copy it, from their prey. They can also transfer information as well, allowing a single lithid to go out, gather information and then return to have it then copied and given to the other lithids. On top of that all Newborn lithids have the combined knowledge of their Mother and Father.
Further more, the Lithid's are Eyeless creatures, they "see" through various forms of echo location, smell, as well as sensing the electrical pulses from nearby brains. They are also able to latch into the mind of another creature when they are mind-jacking them, and can see through their eyes. Some Lithid are known to keep a preserved decapitated head around so they can "plug" into it and see as most other creatures can.
Lithids are a purely hermaphroditic species to the point where they only need one set of genitals. The Lithid's reproductive organs are two shafts with four testicles, despite the male appearance of the shafts they also function as the Lithid's vagina, with the testicles also serving as ovaries, making their genitals hermaphroditic as well. On top of that, their shafts are prehensile.
As for Lithid Reproduction, they make use of their mind warping abilities, which involve them stuffing their tendril's into their preys ears, combined with their pure physical strength to subdue prey and breed with it. They reproduce via laying eggs inside of hosts, and warping the hosts mind so they are docile and rather simple minded to the point of just taking care of the lithid offspring. How ever the Lithid are also fully capable of reproducing with one another, which involves one lithid implanting it's eggs into the other's testicle sack until it matures and it births the eggs, but the Lithid Queens have an alternative pouch, located in the rectum, to store the eggs until ready to birth them, sometimes even to the point of the eggs hatching.
Now there are 2 lithid races, The Queens and the Grunts. The Queens are ten feet in height on average, but are known to reach upwards of fifteen, highly intelligent but also very beastial. By their very nature the Queens are the predators of the species, stronger, faster, and more intelligent than the Lithid Grunts. Queens possess four arms, allowing them to completely subdue most any prey for their mind warping, breeding, or both. The Lithid Grunts range in height of six to eight feet in height and while not even close to matching the Queens in any area, they are still superior to most other species.
Combine this with the Lithid species having a secondary set of organs they make for a difficult to kill species. Should a Lithid have a lung punctured, the secondary lung kicks in as the first one recovers. This goes for all of their internal organs, even their brains, and the species is capable of regenerating entire limbs if given enough time, roughly a week to fully regrow a limb without any assistance.
And a bit on their culture
Lithids do have a culture, one they put together by learning from other species and continue to advance and change as they learn new things from other species or through their own experiences. The Lithid's culture revolves around the Queens primarily, as they are the most intelligent and strongest, as well as the most virile breeders, of the Lithid species.
The Grunts serve as the messengers, going out to other species to relay commands and the like from their Queens and in times of conflict they are mainly used for recon, spying, and similar jobs, the Queens make up the majority of combat roles due to size and strength with the grunts being the supporting roles.
All through the Lithid's history the Grunt race only attempted one "uprising" and failed simply due to the Queen's strength. The Grunts out number the Queens, but the Queens are so vastly stronger, both physically and with their mental manipulation, they subdued the Grunts in under a few months.
The Queens are known to be ruthless, dominant, intimidating, and out right predatory. The Grunts are predatory as well, though more cunning, preferring to simply out last their prey or trick them into a suitable position to pounce upon their prey. There is a social structure, with the Queens set above the Grunts, and their Servants are at the bottom.
There is even a high born caste of Queens, known as the Council, whom are the final word in any matter that is important or wide spread enough to reach their attention. And above the Council is Lillith, the Empress. Lillith was the first Queen to gain sentience, and the first to start puting the other Queens in line when they were more beastial, bringing them from their feral nature to their role as intelligent predators.
Despite her age, Lillith is still the superior Lithid Queen, so much to the point she is her own race of Lithid, Empress. Thus far there has been no other Empress Lithid, even though Lillith has spawned many children. Thus leading the Lithid to suspect amongst themselves that a new one will only appear when the current one is no longer fit or that there will always only ever be one Empress, Lillith, and that she shall be immortal and only die when the species is to die.

