Posted 8 years agoSo, with my no longer doing fursuits fulltime because my other job has sunk in it's claws and claimed a piece of what small remainder I have of my soul... I have a weird question.
Would it make sense to just merge CrowsNest Creations (
crowsnest-creations) and this account and just post everything here instead of having two accounts? (This would mean for more activity on one account then minimal activity on two)
Do you prefer when the artist keeps all their work together or do you prefer separate?

Still alive, still kicking, way to quiet though.
I just finished attending Fur-Eh in Edmonton, AB and it was awesome!
I have lots to upload, lots to work on, and feeling pretty good about things.
My G-Shep puppy has been keeping me super busy in between working on things, but I guess there's no rest for the wicked ><!

A bit of a life update
Posted 8 years agoSo I've been gone for awhile. I know I have been. And it means alot to me that you're all still here.
I experienced a loss in my family that hit me pretty hard and fell into a pretty dark place, it caused me to retreat into myself and have to rethink how I managed my entire life as my main life line was gone.
BUT! On a less depressing note,
lucifur and I ended up adopting a puppy into our lives one week after the funeral and it's pulled me out of my funk and want to get back to work to provide him the best life I can.
So the ball is rolling and expect new things very soon.

At this point, I'm calling it a loss, have set up shop on other pages and will continue to post my work on this account on behalf of CrowsNest Creations.

I'm back!
Posted 9 years agoAll four paws on the ground and safely back home from Vancoufur! (I was going to check in earlier but was so tired when we landed and then work decided it needed all my time yesterday :/ )
Anyway, I had an absolute blast! I forced myself out of my shy quiet comfort zone, I went to parties, I talked to people, heck, I APPROACHED PEOPLE on my own! (I know this seems minimal but it's a big step for me).
Everyone was amazing, I had an amazing time, I want to go back next year.

Slow Down of Projects Notice

I know I'm not the fastest on the best of days, but with recent events, things have slowed down a little more.
For those of you who don't follow my Twitter or Facebook, you would have missed the news.
On Saturday, my sweet little hedgepig, Zerg, passed away suddenly. Not only was he a service animal for my own struggles, he was my best friend and my work buddy. It was hard for a few days to even step foot in the office space that we shared, but things are slowly getting back on track.
I appreciate everyones understanding and I hope to be back to full time creating very soon.

Posted 9 years agoSo I've just realized I've been MIA for a good long time and that's just as frustrating to me as it probably is to you.
I haven't skipped town, hopped the fence, and left forever. Things just got...busy.
Without going into to many details, I recently picked up a job and it's taking a bit to get used to that while I try to sort out all my current loose ends.
Thank you for the patience and I'm going to try to come on at least once a week.

I realized that I've been MIA for a little bit and wanted to just touch base with everyone here.
I was away on holiday for about two weeks, visiting my old stomping grounds which was my grandparents farm after I attended Edmonton Comic Expo. It was a much needed break and while the original intention was to only stay for a week, Thanksgiving (for us Canada folk) crept up and I decided to stay for an additional week to visit with my grandparents.
My work has taken a bit of a shift from the normal fuzzy wuzzies and I've been commissioned for a Lolita skirt and apron set which is taking a bit of time to ensure all the ruffles are where they need to be and so on and so forth. From there I will be moving into some fursuit bandanas as well as dice bags.
I'm looking to have an Etsy shop set up by the end of November to make my wares much more accessible to the public. At the same time, I am preparing stock to vend at Taste of Animethon in their artist alley come January.

Computer problems ;___;

A few of you have dealt with me whining about my computer running not as well as it could and some programs crashing a bunch...well... The inevitable has happened and I have finally experienced a hard drive failure across a few drives.
Never fear though, lucifur says he can fix it and I should be back soon. However, it will take time to reinstall programs and return everything to it's shiny and happy self again so I will be in the background stitching up a storm while digital stuff is on hold.
Thank you 100x for your understanding and patience ^^;

Just letting you know from July 31st-August 10th, I will be on vacation!
I'm heading to my grandparents for the week before Animethon to see my friends, celebrate my birthday (so old) and do some last minute sewing on my cosplay...
... then I'll be cosplaying and partying at Animethon! If you're there, let me know!

I'm alive! And what a trip it has been!

