Looking for feedback
Posted 5 months agoTook a break for a bit but I'm hoping to get back into drawing more regularly soon-ish. With it being a new year, one of the first things I'd like to do is set some new goals for what I want to improve on. There are a definitely some things I know need to improve but I also realized it's been over a decade since I last got any sort of proper outside feedback or critique on my style as a whole. So, before I go setting any concrete goals for the year, I was hoping to get some feedback from other people. I often have a problem with obsessing over the little details too much and missing bigger more obvious problems so I'm hoping that some outside perspectives might help me zero in on what I should actually be focusing on. If you have any feedback, criticisms, or what have you, any and all would be greatly appreciated.

Commissions Are Closed
Posted 7 months agoClasses are starting up again next week so I'm closing commissions for a bit. Not sure when I'll be able able to open them again but I'm hoping to be able to do more this year than last, schedule permitting.
Opening commissions for a bit
Posted 8 months agoClasses are on break for a bit so I should have time to do a few commissions. Similar to last time, I've got other things going on so I probably won't be taking on any particularly large projects, but I'll do what I can.
Prices per character:
$30 for line art
$50 for colored and shaded
For information about what I will and won't draw, check this old journal. If you're interested or if you have any questions, please send me a note and I'll respond as soon as I'm able.
Thank you for reading and have a great day

Life Stuff + Plans for the Year
Posted a year agoNot used to doing these kind of status update posts so apologies if it's a bit stiff.
It's been a busy year and is probably going to get worse. On top of everything else going on, in a couple months I'm going to be starting a new job and probably going back to school this fall. When all that happens I may end up with less time to work on drawing and may need to close commissions. May happen sooner depending on what is involved in the job transition but who knows.
In the meantime, I've decided that my art goal for the year is to focus on diversifying and getting used to drawing more things. Currently the things I really want to work on is getting better at canine, dragon, and inanimate tfs, figuring out how to do bird tfs in the first place, and trying my hand at a few non-tf things (petrification, fusion, etc). Most of these will probably be fairly basic sketches which should work with my upcoming schedule and hopefully I'll end up with some new stuff worth uploading. But yeah, if anyone starts to wonder why the guy whose work seems to consist of 90% hoofed animal tfs is suddenly posting everything but, that's why.
To that end, if anyone has anything of that nature that they would like to see that I don't draw often or haven't drawn at all, feel free to leave a comment mentioning it. I make no guarantees about doing it but I'm going to be more likely to do it if the idea is in my head.

Trying Out Commissions
Posted 2 years agoAlright, I think my schedule should be open enough to give this a try. For now I'm going to start off with 3 slots. I may adjust going forward but for now I just want to make sure I can actually do this with my schedule without completely upending my life.
If you're interested in getting a slot, sending a note on here is the best way although I can also be reached by email at Shirageta[at]hotmail.com if you prefer. I'll do my best to respond promptly although I may be a bit slow during the latter half of the week (12 hr night shift will do that)
Pricing per character:
$40 - lines
$60 - colors + shading
I'll be taking payments through Paypal and they will need to be made before I start working.
Few notes:
Things I won't draw:
Underage characters, vore, gore, birth, unbirth, scat, waterworks, diapers, and probably some other things I don't know about
If you have any specific preferences (specific features you do or don't want, character reactions, etc) let me know and I can try to accommodate. Same thing if you want to be credited anonymously or if you want to keep the piece SFW
I may consider sequence commissions depending on the length but I won't be taking any comic commissions. I suck bad at paneling and the like so I'd end up wasting a lot of time on things that don't really matter much.
If you have any questions feel free to ask through a note or in a comment.
Thank you for reading to the end and have a good day

Commission Advice
Posted 2 years agoNot sure if this is the place to do this but I figure it can't hurt to ask.
Assuming that nothing major happens to screw up my plans, I'm planning to try doing some commissions later this fall. Problem is, I've never done anything like this before and I'm not really sure what I'm doing. If anyone with some experience happens to read this and is willing to share any advice they have to help things go more smoothly and calm my anxiety, I'd very much appreciate it.