A notice about using Art I have
Posted 10 years agoI stumbled across this...once. Someone using artwork I had commissioned, but only once. Someone told me about this person and when I approached them, they were rather surprised I was fine with it, so I figured I should put something here. Considering some of these images I have aren't getting much of any attention, anyone watching me or reading this is welcome to make use of any of the images in my gallery, so long they don't go around saying "I PAID FIR DIS ARTS, IT MAH ARTS" or anything like that, just say you found it here and move on.
Harley's Story, New Chapter
Posted 11 years agoOne thing you have to ask yourself about a character you have created is how far will they go? What is their "Point of no return" if you will, that line they will never cross for fear of becoming a "monster"? Where do they draw the line on what they will and wont do for revenge, love, what ever have you. For my character, Harley, she has crossed that line, and this lil tidbit will be showing now just how far she will go, and how easily she does so.
Point of no Return
Once you cross a certain point, there is no returning to how you were before it. For me, that line was while I was first held captive for centuries by humans. I had helped them, If not for me humanity would have died, but those in power didn't care. They saw that they had a new weapon, something to use to conquer the galaxy. Eventually I did escape the facility though, I dealt with the scientists there and went after the one in charge. The one person who was in charge of it all, who was profiting from my suffering.
I was in a mood. Nothing was going to stop me. I found them, Another thought shattered as I discovered it was a woman, surprise surprise. I was starting to learn a lot about humanity during my long life. No one is immune to being evil, being knowingly cruel. I studied her, she knew who I was, what I had done, remarked on it and even said that was the reason behind everything she had done to me. This woman was gifted with long life, after studying the regeneration from me, and then destroyed all research related too it.
So this woman has been alive the whole time I was in captivity, reviewing the films of my torture, even going there in person and conducting some of it herself, mainly weapons testing, knowing completely what I had done for humanity, she was one of the former generals I even helped. Yet she let greed for power take over. I struck the first blow to her company. Cutting the roots, her connections to other businesses, corporate sabotage and even stopping her government funding, making sure there was no way for her to get out as her corporation crumbles on top of her.
Now left with no corporation, no power, no money, still having the love of her life and her children. But even with her corporation gone, a comfy but stressful life, and loving wife. Until the videos arrived. Oh the videos. Recordings of her orders, of her over seeing not just cruel experimentation on me, but other humans, other people, animals, ect. She had done this over the centuries of life she had because of me. The wife was not happy finding these, let alone her children watching them and left her.
Left barely scraping by, mocked and reminded of her failure every day for a year or so, her company failing was a rather big deal. I was not content with the wife just saying "fuck you I'm leaving with the kids." No no, corporate bitch still loved her, still...visited on occasion because of the kids. Then one day, just before she was about to go visit after they were to return from vacation, another video. She sat and watched it.
I had taken the wife and kids, had them watch the videos, the records, of her cruelty. I said nothing and just let it sink in and listened as she called out, cursing and forsaking her wife, telling the children what a cruel monster she was. And then it started. First one child, then the other, both tortured, broken, left gasping for air. All while the mother watched, and while corporate bitch watched as well, transfixed and mildly hypnotized and unable to look away. The mother screaming, cursing and forsaking the former lover, blaring that it's all her fault before I turned to her and did the same. And then the video ended.
She attempted to take her life. It didn't work, mysteriously. More attempts were made, constantly trying to kill herself. But what she had done to herself? Her regeneration? It let me in. I was in her. I kept her alive. She would not die as long as I willed it. I let her suffer, reminding her day after day, torturing her with pain on other days, reminding her of what she had, how it had been degraded, how she had destroyed it with her actions, and then one day I simply left. She was broken, left to rot in her prison of a mind.