What a crazy few months it has been! It's felt like back to back cons (even though only two were really back to back ) and I feel like I'm just catching up now! Let's start where all the madness began:
April- Calgary Comic Expo
This was pretty much where the insanity started! I ended up winning a VIP pass which got me to the front of many lines I wouldn't have originally hopped into. I went with lucifur and 
maestro . On the Friday, I got to meet Neil Patrick Harris (and internally lost my mind !!!) as well as Luci and I got to see the Final Fantasy Orchestra which was super rad. (if you don't know already, I adore orchestrated videogame music).
On the Saturday, Masetro arrived, we went to the con again, saw the people, did the things, scored the goals, got the points, I became a hobbit ( I had ears attached professional at the WETA booth). The day ended after a delicious meal at Melrose and seeing the makeup panel that WETA put on. Sunday was sleep and recover day.
Sad April News
My job decided they no longer wanted me and I was released back into the wild to fend for myself once again. While at the time this was stressful and sad, it's allowed me to move on to what I love and I hope you will all help me continue on this journey with fursuit building and art.
MAY OHMYGOSHMAY - Fur-Eh and Otafest
FUR EH
Fur Eh was mainly a blurr for me, if I wasn't at my dealers table, I was hosting a panel, if I wasn't hosting a panel, I was at my dealers table, if I was at neither of those places and dealers was closed? I was in my suit somewhere. There really is not full story I can write for this con other than IT WAS AWESOME! I met so many amazing new people, reconnected with old friends, and suited more than I have in a year! See y'all next year fuzzies!
Otafest!
I originally was only going to this con to host a panel and leave, but ended up going earlier than I intended to, inadvertantly reconnected with a friend I haven't seen in eons (with a good push from Lucifur ) and my panel was a huge success.
I ran the Prop Building 101 panel which was packed and full of so many amazing costumes, people, and questions. Here's hoping I can come back next year!
What is on the horizon in moons to come for this panda? I'm hoping to open for more commissions soon as I quietly prepare for Animethon in August. I will be uploading photos in the next week or so once I reassemble my office.
I cannot thank you all for your amazing support so far and here's hoping it only goes up from here!

I originally was only going to this con to host a panel and leave, but ended up going earlier than I intended to, inadvertantly reconnected with a friend I haven't seen in eons (with a good push from
Lucifur ) and my panel was a huge success. I ran the Prop Building 101 panel which was packed and full of so many amazing costumes, people, and questions. Here's hoping I can come back next year!
What is on the horizon in moons to come for this panda? I'm hoping to open for more commissions soon as I quietly prepare for Animethon in August. I will be uploading photos in the next week or so once I reassemble my office.
I cannot thank you all for your amazing support so far and here's hoping it only goes up from here!

Posted 10 years agoIt's time for me to poke my head in and let you know I'm alive. I'm just going to copy paste what I put on my artist account on Facebook here to keep things simple:
"I'm sorry I've been gone so long my friends. In December, my family was faced with a terrible loss and we begin to prepare for another one so I've been taking time to take care of my family who has always taken care of me.
The family member we lost and the one we are about to lose, however, are the kind of people who wouldn't want to see me wallow in despair and give up on my passions. So without further ado...
I'M BACK!"
I plan on trying to upload something at least once a month and to stop sitting on my ass and feeling sorry for myself. That's just not how I roll . I never have so I don't know why I'm letting it happen now.
Thank you to everyone whos given me a prod to let me know I'm cared about and to make sure I'm taking care of myself mentally and emotionally while stumbling through this mess.

To start, I was slammed with three pieces of some of the worst news I could get, practically back to back. I'm still recovering from these situations and it's been incredibly hard. It's caused my health to go downhill and I'm getting the help I need. It's just taking longer than I ever could have expected.
My goal is to have all my drawing commissions done this month and to have it done so I can open for smaller things as I become better and feel that I can finish them properly and with the care they deserve. This is the main reason for the delays that have happened, I don't want to rush. My personal view is if I had to wait this long, I would want the artist to put their all into it which is what I'm trying to give you. If anyone wants to know a bit more, feel free to note me and I will answer as I feel comfortable. If anyone wants a refund, just let me know via note.
Thank you for our understanding. I feel that 2015 is going to be a new year of new beginnings, new practices and for things to be better.
