So, my alter-ego on my webcomic is a demonic being whose evolved form resembles a bat.

And my fursona is a dorky, buff cybernetic raccoon.

And then there's Anubis.

Anubis wants to fight, mostly because I want to fight (but I know I can't fight).

Don't get me wrong, I love video games. But, I guess having worked in the industry kind of leaves me in a state of jaded meh.

Anyway, applying for Fox Sports Interactive, Verizon Wireless Corporate, Toyota Corporate, and waiting word on a few other companies. Kind of want to go back to a sports-oriented job. I like knowing about things other than mixed martial arts and boxing. Most of the NFL stuff I knew is gone now, but meh again.

It's funny that Anubis wants a fight, but I don't wanna draw his sexiness fighting.

I still have to mail my DTD to my fursuiter. But, I'm also going to Las Vegas this weekend. And I've hurt my arm.

 temperance is making my fursuit. I was told to have final everything by August, so I did my DTD last night, and am working on final measurements and tattoo placements for Anubis. Which also means that Anubis gets tats on him next time he's drawn into the comic when he's not fighting. And since he's fighting right now, that won't happen anytime soon.

DTD making wasn't fun, and there are many pictures that I don't have yet.

I'll be vacuuming the living room and bedroom if you need me.

So, as dorky as Shiro is, obsessed with shinies and being half-shiny himself, other fighting furs seems to be afraid of his robotics most of the time. Sure, he can punch through a concrete wall and be totally fine, but he's such a silly fur, why would anyone be afraid of him?

He does like fighting, but he's still a silly butt.

Went to Comic Con.

Had awesome time, which included interview with BBC America and a photog session with the BBC proper. Didn't get much swag. Bought lots of comics. Had a filet mignon at the Fox Sport Grill. Didn't stick to my diet (it's hard when on vacation!). Was laid off on day zero. Skipped school when I came back.

Anyway, I'm not feeling the school vibe right now, but I think that falls off the shock of losing work. But, my head wasn't in it for what that company wanted. They expected 100% dedication to the product on and off the clock (which I wasn't willing to do...off the clock is me time), and for me to move my vacation to Comic Con. Couldn't do it. I had prepaid parking and hotel. I would stand to lose $1000 if I moved my vacation, and I'd miss Comic Con. Just couldn't do it.

I've got to go back to making sure that employers are aware of my upcoming vacations during interviews or within the first few days of hire, because I can't have these events that I prepay for hotel and such being force-canceled on my attendance part. Especially events that I might have to help run, where other people depend upon me.

I also feel that ten years of success, while not at the same height of income as others who have gotten their degrees sooner and also invested the work time, has somewhat proven that I don't need a degree to earn a feasibly nice income. I'm doing well as is, despite being a contractor for the better part of the last three years. I would like full-time employment, but I'd also like a supportive employer that is aware that I'm in school for the benefit of their productivity and not just to goof off. Even if it isn't directly related to my field, several of the knowledge and skills do transfer.

I'm off to code a game for my webcomic, draw several things, and finally get around to coloring updates. Fight scenes are hard to draw, dammit. No matter how much I LOVE drawing blood/bruises/cuts/etc.

Oh, and I have to pee.

And on a separate note, I've really been wanting to fight lately. Which is quite odd because between Kempo Karate and the boxing training, I don't have the skill to fight. Not even really spar. I can't shut-up my brain long enough to just react. I guess I just miss the training during the week since I'm still not in a viable financial/free time position to just have training on random days. I also hate group sessions.

Hey, if you're at San Diego Comic Con, I will be dressed as UNIT today for a Doctor Who meet-up in the Sails Pavilion at 2PM. Come see all the Doctors, the TARDIS, and several other Who-related cosplay! I won't have my sketchbook, so you'll have to supply if you want something.