If anyone ends on my shit list, I do not fuck around. I go for friends and family, even your pets. You will watch them all suffer, hear them beg, and hear them curse your very existence as they learn the truth of what you have done. You will be exposed as a monster, you will be left with no one, with nothing and you will be reminded of it. It will haunt you constantly, their screams, their hateful words, and you will be left to suffer through them until the day you die, and I will personally make sure you live as long as possible.
Everyone has a point of no return, and once you cross over it...it just seems so easy. That point, the moral line you've drawn for how far you will not go, once you cross it, those actions and even the ones further beyond it are so easy to do. I've already passed mine, I have no regrets about making your family suffer for your actions. No guilt, no suffering of my own. Do I feel...justified? No. But I will do anything and everything to make someone suffer, I torture and kill children if I have too, if the option presents itself, what ever will sink that knife deeper so when I twist it...you're left howling in pain. No problems doing it. I will murder your children, I will twist your life, dragging you to the pits and bleeding you slowly, yet never letting death take you until I let it. You. Will. Suffer.

Need a picture colored?
Posted 11 years agoSo if you're like me, sometimes you just don't have the money to get a picture colored right away so you get the lineart, or a sketch. Well,
fazzer12 does a fantastic job of coloring those images, so hit him up if you need something colored folks, I think he prefers payment with money, or nookie maybe, but stick with money.

Story and Idea time!
Posted 11 years agoBeen a while, so I figured I'd pop down some new tid bits of information rolling around in my head. Three topics! The Xen Virus, Empress Hixlysss and the Tron Universe, and Hixlysss encounters the Force!
First up, The Xen Virus aka Xeno Plague, is a mostly a parasitic organism, but it's the size of a cell so it falls under the virus category due to size alone. It was originally developed by Empress Hixlysss as a bioweapon with the intent of converting entire worlds ecosystems to that of a xenomorph nature. It was used on some occasions, and due to her dimension hopping abilities was used on earth more than a few times during her "Kill humanity" phase of existence.
What the virus does is it infects a person and spreads through their cells, destroying the cells in the process and making more of itself but each new version is adapted to fit the role of the cell it destroyed. Similar to how xenomorphs take on traits of their hosts the virus does the same. This is usually a week long process, converting the person from point of infection outwards.
The end result of the infection is the person is a hybridized entity, much like Hixlysss was originally( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12013602/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11901358/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11475728/ ) before she fully evolved out of her humanity.
The newly created hybrid does have benefits, increased mental abilities, telepathy, connection to the hive mind, acid blood, the standard affair of enhanced senses as well. Perhaps the biggest benefit is the personal hive mind, all of the Xenomorph hybrids have a hive mind consisted of themselves, their entire body, every cell is a seperate copy of their consciousness, and over time each one can develop different views, but all work together, all connected to make up the hivemind that is the person's consciousness, this allows for much more complex thinking than before, and makes mind control over them much more difficult.
Next up! Empress Hixlysss and the Grid Sidestory! Inspired by this lovely image by Todex for drxeno: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12896012/
Yes yes, dimension hopping and all that fun stuff means she has bumped into everything you can ever think of, even a complete universe that functions like the tron one. So what did Empress Hixlysss do there? Everything! Well mostly exploring the limitations of what she could do, and how to do it. After all it was her directly interacting with a program.
It did take her some time to get a grasp of everything, a month or so, and then she set out to enjoy herself. Creating worlds, altering them, and of course bringing her beloved brood to the universe. After all there were worlds separated from one another, the void between them required bridges or tunnels to be built for travel, so her brood were isolated for some time before being found. But for the most part, she simply traveled around, exploring, encountering all sorts of programs, viruses, ect.
Another sidestory! This time Hixlysss ends up in the Starwars Universe~ Toyed around with this one, and it's one of the longer ones.
Harley arrived as she often does, in her chitin pod through the dimensional tunnel she dug from the last place she was at. Her pod should have crashed on a planet, but instead ended up actually being caught and brought onto a ship. Needless to say her old hatred of being an experiment flared up, and she took the droids poking at her none too kindly, and she quickly discovered that her normal telepathic abilities were functioning...differently.
It took her a moment, after snapping a droid in half, to realize that she was putting out a bit more power than usual, and then she facepalmed and realized where she was, and what was going on. She now had force powers, and had just pissed off a pirate ship that was planning on selling her off. Let's just say she tapped into her primal xenomorph roots and enjoyed herself for a while, before sending the ship crashing into the pirate's home base as she leaves in a shuttle.
So after that she spent time figuring out how to make use of these new powers, getting a grasp on them so she doesn't accidentally snap anything in two and the like, while also working as a bounty hunter. After all there is a lot of fancy tech she can use, and she gathered up as much as she could and put it to good use.
So she makes a name for herself as a bounty hunter, word gets out of her force powers after a couple run ins with sith and jedi alike, so now either side is trying to recruit her, or destroy her. And of course the first time she gets hit by a lightsaber she has to do a mental readjustment, normally her acid blood deals with most weapons, few resist it or it splatters around to damage other things, lightsabers don't do much splatter damage and it took a few blows before her chitin was able to harden enough to not get cut through like butter and even allow her to block.
Short version, she has a collection of lightsaber trophies from jedi and sith alike whom mistook her for one or the other side due to her...less than gentle and affectionate ways, or because she has a jedi/sith lightsaber or two hanging off her hip. Fun times abound indeed!
Though eventually it got boring. Bounty hunting was fun, but the interruptions from Jedi and Sith alike was becoming aggravating, so she decided to take up the trade. She didn't join either side, but did find herself a nice pupil to take under her wing and train how to use the force, how to survive and how to make a living, all without being consumed by the dark side, or blinded by the light side.

Harley's Story [Original]
Posted 12 years agoSo, the story I put up for Harley's, my Sona, background is here http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5001182/ and a remake of the original story I had for her based upon the information from Prometheus, and I just went wild with it.
The original story has a much shorter timeline than the remake which is why I've stuck with it for a while, but I felt like writing down the original story for a sorta "alternate telling" of it and such. Complete with items and abilities she has gained~
Hello, names Harley Davidson and this is My story.
Let's start from where my old life ended, December 21, 2012 was a crazy crazy day. Everyone expecting the world to end, riots breaking out and looters. Me? I didn't give a flying fuck but anyway I'm what I like to call a "Super Apathetic" meaning I really just do not give a fuck about a lot of things.
So when some guy comes up to me asking for my money with a gun to my head I tell him to fuck off. After I tell him off I have a gun against my forehead and I decide to headbutt it, well crazy guy pulls the trigger and bullet goes straight down the middle of my brain. Lucky me it only puts me in a coma because someone up stair's likes me I suppose.
So now I'm in a coma and time goes by and medical technology advances to the point of cryogenic stasis which I was put into. Further down the road by a few decades chemical warfare breaks out, sorta, a virus created by PETA to bring "Equal Rights to all animals" and brings about anthropomorphs.
Fast forward a few decades from that a war breaks out between Human's and Anthro's, guess who wins? The anthro's. So me, a human in cryo, is subjected to military experimentation, mostly being a test "pilot" for nanobots. Various other cybernetic experiments and such, mostly putting a mini computer in my brain with wi-fi everywhere.
And now jump a couple more decades and my brain decides to turn itself back on and a few things have changes, well A lot of things have changed. I wake up, get let out, and I'm explained everything that happened. The virus, the war, human experimentation, and the latest bit was the law that requires humans whom were subjected to such experiments would get a nice cushy life. It is the year 2348.
By Cushy it means a little above middle class. So here I am, a house, a car, no worries about bills. I have to see a shrink once a week though, make sure I don't go crazy from being in cryo so long and walking around seeing anthro's and I see a military doctor about twice a week to make sure my nanobots aren't trying to turn me into soup.
Ah, before I forget, the ermn nanobots are rather unique in my case. From what I was told they were supposed to have a limited battery life of about 24 hours then die off, Mine didn't seem to want to die and sorta kept themselves functional with the electrical impulses in my brain and later adapted and combined themselves with cells to replace their need for a battery.
So I'm under military observation because my nanobots allow me to manipulate my body in various ways. Well they already did some manipulation while I was in cryo, giving me a rather nice body. On top of that the nanobots also sorta control the virus in my system, allowing me to switch between human and anthromorph, and to top that off I subconciously wanted to be a hermaphrodite so I can do that too.
Journal Update #1
So after a few months of getting settled in and used to everything my Nanobots have calmed down and my subconcious finally made a choice. I'm now 100% Hermaphrodite and my anthromorphic form is gone due to being replaced by my strong desire to be a xenomorph, though to be honest I look more like Sil from Species but I'm working on that. On top of those discoveries I have found out that the nanobots just keep repairing everything so I no longer physically age, Oh joy of joys...*Sarcasm*.
Abilities as of this time:
Rapid Regeneration, What would take months takes weeks, ect.
Highly enhanced senses, I.E. hearing a heartbeat through a wall 10 feet away.
Aura Vision, A traditional xenomorph ability which allows Harley to see the electro magnetic field generated by most living things; even through walls.
Pheromones, given her desires at the moment Harley's nanobots program the pheromones to enduce a desired state in whom ever breaths them in such as Calm, Frenzied, ect. Effective range of 7 feet, duration varies.
Acidic Blood, Immunity to disease/poisons when combined with nanobots and encourages others not to bite or fight in melee range.
Exoskeleton, A Highly adaptable chitinous skin, able to resist any environment and with use of nanobots can gain immunity to previously inflicted injuries, I.E. Bullet pierces shell, second bullet doesn't.
Nanobots, The source of all of Harley's abilities are the little nanobots in her system which originally manipulated her body based on her subconscious desires and later adapted to responde to conscious commands as well. The machine's are highly adaptable and allow Harley a multitude of abilities ranging from rapid learning, hacking, and storing massive amounts of knowledge to be used later as well as remote control or manipulation of other people for a short duration.
Journal Update #2(Intro into Fantasy Settings.)
So it is new years for the year 2400, some special alignment of the planets and stars, yadda yadda. Being the uncaring person I am I went for a walk and ended up in a forest, then I spotted a Jackalope. It took me two looks to notice it was real and I chased it down, I mean how often do you get to catch a bunny with antlers huh? Yeah, lil fucker ran into a cave I follow like an idiot and end up in some long forgotten cult worshipping cave or something and a storm is kicking up outside so I skulk around for the jackalope trying to find it and get back home.
It just happened to be my luck I catch the jackalope and fall flat on my ass on some pedestal trying to retain the fuckin' thing and then "BOOM!" Thunder cracks loud, cave shakes, flash of light and I stumble forth in the forest half awake. I wander and get ambushed by bandits of all things, I call em bandits cause...well they had swords, bows and arrows. Lucky me i'm in human form as they tie me up and start to figure out what to do with me, at this time my chest is in pain and I decide to let loose as they start talking about selling me into slavery.
So I go full Xeno on them while my chest feels like i'm growing a new lung (Ha, close but no cigar) and a few throat slits they die. After this I wander off trying to get help, end up at a village who takes pitty on the wobbling creature I am and I pass out. 3 days later wake up in a church with a sword to my throat, at this point I'm just cranky so I bite the sword in half and the guard run's away. After that some hunched over wizard guy and what I can only assume is some form of royal guard walk in, poking me with questions while i'm sorta checking my internals out only to discover for some odd ass reason I have a second heart.
Anyway after all is said and done and the "investigation" clears me of being a demon I'm to be escorted to the Imperial castle to be closely watched, along the way there how ever a different series of events takes me on a much more interesting path. As I'm being escorted in chains by guards we come across a caravan on a peace mission, looking to gain aid from nearby kingdoms due to some massive army gathering across the ocean to enslave everyone. Then bandits attack, with bombs.
In the chaos I get free and join in the killing! Because I really needed to work off some stress. But in the whole mess the negotiator girl ends up dead and being the nice gal I am I decide to take up their mission. I sort through everything, the last couple of guards left don't really argue about continuing the treaty mission, and I'm now on the long journey to gather as many kingdoms to fight back against these enslaving demons or what ever is going on. I mean hell, it's either this or I stay locked up in a castle waiting for the invasion, what is the fun in that?
Abilities\Items as of this time, After Fantasy, Before Sci-fi:
Item, Hammer of Creation: The Dwarves Harley encountered told stories of their lost treasures and one of them was the Hammer of Creation which can take an image in the wielders mind and make it reality with a strike of the hammer on a surface. The hammer is said to even be able to craft golems but it takes it's toll and leaves Harley drastically weakened where it would kill others.
Item, Gauntlet of Mutation: An item of Goblin make, the Gauntlet is similiar to the Hammer of Creation except the Gauntlet changes itself to suit the wearers weapon of choice but the Gauntlet has a drawback in that it is fueled by the blood of its wielder which would be fine for Harley but she can only regenerate blood so fast.
Item, Rings of Matrimony: A gift from an angel Harley encountered, these rings when placed properly can allow Harley and her lovers to experience each other over vast distances.
Ability, Vampirism: Normally immune to disease this strain was magically infused into Harley's blood by the god creator of the Vampire species of the time. Simply put Harley is a "Daywalker" vampire, immune to the standard vampire weaknesses. She can also drain blood from people with the use of her tail, combined with her nanobots she can take racial traits of other species and use or store them.
Ability, Darkness Essence: In a time of gods, magic, and demons along with War brewing to consume the world, It was no wonder that the ancient entity of shadows, death, and Chaos would manifest itself on Earth. Harley encountered this entity which during the encounter she absorbed some of its essence, its power. In doing so she got a few abilities to go with it, being able to infuse the essence into objects to manipulate them in various ways, Summong Tendrils/Familiars, and "teleporting" through shadows, but not much else.
Ability, Angelus Essence: The Angelus is the opposite of the Darkness, and in seeking to destroy the Darkness Harley encountered the Angelus and somehow managed to get some of that Essence as well. All the Angelus essence allows Harley to do is send bursts of pure 'light' energy, glide in the air, and create a shield out of the light energy.
Item, Bag of Holding: A magical bag that opens up to a pocket dimension and allows for near limitless storage, so long as an item fits in the bags opening it can be stored.
Journal Update #3(Intro into Sci-Fi/Sci-Fantasy)
I don't age, ever. Suicide stopped working a long time ago, My subconcious has a very strong desire to keep going on. What am I supposed to do with my free time?! The day is July 4th, 2632 and it has been roughly 130 years since I created the first successful Xenomorph. I had a simple goal...well two really. One was to create the Xenomorph species and the other was to join humanity into a hive mind with out sacrificing individuality. I had done both, the Xenomorphs were a test...Each one unique and had their own personality but Knowledge and experiences were shared constantly, the hive mind made them very intelligent.
The xenomorphs were sentient and while I did not want to be in a "Overlord" position they did respect the advice I gave them about handling humans. A few humans came over to the ideal of the hive mind, the anthro's were sort of staying out of the affair but welcomed the new species to earth with surprising open arms. Humans how ever...fear and hate everything that could change them and they had learned from their defeat by the anthro's.
So, back to the day, the 4th of July 2632, the start of a war and the end of my former life. A quarter of the human population had joined the hive mind I helped create, the rest feared their independence would be lost, they didn't have to join I wasn't forcing anyone too. But the humans lashed out, spurred on by old world pride of the 4th of July they attack the hives...My Hives...The only species I consider Kin, Nay the only people I considered brothers and sisters. But they knew of me...I made quite a name for myself in saying that human's should just fuckin' leave if they don't like it here, and they knew I created the Xenomorphs. They thought removing me would make it easier...I donno if that is the case but they knocked me out cold.
I don't know if they tried to kill me or not, either way I ended up in cryogenic stasis YET AGAIN and spend a couple THOUSAND years in suspended animation. I wake up on a ship, it's the year 4280 and humanity has spread to the stars...Colonies on many different worlds, various alien cultures encountered, and then there was me. This time I didn't even go out with a fight, just knocked out and stuck in a freezer, no "Pull the trigger bitch!" moment either.
Anyway...I was apparently just...blasted into space and forgotten about until a salvage ship found me stuck on an asteroid, they wake me up and...well Here I am. On a ship with the only plan of action is to bum around space, get drunk and do random shit. Awesome.
Abilities\Items as of this time:
Ability, Upgraded Nanobots: After a long time exposed to magical elements the Nanobots themselves have adapted to use and manipulate such things, allowing for full integration of previous mystical abilities and the combination of such abilities. The Nanobots are now capable of permanent residence in other organics unlike before where they died after a few hours as well as wireless manipulation of most technology.
Ability, Hivemind: The nanobots in Harley's body give her a sort of internal hivemind which she can expand on to others which can expand over a yet unknown distance. This Hivemind allows her to share and aquire knowledge in vast amounts.
Ability, Empress: When enraged or the situation calls for it Harley's nanobots go into overdrive and kick on basically all of her abilities at once combining them. While combined the abilities are not as powerful as when used alone, but their combinations make up for it. In this state she changes shape into a more xenomorph like figure much like a Queen and boasting powerful psychic abilities.
Ability, Impregnation: Having made herself more like a xenomorph she is able to Impregnate other species, literally any species, with one of their own spawn or a xenomorph.
Ability, Nanobot Infection: Considering the upgrades to her nanobots Harley can now permanently put her nanobots into another organic, this allows her to "infect" them with some of her own abilities or out right change them completely though it is mostly just physical changes. While her more potent abilities, such as the Angelus, Darkness, and Vampiris, can only be given in fractions of the power she wields. This also allows her to mind control others or connect them to her "Hivemind." This can either be temporary or permanent.
The original story has a much shorter timeline than the remake which is why I've stuck with it for a while, but I felt like writing down the original story for a sorta "alternate telling" of it and such. Complete with items and abilities she has gained~

Perverted Dungeon Crawling RP!
Posted 12 years agoSo, I'm bored and I've had this idea for a while now and attempted it in the past and enjoyed it. A perverted dungeon crawling RP, which is simply that, I'll play the GM, and someone will RP through a dungeon and encounters various creatures to combat. It's sorta like CoC in that you can fight them and fuck them, ect.
It's all for fun, so no real "combat" is involved, so no T1 stuff, cause I have no idea how that stuff works. Anyway~ I'm looking for people interested in doing such a RP, Either Fantasy or Sci-fi setting, sci-fi preferred though. Comment here if interested~

Harley's Brood
Posted 12 years agoSomething of the original story for my Sona, Harley, is that she is a hybrid of Human and Xenomorph due to the alien parasite that attached and fused into her body. Later on Harley bred and created more of the Xenomorph species, but...modified. Ch'Hklyxsss is one such example, fused with a Yautja, of how her species is to be.
This brood of Xenomorph is highly adaptable, able to grow technology where needed, such as the Acid Sprayer on Ch'Hklyxsss shoulder or the wrist whips that extend from her arms. They are created with being able to survive in practically any enviroment, fend of any attacker, and breed with any species which also allows them to adapt to survive and fend off any attacker.
Ch'Hklyxsss is a hunter as well, taking the traits of the Yautja species as well as developing herself to mimic their technology. She hunts for worthy pre, those deemed "worthy" are captured and bred with, willingly or not, to add more to the brood. Ch'Hklyxsss is a queen as well, designed to be independent of Harley, but subservient to her, being a queen allows her to rapidly breed and in larger amounts than others of Harley's particular brood of Xenomorph.

Harley's Hammerpedes
Posted 12 years agoAs seen in a couple images, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11710400/ , http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11761846/ , http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11763599/ I have a hammerpede type creature design. Inspired by the Hammerpede from Prometheus, this one serves a function closer to a Facehugger, but closer to this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11724259/ in terms of what it will actually do~
Anyway, in Harley's story the thing that Changes him into a hermaphrodite was a cylinder, much like the Prometheus one, which mutated and changed Harley into what she is now. Later Harley created these Hammerpedes, to do a similar process as well as breeding Xenomorphs should they find a suitable host.
Normally when a Hammerpede finds it's prey, it will paralyze it and then either impregnate them with a embryo, or drain them of genetic material to create a suitable embryo and pass it on to another, or the same, host. In rare cases should the Hammerpede find a special being, they will inject the same mutagen that altered Harley into them, thus they undergo the same process of conversion and become a hybrid of their species and Xenomorph, much like Harley.
However should there be no suitable hosts nearby a Hammerpede is capable of impregnating itself and laying eggs, much like Queen Xenomorph, to hatch more Hammerpede's and create a mini hive to survive and branch out to insure finding prey to capture and breed with.

Wereherms!
Posted 12 years agoSo I made a journal entry some time ago bout Dickpires, something I thought up after reading a 3 page lil comic strip. You can find the entry here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5088635/
But I got to thinking and in every story I've known to have Vampires they have Werewolves whom are often the vampire's rival due to some reason or another, the one I've enjoyed is where the werewolves were the vampire's slaves, intended to be their guard dogs.
Anyway~ I'll go on to explain the Wereherms! But keep in mind this is a general idea, i'm still planning to refine it some more and add in details and such.
Wereherms are, simply put, a product of the Dickpire's need for herms to breed. So they created a disease like their own, transmitted through a bite and will alter a person's body, and would be immune to the Dickpire disease. Though it doesn't stop a dickpire from claiming a wereherm as their servant if they are powerful enough, or if the wereherm is weak enough.
Those infected are forced to change during a full moon and in general are much more savage at those times. Later generations can control themselves but still are forced to change during a full moon while also being able to turn any time they please. When they change, they will shift from what ever their normal body is, weither it be male, female, herm, human, or anthro, and become a Lycanthrope herm. Meaning a normal male human will change into a Werewolf Herm, or a Werefox, wererat, ect, but always a herm and fertile to be bred.
Originally they were created to keep a constant source of herms for the Dickpire's to use for breeding, and they did that very well how ever to make them more controllable they had to be made more primal, which involved mixing in animal genes into the virus.
It was a roulette wheel at first when infecting people with the virus, they would become a random animal spliced into the virus but eventually it would become more stable and what ever breed of wereherm bit you, be it canine, feline, bird, fish, you would become a wereherm of that breed.
Wereherms when changed take on their animal appearance and become rather large in size. Otherwise they appear as a normal human or anthropomorph. The size increase was a result of needing strong bodies to carry the offspring as a single wereherm was intended to birth several over a short amount of time.
The first several generations were primal, lacking in intelligence and were just giant pets to the dickpires. But they started becoming smarter, learning and teaching eachother how to survive. Dickpires still outnumbered them 50 to 1, but wereherms are bigger and stronger with powerful regenerative abilities combined with their species natural abilities.
So it was no surprise when they rebelled and escaped into the wild. Some were caught, some were killed, but their rebellion and escape started a war. Over the next centuries Wereherms were caught and captured and returned to their "rightful" place, though not every dickpire was that cruel and some took them in as pets or mates, as the wereherms were bred to serve them so some simply desired to serve.
TL;DR? Wereherms were created to make more herms for Dickpires to breed with, to make them controllable they were spliced with animal DNA to make them more fearful and less intelligent. Over time they rebelled, got free, and now live amongst the general populous and even among the dickpires.
